Chapter : 13
Atem sat in the living room sipping a beer. He stared at the tv and thought back to how everything started. It had been so easy to turn Yugi's friends against him by bringing out their shadow selves.
/ Flashback /
Atem walked in to the kitchen and over to Joey. Joey looked up at him and nodded in greeting.
"Hi , Atem ," he said.
Atem grabbed him by the front of his shirt and put his hand on his forehead. The Millennium Symbol appeared on Atem's head. He closed his eyes and smiled a cruel smile. Joey's eyes went blank and he closed them. Atem let him go and Joey opened his eyes.
He smiled at Atem. Tea walked up to them.
"Hey ," she said.
Atem grabbed her and put his hand on her forehead. The Millennium Symbol appeared on Atem's head once again and he closed his eyes. Tea's eyes went blank and she closed them. He let her go and she opened her eyes and smiled a cruel smile.
"Let's go hangout in my room ," Atem stated.
"Cool ," Tea said.
They walked in to Atem's room and shut the door.
"Wanna play Duel Monsters ? ," Joey asked.
"Fuck yes ," Atem said.
They started to play. Yugi walked up to the Game Shop and opened the door.
"I'm home ," he said.
He shut the door behind him and walked in to the living room. "Guys ? Are you home ?" Yugi listened and heard talking from upstairs. He smiled and walked up to his room. He opened the door and saw them playing Duel Monsters. "Hi , guys. Whatcha doing ?" They ignored him and kept playing.
"I lay one card face down ," Atem said.
"Atem ? ," Yugi asked , "Can I play ?"
Joey drew a card.
"I play Flame Swordsman in attack mode ! ," Joey said.
"Joey ? ," he asked , "Excuse me ? Can I play ?"
He ignored Yugi. Yugi looked at Tea. "Tea ? Can you hear me ?" Tea continued to ignore him. Yugi sighed and walked away. Atem looked back at saw the sadness in Yugi as he walked away. He smiled. Perfect.
/ End Flashback /
Atem set his beer bottle down and got to his feet. He walked in to the kitchen and opened the fridge. He saw three bottles sitting in the fridge. He sighed , shut the door and walked back in to the living room. He sat down.
"YUGI , GET YOUR FUCKING ASS DOWN HERE ! ," Atem shouted.
Yugi looked up.
"TEA TOLD ME TO STAY IN MY ROOM ! ," he shouted back.
"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ! GET DOWN HERE !"
He got up and walked downstairs and entered the living room. Atem looked up at him. "Hey , Yugi. Make me a sandwich." Yugi stared at him.
"What ? ," Yugi asked.
"What are you deaf ? I said make me a sandwich , asshole ," Atem snarled.
Yugi walked in to the kitchen and grabbed the bread. He pulled out two slices and laid them down on the counter. He went over to the fridge and pulled out the jelly. Yugi set the jar on the counter and opened it. He got a knife from the drawer and stuck it in to the jar. He pulled out some of the jelly and spread it on one of the bread slices. Then he walked over to the cabinet and grabbed the peanut butter. He opened the jar and stuck the knife in it. He pulled out some of the peanut butter and spread it on the other slice. He put the slices together and put it on a plate. Yugi carried the plate out to Atem.
Atem smiled and took the plate. Yugi started to walk off. "Wait." Yugi stopped. Atem took a bite while keeping his eyes on Yugi the whole time. He chewed the piece of bread slowly and swallowed it. "Where's the milk ?"
"What ? ," he asked.
"If I'm having a sandwich I'll need some milk to wash it down , won't I ? ," Atem asked.
"But you didn't say you wanted milk ," Yugi replied , "You said -
"YUGI , JUST GET ME SOME FUCKING MILK ! ," he shouted.
Yugi jumped up in fear and ran to the kitchen. He opened the fridge and grabbed the milk jug. He opened a cabinet and pulled out a glass. Yugi opened the jug and poured the milk in to the glass. "HURRY UP !" Yugi jumped up in fright and dropped the jug causing it to spill everywhere on the floor.
"WHAT THE FUCK , YUGI ?!"
He turned around and saw Tea standing in the doorway glaring at him. She looked down at the mess. "CLEAN IT UP !" Yugi grabbed a towel and started to clean up the mess.
"WHERE THE FUCK IS THE MILK ?! ," Atem shouted.
"YUGI FUCKING SPILLED IT ! ," Tea shouted back.
"WHAT THE FUCK ?!"
Atem walked in to the kitchen. He looked down at Yugi. "YUGI , WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING ON THE FLOOR ?!" Atem walked over to him and grabbed the back of Yugi's head. He slammed his face down in the milk. "DO YOU SEE THIS FUCKING MESS ?! HOW THE FUCK DID THIS HAPPEN ?!"
"FUCK ! IT WAS AN ACCIDENT ! ," Yugi shouted.
"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME ?! ," he shouted.
Atem slammed his head in to the floor again.
"FUCK YOU , ATEM !"
Yugi tried to get out of his grasp. Atem slammed his head in to the floor harder.
"KNOCK IT OFF ! ," Atem shouted.
"GET OFF OF ME !"
Atem slammed his head in to the floor again.
"CALM THE FUCK DOWN FIRST , COCKSUCKER ! ," he shouted.
Yugi closed his eyes and calmed down. Atem let him go. Yugi got to his feet and continued to clean up the milk. "You suck."
Atem stormed off and Tea watched Yugi.
"Look at the baby cleaning up his milk ," she said.
Yugi ignored Tea and finished cleaning up the milk. He got up and started to take the towel to the sink. "Yugi ?" He turned and looked at her. Tea took the towel and held it over his head. She squeezed it and the milk drenched Yugi's head. "There's your milk , you little baby." Yugi growled and ran at Tea. He wrapped his hands around her throat and started to squeeze.
Tea grabbed his arms and kicked him in the balls. "YOU LITTLE COCKSUCKER !" Yugi fell to his knees and Tea kicked him in the face. He fell back and she grabbed him by the shirt. She lifted him up. "SAY YOU'RE SORRY !" He glared at her. Yugi lifted his hand up and slapped her across the face. "YOU MOTHER FUCKER !" Tea punched him in the stomach and then threw him in to the wall. She kicked Yugi in the ribs and stomped on his face. "FUCK YOU !"
"Alright , Tea ," Atem said , "That's enough."
She stopped and glared at Atem.
"What did you say , Atem ? ," she asked.
"If you don't stop you're going to kill him ," he said , "Take it easy."
"You're right ," she said , "I'm sorry."
Tea grabbed Yugi and dragged him to her room. She threw him on the bed and chained him down to it. "STAY IN THERE THE REST OF THE DAY , MOTHERFUCKER ! GOD , I HATE YOU !" She spit on Yugi's head and punched him in the crotch. Yugi winced in pain.
Tea stormed out of the room and slammed the door behind her. Yugi heard her lock the door on the outside and then stomp off. He looked up at the ceiling.
"Someone help me please ," Yugi said. He cried.
