Chapter 1: The guests...
The Sol dimension was booming with excitement. Everyone in the empire was talking about the event tomorrow. Buildings were decorated specifically for the occasion.
But what was the occasion?
Tomorrow was the wedding day of Princess Blaze the cat! She was getting married to the gray hedgehog from the future- Silver.
The citizens of the empire were initially surprised and a little skeptical about their future queen's choice. But then Silver helped Blaze in saving the Sol dimension from the evil Doctor Eggman. That's a story for another day though. After this the citizens truly accepted their new king-to-be and were now very excited for the wedding.
Speaking of Silver, Blaze and him were now standing in front of the gates of the palace, greeting the arriving guests. But those weren't the nobility of the Sol dimension or the TV team that was going to broadcast the ceremony for the public. No, those were the heroes who had helped Silver and Blaze (and vice versa) many times in the past. These guests were Sonic and his friends (though some of the didn't consider the blue hedgehog a friend). Blaze had just transported them from their home dimension.
Sonic was the first to come, alongside his best friend Miles 'Tails' Prower and (according to some rumors) Sonic's girlfriend Amy Rose and the wooden badnik Belle.
"Hey, guys!" Silver greeted his friends "Glad you could make it!"
"Truly, we are very happy you are here!" Blaze said with her usual noble fashion as she bowed to the four.
"Hey, you can't have a party without its' soul!" Sonic replied in his usual cheerful tone.
"No problem." the much more modest Tails said "It's a big day, after all!"
Amy immediately caught the future king and queen into a big hug "Oh, I am so happy for you, guys!"
"Thank you very much, Amy!" Blaze replied, a little flustered.
"You know that reminds me of the time when you mistook me for Sonic." Silver said with a smile.
"She mistook you for Sonic?!" Belle asked.
"Not just Silver." Sonic added "She also mistook-"
"Okey, let's go to our rooms, shall we?!" Amy interrupted Sonic, desperate to change the subject.
"Oh, Marine is going to show you, your rooms." Blaze said as she the four guests passed by her.
"Thanks, Blaze!" Sonic said "See you on the bachelor party, Silver!"
"See ya!" Silver replied and turned back to greet more of his friends.
The next to are were Knuckles the echidna, alongside Vector the crocodile, Espio the chameleon and Charmy the bee.
"Glade you could come to the wedding, Knuckles!" Blaze said to her fellow guardian.
"Chaos can't stop me from coming!" Knuckles announced with a smile "I've hidden the Master Emerald so no one would find it!"
"Like the last time when Neo Metal Sonic found it and almost destroyed Angel island!" Vector asked sarcastically.
"It won't happen this time!" Knuckles snapped at the crocodile.
"Whatever you say..." Vector rolled his eyes. He then turned back to the happy couple "Thanks again for the invitation!"
"What kind of a wedding will it be without the best DJ I know!" Silver smiled.
"Oh stop it! You are gonna make me blush!"
Silver then looked at Espio "And besides I can't invite my best man without his friends."
Espio smiled "Thank you again for the honor, my friend! I promise to do my best!"
"Espio why are you always taking everything so seriously?" Charmy asked.
"This a serious business!" the chameleon answered "As a best man I am responsible for a lot of things!"
"Charmy's got a point though." Silver said "We are here to have fun, after all."
"If you say so." Espio said, a little surprised.
"Okey boys," Vector said to his teammates and close friend "Blaze said Marine will show us our rooms."
"Wow!" Charmy gasped with astonishnent as he and the other entered into the palace "I have never been in a royal room before! How big do you think the bed will be?!"
Silver and Blaze smiled at the four and then looked at the new arrivals.
In front of them now stood Rouge the bat, E-123 Omega with a big bouquet of roses in his massive hands and finally (surprisingly) Shadow the hedgehog, the Ultimate lifeform.
"Kitty, Silver-boy," Rouge said happily "long time no see!"
"Long time no see, Rouge!" Silver responded "Thanks for coming!"
"I wouldn't miss a royal wedding for the world!" the bat laughed and then started touching Silver's chest fur "And besides it's my last chance to tease you a little bit..."
Silver was as red as a tomato "Uuuaaaauu, B-b-blaze, help me!"
But Blaze was too busy talking with Omega.
"FLOWERS FOR THE BEAUTIFUL BRIDE!" Omega boomed with his robotic voice.
"That's... very nice of you, Omega." Blaze said as she took the bouquet "Thank you!"
"ANYTHING FOR YOU, MY QUINN!"
"Oooookeeey..." Blaze looked pass Omega at Shadow. He was standing there with crossed arms as usual "Didn't expect to see you, Shadow."
The black and red hedgehog looked at Blaze "I wasn't planning to be here! I was going to look for Eggman's-" he was then elbowed by Rouge "But I eventually decided to go to this happy occasion."
"Regardless, I am happy to see you." Blaze said. Shadow didn't respond.
"Okey, why don't you guys go see your rooms?" Silver asked, desperate to get Rouge off his chest fur "Marine will show you the rooms."
"I DON'T NEED A ROOM, MEATBAG!" Omega said as he stood in front of Silver.
"But don't you need a room to recharge?" Silver asked.
"...AFFIRMATIVE!" Omega answered.
"Then why did you say you don't need a room?"
Rouge didn't wait for Omega to answer as she practically dragged the robot and the hedgehog inside "Yes, we better go see our rooms! Enjoy yourselves, love bugs!"
"Thank you, Rouge!" Blaze then turned to one of her guards "Keep a close eye on the bat!" the guard nodded.
While going Omega was saying to himself "NEW OBJECTIVE: TERMINATE THE GROOM!"
"What was that?!" Rouge immediately asked.
"NOTHING!"
Back with Silver and Blaze they were now greeting Cream the rabbit, her pet chao Cheese and Chocola, Cream's mother Vanilla, the family's protector Gemerl and finally Big the cat with his best friend Froggy.
"Blaze!" Cream exclaimed as she huged the cat.
"It's so good to see you, Cream!" Blaze joyful returned the hug.
"Thank you for coming, Miss Vanilla!" Silver said to the older rabbit.
"It's my pleasure!" Vanilla responded "And please call me Vanilla."
Silver smiled and looked at Big "It's good to see you, Big!"
"Good to see you too!" Big said "And thanks for giving Froggy an invitation as well."
"No problem. Well, you are probably tired from the way. Ask Marine for the rooms."
"Oh, I can't wait to see her again!" Cream giggled as she ran inside, followed by the other three.
Finally Tangle the lemur, Whisper the wolf and Jewel the beetle arrived to greet the newlyweds, who were almost immediately pulled into a huge by Tangle's tail.
"THIS. IS. SO. EXCITING!!!" Tangle yelled in her usual hyperactive manner "Two of my coolest friends are getting married and I am invited!"
"Trust me, Tangle," Blaze said as the lemur was releasing her and Silver from the hug "it's our pleasure."
"Definitely!" Silver added "After all having the Guardian Angel of the Battlefealed on my wedding is a dream come true!"
"Please, Silver," Whisper said quietly "It's not a big deal."
"This is a royal wedding! It is a big deal!" Jewel said to the wolf. She then turned to Silver and Blaze "Oh and thank you for inviting me. I know we are not very close, so..."
"Hey, any friend of Tangle and Whisper is our friend as well." Blaze said.
"Thank you." Jewel responded.
"Come on, Jewel!" Tangle interrupted the conversation "Let's go! I want to see if every room has a bathroom!"
"Tangle, wait for a minute!" Jewel followed her hyperactive friend inside the palaces.
"We have crazy friends, don't we?" Blaze said with a smile.
"We do," Silver agreed "But I wouldn't want any other friends!"
"Same!" the princess responded " So, my future husband, what are your plans for the rest of the day?"
"Well, my future wife, I will go prepare myself for the bachelor party."
"Well, I will prepare myself for the bachelorette party."
"A kiss before you go?" Silver asked hopefully.
Blaze rolled her eyes snd came to her husband-to-be. She wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him in for a kiss. Silver returned the kiss as he wrapping his hands around Blaze's waist. The two didn't break the kiss until they were out of breath.
"I will never get tired of this!" Silver said after the kiss.
"Me neither..." Blaze responded.
" Well... guess I will see you tomorrow."
"Yeah, till tomorrow."
The two were a little sad that they wouldn't be able to see each other before the ceremony, but so was the custom. The hedgehog and the cat both went their separate ways to prepare themselves for the coming evening. And with friends like theirs it was going to be one helluva evening!
