Wow. I got reviews! I'm so happy. I thought that I didn't get any reviews, but it was because Fanfiction.net wasn't working properly. Well, even if no one liked my story, I would probably still go on.

Sakura Ch. 3-It Begins

"I just don't...

Kirara landed gracefully on the ground with Sango. Ahem Sango cleared her throat, noticing the tension.

The two looked back. 'Thank goodness! I'm saved.' Kagome thought.

Inuyasha sighed and stood up. "I'll leave you girls alone." Inuyasha said and walked off. He didn't plan to go back to the village. He sat on a tree branch and eavesdropped.

"Can you get in the hot spring?" Sango asked.

"Can you help me?" Kagome asked.

"Sure." Sango said.

The two girls got themselves situated in the hot spring. None of them said a word, but then Sango suddenly broke the silence.

"Kagome? How's your leg? Does it still hurt?" Sango asked.

"It does, but I'm alright." Kagome said.

"Do you know how you got the wound?" Sango asked.

"..."

"Kagome, I'm your best friend. You can tell me."

"Well..."

"Do you at least know who did it?"

Kagome nodded. "Do I know the person?" Sango asked.

Kagome nodded again. "...Okay! I can't take it anymore! You have to tell me, Kagome! I'll make sure they'll pay." Sango said.

"...Okay. I'll tell you. It was...it was...Kikyo." Kagome said in a whisper. Sango wouldn't have heard her, if she didn't move closer to Kagome.

"What?! It was her?" Sango asked in a surprised tone. "Are you sure it was her?"

"Yes, I saw her face clearly. We had a talk." Kagome said. She looked down, and told Sango what Kikyo said. Kagome left out the part about Kikyo saying she would die.

"She said that?! It's... hard to believe."

Inuyasha almost fell off the branch when he heard that Kikyo was the one who gave Kagome the wound. He couldn't believe it. 'Kikyo? She did that to Kagome? ... Why would she do that...? I can't believe it. How could it have been Kikyo?' Inuyasha thought. He kept on listening.

"Is that all she said?" Sango asked.

"...y-yeah. That's all she said." Kagome lied. She wasn't sure if she should take Kikyo seriously about the going to die thing, but she should have known better, Kikyo was always serious.

"I'm ready to go, Sango." Kagome said.

"Ok. Then let's go back."

The two got out of the spring and changed into new clothing. They headed back to the village.

It didn't take them a long time to reach the village since they were riding on Kirara. The two hopped off.

"I want to try to walk by myself." Kagome said.

"..Okay, but be careful." Sango said.

Kagome tried standing, but...the pain was still there. She fell to her knees.

"Kagome?! Are you okay?" Sango asked.

Kagome was breathing harshly, and sweating. "Kagome, what's wrong?!" Sango asked. "Lady Kaede! Quick! Kagome needs help!" Sango shouted.

Inuyasha and the rest came rushing out. "Kagome?!!" Inuyasha said.

"What is wrong?" Kaede asked.

Inuyasha picked Kagome up and entered the hut. "Something's wrong with Kagome."

Put her down over there." Kaede said and pointed to a spot.

"Miroku! Go fill this bucket with cold water."

"Okay." Miroku said. He took the bucket and left.

"Sango! Help me unwrap the bandage." Kaede said.

Sango came over and unwrapped the bandage over Kagome's wound.

"This is terrible." Kaede said. Most of Kagome's leg was turning a blackish- purplish color. Kagome made a cry sound, and Inuyasha came closer to Kagome.

"Sango! Shippou! Come! You will help me find special herbs for Kagome." Kaede said. The two followed and left Inuyasha and Kagome alone.

Kagome made more cry sounds, and it pained Inuyasha. He hated seeing her like this. When Kagome started to breathe more easily, she said, "Inu..yasha...sorry to make you worry." Kagome gave him a weak smile.

"You shouldn't be talking. Save your energy." Inuyasha held one of Kagome's hands. '...Kagome. Did Kikyo really do this to you?' Inuyasha thought.

Suddenly Miroku appeared with a bucket of water. He put the bucket down and asked, "Where are the others?"

"Looking for some herbs." Inuyasha said.

Miroku's eyes widen when he saw the wound. He examined it and said, "I think I know a little about this."

"What?! Spit it out!" Inuyasha said.

"Calm down. I said I think. I think I have seen this wound before. This kind of injury can only be made by a powerful monk or priestess. It has very strong poison, and it will start following throughout the body." Miroku said.

"Well, do you know how to heal it?!" "I believe not. Did Sango find out who attacked Kagome?"

"...Hey! I...can hear...everything...you guys...say." Kagome struggled to say.

"I told you not to talk!" Inuyasha snapped. He didn't answer Miroku's question.

Inuyasha then started to sniff the air. He made a disgusted face. "Kouga." Inuyasha said.

A gust of wind came flying in. "What did you do to my woman, mutt?!!" Kouga yelled.
