Flash Earth Reborn
Barry Allen wakes on Earth Prime after the battle at the dawn of time to find that there are major changes in this universe from the previous one. The biggest being that not only is it 2012 but he is married to not Iris but someone else.
While inspired by stories by Lauriverfanboy1 this is my own work.
Part 1
Barry woke surprised to find himself in the Star labs medical bay. A quick glance told him that it was not the way he remembered it. In fact it looked a lot like it did when he woke up from his coma a little over six years ago.
"You and the other paragons were successful Barry Allen."
Barry turned to the sound of the voice.
"I saw you die." Said Barry
Novu chuckled.
"Very true. But I was reborn with this new universe. You and the other paragons have replaced your counterparts on this earth. Well with the exception of Lex Luthor. I already erased his memory of who all the heroes are. His knowing your identities would cause nothing but trouble for all of you. You should know that you will find many differences in your life. First you should know that it is 2012 and the day Oliver Queen returns home. Yes he is alive. Second the particle accelerator has already exploded and you have been in your nine month coma. Your speed will be at the level it was when the former universe ended."
"That is great. Um the thing is I know nothing about my life here."
"That I can take care of."
Novu waved his hand in seconds Barry was hit with new memories that he would need to sort through.
"I have already visited J'onn J'onzz he will be by to restore the memories of your allies. But for now so not to raise the suspension of Eobard Thawne who has like in the old universe taken over the life of Harrison Wells. You need to return to your coma until your friends wake you."
Barry nodded laid back down only noticing then the white gold wedding ring on his left hand. He was married! Now he just had to dig through his new memories to find out to who.
Caitlin rubbed her head after J'onn did his brain dump.
"Was the headache really necessary J'onn?" asked Caitlin
"I am sorry. But it was important for you to remember what happened. Barry and the rest of the paragons do. Well not Lex Luthor who stole a page from the book of destiny to make himself a paragon. I need you to tell me who from your team I should restore memories of." Said J'onn
"Well Cisco of course. Joe West who is here in Central City. Wally West who is in Keystone with his mother as is Eddie Thawne. Cecile Horton, she is the district attorney right now. Oh and Police Captain David Singh. I don't know where to find anyone else who has been on the team. Oh wait. My twin sister Charlene, well she goes by Charlie. You would know her better as Frost. Seems on this Earth we never shared a body. But were born twins."
"I will get on it. You might want to go wake Barry. What about Iris?"
"Yeah Barry and I are going to have to talk. Seems that we are married on this Earth. Not him and Iris. So I think it best to wait to restore her memory."
"If it helps I do know that he is attracted to you and you maybe right."
"It does help."
Caitlin walked into the med lab to find Barry still laying on the bed he had been for nine months.
"Barry, I don't know if you are awake or not. But I want you to know I remember how things use to be. I remember how you were with Iris. If that is what you want then I will let you go. But you should know that I do and have been in love with you for a long time." Said Caitlin
Just then Barry opened his eyes and smiled at her.
"Well I don't want to let you go Cait. Besides if your sister Charlie is who I think she is she might shove an icicle into me." Said Barry
"So you know that we are married on this Earth."
"Yeah. Novu gave me a brain dump of the changes. Besides looking back I think that if Iris was given the chance to be with Eddie again she would have left me in a heartbeat."
"Then I guess it is a good thing I told J'onn to find Eddie in Keystone and restore his memory. But not Iris until we talked. I also told him to find Wally."
"I think we need to get out of here so Thawne doesn't over hear us."
"I am betting that he has our apartment bugged as well as the West house and Cisco's place. But I think I know where we can meet. The bar Charlie owns much to my mother's displeasure."
"She won't mind?"
"Nope she has a back room we can use at The Ice Palace."
"I would think she would be an artist."
"She is but she still has to pay bills. So the bar is to pay the bills and she tries to sell her art at art fairs."
"Let's go call everyone to meet there."
Barry grabbed the shirt that Caitlin gave him and put on his shoes while Caitlin started to make calls. An hour later the group gathered in the backroom of Charlie Snow's bar.
"Can I say that it is really freaky that Caitlin and Frost have their own bodies." Said Cisco
"Yeah well this is new to me. I was dead when you all found out about the Elsa version of Caitlin." Said Eddie
"Never call me Elsa blondie or it won't be your death that will erase your descendants from existence. It will be the fact I froze your man parts off." Said Frost
"Charlie, be nice. You no longer have a criminal record so don't start one now by assaulting a police officer." Said Caitlin
"Fine." Mumbled Frost
"So what are we going to do about Thawne?" asked Cisco
"I am going to talk to Kara and Clark. See if they will agree to let us use their Phantom Zone projector." Said Barry
"What is a phantom zone projector?" asked Joe
"It is a device from Krypton that was sent with Kara and Clark. It was used to send the worst criminals from Krypton to what is referred to as the Phantom Zone. A region of space that exists outside of time. Kara ended up there for a while when her pod didn't escape the blast radius when Krypton blew up. It is nearly impossible to escape from there." Said Barry
"So if Savitar comes back you want to send him there instead of making a prison in the speed force?" asked Wally
"I don't plan to create Flashpoint. So there hopefully will be no Savitar." Said Barry
"Yeah even if he does do something that stupid I won't be joining him. Seeing as I actually have a life that I like." Said Frost
"Well that is good news." Said Barry
"While I do think you are cute Flash. Even an evil you isn't my type. Besides it would be lame if I dated my sister's husband's double."
"Charlie, just find someone that makes you happy. Just hopefully not a criminal." Said Caitlin
"Don't worry I plan to stay the hell away from Amunet and her cronies."
"Well Norvock wasn't all bad." Said Caitlin
"He don't work for Amunet in this reality. He is my bouncer."
"That is different. Does he still have that snake thing behind his eye?" asked Cecile
"Do I really want to know how you found out about this guy?" asked Eddie
"He crashed Iris's bachelorette party. Caitlin/Frost worked for this meta crime boss that had a black market for like six months. Norvock was one of her enforcers. They quit and Amunet was not happy about it." Said Cisco
"That reminds me. We need to shut Amunet down if she is in business here." Said Barry
"I know someone that I can have look into it." Said Charlie
"You know a criminal?" asked Cecile
"Yep someone we all knew. Well not you Eddie or Wally. Allegra."
"That's right! You are her mentor. She is still in touch with her cousin that got her arrested?" asked Caitlin
"A little. But she hasn't broken any law in nearly a year. She will graduate high school this year. Trying to get her to apply to CCU for journalism."
"Maybe if we give her a brain dump she will go for it." Said Cecile
"Rather not have to make J'onn reveal his identity to anyone else." Said Barry
"I talked to him. I think I might be able to make something to replicate his memory powers." Said Cisco
"First we need suits. Me, Frost and you. You have your powers right?" said Barry
"Of course. I am going to keep them too." Said Cisco
"Well then welcome back Vibe." Said Caitlin
"You know Cait. You are going to need a codename to use on coms." Said Barry
"Damn he is right! We need to come up with something good. Well Felicity if she rejoins team Arrow is going to use Overwatch." Said Cisco
"Oracle is taken. Someone that works with Batman." Said Caitlin
"How about Sandy?" asked Barry
"Barry we agreed never to talk about that ever!" said Caitlin
"We are missing something right?" asked Wally
"Yes. It has to be from the old universe cause I can't think of anything that is from this one." Said Joe
"It is from the old universe and Barry promised that we would never speak of that night again." Said Caitlin
"So that is a no to Sandy?" asked Barry
"Keep that up and you will spend the next week on the couch." Said Caitlin
"And people say I am the one with a anger management problem." Said Charlie
"Charlene, I do not have an anger management problem. Besides you were the one that got suspended in third grade for punching and shoving Lexie LaRoche's head in a toilet." Said Caitlin
"She should be glad that I didn't have my powers back then. I would have frozen her fingers off for what she did to you."
"Yeah uh I need to get back to the station to see how Singh is handing all of this." Said Joe
"I should get back too. I have a few things to take care of before I can leave the DA's office so set up my metahuman law office." Said Cecile
Everyone headed out leaving Barry alone with his wife and sister in law.
"I need to get ready to open. So I will leave you two to talk. Besides Caity isn't there someone else that should know that Barry is awake?" said Charlie
"Oh god I forgot to tell J'onn about him!" said Caitlin
"Good thing I did. Later dorks. Oh by the way Flash, you still owe me a white water rafting trip."
Barry watched as Charlie walked out of the room with a raised eyebrow.
"She is still the same." Said Barry
"Yeah but I love her."
"So who is she talking about?"
Caitlin broke into a big smile.
"Your dad. Barry, he isn't in prison. Evidence turned up five years ago the cleared him."
"My dad is free."
"This time we will make sure he doesn't die. Let's go see him."
Barry nodded then pulled Caitlin close and kissed her. She returned it eagerly. They broke when they heard a loud knock on the door.
"You do know that is not a sex room! Go home if you want to jump my sister's bones Flash!" yelled Charlie
Caitlin laughed when Barry turned as red as his suit.
"You know she actually walked in on us once before we married. She and I shared an apartment at the time." Said Caitlin
"I really need to work through these new memories more."
"We all do. Barry, we really should go see your dad. By the way he loves me and would be really disappointed if we don't make this work."
"So I take it you would still be around if we divorced?"
"Yes. I help out at his clinic when I am not at Star Labs or taking care of you."
"What evidence turned up?"
"Tell you at home later. Let's go see dad."
Barry nodded and they headed out to Caitlin's car.
