Sandie: A New Start
Chapter 1
Two months after Sandie had said good-bye to Greg, she had settled down in New York. Elliot had loaned her enough money to buy a condo, clothes and food. She was settled for now and did everything she could to forget about Greg. James had convinced Lisa not to press charges and she reluctantly agreed. James had stayed in touch with Sandie but had not seen her since she left. Greg pretty much moped about and tried to keep his mind on his work. He still had some feelings for Sandie but he had to let her go, she was more trouble than he could handle.
Sandie pretty much hung out in her condo avoiding most people. Elliot would come by to check on her but she wasn't herself. Normally she would be all over him but they haven't even fooled around since she's been back. Sandie didn't tell him but she was seeing someone new, even though it's only been two short months since her and Greg split. Elliot somehow knew who it was she was seeing, it really was no secret. Her and Detective Zack Nichols had been seeing each other for a while. Elliot was jealous but he wanted Sandie to be happy and she seemed to be.
Zack was glad that Sandie was back in New York and that they were getting along pretty well. He was crazy about her and was glad that he had her all to himself. The only thing was that he was working so much that they didn't get to see each other as much as he liked and he was afraid that she might end up cheating on him, especially with Detective Stabler.
Sandie was trying to figure out her life and make a new start for herself. She had everything she needed here in New York and even though she didn't see Zack as much as she liked, not leaving the apartment helped her from cheating on him. Even when Elliot stopped by she had to restrain from sleeping with him. She wasn't in love with Zack but she cared about him, he did everything he could to help her forget about Greg. Deep down, she was still crazy about him but with time she would be over him for good.
Later that evening, there was a knock on Sandie's door and in walked Zack, he had his own key but was always polite enough to knock before entering. He spends most of his time with her at her place, sometimes even spending the night. They made love every chance they got and the sex was hot, perhaps it was because Sandie wasn't getting it from every guy she came across so there was more passion when it came to fucking Zack.
"Hey baby," Zack said as he entered the room. Sandie was sitting on the couch flipping through a magazine. She looked up and smiled.
Zack walked over and sat down next to her. He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her lips. She kissed him back and before too long they were both getting hot and bothered. Zack couldn't help himself, whenever he was around her he would get aroused. She made him crazy. Removing her shirt, he kissed her neck, making his way to her breasts. In turn, Sandie removed his shirt and trailed kisses down his body. It felt like someone had turned the heat way up between the two of them and Sandie couldn't remember a time when she felt the way she did with anyone else as she did now with Zack.
Clothes now off and thrown askew on the floor, Zack entered Sandie. She was hot, wet, and tight. She gasped when he entered her. They made passionate, wild love right there on the couch. Zack enjoyed the way she felt, her skin, her kisses, her body. She loved the way he felt, hard and yet protective at the same time. They both had extreme orgasms and then made their way to the shower where once again, they had explosive sex.
Several orgasms later, they both finally managed to get dressed and then they headed out to dinner. Zack took her to an expensive restaurant where he thought about proposing to her but thought better of it after everything she's been through with Greg. They enjoyed a nice meal before heading back to Sandie's condo where of course, they ended up making love the rest of the night.
Zack awoke the next morning bright and early. He realized he was running late for work and had to get back to his place to shower and change. Sandie was still asleep, he didn't want to wake her but she woke up long enough when he kissed her to say goodbye. He left and headed back to his place. Sandie got up shortly after, showered and dressed before heading out to do a bit of shopping. She was glad that Elliot had given her extra cash.
It was a nice day so Sandie decided to walk downtown. She wore a denim mini, a turquoise cami, and her trademark killer heels. She was actually in a good mood for a change and the nice weather somehow made her forget her past. That is until she came across a jewelry shop where she felt the urge to swipe an expensive diamond necklace. Sandie went inside and asked to see the necklace. While trying it on, the gentleman behind the counter got a phone call, he excused himself to answer it, leaving Sandie alone with the necklace. She traced her fingers along the diamonds and was getting ready to make her move of leaving the store when she heard a voice from behind,
"I hope you don't plan on taking that without paying for it."
Sandie turned around to come face to face with Elliot.
"I gave you enough money to be able to pay for your purchases. I don't want to see you resort back to stealing."
Elliot's arms were crossed and Sandie knew that he wasn't kidding. She felt bad but she didn't want to piss him off or end up back in jail. She removed the necklace and placed it back on the counter, then she turned, pushed past Elliot and left the store. He followed her out, grabbing her arm to stop her so he could talk to her. Sandie didn't want to be around him for fear that she might do something stupid and get caught by Zack. The heat was still somewhat strong between the two of them and Elliot was getting tired of chasing her. He wanted to fuck her but she was being stubborn. He wanted to grab her, take her into the alley and unload his hardening cock into her. Like always, she had weaved her magic spell on him and he couldn't forget how good the sex was between them. He thought she might be avoiding him because of the fact that he had arrested her and didn't buy her story when she had shot Jake in self-defense. He knew better though. She was trying to be good and not cheat on Zack. Even though Elliot loved his wife, he was frustrated that he was married and couldn't be the one to please Sandie. After several months of fucking her on the side, risking his job and marriage, he couldn't stand to hide it anymore. He wanted more of her and seeing her in that tiny skirt made him absolutely crazy. Elliot still had a grip on Sandie's arm, she pried it off and turned to walk away.
"Sandie, wait!" Elliot called after her.
"Elliot, I can't do this," she told him. "I'm with Zack now, I can't be around you."
Elliot tried to stop her but she had already walked away. She kept trying not to look back. She badly wanted to use his handcuffs on him and make him weak like she used to but she wanted to be loyal to Zack as well. There were too many temptations around, between the jewelry store, Elliot, the liquor store and of course the drug store, her past was catching up to her. It's why Sandie never left the condo, she had to get back before something bad happened.
Sandie reached her place and closed the door behind her. She had broken out in a sweat, her heart was pounding and she was breathing hard. What was happening to her? She was afraid that she could never change. Was her sister right? Would she always be trouble? Things were fine when she was with James but now that she didn't have him around, things were becoming unstable for her. She headed for the bathroom and drew herself a cold bath hoping it would calm her down.
She was finally starting to relax when she heard the door open. Did she remember to lock it when she came in?
"Baby?"
It was Zack. Sandie forgot that he had a key.
"I'm in here," she called to him.
Zack walked into the bathroom where Sandie had just stepped out of the tub and wrapped a towel around her. He had just caught a glimpse of her naked, wet body but already he was turned on. He pulled her towards him and kissed her and for once, she pushed him away.
"Is everything alright?" Zack asked her. He was concerned since she never turned him away before.
"Baby. Do you think I'm trouble?" Sandie asked him.
"What? No! Why would you ask such a question?"
"I went out today and almost stole a diamond necklace. I would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for Detective Stabler showing up, and you know my history with him. I almost…"
"But you didn't," Zack told her. "You resisted the urge to give into your past and I'm proud of you."
"You don't get it," Sandie said as she walked to the closet to get dressed. Zack watched as she pulled out some sexy, black panties and a lacy bra. She put them on and Zack just wanted to take them back off. She then pulled on a pair of tiny denim shorts and a tiny tee that really showed off her breasts. She walked over to the bed and sat down. Zack sat down next to her.
"What don't I get?" He asked her. "These past months that we've been together, I haven't seen you drink or do drugs or even sleep with someone else. So what's bothering you?"
"The past couple months I haven't left the place which is why I haven't done anything stupid but the minute I left today, my past came back. I don't think I can do this, Zack."
"Do what? Settle down? Go straight? I think you're doing just fine and I'm always here for you."
Zack put his arms around her and kissed her forehead.
"I have to get back to work but I just wanted to come by and see how you were doing. Try to hang in there, baby, you'll be fine."
He kissed her again then got up to leave. After she heard the door close, Sandie went into the living room and grabbed her purse off the table, pulled out her cell phone and dialed James's number.
"Hello?"
"Hey baby," Sandie said.
"Sandie! It's good to hear from you. How are you?"
It's been a while since James had talked with Sandie so he was glad to hear from her. Sandie didn't really know why she was calling him; perhaps it's because she always went to him first or maybe it was because she was secretly in love with him. She had feelings for him that confused her.
"James, darling. I need to see you. Can you come over as soon as possible?"
"Is everything okay?"
"I don't know, I just need you here."
"I'll be there as soon as I can."
They hung up and James headed out of work early. He swung by his apartment to change and grab a few things before hitting the interstate to New York. He was the only one that had her new address and this would be the first time he's seen her in months.
A couple hours later, he showed up at her building and made his way up to her condo. He knocked on the door and Sandie let him in. She threw her arms around him and kissed him hard on the lips. James liked this type of greeting. He missed her kiss. He closed the door and pushed her up against it. He kissed her again and he felt himself starting to get aroused.
Sandie led him into the bedroom and stripped off her clothes then undressed him. She knew it would be the first time she's messed around on Zack but she couldn't help herself. Whenever she had problems, she always went to James and sex with him always made her feel better somehow.
They kissed again and he continued the kisses down her neck to her breasts. He made his way down her body and in between her legs. Playing around down there, Sandie almost came right away but she held off. She made James stand up and she returned the favor by trailing kisses down his body working her way to his hard member. Sucking on him, he almost exploded. He forgot how good she was. Sandie pushed him down the bed and got on top of him. She placed his erection inside of her and they both moaned. Damn, she feels good, James thought. Sandie rode him hard before he flipped her over so he was now on top, making love to her. He started out slow, teasing her before he drove himself further and harder into her. In and out, Sandie screamed with pleasure and the last hard thrust made them both cum hard. James collapsed on top of her, both of them breathing hard.
They lay in bed together just enjoying each other's company. Sandie knew that if Zack found out, that he would be upset but she knew her past was still haunting her and she just couldn't shake it. James lay there wondering why she had called him but then he didn't really care either. He got to fuck her so someone must have messed up in order to make her call him. She always came to him when she was upset. Booty call or not, he knew deep down that Sandie belonged to him regardless of who she was with. Even when she was with Greg, their fights always led her to him even though later she always ended back up with Greg. James always knew that no one else deserved her, they couldn't treat her as well as he could and together their sex life was explosive.
After a while, they both got up and dressed. They decided to head out to a little diner down the street for lunch and Sandie hoped that Zack wouldn't find out. Even if he did, she didn't care, she wasn't going to change for anyone. She was good to him for two months and she hoped that he realized how hard that was for her.
As Sandie and James sat at the diner having a casual conversation, Sandie's cell phone rang. She answered it to find Zack looking for her.
"Hey baby. Where are you?"
"Zack, I went out for a bit."
"Is everything okay?" He asked her. He knew that she was having issues earlier with going out and was surprised that she was out again.
"Yes, I'm fine. Was there something you wanted?"
Zack said something about wanting to take her out to lunch but Sandie told him that she already ate. After a few minutes, they hung up and Sandie turned her attention back to James. Sandie couldn't help herself but she kicked off her shoe and trailed her foot up his leg, teasing him. He almost choked on his burger. Damn her! He thought as he started to get aroused again.
They got the rest of their food to go and hurried back to Sandie's condo where the two of them, acting like a couple of horny teenagers, stripped out of their clothes and headed to the bedroom where they made wild love. They lay wrapped in each other's arms while thoughts swirled through their heads.
"You know, I don't get you," James told Sandie. "You're with this new guy but yet you come to me, you're with Greg, you still come to me. Why not just be with me?"
"I don't know," Sandie said. She propped herself up on her side and looked at him. "I don't really understand it myself."
James looked at her, her naked body still gleaming with sweat from their lovemaking session. All he wanted to do was to take her in his arms and keep her forever. He wanted to protect her from all the other's that had hurt her, wanted to marry her but he knew that she wouldn't go for it, perhaps someday he could convince her.
James didn't want to but he got up and got dressed, he had to head back home to get ready for work the next morning. He wanted to take Sandie back with him but he knew she wouldn't go, not with Greg around. Sandie tried to convince him to stay but failed. She wanted to cry, she didn't want to be alone. Zack was working so much now that she barely got to see him and Elliot had his family.
After James kissed her goodbye and left, Sandie drew herself a hot bath so she could gather her thoughts. She didn't understand why she was always going to him when she was in love with someone else. Could it be that she really did have feelings for James and just wasn't seeing it? She kept following her sexual desires rather than her heart and it kept getting her into trouble.
It was getting late and Sandie was pacing the floor waiting to hear from Zack. After several hours had passed, she called the office and was surprised when he answered.
"Nichols," he said.
"Hey baby, I miss you."
"Darling, I've told you, you can't call me at work, especially when I'm busy."
"I was getting worried, I haven't heard from you in hours. Plus how was I supposed to know you were busy."
"Baby, I will call you when I get a chance. I have got a ton of work to do so I have to go."
Zack hung up the phone and Sandie was left feeling angry, hurt and lonely. She grabbed her purse and headed out the door. She made her way to the police station and found that Zack was not at his desk but his partner, a pretty, young redhead, was at hers.
Sandie walked up to her and immediately she felt jealous. Was she the reason Zack was working so much? Was there something between him and his pretty partner? Sandie shook her head, she didn't want to think about it.
"Can I help you?" The pretty redhead asked.
"I'm looking for Zack, I mean Detective Nichols," Sandie told her.
"You must be Sandie. I'm his partner, Megan Wheeler. He's in interrogation right now but should be back any minute. You're welcome to wait here."
When Zack came back from interrogation and saw Sandie at his desk, he was furious. He didn't like her coming to the station, especially when it was busy.
"What are you doing here?" He asked her.
"I had to see you," Sandie told him.
Zack grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into an empty office. Closing the door behind them he said,
"I don't like you coming here. I told you that I would call you when I had a chance."
"Is there something going on between you and your partner?" Sandie asked him.
"Why would you think that? I care about you."
"Then why is it such a big deal for me to call you or come to see you?"
Zack was getting frustrated.
"Because I'm busy, I told you that before."
Sandie was hurt. It was no wonder she always turned to James, he at least had time for her. She turned, left the office and headed out of the station. She went back to her condo and began to pack her bag. She had to get out of town, give Zack a chance to cool down and make him realize that he was about to lose her. If he cared about her as much as he said he did then why didn't he spend more time with her?
She grabbed her things, locked the door behind her and left the building. She got into her car and drove. She wasn't sure where she was going but found herself headed towards James's apartment. Again, she was drawn towards him. Damn it! She thought, why do I always do this? What is it about him that draws me to him?
Pulling up in front of his building, she stopped the car and just sat there. She didn't know whether to get out and go to him or just go somewhere else. She wondered if she should go see Greg but thought better of it, after all, he screwed her sister, he didn't deserve any sex from her. She decided to just wait it out in the car until morning.
A knock on the car window woke Sandie the next morning. She rubbed her eyes and looked around to find James tapping on the passenger side window. Sandie unlocked the car and he got in.
"What are you doing here?" He asked her.
"I had to get out of the city," she answered.
Realizing she couldn't lie to him, she said,
"Zack and I got into a fight. He was so busy that he had no time for me, so I left."
"And you spent the night out here?"
"I didn't want to bother you, it was late."
James told her to go on into the apartment and that she could stay as long as she needed. He kissed her lips and told her that he had to get to work but that she could come by the office when she was ready. He left the car and Sandie headed up to the apartment, she was glad she still had her key. She went inside and tossed her bag aside. The apartment felt empty and she wondered just how lonely James was without her.
After she showered and changed, she decided to head on over to the hospital to spend some time with James. Again, she found herself thinking about him and she didn't know why. After two months with Zack, she realized that even though he was good to her, she felt as if he was getting bored with her, maybe some time apart will do them both some good.
She pulled up in front of the hospital and started in. She was secretly hoping that she would not run into Greg as she made her way up to James's office. She knocked on the door and was told to come in.
"Hey," she said as she entered the office, closing the door behind her.
James was extremely glad to see her and so were other parts of him but he tried not to think about what he wanted to do to her. He smiled at her as she made her way over to him and kissed him on the lips. He made no hesitation in kissing her back. He wanted to do more but wanted to wait until they were back at the apartment where they would have more privacy. He didn't want Greg or Lisa walking in on them.
Sandie sat down on the couch and James stared at her long legs that were teasing him from under her short dress. Her breasts peeking out from below the low neck line was starting to make him crazy. He shook his head to rid himself of dirty thoughts. It was way too easy for him to take her on the couch right there and make her his.
"So are you going to be okay?" James asked her.
"I'll be alright. Wouldn't be the first time I've gotten in a fight with a boyfriend," Sandie told him.
Before James could say anything else, the door opened and in walked Greg.
"Don't you ever knock?" James scolded him.
Greg ignored him. He saw Sandie sitting on the couch and immediately feelings came flooding back. It's been forever since he last saw her and she hasn't changed a bit. She was still gorgeous and could still drive him wild.
"What are you doing here?" Greg asked her.
"I'm visiting James," Sandie replied.
She really didn't want to talk to him or even see him, she was still hurt from what he did. Greg couldn't take his eyes off her and it was making her uncomfortable. She stood up, told James that she'd talk to him later and left the office. Greg followed.
He grabbed her arm to stop her.
"Sandie, wait."
"Greg, I can't do this right now."
She pried his hand off her arm and turned to leave. Greg didn't want to let her leave, he didn't want to lose her again. The past couple months had been torture for him. After getting drunk and sleeping with Lisa, he came to realize that he was a fool for letting Sandie go. Deep down he was still in love with her and he beat himself up everyday for letting her go. He was jealous that her and James stayed in touch and that he seemed to mean more to her than he ever did.
It hurt Greg to watch the love of his life leave but he figured it was for the best. He kept hoping that she would come back to him someday and that they could work something out. He had overheard that she was seeing someone new, a cop. If things were so perfect for her, then why was she here? She only went to James when something was wrong.
Back at the apartment, Sandie sat on the couch waiting for James to get home. She had made a nice meal for the two of them and she was excited to see him again. She couldn't get enough of him even though her sex life with Zack was hot but she was beginning to think that's all it was. Zack was just the rebound guy for Greg. It drove her crazy to think how much her life has changed, in fact if it weren't for her sister, she never would've met James or Greg. She'd still be in prison. Perhaps she should cut her sister some slack.
Her thoughts were interrupted by her cell phone ringing. She answered it to find a very angry Detective Nichols on the other end.
"Where the hell are you?" He yelled.
"Baby, calm down," Sandie told him.
"I will not calm down. I went by your place only to find out from your neighbors that you had left. Where are you?"
"I'm visiting a friend," Sandie told him.
"Visiting or screwing around?" Zack accused her. "Sandie, I can understand that you're upset about what happened the other night but you can't keep running away from your problems. I want you to come home right now so we can talk about things or I'm coming to get you."
"Zack, darling. I can't just up and leave…"
"Why the hell not?" He interrupted her. "We've been together for two months, I thought things were going great between us. What happened?"
"What happened was that you never had time for me anymore."
Sandie heard the apartment door open and in walked James.
"Baby, I have to go," she told Zack and hung up the phone.
James walked into his apartment to find it dark but lit with candles and the smell of food coming from the kitchen. He sat his briefcase down and walked over to where Sandie sat on the couch. He kissed her forehead. She stood up, wrapped her arms around him and kissed his lips. She then kissed his neck, unbuttoning his shirt, she kissed his chest and worked her way down his body.
The smell of food made him hungry but the smell of Sandie made him horny. He took her in his arms and kissed her luscious lips. He then kissed her neck and shoulder. He removed her dress and caressed her breasts. The two of them made their way into the bedroom where Sandie removed his pants and started to please him by sucking on his now hard erection. He moaned. He enjoyed what she did but he wanted to please her, so he pulled off her panties and went down on her. It was Sandie's turn to moan. James pushed her onto the bed and pushed his now engorged penis into her. Sandie gasped with pleasure as he continued to fuck her. It wasn't long before he exploded inside her. Sticking his fingers inside her, he finished her off in an explosive orgasm.
Dinner was cold by the time they finished their lovemaking session. They got cleaned up and had to reheat dinner but it was worth it. It was late by the time they finished dinner and headed to bed. Instead of making love again, they fell asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning, James awoke to find that Sandie was not in bed. He became worried until he heard the shower running. He thought about joining her but he didn't think he could get hard again, he was actually tired for a change. He got up and got dressed for work. He was in the kitchen when Sandie came out wearing nothing but a towel. She walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around him kissing his neck. Her hands made their way down his body to his pants where she unzipped him and reached inside, fondling his package. He wanted to get hard but for some reason he just couldn't concentrate this morning. He removed her hands and zipped his pants back up. Sandie was hurt but he assured her that he just needed a break, work was weighing on his mind. She said she understood and headed to the bedroom to get dressed.
After he left, Sandie gathered up her things and decided to head back to the city to try and work things out with Zack. She wanted to swing by the office to say goodby to James. She pulled up in front of the hospital and headed into the lobby. She made her way up to James's office where she found Greg in there discussing a case with him. She turned to leave only to run into Lisa who was on her way up to join in the discussion.
"Sandie. What are you doing here? I thought you left town months ago."
"Yeah I did, but you can't keep me away forever."
"Are you here to see Greg or James?"
"I was actually just leaving, I don't really feel like dealing with you right now, sister dear."
Sandie turned to leave and James managed to catch a glimpse of her. He pushed past Greg and Lisa to catch up to her.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey, baby. I just wanted to tell you that I was going back to New York, try to work things out with Zack."
Sandie kissed him on the cheek then whispered, "I love you" in his ear.
"I have to go now," she told him.
Again, Greg and James watched as Sandie left. James was heartbroken but deep down he knew things wouldn't last between her and Zack and before too long she would be back in his arms.
