Yo! This is the fourth part of Naruto Uzumaki: Ninja of the Spiral and I just want to say thanks for the support so far. I've realized this has reached alot of people and I'm going to start being consistent with this.

Chapter 4: Enter the Spiral

Naruto entered his class early the only other persons being Sasuke, Shikamaru and Choji.

He was walked up to his friends and sat on the right side of their bench and began talking with them not noticing Sasuke approaching.

Naruto turned to face Sasuke finally noticing his presence.

"Hm? What is it Sasuke?" Naruto asked already knowing the topic. Sasuke had never bothered to communicate or even look at Naruto except at the first day of the academy.

"How did you do those jutsu so fast." Sasuke narrowed his eyes.

"Say please." Naruto smirked at Sasuke playing with him.

Sasuke visually tensed sending the signs that he was going to try to attack. He relaxed and said "Please." Taking in a breath.

Naruto laughed and explained. "Once you know a jutsu you can memorize the hand signs, right? You need to form the signs properly for the jutsu to work however..

The more you do this the less amount of hand signs you require eventually until the point where you don't need hand signs at all. About my speed. I spent hours practicing every hand sign increasingly getting faster after each wave.

Try that." Naruto ended turning back to Shikamaru and Choji and a few other students who had entered while Naruto talked to Sasuke listening to what he was saying.

After a while of waiting Ino and Sakura appeared rushing through the door trying to push each other away.

They were currently racing to see who would get to sit next to Sasuke today.

The results were in as Sakura was pushed out the desk by Ino.

"Looks like i win Billboard brow!" Ino gloated her position next to Sasuke.

"You just got lucky, Ino-pig!" Sakura shouted.

She walked down as she noticed Naruto chatting with Shikamaru and Choji.

"And you! You made Sasuke-kun get disqualified yesterday!" Sakura said about to give Naruto a punch.

Naruto winced and quickly substituted himself with a log without any hand signs.

"There's your demonstration Sasuke." Naruto said sitting in his regular seat next to Hinata.

Iruka entered a moment later and waited on Mizuki to start the class.

"Okay today, were learning about the body replacement jutsu or the substitution jutsu.

This jutsu allows you to replace yourself with almost anything. The hand signs are Dog, Boar and Ram in that order."

"So its like what Naruto did earlier?" Sakura asked.

"What do you mean? Naruto did the substitution jutsu?" Mizuki asked.

"You don't even know about it yet. How is he supposed to know it.." Mizuki thought.

"Fine if you can do it come up to the class and show us." Mizuki smirked sure he didnt know how to do it. He was sure Naruto would embarrass himself.

Naruto walked up to the front of the class.

"Someone throw a kunai at me." Mizuki did it without hesitation and struck Naruto.

Smoke engulfed Naruto as he was replaced with a log and appeared back at his seat.

The class applauded him with the exception of Mizuki and Iruka, Iruka being caught off guard by the lack of hand signs.

"Anyways. Yes that was the substitution jutsu. As you can see Naruto substituted himself with a log. Though you can also use other items such as books or rocks as an example. You can even use people."

The academy ended for the day and Naruto headed straight to the forest he trained at.

He sat down as if he was meditating.

"That day.." Naruto thought to himself.

"The Shibai-san mentioned I have a dojutsu." Naruto tried to recall the memories from years ago.

He channeled chakra into his eyes and slowly opened them.

a huge amount of wind surrounded Naruto and leaves flew all about.

Using his mastery over the water walking exercise and released a steady amount of it.

The leaves fell down as the winds calmed.

Naruto put his hand up to cover his right eye. He could see way better. And he could even see chakra networks.

Naruto's blood red scleras which didn't show his irises had returned with a continuous swirling line which eventually touched his pupil. (Much like the rinnegan but red and with a swirling like instead of rings).

"What.. is this..?" He asked himself getting up.

He felt a chakra nearby as stopped channeling chakra to his eyes due to his reflexes.

He didn't feel the chakra anymore. Naruto's only thought was they were skilled at chakra control.

Slowly walking up to the tree he hit it with a Rasengan.

"Dammit!" He cursed himself for not realizing sooner.

Naruto went home that evening concerned about his eyes and who saw him.

He showed up to the academy late the next day and looked extremely nervous.

He took his usual seat and looked as if he was calculating something. He looked like he was thinking into an mething deeper than Shikamaru would when he played shogi.

Hinata noticed this and inquired what was wrong.

"Oh nothing I'm just thinking of what ramen to eat today." He said as an excuse. But was clearly lying.

He was thinking of how to get the first lead on how to find who saw his dojutsu.

He got out of his thoughts when he saw Mizuki enter the room. Grinning wildly at him.

Naruto narrowed his eyes. He had to stay weary of Mizuki. For whatever he's planning or if it's that he knows Naruto's dojutsu.

Naruto had no leads for almost the rest of the academy. He had two months left and was feeling like he was never going to find out.

He left the academy that day disappointed in himself.

He has eventually asked the hokage to help him but none of them got nothing.

He sighed heading back to his apartment.

He had less than a month of the academy before he had the chance to graduate and he still didn't know who saw him that night.

He sighed it off and went to his usual training spot. He had memorized Mizuki's chakra signature Incase it was him to he would know if it was Mizuki that night.

But that was the least of Naruto's concern.

His graduation exams were in less than a month and he knew to do the substitution and transformation but not to do the simple clone jutsu. He couldn't do it because he sucked at genjutsu.

Therefore he spend the rest of the three weeks and 4 days he had left practicing the clone jutsu but it was in vain he could only hope it would come to him.

It was the day for the final graduation exam. and Naruto was really nervous.

The class had mostly passed the other two jutsu, the substitution and transformation jutsu.

But now it was time for the clone jutsu and Naruto was next.

The person infront of him did it correctly and Naruto tried his best to mimic the person.

He went in front of Iruka and took a breath in.

Being the last one in the line everyone was waiting on him to see if they passed or not.

He made the sign and gathered the chakra.

Smoke engulfed the area beside Naruto to reveal a pale clone on the ground. twitching occasionally.

"YOU FAIL!" Iruka shouted as the class burst out laughing.

"Come on Iruka. He made a clone. Let him pass" Mizuki reasoned.

"No. Everyone else did it properly. He's the only one

Naruto was sad. He really wanted to pass. And seeing all his friends pass didn't help.

He noticed Mizuki approaching him and he turned around.

"Naruto you really wanted to pass didn't you." Mizuki asked.

Naruto nodded his head slowly facing away from Mizuki.

"Well I have a secret to tell you... Every graduation there's a secret exam for those who don't pass.."

About half an hour later. There was an uproar at the Hokage tower.

"Hokage-sama the nine tails brat stole the forbidden scroll." A jonin spoke the obvious.

"Yes I am well aware and stop calling him that. Look, I want all of you to find Naruto and bring him back and the scroll Unharmed! Go!" The hokage ordered.

All Chunin, Jonin and Anbu there scouted the village looking for Naruto.

Iruka the closest person to finding Naruto scouted through one of the village's forests looking for said blonde.

Luckily enough he saw him.

Naruto was reading the forbidden scroll

that he had just stolen. Unknown to them. He was fully aware of what he just did.

He sensed Iruka and put down the scroll and Iruka began.

"Naruto! What the hell do you think you're doing!?" He shouted

"Oh, Iruka-sensei you're here. You're gonna let me pass after I do this jutsu right?"

"What are you talking about?" Iruka said.

"Mizuki-sensei sensei told me about this secret exam where if I get this scroll and learn one jutsu from it I can pass!" Naruto said.

"Mizuki said that..?" Iruka pondered.

"I see you found him before me, Iruka." A voice said revealing Mizuki who had just appeared.

He threw a giant fuma shuriken at Naruto which Iruka took for him.

"S-sensei!" Naruto shouted with concern.

"Mizuki, what is this!?" Iruka asked

"This is my chance to get power and you all fell for it!" Mizuki said. "Hand me the scroll Naruto."

"Naruto d-don't do it!" Iruka struggled to speak.

"Naruto. Have you ever wondered.. why this village hates you so?" spoke Mizuki.

Naruto amused. "He would actually break such a law?" was his only thought. But his face showed desperation.

"N-No! Mizuki! D-don't!" Iruka begged.

"The day you were born, October 10th the day marked as the Kyuubi attack. A law was made." He continued.

"Mizuki! Stop!" Iruka continued to beg.

"This law was made in order to stop us from.. Revealing YOU ARE THE KYUUBI'S VESSEL. Yes! You are the kyuubi, You killed Iruka's parents and he hates you for that! Now come and hand me that scroll and I'll give you all the power you could want."

The clearing was quiet.

"You're wrong." Naruto snarled out of nowhere.

He was tired of hearing demon, or fox wherever he went and he wish he was atleast deaf to any of it.

"What!?" Mizuki shouted.

"You're wrong I said!" Naruto shouted back and continued in a harsh tone.

"I am no demon fox." He looked up at Mizuki revealing the red spiralling eyes displaying.

Mizuki flinched. His eyes were just blue a second ago was he going crazy?

His thoughts were cut off when he started to lift off the ground spinning around in a counterclockwise rotation.

He screamed as he hit trees while continuing to spin.

He got hit in the head once and turned around to see Naruto.

"But Naruto was just on the ground, where did he come from?" he thought.

He felt another kick to his head. He turned around to see another Naruto.

"What the.."

"This is the clone jutsu! Wait no they're physical! Is that possible!?" Iruka pondered looking up at Naruto who was unleashing his wrath at Mizuki.

Iruka could feel the sheer power from his eyes.

The clones continued to hurt Mizuki adding 8 more making the total ten clones attacking Mizuki.

The wind spinning Mizuki stopped and the clones disappeared as the white haired chunin fell unconscious.

Naruto's eyes went back to normal as he looked at and tried to help Iruka.

"Are you okay Iruka sensei?" Inquired Naruto.

"Yeah but.. Could you always do that.?" Iruka asked.

"Well I just learnt the scroll thing but I knew how to do that tornado thing from like a month ago maybe."

"Oh..Well I'm glad you did know." Iruka smiled at Naruto.

Naruto smiled back as asked "Hey Iruka-sensei do you think you can keep this a secret."

"Sure. Also I have a surprise for you. Close your eyes."

Naruto did as told and noticed something was on his forehead.

"Okay open them!" Iruka said smiling at Naruto.

Naruto realized that Iruka's headband was gone and when he felt what was on his forehead. He couldn't help but grin.

"Thank you Iruka-sensei!" He thanked.

Iruka's smile widened when he saw Naruto admiring the headband.

A week passed by and The forbidden scroll was returned, Mizuki went to prison and Iruka had recovered.

Naruto was waiting for Iruka to arrive when Shikamaru approached him.

"Hey Naruto what are you doing here I thought you failed." He asked.

"I proved to Iruka sensei that I could do the clone jutsu!" He lied.

"Whatever." He said walking away.

Iruka appeared in the room via shunshin and began with a speech.

"Hello class, starting today you'll be going on you genin teams. "After today you'll have new sensei's and I'm proud that I taught you. I wish you an amazing ninja career. Now I'll tell you the team assignations.

team 1 to 6 are irrelevant (obviously)

Team seven consists of Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha." Naruto winced when he heard that he got put on a team with Sasuke. "Your jonin is Kakashi Hatake." He smiled hearing that his sensei was Kakashi.

"Team eight consists of Kiba Inuzuka, Hinata Hyuuga and Shino Aburame. Your jonin is Kurenai Yuhi."

When her name was called Naruto wished Hinata good luck which made her blush.

"Team 9 is still in commission.

Team ten consists of Choji Akimichi, Ino Yamanaka and Shikamaru Nara. Your jonin is Asuma Sarurobi."

"What a drag, I'm with the blonde." Shikamaru said earning a loud 'what did you say' from Ino.

"Again I'm proud to have taught you. Your jonins will enter when I leave." Iruka left via door and most jonin entered the room.

The latest jonin to get his team was Asuma Sarurobi which left Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke in the room alone.

And that's it. Ngl this was a pretty short chapter but I didn't know what to do with alot of this so well yeah there ya go. Please lay down suggestions you'd want to see. And no I'm not making a harem don't bother. So yeah thanks for reading and cya.
