Remus & Sirius' super special HAPPY NEW YEAR special

Remus .J. Lupin sat at his usual spot in the oversized armchair by the Gyffindor fireplace.
It was getting to hot where he sat but he didn't mind (it was a away from the noise of New Years anyway).
In truth he loved the heat something Sirius always complained about.
He remembered once he had told Sirius that if his didn't like it there were loads of places to sit in the common room.
For the following week Sirius refused to talk to Remus under charges of being completely insensitive and nearly drove James mad by playing telephone.
Remus was brought quickly back to present by a lap full of Sirius.
Sirius smiled "Hello Mr. Lupin two minutes till New Year".
Remus looked unimpressed "Oh come don't act like that New Year is great"
Remus didn't say anything wondering vaguely why Sirius was still on him.
"One more minute" Sirius smirked at Remus could tell by living with him for what five (no in one minute six) years Sirius was planning something not that it matter.
Sirius smile widen counting down with everyone else in the common room "Three…Two…One Happ—".
Remus grabbed the back of Sirius' dark head pulling into a short but heated kiss. Sirius' blue eyes went round as he drew back to see a smirking Remus .J. Lupin.
"Happy New Year Sirius" Sirius just stared "you stole my line and excuse".
Remus laughed "Well maybe next year Sirius".
