Chapter 61
Sansa Stark POV
Today Jon, Margaery and I going to the Winterfell graduation at a nearby event center. We want to go support our friends, and Jon obviously wants to see Daenerys. We're going to a party at Daenerys' house tonight.
We arrive and take our seats at the graduation, and I can tell Jon is nervous.
"How're you doing?" I ask him. "You look stressed."
"I don't want Dany to forget about me," he says. "She'll be off doing her volunteer work when summer starts, and I'll still be in high school when she's not. I'm worried she'll think I'm too immature or too far behind her."
I pause. I understand why he feels that way, but I can tell Dany is super into him. "Jon," I say. "Dany is so into you. She talks about you all the time, she lights up when you text her, you guys will be fine. I promise she isn't going anywhere." He smiles at that, but I really mean what I say. She won't say this exactly, but I can tell Danaerys is in love with my brother.
The graduation starts and we watch the introductions and speeches before everyone walks across the stage. I thought Daenerys might be Valedictorian, I just assumed. She's not, though. Whatever, she's still perfect. I see Cersei walk across the stage, and then Jaime. Cersei has short hair now, which really threw me off. She told us she just needed a change, but she's always been obsessed with her appearance and looking good. She definitely looks better with long hair.
They call Daenerys' name, and she walks across the stage clearly getting the largest amount of cheers. She looks happy, I wonder what high school will be like without her. She literally ran this place, and now it's Margaery's turn. Those are huge shoes to fill, I don't know how she'll do it without folding to the pressure.
Jon is cheering so loud for Daenerys. I really want things to work out between them, they seem really into each other. It makes me happy that they're together, he's probably the first person who doesn't want her just for her status or her looks. She deserves that, they both deserve to be happy together.
Jon Snow Stark POV
Sansa, Margaery and I are waiting outside the stadium for Daenerys to walk out. I'm so proud of her, even though we haven't been together long. I just feel like our chemistry is great and we click amazingly together. She comes out of the stadium, smiling and laughing with Cersei and Jaime. She walks over and gives me a hug and a kiss.
"Congratulations my queen," I whisper in her ear. "You're officially an adult now." She just keeps kissing me.
"Ew!" Sansa says jokingly. "Get a room!" Margaery laughs at her.
"Do you want to come over and help me get ready for the party?" Daenerys asks me.
"Of course," I respond. A man walks up to us as we're talking and stops.
"Dad, this is my boyfriend, Jon," Daenerys says. "He's about to be a senior." I had no idea I was meeting Dany's dad today.
"Nice to meet you," I say, shaking his hand. "I'm so glad you could come today." He just nods and smiles. He hands me his phone without saying anything and poses with Daenerys. I take a picture of them.
"I have to go back to your aunt's house, Dany," he says, giving her a hug. "But I'm so proud of you."
I can see her tearing up. "Thank you dad," she says. "It means a lot to me that you came." He smiles at me and walks away. We take a few pictures with the other seniors and our friends before heading back to the car.
"Are you okay?" I say as we walk to the car with Sansa and Margaery walking behind us.
"Yeah," Dany replies. "That was just the first time he came to an event of mine in years. He hates crowds, I wasn't sure he'd be able to come."
"I'm happy he did," I say. "I'm glad I got to meet him."
"Me too. I can tell he likes you."
"Really? He didn't say much."
"I know, but he let you take a picture of us and he smiled at you. That's a big indicator for me." We get to the car and head back to her house.
Daenerys Targaryen POV
It means a lot to me that Jon was at graduation, and that he got to meet my dad. I really feel like my dad is doing better and this will be a good time for him to move back, but I still want to stay with him for a while to make sure.
We get back to my house so we can start setting up. The others will join us in a couple hours to get the party started. I made sure to get stocked up on liquor yesterday, and Cersei and Jaime are bringing weed. I think some of the other jocks might bring acid, but I'm really not down to do any. Ramsay better not show his face here, but it wouldn't shock me if he crashed the party.
Cersei and Jaime show up a little early with Tyrion and Shae. "Hi," I say as they walk in. "Oh hi, Tyrion. Hi Shae. I didn't know you guys were coming."
"I made Jaime bring me," Tyrion says jokingly. Jaime just rolls his eyes and Cersei looks pissed off like she always does when Tyrion simply exists around her.
"Do you need any help setting up?" Shae asks me. She has an accent that I've never been able to place. She was known to sleep around at Winterfell before she started going out with Tyrion, but she seems really sweet and it seems like she really loves him.
"No, I'm okay," I respond. "Thank you, though." She honestly seems really shy, I've never heard her say much.
As the party is getting started, Cersei is drinking more than I've ever seen her drink in my life. I wonder if I should stop her, but I know she probably needs to let off steam.
"Hey, are you okay?" I say, walking up to her.
"I'm fine!" She yells very drunkenly.
"I don't think you are," I respond. "Lets get you into a room so you can relax." She starts protesting but eventually follows me into one of our study rooms with a couch. The moment we get into the room she sits on the couch and starts crying.
"What is it?" I ask her.
"I miss my hair," she says while crying. "I was so beautiful with long hair."
"You were, but you still are. It'll grow back."
She starts crying again. "I want my baby," she says. "I want my hair." I feel terrible for her, so I just give her a hug. I hear something shatter outside the room.
"Shit," I say. "Are you going to be okay?"
Cersei nods. "I just want to lay down."
"Okay. I'll check on you in a little bit, feel free to lock the door." I kiss her head and walk out to the living room. I've had to take care of Cersei while she's drunk before, but this is the worst I've ever seen her. Part of me wishes I could start college with her, but at least she'll have Jaime.
Tyrion Lannister POV
Shae and I are fooling around in one of the many bedrooms in Daenerys' house. I love Shae so much. My father and sister might hate me, they might keep me a homeschooled recluse so I don't embarass them by existing, but I'll always have Shae. She's never treated me like I was small, or different at all. My father likes her a lot too, so he can't even argue with me when she comes around.
"I love you," I say as we're making out. "So much." She just smiles and kisses me back.
"You are my lion, you know?" She says. I love when she calls me that. "How did you get to be so good at all this stuff?"
"I never told you about my first time, did I?" She just shakes her head.
"I was 14," I continue. "I was walking by some shops with Jaime when we saw a girl crying on a bench. He encouraged me to go comfort her. She told me her ex-boyfriend had just beat her up, so I offered to stay with her until she could find a ride. Jaime ended up driving us back to our place and she and I had sex. I really thought I was in love with her, even after just a few hours. I later found out Jaime paid her to be out there crying. He wanted me to get laid."
There's a long pause. "Damn," Shae says. "You should have known she wasn't genuine."
"Why?"
"What girl sleeps with a man just hours after being beat up like that?"
I pause, looking at her. I suppose she's right, but it still really hurt at the time. "I was 14," I say. "Obviously now I would act differently."
"I heard you hooked up with Ros last year."
"How do you know that?"
"She told me." Damn, of course she did.
"It was only once," I say. She just gives me a look. "Okay, twice."
"Well you're all mine, now."
"I know, and you better be all mine. I know you've been with other guys and it doesn't matter to me."
"Good," she starts kissing me. "It's just us." She kisses down my neck and we get back to business.
Jon Snow Stark POV
I'm standing where I can see the door, and I see Ramsay enter with Theon. Rage boils up inside me, and I immediately go to find Daenerys.
"Dany," I call out when I see her. She looks over at me. "Ramsay and Theon are here."
"Oh Hell no," Dany responds. "Not today." She follows me over to where Ramsay and Theon are. They're talking to people, and Ramsay is asking where Sansa is.
"What are you doing here?" Daenerys asks Ramsay. "I told you to never show your face here again."
"I just want to talk to Sansa," he says. "Alone."
"Absolutely not," Dany says. "Get the fuck out."
"Come on, quit being a bitch," Ramsay starts to say. I'm not having any of this.
"You heard what she said," I interject. "Get the fuck out or you won't have any eyes to see with."
There's a pause. "Come on Reek," he finally says. Theon just walks out behind him. I hope one day Theon can get out of Ramsay's clutches, we may not be friends anymore but he should still get away from such a despicable person.
"What's going on?" I hear Sansa say as she's walking over. "I heard you guys yelling."
"Ramsay showed up," I respond. "Don't worry, we kicked him out."
"Thank you," Sansa says.
"I think we should go," I say to her. "It's getting late."
"Why?" She responds. "It's only midnight."
"We should get some sleep," I say. Sansa finally just shrugs and nods. "I'll call you tomorrow," I say to Dany. She gives me a hug and a kiss and Sansa and I head out to the car.
Sansa Stark POV
My freshman year is finally over. I can't believe I got through it, this was one of the hardest years of my life. I got a boyfriend, lost my virginity, he turned out to be an asshole, and I lost some weight. At least one of those things is good.
Arya is relaxing in our room when I get home, she seems to be glad that she's done with 7th grade. I'm surprised she's awake, but we didn't stay out that late. "How was it?" She asks me.
"It was fun," I respond. "I wanted to stay, but Jon suggested we leave after Ramsay showed up and got kicked out."
"Are you okay?" She asks me.
"Yeah," I respond. "Jon and Dany took care of it."
"Are you glad the school year is over?"
"You have no idea. It was a really intense year for me. At least next year I won't be a freshman anymore."
"Sansa?"
"Yeah?"
"Promise you'll take me to parties when I'm in high school?"
That question takes me by surprise. "You keep saying you don't care about being popular," I say. "But you want me to take you to parties?"
"I want to know what it's like," she responds. "I want to experience as much as I can." That sounds more like Arya.
"Or do you just want to get near Gendry?" I ask.
"Shut up," she says, laughing. "More than anything, I want to experience everything I can in life."
"I promise I'll take you to parties. Wherever I go, you can come too." Arya smiles at me.
"Although," she says after a pause. "I do want to talk to Gendry more. He's really cool, I would think that even if I didn't think he was cute."
"Sure," I say. "It's cute Arya." She rolls her eyes. I don't think she wants to be seen as cute.
Now that this year is over, I want to focus on losing weight this summer and having fun with my friends. Guys are on the backburner, at least for now. I'm terrified of having sex or even dating again after Ramsay, so this summer will be about me. We're supposed to go to the beach as a family in late June, so that'll be a great way to take my mind off things. I can't wait to finally move on from everything that happened this year.
A/N: And that's the end of part 1! Thanks so much for your feedback, everyone. I'll be back soon with part 2, but I need to outline it and write the first few chapters first. See you all soon! :)
