(Philia Speaking) Who is really in charge of our memories? Is it really us that control what we remember? Or do we rely on others to tell the memories for us? Don't forget that they might hold the same memories as we do. But what would happen if they alter the memories we believe is true? Would we believe in them? Or would the memories we hold help see the truth? Deep down, we all know the true memories, linked together like a chain, paved forward like a path.
Last time, I was still facing off against Marluxia, and barely holding on. However, thanks to an unknown power, I somehow knocked him back enough to proceed forward after Sora. There, I ended up going into Sora's home world of Destiny Islands, fighting the Darkside that was within it.
Meanwhile, Sora was dealing with Riku, who he thought he defeated, but he got one up on him, and nearly killed him. However, Naminé crushed his heart, causing him to collapse. Larxene came along and unveiled the truth about the fake Riku, the fake Philia, and about Naminé's true power. Sora nearly got taken down by her, but Donald and Goofy arrived in time to save him, where they worked together to take her down.
But just when she was ready to continue fighting, PHox backstabbed her, literally, and killed her off, with his main goal being to kill off Sora, my friends, and Naminé, in order to get to me. He nearly got his wish, but I came out and stopped him, saving Sora, and fought together with him to defeat PHox, using the new power I had gained; Soul Burst, using Sora's power to finally put him down. He did give out a warning that it was not over between he and I, and that we would face each other one day. With that, he vanished into nothing, defeated.
With time to recuperate, we spoke with Naminé, who told the truth about Sora's memories, about her having no part of them, and why my memories were not altered; Because the only memories I did have were that of Sora and my friends, and my heart was special enough that they could not be altered. Due to her jealousy of me and Kairi, as well as her loneliness, she followed the Organization's plans to alter Sora's memories while trying to damage the ties between me and Sora. She was regretful, and wanted to restore Sora's memories again. So, we continued on upward, with the one goal in mind; Defeat Marluxia, the ruler of the castle, and reach the place to restore Sora's memories.

(Sora and Philia stand at the crossroads in the middle of a grassy plains at night, facing opposite directions, with Philia expression that of sadness. Then the wind draws their attention, and they shielded their faces, only to open their eyes to see Castle Oblivion before them, with Donald and Goofy by their sides. The scene blurs out as the title of the series appears.)

(On a clear surface in a black environment, Sora stood there, the silhouettes of Donald, Goofy and Jiminy, then switched out for Riku and Mickey, then Kairi with her back turned. She turns around, and her appearance changes to Naminé. He closes his eyes, and falls backwards.)
When you were young, you had dreams you wished for with all your heart
The journey to find where they are has only just begun
(Sora transforms into Philia as she splashes through the surface, her eyes half-closed as pictures of their previous adventure scatter the area about her, mostly those of her and Sora together. She becomes wide awake, and struggles to swim back up to the surface, only for her leg to be grabbed by a hand. She looked down to see PHox, his grin hidden in the hood as he looked at her.)
I no longer need the time I mourned.
So break the wall of limitation, right now!
(In a white room, Naminé sat there with a somber expression, drawing pictures in a book. She looked up, and the scene shifts to one of the large doors within Castle Oblivion opening to let Sora, Philia and their friends through.)

(The pair were working together as they took out Heartless that got in their way as they charged through the castle hallways with their weapon, before pulling out cards that shined, allowing them to perform magic and Dagger Skills.)
Recollections that never change, no matter what pain we experience.
(At a closed door, silhouettes of Axel unleashing his blazing chakrams, to Larxene throwing her electrified daggers, to Vexen and his shield in front of him as he unleashed a pillar of ice, to Marluxia as he swiped his scythe, unleashing a scattering of flower petals.)
Embracing the vow I found as I broadened my sight
(Sora ends up fighting against Dark Riku as they clashed with one another, both determined to save Naminé, before pushing off of one another, skidding to a halt.)
Because this road I chose with unclouded eyes will connect me to you
(Sora, covered in injuries, glares at Riku, before he heard something, and turned around to see PHox standing there, his blood red cutting knife raised, as a screaming Philia was consumed in a cocoon of darkness, before revealing herself once more, in a similar attire to Dark Riku's, only blue instead of purple, and her eyes flashed deadly at Sora.)
Let your voice echo, resist destiny!
(Sora was shocked at Philia's change, but saw Donald and Goofy come to his side, assuring him to save her, and they charged forward to Dark Philia, Sora's hand raised out to her, though the scene shifts to regular Philia falling backwards into darkness.)

(Scene warps about, from Sora standing on the beach with Kairi, who is swapped with Naminé, to Philia clutching her heart, while the logo of the Laughing Coffin was behind her, then crying out in desperation to know what is the truth, to Riku rising up to reach out to the light, to the light showing a silhouette of King Mickey, to the shadow of DiZ in a dark room, finishing Naminé closing the drawing book, placing it on a small white table before her, showing a crude picture of Philia and Sora standing together, their hands held as they stared up at Castle Oblivion. Naminé's shadow over the book moves aside as she walks away, ending the scene)
White Room
They reached the top of the stairs, where they saw the usual door that they had to go through. However, they noticed that the door was ajar, available to go through.
"Hold on, why is the door open for us?" Goofy asked.
"There are no more illusion worlds to go through." Philia answered, "I know there was one more world we have not been through. But for some reason, we skipped over it."
"What world was that?" Donald asked.
"A world where we met a man of the jungle named Tarzan, as well as other characters." Philia recalled, "Well, I don't get it. Must be something we cannot understand. Either way, let's keep going."
She proceeded forward, but Sora did not. Donald and Goofy looked to him, as he looked down, thinking. It was just another example that Philia had all the memories of their past, whereas he didn't have any memories. But the times he accused Philia of being wrong still echoed in his head.
"Philia?" he spoke up, and Philia stopped to turn to him. He paused, before bowing his head, saying, "I'm sorry! I know I should've listen to you deep down, but... I was so determined to learn about Naminé and save her, I rejected you and your warnings. Now, I hurt you because of this, my memories of our time together are pretty much gone, and I'm afraid that..."
"Sora, it's okay." Philia assured him, "Besides, I was dealing with my own ordeals in this castle. We were both dancing in the palm of the Organization's hands...and we cannot forget Naminé was also responsible for our situation. You can't deny that." Sora looked down sadly, before nodding in agreement.
"But we now know the truth, and we know how to fix it." she continued, "Naminé is willing to help you guys restore your memories. But first, Marluxia must be defeated." Donald and Goofy nodded in agreement.
Sora smiled as he stated, "Thanks, Philia. I know we've been through a lot, but I'm glad you are back here with me. I now believe you really are one of the most important people to me."
Philia looked a bit sad, before looking away from him, hiding her face as she replied, "Yeah... me, too." With that, they continued on, going through the door.
They found themselves going down a white hallway together, with Philia in the lead, followed by Donald and Goofy, and Sora bringing up the rear. He stopped once again as he pulled out Kairi's Wayfinder, muttering, "Who was it, besides Philia? Who else was most important to me?" He tried to get the memories of the girl's name to his mouth, but nothing came. He had no recollection of her name. "Nothing..." he sighed, looking depressed.
"Still can't remember, huh?" Philia asked.
Shook his head as he replied, "No, I only remember Naminé. C'mon, do you guys remember anything at all?"
"No. Sorry, Sora." Donald apologized, "I know it's important, but I just can't remember..."
"Then, Philia! Can't you tell us?" Sora asked the girl, "You know who it is, right?"
"Oh, yes. I do know her." Philia replied, thinking back, "She and I didn't know each other for long, but she and I ended up becoming friendly rivals with one another."
"Rivals in what?" Goofy asked.
"Well, that...that's a secret between me and her." Philia answered, smiling as she placed a finger to her lips.
"Then, can you at least tell me her name?" Sora asked.
"That's easy. It's-." Philia stopped herself, as she thought to Naminé. She thought about what she said, and what their goal was. Finally thinking it through, she smiled as she replied, "Actually, maybe I shouldn't."
"What? Why not?!" Sora demanded.
"Because she is that important to you. It's something you should try to remember for yourself." she answered, "Besides, once we defeat Marluxia, Naminé will help you remember her again. Think of it as a treasure you are trying to obtain at the end of your journey. Trust me, a treasure hunter, when I say it's worth finding out for yourself."
Sora paused, thinking on her reasoning, before answering, "I get that. It makes sense, but..."
"I don't want to be, but I'm getting scared." Donald followed up, looking worried. Philia looked to the two, before wondering if she should tell them or not, after all. It's not like she wasn't afraid of what was to come, either.
"Then we should really make a promise!" Goofy suggested, getting the team's attention to him, "What you said back there kinda got my brain a-thinkin'. Whenever you make a promise that's super-duper big, maybe it gives you the courage to face the scary stuff."
The team looked to each other, with Sora and Philia both muttering to themselves, "Courage..." What Goofy said made sense, and they found a reason to make such a pact.
"Yeah! Let's do it!" Donald decided, raising a hand, "Even if we get scared, or in trouble, or even if we get separated-."
"Or even if we sorta forget each other-." Goofy added, placing a hand on Donald's hand.
"Whatever happens, we're friends!" Sora declared, placing his hand onto the rest of his friends.
"Now, and forever." Philia ended, placing a hand on the top of the stack.
"All for one, and one for all!" Donald declared.
With this vow, the trio suddenly created a new set of sleights; Trinity Limit, which either Sora or Philia could use. This became useful, for as soon as they walked out of the hallway, Sora and Philia were on their own. Castle Oblivion became like the Illusion Worlds before; a series of rooms they had to go through. They also had to deal with the Heartless that sprung up at them, composed of ones like Shadows, Neoshadows, the four elemental floating Heartless, Darkballs, Wyverns, Defenders, and Wizards.
While the enemies were abundant, Sora and Philia were now together again, and fighting together in fights, too. They were able to easily overwhelm the opponents with all they had. It also helped that they gained new sleight from a bounty room, known as Raging Storm, which creating small flaming tornadoes around their floating bodies as they moved around to damage the enemies. They even discovered the Room of Reward, which Philia opened up, which gave them access to the Superglide ability. This proved useful for covering ground, as there was a lot of rooms to deal with.
Meanwhile...
In another room far ahead of the heroes, Marluxia was walking down it, going to a different room, when he stopped as a black portal opened up, revealing Axel standing there, smirking slightly. He never bothered looking back at who it was.
"You have some nerve to show your treasonous face around here...some nerve indeed-." Marluxia started.
"Treasonous? I don't know what you could possibly be talking about." Axel asked amusingly.
Marluxia turned to him and asked, "Why let Naminé go? If it weren't for your needless meddling, we could have turned the Keyblade Master to come and serve us."
"Ohh, right, your big plan." Axel recalled, "You use Naminé to rewrite Sora's memories piece by little piece. And he turns into her total puppet. Then, using Naminé and Sora together, you and Larxene overthrow the Organization, with PHox adding Philia under his control to join in with you guys. Am I right? I would say that YOU are the traitor, Marluxia."
"Since when were you suspicious of us?" Marluxia asked.
"Do either one of us have the heart to believe anyone?" Axel asked, smirking.
Marluxia huffed a smirk as he answered, "So you only eliminated Vexen to obtain proof of our plan?"
"That, I didn't want to do, but it was your order."
"And what of PHox eliminating Larxene. Was he on your side?"
"'Fraid not. He came to that conclusion on his own." Axel replied, "Plus, you know he was the head honcho's attack dog. He was just doing what I had planned." He suddenly summoned his flaming chakrams, getting into a fighters stance, which Marluxia amused at this sign of hostility, "Remember the orders: 'You must eliminate the traitor'. I always follow orders, Marluxia."
Sora & Philia
The pair just finished off another batch of Heartless, taking a small breather. "Man, this is rough." Sora sighed.
"This entire castle has been, Sora." Philia argued, "Besides, you didn't have to repeat worlds like I did a while ago. It at least boosted my strength for this moment." This was true, as Sora was able to gain the Ragnarok sleight through fighting throughout this place, while Philia gained her final sleight from 'leveling' in the area, known as Tempest, which was a quadruple slash that created a massive tornado of light that exploded around the room.
It took some time, but they eventually made it to the room where they needed to go, using a crap ton of cards before entering in.
Moments ago...
Axel and Marluxia were in the midst of their fight, and have stood away from one another. "PHox took care of Larxene, making her pay the price for her disloyalty...you do the same!" He lunged at Marluxia, swinging his chakrams, before one swing made Marluxia take a giant leap back. He stopped, but stabbed the butt of his scythe handle in the ground, blocking the thrown weapons that ground against his weapon, before they were pushed back to Axel, who caught each of them, before holding them straight out on either side.
"The Organization's betrayed." he labeled Marluxia, "In that name, I will annihilate you."
"That line's not you." Marluxia replied, his scythe pointed at his opponent.
"Well, had to try it once, you know." Axel chuckled, before coming at him.
Marluxia smirked and evaded Axel's attack, swinging at him with his scythe, which he evaded, before unleashing an energy wave with another swing. Axel landed and blocked the attack. He looked to Marluxia, who raised his hand as a swirl of darkness and flower petals formed in front of him. Axel held his guard up, but lowered as he realized he wasn't attacking, but summoning someone; Naminé, which he held in front, placing a hand on her head.
"Is that your shield?" Axel asked, "Won't do you any good, I'm afraid."
"I wonder." Marluxia questioned, tilting his head behind Axel, asking, "Are you listening, Sora?" Axel grimaced, as he soon realized that Sora, Philia, Donald, and Goofy had just come through the door right behind him, hearing what was going on.
"Axel says he's willing to harm Naminé to get me." the pink-haired Organization member called out to him, "You won't let that happen, will you?"
Sora, Donald, and Goofy drew out their weapons, ready to fight, while Philia looked to Marluxia, growling, "Using Naminé to pit our group against Axel? You are seriously cynical, you know that?"
"Oh? So unlike Sora, who's barking on Marluxia's commands, you haven't turned into PHox's puppet." Axel noticed.
"After I finish you, he's next!" Sora barked, pointing his Keyblade at Marluxia, who stood quietly.
"I can tell we've got a common enemy, but we have different ways of dealing with him." Philia noted, "I don't plan to sacrifice Namine's life just to get to him."
"But I can!" spat Philia's voice, surprising the group of heroes, the boys looking to Philia, who didn't respond. Suddenly, darkness formed from above, and down came the Dark Philia, landing right in front of Axel, readying her dagger as she pointed at Marluxia and Naminé. "I have no problem killing that girl in order to get to Marluxia."
"So that really WAS a fake version of Philia!" Sora realized, shocked to see the other version.
"Who's the fake, now?!" Dark Philia barked.
"So, this was where PHox's puppet was at." Marluxia understood.
"See? This is what I meant when I said it was no problem." Axel stated, "I had someone to take care of the job for me."
"So this is what you are doing, huh?" Philia asked her dark self, glaring at her.
"Yeah. I plan to use my murderous nature to get through all obstacles to get the job done." Dark Philia answered, leering one eye back at her real self, "Unlike you bleeding-hearted fools, I won't hesitate to slash down some innocent soul in order to get to my target."
"Naminé is more than just an innocent soul! She's someone special to Sora. And me, as well!" Philia argued, causing her other self to eye-roll.
"Oh, give me a break! Those memories she fed into him are fake, just like my killer past!" Dark Philia argued, "And yet, you allow him to still follow the emotions of his fake memories, but not allow me?!"
"Because we're trying to PROTECT Naminé while killing him off!" Philia snapped, "And if you plan to kill her off, no matter what the reason is, I will have to fight you, too!" She summoned her dagger, ready to fight her dark self.
Dark Philia sighed, before looking at Axel, saying, "You know, Axel... I just can't ignore this weaker version of me. What about you with Sora?"
Axel sighed as well, before turning to him saying, "Now, Sora, Philia. We've got more in common than you might think. I'd really rather not fight you..." He suddenly smirked as he twirled his chakarams, while Dark Philia stood next to him, her dagger as she glowed a dark aura. "But I can't dishonor the Organization, now, can I?" Axel finished, teeming with flames as the team readied the fight Marluxia set up.
There was a bright light, and Sora and Philia stood together, facing both Axel and Dark Philia. This was the first time the battle became a 2v2 battle. It was gonna be a challenge for the pair.
Philia and Sora launched together, each with their own Attack cards ready, while Axel and Dark Philia launched with their own card attacks. Sora managed to beat Axel with an Attack card, while Philia and Dark Philia's cards canceled each other out. Dark Philia then readied another card, going into a Round Accel that sent Philia back, before she came around with a sleight, unleashing an Icy Breath sleight, breathing out a gust of ice at her, and nearly hitting Axel, but he ended up countering the attack with a Fire Wall sleight, who warped into the center of the room, ready to unleash a fiery wall of flames. However, Sora came in with a 0 Attack card, stopping him from unleashing the attack.
Dark Philia turned her attention to Sora, before unleashing a Dark Blizzaga sleight at him, hitting him, and knocking him back. This was followed by Axel approaching him and striking him a few times, before Sora countered with a higher card, striking with a Thunder spell to counter him.
"My turn!" Dark Philia growled, ready to strike Sora with Dagger Throw.
"Not happening!" Philia shouted, unleashing a higher-number attack card, striking with an Attack card to counter, while gathering the appropriate cards, before unleashing them, shouting, "Soul Burst: Sora!" She unleashed the sleight, summoning the illusion of Sora above her before he dove into her dagger, reloading her deck and changing her Attack cards to Keyblades, which her dagger also transformed into.
"Ah, so that's that new power that helped you beat PHox." Axel understood, before he had to back up from Sora's swing of his Keyblade.
"Yeah. I'll use it against the two of you!" Philia barked, launching forward into a slash with her Keyblade, striking Dark Philia with it a couple times, before she countered with a Round Accel, which Philia backed off from. She gathered her cards, and unleashed a Fire Raid sleight, throwing her Keyblade at Dark Philia, burning her.
"Now there's an idea!" Axel stated, before gathering his sleights, igniting his chakrams in flames, before unleashing his Firetooth sleight, throwing his weapons simultaneously at Sora, who evaded the attack coming at him, before getting struck when they came around and struck him, before coming back to Axel again. Sora growled as he gathered a Friend card, unleashing the Goofy Smash, striking Axel up with the attack before slamming him back down.
Sora tried to get at him again, but Dark Philia unleashed an Armor Pierce that sent him flying. Sora regained himself as she came at him, while Axel, regaining himself, ended up encountering Philia, who unleashed Ars Arcanum, striking multiple times with her Keyblade, before he used a 0 card to cancel it and counter with a thrown chakram, knocking her over and catching his weapon by warping towards it.
"Try to keep up!" Axel scoffed at Philia, "You ain't no Sora. Your just borrowing his power."
"Yeah, but I'll still it!" Philia argued, preparing her Keyblade, "They were born from my connection to Sora, and the true memories of our time together!"
Meanwhile, Dark Philia unleashed a Dagger Throw, but Sora leapt over it, coming down onto her with a Keyblade slash, followed by a Shock Impact sleight, unleashing a powerful shockwave that damaged both Dark Philia and Axel, giving Philia an opening to strike him.
"You really are obsessed about Naminé, aren't you?" Dark Philia asked, "You know she's responsible for all your memories being completely scrambled and fake, so why don't you enact your revenge against her for messing with you? Why won't you guys let me kill her AND Marluxia when the end results matter?!"
"Shut up!" Sora barked, "I'm more angry that you were responsible for messing with me and Philia and nearly ruining our friendship! Even with PHox gone, you still are causing problems!"
"You are a real pain! I don't know why Philia cares about you so much!" Dark Philia growled, "I did say before that I was planning to kill you, so why don't I keep my word!" She charged at Sora, as he did the same.
Fighting the two enemies simultaneously was difficult, what with Axel's flaming strikes and thrown weapons, and Dark Philia's dark version of the Dagger Skills and her freezing spells. They were pretty well-coordinated, as well, breaking the other's cards after they break their's. However, Sora and Philia were tenacious, and were coordinating themselves better and better as the fight went on.
"Burn, baby!" Axel shouted, throwing his attacks in a Firetooth sleight, in which he was throwing four of them rather than two of them, all trying to come at Sora and Philia.
"Mercy is weak!" Dark Philia growled, unleashing Dart Storm, leaping high and sending a deluge of daggers flying down at Philia specificially, trying to home in on her. Sora and Philia used their Superglide ability to try and evade the flaming chakrams and the dark daggers. However, Philia got struck down and screamed in pain from the stabs and thrown flaming chakrams.
"Philia!" Sora shouted, flying towards her, evading Axel's next attack, using an attack card to counter Dark Philia's Dagger Throw, and using Cura on Philia, healing her of her wounds.
"Thanks, Sora." Philia thanked him, "Sorry about that." She then noticed Axel coming in, and used a 0 card to counter his next attack. "Let's focus and get back in there!" she told Sora, who nodded in agreement, and they went in.
"Shatter!" Dark Philia shouted, unleashing Dark Blizzaga at the two, but Sora had another 0 card at the ready, blocking the attack.
"Sora, let's try combining our cards together!" Philia suggested, "That one sleight we individually can't do, let's try using our cards together!"
"Worth a shot!" Sora replied, "Let's go!" Philia drew out a Tinker Bell and Bambi card, while Sora drew out his Genie card. The two held their cards up high as their hands touched one another, hoping the sleight would work, even as Dark Philia came at them with an Armor Pierce, and Axel threw his flaming chakram. Fortunately, their risk worked, and they created the Confuse sleight, causing both Philia and Axel to go into a confused state, making them dazed.
"It worked!" Sora cheered, "Now let's finish the job!"
"Right! Get your best wide-range attack!" Philia declared, readying her sleight alongside Sora.
The both unleashed their sleights, with Philia unleashing the Eternal Cyclone Dagger Skill, while Sora unleashed Trinity Limit. Philia unleashed a cyclone spin with her dagger, while Sora stabbed his Keyblade into the ground spinning it as he summoned an intricate magic circle, causing a blast of light to radiate the entire field, amplified by Philia's attack, causing the damage to become much larger than normal.
"So this is it..." Axel grimaced as he was dealt the final blow, before disappearing.
"But...why?" Dark Philia questioned, before she, too, vanished. The two combatants remained alone on the field, as a card of Axel suddenly appeared. Sora took it and pocketed it.
There was a flash of light, and Sora and Philia stood together with their weapons held, as both Axel and Dark Philia stood there, exhausted and injured.
"You're better than I thought you'd be." Axel noted, clutching his side with one hand, while pointing a finger at Sora, "It was worth saving you after all."
"Saving me? What d'ya mean?" Sora asked.
"You saved him? Why would you do that?" Dark Philia asked, glaring at Axel.
Axel chuckled as he replied, while dark vapors consumed him, "Sorry, I would hate to kill the suspense."
"Axel!" Sora called out as he was hidden from view, before the vapors vanished, and he was gone, leaving Dark Philia alone.
She looked at where he stood, before looking down, muttering, "Saving someone? Why?" She shook her head, before growling, "I don't get it."
"Philia..." Philia muttered to her dark self, who looked up at her, before gritting her teeth.
"Don't pity me. I don't need it, not from someone weak like you!" she snapped, "You don't want me to stop the bad guy for you? Fine! Get yourself killed for all I care! In the end, it'll just prove I was the better one!" She turned and ran away from the group, leaving Philia and Sora alone.
"Why...?" Philia muttered, "Why does she think I'm weak? We've fought each other a few times, beating her each time, but..."
"We can worry about that later." Sora answered, "Marluxia's taken Naminé. We have to save her!" Philia nodded in agreement, as she was important in restoring Sora's memories again. With that, they took off, going after Marluxia.
The pair raced through Castle Oblivion, dealing with more Heartless along the way. Thanks to the amount of battles they did, Sora managed to gain access to his final Sleight through 'leveling', being Mega Flare. However, after some fighting and running, they eventually found the door they needed to get through, and they opened it up to rush on in.
Next thing they knew, Sora, Philia, Donald and Goofy were running on a wide hallway, before coming to a halt at an open rectangular room. There, Marluxia stood, with Naminé at his side, as his hostage, and an intricate-framed door right behind them.
"You've defeated Axel and the puppet." Marluxia noted, as the team came to a halt. He chuckled as he stated, "The Keyblade's power...how I've longed to make it my own."
"No where left to run!" Philia growled.
"Let Naminé go!" Sora declared.
"You've no chance in winning." Marluxia mocked them, "You had a stroke of luck during that one time, Philia, but I was merely caught off guard. Make no mistake, that won't happen again." Philia grimaced, as she knew he was right.
He placed a hand on the blonde-haired girl's shoulder, saying, "Naminé... Erase Sora's memory."
The order startled the group, especially Naminé, who turned and pleaded, "But if I do that...!"
"That's right. Sora's heart will be destroyed." Marluxia responded without a sense of empathy.
"Sora's heart, destroyed?" Goofy echoed, looking scared.
"You can do that?" Donald asked.
"Naminé, don't do it!" Philia called out, glaring at her, "I'll never forgive you if you destroyed his heart, no matter the reason."
"I'd rather have preferred him unmarred, but he can be rebuilt, more to my liking with time." Marluxia stated, smiling at this statement, "PHox had planned to do that with Philia once he had her submit to him."
"What?!" Philia gasped, not remembering this being told to her.
"I guess you can say he was the inspiration to this." Marluxia finished, "Naminé, do it."
"No." she answered, causing him to lose his smile, "Sora and Philia forgave me even when I deceived them. So how could I destroy his heart? There's no way! I don't care what happens to me. I won't hurt Sora! I won't do it!"
"Naminé..." Philia muttered, seeing the resolve in her tone and eyes. She had a new respect for her after what she said.
"Then you will-." Marluxia started, but Sora interrupted as he shouted, "Do it, Naminé!" Everyone looked stunned as they turned to Sora, shocked to hear him say such a thing. "I don't care! You can erase my memory!" he told her.
"Are you insane?!" Philia demanded.
"Sora, why'd you say that?!" Goofy questioned.
"Because who will I look after if I don't have Naminé?" Sora asked.
"Sora, for crying out loud, Naminé's not the only important person in your life!" Philia barked, "What about 'her'? The one whose name you forgotten? What...What about me? Don't you even need me?!"
"No, of course I do!" Sora assured her heavily, "You're the one person I can count on when my memories are all gone to help remember everything for me! I know your memories can't be erased. Naminé said so herself! So I'm relying on you AND Naminé. I can't lose either one of you!"
"Sora!" Philia gasped, realizing he meant all he said. She was that important to him.
He turned to Naminé again as he said, "So just do it! Erase my memories. Destroy my heart. I promised! I'll always protect you! You have to believe me! I don't need any memories to take on someone like Marluxia!"
"You bet!" Donald replied, "Even if Sora forgets it all, Goofy, Philia, and I won't forget!"
Goofy nodded in agreement before following up, "Donald's right. The three of us can remember everything for Sora!"
Philia looked to her friends, before sighing as she said, "Well, I've been helping Sora and his friends remember stuff so far. Why stop now? Not like I can't fight in his stead until he remembers, anyway."
"See, I'll have all of my friends' memories, so I can piece my own together again." Sora assured Naminé.
"You ignorant fool." Marluxia scoffed, "If Naminé uses her powers to erase your memory, you'll be nothing but an empty shell. Your heart will no longer be able to feel or to care, just like Vexen's pathetic imitation of your Riku and Philia."
"Take another guess." Riku's voice called out, causing everyone in the room to look surprised. Just then, a portal opened up, and out came the replica of Riku, who had his sword ready, and swung it at Marluxia, who backed away from him and Naminé.
"It can't be!" Marluxia gasped, seeing who it was.
"Riku!" Sora and Philia exclaimed.
Riku straightened himself as he looked back at the group and replied, "No. Just an imitation."
"You're a shell... a shell who has had everything taken! Everything!" Marluxia argued.
"What could you possibly think I ever had?" the replica Riku asked, "Both my body and my heart are fake. But...there is one memory I'll keep...even if it's just a lie! Whether it was a phantom promise or not...I will protect Naminé!"
Marluxia grimaced as he glared at all of them, before saying, "Imbeciles..." He raised his hand up high as a flower petal came from above, which transformed into his scythe, as petals surrounded his body like a slow-spinning cyclone. "You would knowingly shackle your heart with a chain of memories full of lies?!"
Sora, Philia, and the others readied their weapons as the scythe-wielder continued, "You would be one who has a heart, yet cast aside your heart's freedom?" The replica Riku raised a hand to block Marluxia's path to Naminé. "You turn from the truth because your heart is weak..." He stretched his arms out, like he was priest praying to a god, before frowning at the group, finishing, "You will never defeat me!" He got into a fighter's stance, prepared to fight.
There was a bright light, and Sora and Philia were standing together in the same rectangular room, facing Marluxia. "Sora, I've faced him before, and he is no joke." Philia warned him.
"I know. Let's win this fight!" Sora replied, before he and Philia launched forward.
Marluxia huffed as he unleashed a double-crescent wave from his scythe, which Philia countered with a higher-attack card, and Sora launched in to attack, but he warped away from the scene, appearing away from Sora, but close to Philia. He turned and unleashed three pink tornadoes at Philia, chasing after her. However, she prepared a sleight, breaking his attack before unleashing her Dagger Throw Dagger Skill, striking Marluxia and damaging him.
He then came around and warped into the air high above in the air, swinging his scythe a few times, sending energy blades at the two fighters. Sora and Philia ran to evade the attack, before setting up another sleight each.
Philia turned and unleashed a Fad Edge Dagger Skill, striking him a couple times, but got countered as he unleashed a 0 card, unleashing a flash and a slash to damage Philia. However, before he could attack again, Sora came in with a Strike Raid, stunning the man for a moment. This left him vulnerable to Sora unleashing some single card strikes, from attacks to an Aero spell. However, Marluxia came back with a vengeance, warping away from Sora's position, getting a good distance from them, and swinging his scythe a couple times to unleash more crescent waves, striking both characters, knocking them back. Philia retaliated with a Curaga spell, healing the pair of their wounds.
"He's good." Sora grimaced.
"But he's still got more!" Philia called out, as Marluxia unleashed another sleight, warping to Philia's side and slashing her, before warping again and slashing Sora right to her, before warping again and slashing the two at once. They toppled as he appeared in the center of the battlefield and unleashed a shockwave that the two ended up getting caught in, before sending another one on the outside of the battlefield.
"Incoming!" Philia shouted, snatching a 0 card from her deck as Marluxia turned flower petals into light projectiles at the pair, and used it to break the attack. It was a Potion card, restocking her Attack cards.
"Impressive." Marluxia noted, "But all in vain."
"We'll see!" Sora answered as he and Philia recovered from the attack, before continuing the fight.
Marluxia had everything; versatile fighting skills, a great amount of stamina, and high-number cards in his arsenal, including some 0 cards. His attacks were not just him warping around the field, but also unleashing crescent waves with a slash of his scythe, but pink tornadoes, flying in for close-ranged slashes, raining down energy blades that created shockwaves, and unleashing his lethal Blossom Shower sleight, like he did before. Sora and Philia had to time their moments to use their sleights, and when to evade or block with 0 cards they had on hand.
"It is pointless." Marluxia called out, "Prepare!" He unleashed another set of tornados at Philia and Sora.
"We are prepared!" Philia shouted, unleashing a Raging Storm sleight, consuming herself in a swirl of flaming tornadoes, before floating towards Marluxia, destroying his pink tornadoes, and damaging Marluxia with her attack. He backed off, and created a Deathscythe sleight, floating up into the middle of the field, and unleashing slashes down at Philia.
"Not on my watch!" Sora shouted, unleashing a 0 Gravity card, and causing not only for Marluxia to have his attack broken, but the gravity to send him crashing into the ground.
"You shall pay with your lives!" Marluxia told them, before preparing another sleight, vanishing from sight. Sora and Philia only took a second to look about, before Philia got hit with a slamming shockwave as Marluxia struck from above, before leaping back up, striking down at her again, causing more damage to her again.
"Stop attacking her!" Sora shouted, creating a sleight with a higher number that of Marluxia's sleight, breaking his attack before he could complete his third strike, and was unable to block as Sora leapt up and unleashed the Ragnarok sleight, sending a salvo of light bullets at Marluxia.
"This light show isn't over!" Philia growled, using an Elixir to recover her cards, before unleashing the Light Volley sleight, leaping up and unleashing one ball of light after another to damage Marluxia even more.
"Your heart will be scattered!" Marluxia called out, before unleashing his Blossom Shower sleight, going after Sora this time, striking him multiple times, before leaping into the center of the battlefield, and created a shockwave that damaged Sora, before an exterior one attacked Philia. She saw the petals going to be turned into light projectiles.
"That's not gonna happen, no matter what!" Philia growled, getting up from the shockwave, going in as Sora ended up beating her to the punch, using a Stun Impact combo that countered the attack, and left Marluxia phased for a moment. She then used a pair of friend cards, and unleashed her own Trinity Limit. She raised her dagger up high, channeling magic as she summoned a complex magic circle underneath her, before she stabbed her dagger into the ground, unleashing a ray of energy that struck all around, which damaged Marluxia while he was unable to counter.
"It's over!" Sora shouted, gathering up three 9 cards, and unleashing Zantetsuken, slashing right through Marluxia just like Philia did the time before. This time, it did the job, finishing him off. "Hmph! So you are the hero!" he grimaced before he vanished, leaving behind a card of himself, which Philia took to pocket.
There was another bright light, and the group of heroes was all together again, looking as Marluxia clutched his gut, flower petals falling about him, before he spread out his arms, and faded from existence.
"Is he gone?" Donald asked. Sora and Philia looked to each other, then back at their friends, and gave a thumbs up.
"You could say that." Marluxia's voice echoed about, making them all jump. It seemed to come from the area in front. All of a sudden, a black portal opened up, and Marluxia stood there, completely unscathed from their previous fight. "However, what you destroyed was merely an illusion of me."
Sora and Philia looked angry that they had been fooled by Marluxia again, only for the Replica Riku to run by, shouting, "So what?!" He took another swing at the Organization member, only for him to vanish into flower petals. "Another imitation." he recognized as everyone joined his side.
The group looked to the doors ahead of them, with Sora wondering out loud, "He's really...in there?"
"Yes." Naminé answered.
"I knew it." Sora replied, "I can feel his power. It's trying to destroy my heart."
"Then we'd better put a stop to him together before he tries to do that!" Philia growled, with Goofy nodding in agreement.
"Sora, C'mon!" Donald told the Keyblade wielder.
Sora looked to the fake Riku, saying, "Riku... Protect Naminé."
The replica looked surprised as he turned and asked, "You don't...mind?"
Sora smiled as he replied, "Should I?"
"It's the promise you want to keep." Philia noted.
Riku looked to the pair, before saying, "All right." Naminé looked pleased at her 'childhood friends' being on good terms again.
Sora, Philia, Donald, and Goofy stood there at the door, looking ahead. "Whatever's behind that door is super powerful." Donald noted.
"As long as we remember our promise, there's nothing we can't beat!" Goofy declared.
Philia looked to Sora, before she raised her hand high. "Let's get in there, defeat Marluxia, and get your memories back." she told him.
"Yeah." Sora replied, raising his hand. The two high-fived one another, the clap echoing in the room. As they did this, the door ahead of them opened up, and they stepped through together.
Entering inside, they found themselves in a room that was very similar to the battlefields the two would face their opponents should they start in one of the White Rooms of the castle. However, the air around the outside of the field was a faded gray rather than the black, and the floor had a different design on it, with more of a stain-glass window design than before. They ran close to the center of the field, looking up as Marluxia floated high above them.
"Soon the emptiness will shatter your heart, here in this world of nothingness!" he told Sora, petals starting to swirl around him. Suddenly, he was consumed in a tornado, hiding him from view of the heroes. They braced themselves against the storm, but was able to peer through the wind and flower petals to see that Marluxia had suddenly transformed before their eyes. In replace of everything below the waist, there was a flower blossoming from a white monster, only it was not a Heartless, as it had a different symbol on the hood of its hidden face. It had shoulderpads, scythe hands like a mantis, a black mane behind it, and feather-like tendrils underneath.
"As lightless oblivion devours you..." Marluxia told him, "...drown in the ever-blooming darkness!" He summoned 'scarves' from the flower, as the team readied their weapons, prepared for a fight.
There was a bright light, and Sora and Philia were on their own again, and they raced at Marluxia, who brought one of his scythe down at the two, who leapt out of the way, before seeing the other scythe swing around, sending a shockwave that struck Philia, knocking her back. This was followed by a shockwave that formed from the area the other scythe struck.
Sora went in and countered with a strike of his Keyblade on the scythe, which didn't seem to do anything to Marluxia. Philia recovered and did the same with the other scythe, noticing it didn't do anything, and they both realized one thing; The scythes took separate damage from the main body. As such, they had to take them out to weaken him.
They went to work on him as Marluxia summoned three flowers in front of his own body, which spun around like a shield. He waved a hand, and one flower turned into an X-shaped energy shot at Sora, who got hit and toppled over. However, Philia had a different attack card ready, using Fire to damage them, but not doing a whole lot of damage compared to the physical attack.
"Let's try this!" Sora shouted, gathering a sleight together, and unleashing Mega Flare, blasting Marluxia with it, creating a devestating explosion that damaged both Marluxia and the scythes. However, it wasn't enough to destroy all of them.
Marluxia then summoned three small buds that surrounded Philia their points directed at her as she saw them spinning about. One shot a beam at her, but she countered with a higher-numbered card, before using consecutive attacks on him. "Sora, I got this! Go after Marluxia!" she called out.
"Right!" Sora answered, before going after Marluxia. He parried a swing of the monster's scythe, and struck it multiple times, before after a good strike, he ended up destroying one of the scythes, which caused it to vanish in a flurry of petals.
"Yes!" Sora cheered, before seeing Marluxia suddenly gather up flower petals above him, before sending them scattering all around the field. Philia finished off two of the bits before seeing the flower petals fall all about. She evaded, only getting stung by some hitting the edges of her body, followed by a blast from the bit hitting her. She tumbled, but regained herself as she turned and unleashed Triangle Magic, blasting it with orbs of the three elemental magic, damaging it to get destroyed.
Sora evaded the flower petals, but was met with another X-shaped wave of energy from a flower Marluxia damaging him. He turned and raced at Marluxia as Philia did the same. The two came together and knocked back Marluxia's next attack, before the pair came together and did a series of attacks on the scythe, completely destroying it. All was left was the main body.
"Perish!" Marluxia shouted, going into a body blow at the pair, who got hit hard by the attack, causing them to be sent backwards. However, they regained themselves, and prepared for his next body blow, which Sora countered, before Philia swung her dagger upwards, striking several times at him, before he knocked her back with another attack he was preparing.
"Sink into the darkness!" He called out, gathering up darkness, before blasting Philia with the move. She landed on the ground, befuddled that she hadn't taken any damage by the move. She looked ready to counter, but suddenly noticed something about the cards she had ready.
"Sora, my cards are black!" she called out.
"What?!" Sora gasped, before hearing Marluxia chuckle, before unleashing a body blow that send her backwards in pain. "Enough!" Sora shouted, unleashing a Strike Raid up at him while in the midst of his body blow, stopping him and making him dazed. He then unleashed a series of strikes at Marluxia while he was down, calling out, "Philia, I'm sure it's only temporary! Let me deal with him until you can see them!"
"Okay. Be careful, or I might get desperate!" Philia called out, backing off.
"Your heart will be scattered into nothing!" Marluxia shouted, summoning up flower petals in preparation to rain down on Sora.
"Denied!" Sora replied, using a higher-numbered card to strike back, using a Cura spell to heal himself and Philia. The two traded blow for blow, trying to take the other out, but Sora was getting the upperhand more times than not.
Finally, after a little bit, Philia noticed her cards were now readable again. "Yes! Time for a comeback!" Philia declared, and she charged in to join Sora.
Without his scythe hands, that limited what Marluxia could do. He did seem to be weak to their physical attacks, but his moves hit really hard. It ranged from tackles with his body, summoning flower from Marluxia's body that shot X-energy waves, unleashing bits that circled and shot beams at the two, to summoning darkness that would encase their cards in black, making them unreadable, and scattering flower petals that rained down onto the field. Fortunately, Marluxia was now acting more of a monster than the well-planned deck player before. He couldn't make any sleights, so it was easy to counter his attacks while dealing damage to him.
"You will fall!" Marluxia shouted, unleashing a new attack, where he vanished into the sky. Philia and Sora looked about, before looking to see him fall like a meteor down towards them. They rolled out of the way as he came crashing down behind them, creating an explosion that spread across the field in front of him. Both Sora and Philia looked behind, seeing the damage that did, and both mentally grateful they didn't go a different direction.
He shot up as Philia drew out a card higher than his attack, stopping him, and making him float back down. Sora and Philia used their Sleights, with Sora unleashing Ragnarok, and Philia unleashing Rising Sun, Philia diving in between the light salvos to strike Marluxia over and over again, causing a lot of damage.
"You hearts will be destroyed!" Marluxia called out, readying to unleash a blossom of flower petals to fall from the sky. However, Sora and Philia each summoned 0 cards to cancel it out, before rushing in and unleashing a simultaneous upward strike that did the final blow to him.
"Your hopes are doomed to the darkness!" he growled as he was pushed back to the edge. He came to a halt, before making the entire battlefield shake and quake, before there was a bright light that consumed all.
Sora and Philia shielded their eyes, but when the light died down, they witnessed something shocking. The monster that Marluxia had become apart of had now grown to such a size, it had become the platform they were standing on. Not only that, but Marluxia, his body back to normal, was surrounded in a dark energy as a figure stood behind them. It was tall and thin, difficult to see whether it was male or female, wearing a robe that reached its ankles, 'hair' that was dark pink and looking more like a face, two sets of wings, one set white and one set black, tendrils coming off of its body like live wires, and wielding a scythe like Marluxia's. The atmosphere also changed about them, looking like empty space with two rings spherically spinning around them.
"Guess he's NOW going all out on us!" Philia growled.
"Then we should stop holding back and unleash all we have!" Sora replied, launching forward with Philia right behind him.
Marluxia smirked as he summoned bits that encircle the pair, now spinning at an angle above them. The two were surprised that he summoned the attack on both of them, but they each used their series of cards to destroy them. However, this gave way for the specter monster to come in and slash the both of them, knocking them back.
Sora recovered quicker as he came in at Marluxia, unleashing Sonic Blade to get in quick and unleashing several strikes with his Keyblade. Philia came in with a Dagger Throw Dagger Skill to do more damage.
"Blow away!" Marluxia shouted, as the Specter flapped its wings, wind and flower petals blowing the two heroes away from him. They dug their feet in, and regained themselves. Once the winds died down, they charged forward.
"You shall be doomed!" Marluxia called out, unleashing a sleight, sending vines flying in the air that flew at the two charging opponents. Sora ducked underneath the attack, but Philia got struck by it, and everything suddenly came to a halt around her. She suddenly noticed a number above her, along with six cards of Marluxia in front of her.
'This feeling...' Philia told herself, 'I know this feeling. Back in Neverland, facing that Phantom. That spell it placed upon us!' She knew that if she didn't clear these cards quick, her life would be at an end. She quickly scrambled up cards, countering each of the six cards, finally free of the energy that almost doomed her.
Philia regained herself as she pursued Sora as he went and unleashed Cloud in a Cross Slash+ sleight, freezing time on Marluxia and unleashing several slashes to deal damage to him. "Sorry for the holdup!" Philia cried out, before unleashing her Tempest to counter Marluxia's next attack, in which he was about to send more rose petals falling. She slashed him four times, before her final attack created a cyclone that did some good damage to Marluxia.
Marluxia sent the pair flying away again with the gale. "The winds will scatter you!" he shouted, before unleashing pink tornadoes that came at Sora and Philia. Sora ended up getting hit by the attack this time around, and all of a sudden, his cards from his deck scattered about. Philia, using a 0 card to counter the attack, saw what happened, and shouted, "Sora, your cards!"
Sora saw them fall all over, panicking. "Get them gathered up. I'll take on Marluxia!" Philia shouted, running ahead. Sora nodded, and raced to the nearest card, gathering them up. Philia gathered up her necessary cards, and shouted, "Soul Burst: Sora!" She summoned up Sora's power to her side, her dagger and Attack cards turned to Keyblade cards. She reloaded her deck, and unleashed a Strike Raid, sending her Keyblade spinning at Marluxia, damaging him.
"The power you exuded now. I see…" Marluxia muttered, looking quite intrigued by the power she was unleashing, almost in a familiar way, "But it won't be enough to protect you from me once I shatter your heart!" He unleashed his creature to take a slash at her, only to counter with a sleight, unleashing the Lethal Frame sleight, freezing his time, and unleashing several slashes, before they came together.
"Nothing's gonna shatter my heart. Not as long as I hold my friends deep within it!" Philia barked.
"Sorry for the wait!" Sora replied, rushing in, "Got all my cards!"
"Good! Cause we're gonna teach Marluxia what really strong hearts can do!" Philia barked, before they went to work again.
Marluxia was far more threatening than before, not just using single card tricks, but sleights, as well. He was using some similar techniques like using bit drones to shoot at them, sending his monster to swing its scythe at them, and unleashing the blossom shower onto them. However, he had new tricks among his attacks, like blowing them clear across the field to give him some distance from them, before unleashing moves like sending vines that, when struck, cause the group to nearly be instantly killed in several seconds, unleashing tornados that blew the cards out of their set, causing them to go and gather them up. He also sent his monster to slam down onto them if he so well pleased if they were gathering their cards and couldn't counter him in time, and his attack would also sent the cards flying away from them. Needless to say, he was threatening, and Sora and Philia had to pull up all the stops to fight back at him.
"The beginning of the end." Marluxia called out, raising his hands up as he summoned multiple bits on the outside of the battlefield, ringing around and pointing directly at the card-gathering Philia and Sora.
"Philia, look out!" Sora called out, and the lasers started to fire down at them. Sora ran and rolled for his life, while Philia snatched any cards nearby before trying to flee the attack. However she ended up getting bombarded by the attack.
"No!" Sora shouted, seeing her getting pelted by the attack, before getting hit by the attack himself. However, he had gathered up a sleight, and used it, which was higher than Marluxia's sleight. It was Trinity Limit, summoning a magic circle as he stabbed his Keyblade into the ground, before unleashing a burst of energy, blasting the whole field with it, and destroying all the bits and damaging Marluxia.
Philia regained herself, but saw Sora get up, glaring at Marluxia. "Philia, Donald, Goofy, Naminé, my memories, Riku... You won't take any of that from me!" Sora shouted.
"You have no say, nor will you ever." Marluxia answered, "I will eliminate any sense of resistance. You will lose all your memories, your heart destroyed. I will recreate it in my own image."
"That won't happen!" Philia retorted, getting next to Sora's side, "As long as I breath, and as long as my heart is bonded to Sora, you will never take anything away from Sora ever again! I vow this!"

The two launched forward, both activating Megaelixir, crossing their hands together as Marluxia attempted to unleash bits on them. However, his attack got blocked when their cards unified, and instantly reloaded their decks.
"Your hearts will be judged!" Marluxia shouted, unleashing more pink tornadoes to strike down the pair and make them lose their cards. However, Philia had a 0 card ready, which was a Cure card, and healed herself as she blocked the attack.
"Sora, go!" Philia shouted.
"Right!" Sora answered, unleashing strike after strike against Marluxia, who took the hits hard.
"Go!" he shouted, causing wings to flap and for Sora and Philia to get sent flying, only for Sora to create a quick sleight, breaking it, and unleashing a Thunder Raid that hit Marluxia.
"You will fall!" Marluxia shouted, as his monster behind him leapt up and dropped down onto the pair.
"Never!" Philia exclaimed, breaking the attack with a sleight, getting in close with a Blizzard Cross, striking him hard.
"Your heart...!" Marluxia started, unleashing a sleight that got broken. He tried again, but it got broke. Twice more, and the same results. 'I don't understand!' he exclaimed mentally, trying to stop the pair, but they kept blocking and damaging him, 'I am the ruler of this castle! I know how the card system works! Why are these two overwhelming me?!' At the last break, which caused his flower petals to be blow back into his face, as he looked petrified and realized something. 'Am I...am I growing afraid?' he wondered, 'I am feeling...fear!'
"It's over!" Sora shouted.
"You're finished!" Philia cried out, the two crossing their cards, creating Trinity Limit, which had transformed into Quartet Limit. Sora and Philia raised their weapons together, the two magic circle they created merging as one, shining brightly with their weapons. The illusions of Donald and Goofy appeared by them as they made roar cries and summoned a giant beam of light above them, which spread out and expanded around the room.
"So this... is the heart of a hero..." Marluxia muttered as he got swallowed by the light, unable to take the hit. His body, along with the rest of the monster they were standing on, started to shake violently as energy left their bodies. Marluxia struggled to hold on, reaching out to Sora in an attempt for one last try to grab him, but he couldn't reach him, as he and Philia stood together, glaring at him. With one last burst of flower petals, Marluxia gave in, and vanished out of his nonexistence. leaving falling petals behind as the two watched him vanish.
(Philia speaking) 'It was later on, that I soon realized that this fight... Was the last fight we would have in our adventures together... As well as the last time we would be together for a very long time...'
