Sakura Ch. 2- The Unknown Spell

"...Inuyasha?" Kagome said.

"Kagome! Are you ok?" Inuyasha asked, with concern in his voice.

"I think so...where are we?'" Kagome asked.

"In Kaede's hut. I found you in the fields near here and you were unconscious so I brought you here...what happened!? You could have gotten killed out there alone!" Inuyasha said, half shouting.

"I know, but..." Kagome looked away from Inuyasha.

Inuyasha sighed and said, "...Just...be careful next time. I...don't want to lose you." Inuyasha stood up and walked towards the exit, but before he went out, he said, "Go ahead and get some rest. I'm going to talk to the others." He then left.

Kagome sighed and slowly sat up. 'Finally. Time alone and what did he mean 'I don't want to lose you?' Kagome thought. 'What should I do? How did I ever let things get this bad?'

Kagome started to remember things that happened that night.

Flashback

Kagome, who was in the forest, was looking for Inuyasha. She saw him leave the hut and got suspicious so she decided to follow him. After an hour of searching for him and not finding him, she decided to go to the field that was near the village and enjoy herself. She went and never expected for...Kikyo to be there. "...K-Kikyo?" Kagome said in a shocked tone. She stood still on the fields, while listening to Kikyo's reply.

"Why isn't it my reincarnation? How have you been?" Kikyo said, in a not too kind tone.

".................." Kagome didn't answer.

"You're in the way." Kikyo said suddenly.

Kagome's eyes widen when she felt a sharp pain in/on her leg. She fell to the ground on her knees and looked up to find Kikyo smirking.

"What's wrong? I thought you were the powerful one. You will soon lose conscious and a new pain will arrive in you shortly. You will get what you deserve. I will take Inuyasha with me to hell...and you will die. How sad it has to end this way for you." Kikyo said and grabbed Kagome's hair. She yanked it as hard as she could and pushed Kagome to the ground. "Die." Kikyo said and walked away. Kagome was now breathing heavily and soon lost conscious. The last thing she felt was rain.

End of Flashback

'What should I do? Did she really do something to me?' Kagome thought. She uncovered a blanket that was over her so she could look at her wound. The wound was wrapped with a bandage and Kagome thought of unwrapping, but when she tried, she flinched from the pain. 'I'll just leave it alone.' Kagome thought. She sighed again and started to feel tired so she took a little nap. With Inuyasha

Inuyasha walked into the hut where the others were in. He entered and found them sitting down on the floor with serious faces. He plopped himself down in a corner.

"Inuyasha, we were just discussing some important issues about Lady Kagome." Miroku said.

"What about Kagome?" Inuyasha asked.

"Well...her wound. It's not an ordinary wound." Sango said.

"What the hell does that mean?" Inuyasha said. He started to get annoyed. Why wouldn't they get to the point already?

"Well, like Sango said. The bite mark on Kagome's leg is not an ordinary wound. I have examined it carefully and I believe I have come to a conclusion. Someone has put a spell on Kagome. I am not familiar with this spell and I do not know what the spell will do to Kagome. All I know is that ye should find out who gave Kagome that bite mark. That may prove useful to ye, but if not I will try to help as much as I can." Kaede said.

"Is Kagome awake yet?" Shippou, who was on Sango's lap, asked.

"Yeah, but I think she wants to rest. Back to the important subject." Inuyasha said.

"Did Lady Kagome say anything about how she got her wound?" Miroku asked.

"No, she didn't say a word. I tried asking her, but she just looked away." "Maybe Lady Sango can assist us. Why don't you give it a try?" Miroku asked.

"Sure. Why not?" Sango said while petting Kirara. Kirara, who was sitting next to Sango, purred.

"Okay everyone. That is our plan for now. Let Kagome rest for a while and then we will let Sango give it a try." Kaede said. "I need to gather some herbs now. Shippou, would you join me?" Kaede asked.

"...okay." Shippou answered and hopped from Sango's lap and went out with Kaede.

Inuyasha had a look of concern, confusion, and anger in his eyes. Normally he would be trying to help Kagome as much as he could right now, but something told him not too.

1 hour later

Kagome finally woke up and decided she wanted to take a bath. She tired to get up, but the pain was too much to bear. She gave up. Then Sango entered the hut.

"Kagome? How are you feeling?"

"Not too good. I want to go to the hot spring near here, but I can't get up."

"Oh. Can you wait a sec.?" Sango asked.

"Sure." Kagome said.

A couple of minutes later Inuyasha came in. He lifted her up and carried her bride-style again.

"Inuyasha?! What are you doing?!"

"I'm taking you to the hot spring."

"What about Sango?"

"She's coming. I'm just dropping you off."

"Ow!" Kagome yelled.

"Are you alright, Kagome?!" Inuyasha asked.

"Yeah, but my leg." Kagome said.

"Sorry." He said and positioned her into a more comfortable position. "What about my stuff?" Kagome asked.

"Sango can handle it." Inuyasha said and darted to the direction of the hot spring.

When they arrived, Inuyasha put Kagome down on the ground, but she fell into his arms.

"Sorry. I still can't stand." Kagome said.

Inuyasha blushed, but mustered out, "It's ok."

He carefully helped her sit on the ground. He sat next to her and they sat in silence. "Kagome?"

"Yes?"

"Is there anything you need to talk about?"

"..."

"You can tell me anything, you know." Inuyasha said. (A/N: maybe that's a little OOC.)

"I just don't...."
