Hello! This is the first part of the second chapter, I hope you enjoy it. Leave feedback please, I still didn't wait for the translator, if someone can write to me on Discord - SdohshiDesigner#9020.
Dear Guest, I do not know your name because you are not registered, but your words touched me very much, you made a very right point about Takumi's relationship with Misaki, and this will be shown more than once, if you are interested, I have my own illustrations for this story, since I can't post a link here, I can send it in Discord.
And guys, it's very important that the time in the story corresponds to the time in the manga (when it came out in 2005, the story in the manga itself is identical), but a couple of years have passed for me, that is, now the story is 2008, and therefore many things will be exactly for this time, as far as I can know (I take all the information about Japan from relatives) so the story is purely Japanese, without possibly familiar things to readers.
Write everything you think to me too, this is very important, considering how badly I know English and I use a translator. Enjoy reading!
Drops of early morning dew trembled in the breeze as they rolled off the yellowed grass. Everything around them sparkled and shimmered with multi-colored leaves that had just begun to turn yellow.
Sidewalks and roads were crowded with crowds of people hurrying to work, black and white spots scurrying and flashing, turning the surroundings into a sad grayness. And only bright trees with green, yellow and red leaves brought colors to the everyday life of the Land of the Rising Sun.
And one single speck in the form of a running waitress stood out among all this chaos. The maid cafe that the girl was in such a hurry to go to was located opposite the Akihabara station, in the Taito area.
Misaki, for the sake of finances, decided that it was better not to waste them and get to work on foot, thereby warming up before a difficult shift. And although the guys had already solved this problem a long time ago (albeit scattering in violent insults, which made the blond learn a lot about himself) one way or another, Takumi still grumbled at the brunette every time, because he did not like the fact that she was in the evening will walk all alone, along dark narrow lanes ...
Exhaling in annoyance, Misaki herself did not notice how she had already come to her destination for reflection. Pushing open the service door behind the cafe, the brunette plunged into a world of sizzling cooking, bustling waitresses and a shrill but contented hubbub. The institution has just opened, but a lot of people have already arrived - Saturday after all.
- Misa-chan! the hostess rushed up to her, bowing quickly."Good morning, let's get dressed faster and take new orders, I wouldn't rush you like that, but we have so many people, it's hard to push through," the woman chirped optimistically, as always, smiling radiantly. Where does she get so much energy from?
- Greetings, Satsuki-san.- Now, can you tell me which table orders should be taken first? - immediately included in the work, asked the brunette. It was worth knowing in advance who was waiting for her.
- Oh, you always think about one thing, but you haven't had time to change clothes yet,- the boss wailed like a mother. - Well, All located at the window, two couples just entered.
After accepting the information, Misaki went to the locker room. Having fished out her outfit, which had already become familiar for several years, from the scratched iron wardrobe, the waitress threw off her clothes.
Using the same actions, polished to perfection for such a long work, she pulled the dress on, pulling the cotton material down in the chest area. Unfortunately for Ayuzawa, the fabric in that place, even after a while, still didn't want to stretch. After smoothing her starched apron, lacing up her well-worn boots and adjusting her bonnet, the young girl looked in the mirror, and, satisfied with the result, went to work.
Weaving between the round tables, Misaki quickly seated new customers, taking orders from them along the way. Polite smile, luminous attentive eyes, inborn charm and strictness of the girl, bribed the guests. Many people here had their favorite waitresses, and Misaki was no exception. This was especially true for younger some reason, the children were always drawn to the dark-haired maid, her kindness, coupled with discipline, collected the image of a teacher, subconsciously inciting the kids to obey her. The girl's heart tingled pleasantly every time she saw the children, that they all wanted to imitate the tone and sought to feed the maid, wielding absurdly chopsticks, pretending to be adults.
That was the pace of the first half of the shift. Dinner was approaching, and after a couple of minutes, the boss's voice full of joy called her:
- Misa-chan! You can go for a break, Subaru has already made tea, go rest for half an hour, there are already fewer people anyway,- Satsuki-san solicitously wailed, taking the girl who had worked hard by the arm.
Misaki breathed a sigh of relief as she entered the common dining room. Although she was hardworking, her tired body made itself felt. Pouring fragrant green tea into cups, the waitress plunged into a kind of slumber, enthusiastically warming her palms on the hot teapot.
A quiet hiss and the sweet smell of dishes that came from the kitchen twisted the stomach in a knot, forcing the brunette to follow him.
- Satsuki-san, do we have anything for a snack? - Misa asked, still shyly. Hurried footsteps and the clatter of dishes were heard in the corridor, and an eccentric woman in a dark violet maid's outfit with trays at the ready flew into the doorway.
- Ta-dah! Well, will I really forget about my hungry maids, of course, I will feed you, where will you go with me, - the already far from young cooed softly woman.
Now she reminded a grandmother that she carefully looked after her granddaughters. Meanwhile, the attentive gaze of the brunette focused on the tray in the hands of the hostess. Several types of dessert were placed on colorful melamine saucers: a pair of casuter - sugar-coated cakes do not have quite the taste that people usually expect from a typical biscuit. They give off a hint of honey, powder, green tea and special syrup.
Lots of fish-shaped taiyaki in different flavors, from the classic adzuka bean paste to meat paste, sweet cheese and simpler fillings like chocolate and custard. And finally, dorayaki bursting with heat - tender and airy buns with a berry or chocolate layer. All these dishes completely drove the brunette's hungry and tired body crazy that she even forgot about the table setting. Remembering the rest of the waitresses that were slowly starting to flock to the dining room, Misaki set the table anyway and sat down to wait for the others.
The cafe closed for a break, and finally all the girls gathered in the dining room, taking their seats. A girlish, carefree hubbub filled the room, and Misaki didn't even try to listen to their conversations, because they were all about typical female topics anyway, which the brunettes had nothing to do with. She turned her head towards the window, began to observe what was happening on the street, slowly shifting her gaze from the hurrying people to the barely perceptible nature.
Autumn slowly displaced summer, claiming its rights in the form of fluttering leaves in a cool wind and more frequent rains. The young waitress fell into a slumber, thinking about what was birthday is coming soon, her 20th birthday. It's the second year she's been living under the same roof with Takumi, and the third year she's been more tormented by doubts, like a predator eviscerating its prey. They bite into the heart and throat like a hungry wolf, preventing them from breathing normally, sometimes forming lumps that take their breath away, and make the heart bleed, as if crying.
Previously, the girl threw off such behavior for stress, but over time she began to understand that it was her clogged head that did not allow her to live normally. Her soul was troubled because of her fair-haired oaf. Who would have thought that over time she would begin to worry so much because of him. The chuckle tickled in the goiter, but now there was clearly no time for laughter.
While the brunette's mind was in the astral plane, the vigilant Satsuki-san noticed the change in mood of her ward and carefully pushed a warm piece of dorayaki with adzuki, thereby pulling the girl out of her subconscious. The boss smiled at her warmly, silently reassuring Misa. She thanked the optimistic hostess, picking up a still warm soft pancake, its spicy taste rolled on her tongue, and the sweet pasta enveloped her with warmth, warming Ayuzawa's stomach, tormented by hunger and thoughts.
Paying attention to girls who were older than her, Misaki began to realize how different she was from them. The girls first discussed "what is better to wear in such a beautiful, slightly windy August weather", "what European clothing brands are in fashion now" and, of course, the topic slowly spilled over into personal relationships. The brunette put down her plate, trying to silently slip away from such conversations, but girls are girls for that - they notice everyone and everything, and would not be themselves if they had not stopped Misaki at that moment.
