Witches and wizards around the globe were shocked yesterday as Hermione Granger (best friend of the recently fallen Harry Potter) revealed that she had been working with the team of muggle 'heroes' known as the Avengers for many years. Ms Granger, 27, was reportedly instrumental in helping to bring about the defeat of the dark wizard, You-Know-Who, in Great Britain nearly a decade ago, but more recently has been operating under the pseudonym 'The Sorceress' as she combatted threats in the muggle world. The incredible revelations were announced by Granger, herself, hours before she faces a muggle inquiry regarding the actions of her Avengers team before the terrible events of May 31st. Her admissions have prompted outrage in magical circles at such a potentially blatant flaunting of the Statute of Secrecy and there have been calls for her imminent arrest. Another emergency summit of the International Confederation of Wizards is expected to be called just days after initial talks in regards to the disaster were completed...

UN PANEL CLEARS AVENGERS OF CULPABILITY FOR THANOS ATTACK.

After hearing evidence for nearly two weeks, a UN panel in New York has concluded that the Avengers did all in their power in the face of a far superior enemy. Much has come to light in the hours of testimony (broadcast publicly due to massive global pressure asking for transparency) and there is expected to be some fallout from the admissions made by the likes of Hermione Rogers (the previously anonymous Sorceress) and Colonel James 'War Machine' Rhodes given that they appear to have broken the terms of the UN's own Accords of two years ago, particularly in regards to the late Captain America and his band of rebels. However, one UN source told us that they expect these transgressions to be swept under the rug in the wake of Thanos's devastating actions. "The citizens of the world need to come together now more than ever. What good would it do to lock the Sorceress away for failing to divulge her husband's location when there's so much she can be doing to help others with her gifts and resources." Little is known about Hermione Rogers' past but it was revealed amidst proceedings last week that she is the co-founder of the humanitarian-led company Stranger Enterprises along with Tony Stark. Another source revealed that SE - led by Mrs Rogers - have been working ceaselessly these last few weeks to begin the daunting prospect of providing aid and assistance to every global community and this, surely, has been noted in the Sorceress' favour by those within the UN...

Magical communities around the world were left stunned once more after an admission from Supreme Mugwump, Babajide Akingbade, that the International Confederation of Wizards had not only been aware of Hermione Granger's magical work with muggles, but they had secretly sanctioned it too. Furthermore, it has been revealed that after the team of muggles Granger worked with (the Avengers) accidentally became aware of our magical society, instead of having their memories modified, the muggles merely signed a magical secret-keeping document that prevented them from passing on their knowledge to anyone else. Akingbade defended the Confederation's astonishing and unprecedented actions by pointing out that Granger's involvement in the Avengers helped to prevent global disasters, and no further discovery of the wizarding world occurred in the two years since the secret-keeping documents were signed...

Hermione Granger has been consistently hitting the headlines for several weeks; her actions with the muggle Avengers group nearly brought down the International Confederation of Wizards earlier this month. But, just as the uproar and scandals were beginning to die down, Ms Granger yesterday posted an astonishing open letter in every magical publication around the world, in which she called for an end to the secrecy of magic; for witches and wizards to come out of hiding and help to rebuild the world. Humankind, she claimed, would only be able to recover to anything resembling the world that it once was, if we were a united front, each utilising our strengths for the good of the global community…

"Yes, hello there, my faithful listeners - Tilly Tattershall here, with your promised write-in edition of the show, focusing purely on your responses to Hermione Granger's stunner of a letter. My office has been flooded with the owls you've sent in with your thoughts on the possible end of the Statute of Secrecy. We've had to put out more than one fire due to howler combustion - those listeners clearly letting their anger speak for itself seeing as their letter exploded before we all got a chance to hear it on the wireless. A/N As I said above, something a bit different here. It was the only way I could think of to show the immediate impact and how things initially progressed in my world. Hope it read well and all the line breaks weren't too annoying. Even though I wrote this a long time ago, I do remember enjoying myself quite a lot as I did it.
