Sakura Ch.9: Battle
Inuyasha stood up from the ground slowly. He was now covered in blood and had major wounds and cuts all over his body.
"Inuyasha! Are you alright?" Sango asked as she came up to him.
He didn't answer. He was too busy focusing on a way to destroy the thing in front of him.
The battle with Naraku was a fierce one. Everyone had some sort of injury on them. Sango had the least wounds, but she felt the weakest. The wounds she received from Kagura were starting to kick in. Miroku had cuts on his face was sweating everywhere. Kouga had cuts on his face, body, and had and a major wound on his leg. But for Inuyasha...he had the worst injuries and felt the worst.
While Naraku had tried to kill Inuyasha, the others tried to help, but Kagura and Kanna were always in their way.
'Damn it! What am I going to do now?! Naraku still has Kagome and I can barely move!' Inuyasha thought.
Naraku laughed. "What will you do now, Inuyasha? You are too injured to fight and I still have this girl in my arms."
Inuyasha growled. "Let her go Naraku!" Inuyasha yelled.
"...Why would I? I think I'll keep this girl for entertainment."
Inuyasha growled even more.
Naraku just laughed. "Since you are in bad condition, I will not fight you yet, but instead see how you will react when you have to fight your Kagome."
Inuyasha's eyes widen when he saw that Kagome was now a few feet away from him. (A/n: by Kanna's power. Right?) Inuyasha took a step back. Then a bow and arrow appeared in Kagome's hands. She aimed it at Inuyasha. She held no emotion whatsoever.
"Kagome! Snap out of it!" Sango yelled at her friend.
"It's no use. Kagome doesn't have her soul so she can't control herself." Miroku said.
"Then what's he gonna do?" Kouga asked. "If Kagome can't control herself then what happens?"
Miroku didn't answer, but instead focused on Inuyasha and Kagome.
Kagome was about to let the arrow fly, but then, suddenly, a different arrow hit Kagome's hand and made her drop her arrow and bow.
Everyone turned their gazed at where the arrow came from.
"...K-Kikyo?" Inuyasha said.
Kikyo stepped out behind a tree. There she was. She was standing right before their eyes with her bow and arrows.
"What are you doing here?" Inuyasha asked, forgetting Kagome.
Kikyo didn't answer. She just stood there like a rock.
"...Why Kikyo. What a pleasant surprise." Naraku said.
Inuyasha was now next to Kikyo. He had no idea what to do. Now he had two people he had to protect. He cursed silently.
"Kanna, call back the girl." Naraku said. Oh how he had a plan. He would not let Inuyasha die that easily. First he would have to suffer.
Kanna did as told. Kagome walked next to Kanna and Kagura, which was standing next to Naraku.
A couple minutes later, the ground started to shake and there was a very strong wind blowing. Inuyasha and the others had to hold on to something, for the wind would blow them away if they didn't.
Then Naraku told Kagura to attack everyone, plus Kagome, with her fan attacks. She did, but was still confused why he wanted her to attack Kagome.
When Kagome was badly injured, Naraku told Kanna to release some of Kagome's soul. Kanna did as told.
Kagome had back a part of her soul and closed her eyes tightly when she felt pain flow through her body. She opened her eyes and looked up. She was shocked. She saw that all her friends were laying on the ground out cold. But the thing she noticed the most was Inuyasha.
"Kikyo?! Are you alright?!" Inuyasha asked with concern in his voice when he found Kikyo with wounds and cuts. (A/N: Not as bad as Kagome's though.)
"...Yes, I'm fine, but what about my reincarnation?"
"We have to get you back somewhere safe first. Her wounds can't be as bad as yours." Inuyasha said, not even trying to look for Kagome. (A/N: Inuyasha is so OOC, but I gotta do what I gotta do.)
Kagome felt a tear slide down her cheek. '...So...he doesn't care after all.' Kagome thought and fainted.
Naraku told Kanna to take her soul back and bring her to him. She followed his commands.
"...Well...Inuyasha. I think it is time to finish this." Naraku said.
Inuyasha looked up at Naraku. 'Shit! I forgot all about him and Kagome's still in his control!'
Inuyasha looked behind to face Kikyo, but she wasn't there. "..What..."
"You have fallen for it again, Inuyasha. Kikyo was never really there. It was only an illusion." Naraku said.
Inuyasha went furious. He then looked around him. The others were knocked out so it was only him. He wounds were getting worse since blood was still pouring out and he felt light headed, but what could he do about it? He had to face Naraku alone.
Inuyasha charged at Naraku with all his might and the battle, once again, started.
Couple of hours passed and the battle still continued. The others had awoken and were watching the battle.
Sango was tired of watching one of her companions get hurt so she decided to think of an idea. When she saw that Kagura and Kanna were off guard she thought of something. She tugged on Miroku's shirt/dress. (A/N: Miroku wears what again? *sweat drops*)
"What is it?"
"I have a plan. While Inuyasha and Naraku are fighting, we can fight Kagura and Kanna. We might be able to break Kanna's mirror and free Kagome." Sango whispered.
"Alright. Let us tell Kouga." Miroku said.
They planned out their idea and took a shot it at. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Um...I don't think it's a good chapter. I was...in a rush so....I'm really sorry. But Naraku will die soon. Inuyasha was pretty ooc when he was talking to the fake kikyo, wasn't he? Sorry for that, but yeah. It has to be done. And I was just joking about this being the last chapter. ^____^ . I think someone asked me why Kanna can use her mirror to suck up Kagome's soul now. Just think of it as...her mirror got updated. ^_^ I have such a major headache right now...so I'm gonna go. Plz r&r. thanks everyone.
