Two Hedgehogs and a Fox: An Ageplay Story

The Discovery

Sonic ran down the Sapphire Sea coastline, on the dirt path separating the beach from the Green Forest, towards the southern plateau where the workshop of his best friend Tails sat. A cool, early October breeze blew over the area as the late afternoon sun cast long shadows from the treeline to his right, and he was hoping to be home before dinner got cold. Amy had borrowed a screwdriver several days ago, and she kept on forgetting to return it. Finally, she got fed up with herself and asked Sonic to run it over to him quickly, knowing that her longtime boyfriend didn't need much of an excuse to go for a run.

After ascending the zigzagging path up to the top of the plateau, he skidded to a halt in front of the large hangar doors. They were open just far enough for the hedgehog to squeeze through into the building proper.

"Hey Tails, anybody home?" Sonic asked, gazing around the workshop. Nearly the entire ground floor was taken up by Tails' plane, the Tornado, with workbenches and spare parts surrounding it on all sides.

What Sonic found odd, was that all of the lights on the ground floor were turned off, and the only light source was from the rays of the setting sun coming in from the windows just below the ceiling.

He never knew Tails to retired this early in the evening. Walking to the workbench in the back, he looked up the single flight of stairs. The back of the building hosted a small second floor, where Tails' living quarters were. It was all he needed, as he was almost always down here on the ground floor.

"Might as well see how he's doing." Sonic said, setting the screwdriver down on the workbench, close to where the others were hanging on the wall, before jogging up the stairs, and went down the short hall, walked past the small kitchenette, and knocked on the fox's closed bedroom door.

"Hey buddy, you home?"

What he got in response was a muffled, startled scream from the other side of the door, followed by the sound of items clattering to the floor. Worrying that his best friend got hurt, he grabbed the doorknob and turned, finding it unlocked. He pushed it open, and began to take a step into the fox's bedroom.

"Hey are you alrigh—"

Sonic paused in his sentence when he saw what was before him.

Bent over in front of his nightstand was Tails, in the middle of picking up the books that had fallen to the floor. He looked back at the opening door and the hedgehog with wide, fearful eyes. Sonic's eyes met Tails' for only a moment, as his gaze was almost immediately drawn to the red pacifier in his mouth, and the fluffy white disposable diaper wrapped around his legs, prominently displayed while he was bent over picking up books.

"Tails...?"

The fox's eyes became pinpricks as he met his best friend's gaze, and tears quickly built up in his eyelids.

"Sonic...! I... This isn't... I..."

The rest of the words never came to him, and the pacifier fell from his mouth as he collapsed into a sitting position. The fox brought his legs up, and buried his head in his knees as he began to cry, wrapping his tails around himself.

"Hey, hey. What's wrong pal?" Sonic asked, taking a few more steps into his room.

Tails didn't reply, continuing to cry into his legs. Sonic walked up and knelt next to him. He put his hand on his back and began to rub gently.

"Hey buddy. It's alright." Sonic dropped to his other knee, and gently embraced the distraught fox.

"Just... Just say it. You think I'm a freak..." Tails wept.

Sonic's heart ached at his friend's words.

"No. No, Tails, I don't."

Sonic released him from the hug and came back around to his front.

"Hey. Tails, look at me." Sonic told him, putting his hands on the fox's knees, and as Tails raised his head, Sonic gently placed a hand on his chin to make sure their eyes met. "Is that what you think of yourself, pal? You're wrong. You're not a freak. Do you understand me? You think you're the only one like this? You don't think Amy and I don't get a little freaky and kinky every now and then?" Sonic asked him.

Tails sniffled, and tried to blink some of his tears away.

Sonic looked down at the pacifier that he had dropped from his mouth moments earlier, and reached down to pick it up. Holding it by the ring, he brought it up, and gently pressed it against the fox's lips.

"You don't think you look pretty darn cute right now?" The hedgehog asked.

Tails sniffled again and parted his lips just enough to accept the rubber nipple, the corners of his lips on either side of the plastic guard giving the slightest smile.

Sonic got to his feet, and pulled his friend up to his as well, diaper crinkling the whole way, then pulled him into another hug.

"I'm sorry I walked into something you didn't want me to see." Sonic said, rubbing his back again, as his best fried continued to calm down.

"It's alright, Sonic. I forgot you were bwinging back my scoodwiver." Tails said, his speech slurred by the pacifier in between his teeth.

"You sound so cute." The hedgehog replied, getting a soft giggle out of the fox. Sonic parted from the hug and put his hands on Tails' shoulders.

"Tails, how old are you now? Twelve, right? Almost thirteen?" Sonic asked, and Tails nodded. "That's considered an adult in all the mobian societies I've heard of, but if you want to take a little time every now and then to not be one, well, I say so be it. I understand why you want to keep this to yourself, behind closed doors, but I don't ever want you to think that me or Amy will ever consider you a freak for being yourself, alright?"

The fox nodded at him, and Sonic ruffled the fur on his head., and took a moment to look down at the plain white disposable garment that he had ever only seen on infant mobians before.

"So... Do you use them?" Sonic asked, immediately getting a fierce blush out of his friend. "Sorry, I was just curious. With the pacifier, I imagine you enjoy acting like a baby." Sonic commented as Tails removed the infantile object from his mouth.

"Yeah, I use them occasionally, when I have a bunch of spare time to play. When it comes to acting like a baby... Yeah, I do what I can."

Sonic smiled at him.

"Well, I put your screwdriver down on the back workbench close to the others, buddy. So, before I go, do you need a change?" Sonic asked, and Tails' eyes widened and his blush deepened.

"N-No. I'm dry, but thanks..." Tails replied, fidgeting with his fingers.

Sonic pulled him into a final reassuring hug, which he returned.

"Again, I'm sorry about barging in, Tails."

"It's okay. Now that you know, don't worry about accidentally doing it again."

Sonic parted from the hug.

"Alright, I'll get out of your fur. Have fun, buddy."

With that, Sonic turned around, and stepped back out into the hallway, softly closing the door behind him. Going down the stairs and out of the double hangar doors on the ground floor, before zooming off back down the coastline. He was back at Amy's house in a matter of minutes, where she and him had been living together for a number of months now. After wiping his feet on the front mat, he stepped through the front door and was immediately greeted with the inviting smell of a hot meal being prepared, and walked into the kitchen to see Amy at the stove stirring a pot of stew.

"Hey there, that didn't take long. How's Tails?" Amy asked when she saw her boyfriend come in.

"He's doing pretty good. Say, Ames, remember that conversation we had a few months ago?" Sonic asked.

"We've had a lot of conversations, hun." The pink hedgehog replied.

"Well, you know, the one where we wished we could practice taking care of a baby before actually having one...?"

A/N: Alright, if you're not at all familiar with my work on MLP for the past decade, let me tell you that almost all of the time, my work is very much narrative-driven. But, every now and then, I get it in my head to do something that is absolutely one hundred percent fetish fuel.

I have now decided to do that with a Sonic story.

You have been appropriately warned.
