It was the day before homecoming as Anya and her friends were setting up stuff in the gym while Principal Sheldon was watching them.

"So, did you figure out who your homecoming date might be? I hope it's that Calvin guy since you've been talking all about for quite some time lately" Charlotte had asked Anya in a curious tone of voice while she was hanging up some decorations on the wall as she heard Anya beginning to speak.

"Oh, well, Calvin is super busy tomorrow so I guess I'm going solo unless you don't mind doing double dates tomorrow and whatnot" Anya had jokingly responded back as this caused Charlotte to giggle at that statement as she began to speak as well.

"That's quite unfortunate but you still have your friends of course so don't feel too bad or anything and just focus on having a good time, okay?" Charlotte had advised her friend as she was met with Anya nodding her head in agreement as both girls suddenly looked over to see Allison, Carrie, and Russell chatting amongst themselves while helping each other with setting up.

"Say, Allison doesn't have a homecoming date as well, right? It seems like he's on the same boat as well unfortunately but I'm hoping he finds that lucky person by tomorrow" Anya had spoken to Charlotte while she nodded her head in agreement as the pair continued to set up for the upcoming event while being watched by Greta.

"Allison doesn't have a homecoming date? I know Nancy and Mai don't have one and I've already talked to them about it but I never really talked to Allison regarding the issue so maybe I should go and see why he doesn't have a date yet" Greta had quietly spoken out to herself while walking over to the area which Allison and the others were at as she began signal for their attention.

"Greta, what seems to be the issue? You want something from us?" Russell had asked his friend in a tone of curiosity as he was met with Greta nodding her head in confirmation.

"Yes, but, I only want to talk to Allison about something if that's okay with him? It won't take too long" Greta had spoken back as she looked over to motion her hand to capture Allison's attention.

"I guess Greta wants something from me but you guys can finish setting those decorations up or you guys can wait for me while I talk to Greta" Allison had spoken to his friends as he carefully gotten down from the ladder to speak with Greta as the pair walked off to a more private area to discuss the matter.

"So, Allison? I was wondering why you haven't had a date for homecoming yet? I'm only curious because I didn't want you, Mai, or Nancy to feel left out since the others are having homecoming dates and whatnot" Greta had asked her friend in a curious tone of voice as she waited for an answer before Allison began to speak.

"Well, I'd mostly had zero luck since most of the boys weren't interested in me but I did have one person in mind but he's already taken so I guess that's out of the question…" Allison had spoken back in a rather bummed out tone voice as this made Greta curious yet also bummed out as well as she began to speak.

"That sucks and you don't have to tell me but who's the person you wanted to ask but was taken? Again, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to" Greta had asked Allison as she saw him walking closer towards her ear as Allison began to whisper his name.

"Russell.." Allison had whispered as this revelation made Greta raise her eyes in surprise as she saw Allison blushing with a small smile on his face.

"I had a feeling, Russell is a pretty swell guy so I do expect him to have people crushing on him but did you tell him or Carrie yet or you plan on hiding that information for now?" Greta had asked her friend once more as Allison nodded his head to the latter statement.

"I might hide it for now but I may just tell Russell just to get it out of the way but It's also gonna suck being rejected since it's my natural reaction to feel hurt by stuff like this and he's also been so kind to me alongside with Carrie of course but like my mother says, you must always keep moving forward and ensure that you just get things done or however how it goes" Allison had answered back while chuckling to herself at the very last part of his sentence as this made Greta smile warmly.

"And that's okay! If you do ever plan on telling then just know that you and him will still be good friends and that's what is truly important, okay? The fact that he doesn't care about how you present yourself is a good sign that he'll be with you no matter what" Greta had spoken back before giving Allison a warm hug before releasing herself from the hug.

"Thank you for the advice, I honestly needed that and that honestly kinda motivated me to tell Russell about my feelings. If I'm being honest with you so thank you once again" Allison had spoken back in a happy tone of voice while Greta nodded her head.

"Of course, I'm glad to hear that but, I should let you go now since I don't wanna waste too much of your time but It was a pleasure chatting with you like this and we should talk more" Greta had spoken to her friend while Allison smiled back as he saw Greta walking back to Anya's area to watch over them.

"Allison, Is everything okay? You and Greta were talking for quite some time and we were kinda getting worried for a second" Russell had asked his friend in a tone of curiosity as he was met with Allison beginning to speak.

"Everything is fine, me and Greta were just catching up with each other so nothing too major or anything.." Allison had answered back with a smile on his face while walking over to resume helping his friends out with the preparations.

"Oh, okay, glad to hear that things went well. It makes me happy to see my friends doing good but If you ever wanna talk or anything then just know I'm always here for you, okay? You're my friend and I'll do whatever it takes to help those I love and care about" Russell had spoken back as he smiled warmly at Allison.

"L-Likewise, I'm always here for you as well…" Allison had spoken back to his friend as both boys smiled warmly at each other as they continued with helping each other with decorations while Allison knew that despite Russell turning him down, their friendship will forever be the thing that will continue to grow in the years to come and that's something that will truly matter most for Allison.
