Chapter 7

Once each realized that the other had no intention of stopping, they quickly made their way to Haley's apartment just around the corner. Like the night before their heated words had turned into raw passion that left nothing to the imagination.

However, this time instead of falling asleep alone on the opposite side of the bed, she was wrapped in Nathan's arms. There was something about having her naked body pressed against his that was unlike anything or anyone she had ever been around. She had tried to chalk it up to wedding jitters, she was looking for a way out, but now she wasn't so sure.

Nathan felt her calm breathing against him. She was asleep, and unlike almost every other girl that had fallen asleep in his arms, he actually wanted her to be there. Why? That he wasn't quite sure of. She drove him crazy, the way she always questioning him and calling him out on things. It was difficult to even talk to her, but at least she made him think. Most the girls he slept with knew nothing more than the moves in the Kama Sutra. And sure that was great for awhile, but after that there was nothing.

He nuzzled his chin in the crook of her neck and was about to settle into a slumber of his own when there was a knock on the door. He figured they would go away, but whoever it was continued to pound on the door.

"Haley," Nathan said. She didn't respond. Two more times he repeated her name and she didn't move. The knocking didn't cease either. 'Damn, she's a sound sleeper,' he thought before taking a different approach to waking her.

Haley's eyes fluttered open almost instantly after Nathan's lips began to trail down her back.

"What are you doing?" She questioned. Just then there was another knock on the door.

"Trying to wake you. There's someone at the door."

"They'll go away," Haley said as she pulled Nathan to her. His lips met hers with much enjoyment. There was another knock.

"I wouldn't be so sure."

Haley moaned before pulling the sheet around her and walking into the living room.

"Who is it?"

"Its me."

Haley froze. Steven.

"Haley are you going to open the door or not?"

"Hold on just a second!"

Haley quickly ran back into the bedroom.

"Who is it?"

"You have to get dressed," she said pulling on her own clothing.

"What's going on?"

"Nathan, please," she said throwing him his shirt.

Nathan unwillingly pulled on his jeans and the shirt Haley had just thrown his way.

"Come with me."

She grabbed his hand and pulled him through the apartment.

"Stay in here and don't say anything," she instructed and pushed Nathan into Brooke's bedroom.

"Haley what is going on?"

"Nathan. Just wait. Please."

"Fine."

Haley closed the door and straightened her clothes before opening the door.
