Excuses, Excuses

A/N: This story was written by me, Dobby. Lupy thought it was hilarious, so she persuaded me to submit it.

"I didn't do my homework, today," James confided to Sirius as they were walking to their first class, Transfiguration.

"Me neither," Sirius admitted. "What's your excuse?"

"Kissing Lily," James responded, like it was nothing.

"Lily? You kissed LILY EVANS? As in girl-who-never-wants-to-see-James-again Lily Evans?" Sirius asked in shock.

"Same Lily!" James screamed in delight that he didn't even notice that half his Transfiguration class was staring at him as if he had just been in St. Mungo's.

Sirius fainted. James took him to the hospital wing.

"What brings you here, James?" Madam Pomfrey asked, sweetly.

"Um, Sirius sort of fainted cause I sort of told him that I kissed Lily.

"You kissed Lily Evans? But she hates you!!!" Madam Pomfrey asked in shock. She almost fainted herself, but then said sternly, "Teachers don't discuss such things, and we do not mess into this matter."

After Sirius got over his life-long shock, James asked Sirius why he didn't do his homework.

"I was too busy shouting at Kreacher, Bellatrix and 'Mommy'", Sirius replied in disgust.

Just then Peter came in.

"Hey, guys!"

James and Sirius greeted Peter.

"We didn't do our homework," James and Sirius said at the same time.

"I didn't either! What's your excuse?"

"Sirius was too busy screaming at Kreacher, Bellatrix, and his 'Mommy'", said James.

"And James was too busy kissing Lily", added Sirius.

Peter fainted.

"Better go to the hospital wing again." Sirius said.

Madam Pomfrey asked, "Why are you here again?"
"Same reason. Peter fainted," James answered.

After Peter was cured, Sirius and James were about to ask Peter why he didn't do his homework, when Remus came in.

"Why didn't you guys come during full moon? I was out all alone." Remus complained.

"Sirius was too busy screaming at Kreacher, Bellatrix, and his 'Mommy'", said James," Peter was- hey what WERE you doing, Peter?"

"I-I-I don't know," Peter stammered, secretly thinking about how he was sitting all alone wondering why he was such a lousy Marauder.

"And I was kissing Lily Evans," James said, in Madam Pomfrey's room just in case.

Remus fainted.

"Madam Pomfrey!" James called once again.

"STOP FAINTING!" Madam Pomfrey screamed and ran out of her room in annoyance.

"Whoa. If they act this way now, what'll they do when I tell them we're getting married?" James thought to himself.
