This is just a collection of scary, campfire stories I've collected over past experiences. Of-course, I didn't make them up. I just heard them from my friends. Here's the first one:
There was once an old lady who lived in a very lonely town. She shared her small house
with her dog; it would always sleep under her bed at night. Now, this old lady had a very
odd habit; every night, before she went to bed, she would place one hand under the bed
and let her dog lick it. Then she would fall asleep. On one particular night, after falling
asleep through the same procedure, the old lady was woken up by that steady drip drip
noise. It echoed all over her otherwise empty house. Getting up, she checked the
kitchen, but all the taps where closed, so she went back to bed. As usual, she put her
hand under the bed and her dog licked her. Later that night, she woke up again to the
same drip drip noise. This time, she got up and checked the laundry. No taps where
leaking there either. Frustrated, the old lady went back to bed and let her dog lick her.
But that wasn't the end of it; for the third time that night, the old lady woke up to the
dreaded drip drip noise. So this time, she checked the last possible place it could be
coming from; the bathroom. First, the old lady checked the sink and tub. All the taps
where secure. However, just as the old lady turned to leave she noticed something
strange. The shower door was closed, but she'd never closed it that evening. The drip
drip noise seemed to be coming from behind the shower. With trembling hands, the old
lady slid open the door. There, nailed to the shower wall as her dog. His blood made a
steady drip drip noise as it hit the floor. But, if her dog has been dead all this time, then
who was licking her hand?
And the second . . . .
There was once a man who, after is trip interstate took longer than expected, decided to
spend the night a shaggy looking motel. When he asked manager for a spare room, she
answered that the only one they had left was a two-roomed apartment; and the door to
the second room was bolted. Left without much of a choice, the man chose to take the
room anyway. He went to bed relatively early. That night, the man was awoken by what
seemed to be music floating in from the next room. Of-course he was surprised, as the
room should be empty. So in curiosity, he peeped through the large keyhole of the door.
There in the second room, he saw a ballerina dancing to the music. Thinking that the
manager must have forgotten she rented out the room, the man went back to bed.
However, nearly two hours later the music still hadn't stopped. Unable to sleep, the man
went over and tapped on the door, hopping to get a small talk with the girl. The music
stopped immediately. Rather taken aback by the suddenness, the man peeped through
the key whole again. However, this time he saw nothing but red. The baffled man
decided that the girl must have noticed him and covered up the key whole to stop him
spying. Feeling a little embarrassed, he went back to bed and slept the rest of the night.
Next morning, the man went to ask the manager about that ballerina next door. But the
manager was more surprised than he was. "Why, no one's stayed in that room for
years!" she cried. The last person who lived there died a long time ago. She was my
daughter." After saying this, the manager handed the man a picture of her child. There on
the photo was the exact girl the man saw last night, dressed from head to toe in a
ballerina costume. Strange thing was; one of her eyes was completely red . . ..
Okay, that's all for now. I might post some more later, chow!
