CHAPTER TWO| SHOW ME
MOONLIGHT KISSES ꕥ KEENRY
The weekend was over and the first day of school had rolled around. Tory had decided to wake up at 4 a.m. that morning, deciding that she needed to clear her mind. It didn't work, all she thought about was Robby.
She quickly made sure that her siblings were in school or with a babysitter as she waited on her ride to school.
"Here you go Ms. Katherine I'll make sure to have the money for you tonight."Tory sighed as she handed her youngest brother Noah over to the babysitter.
"No worries hun I love watching little Noah." Ms. Katherine said as she grabbed the little boy from her hands. Tory smiled as she grabbed her bookbag and headed out the door. Aisha pulled up shortly after her exchange with the babysitter. Tory got in the car with a sigh as Aisha looked to her in concern.
"Are you okay?" Aisha asked as she pulled off.
"Huh? Oh yeah, just a rough morning." Tory sighed.
"I told you to stop all that drinking." Aisha chuckled as Tory joined along with her.
"I should have listened."
"Yeah you should have, but that's not the only reason you're sighing. So come on, spill it." Aisha pushed Tory sighed, of course Aisha would catch on to her problem. Aisha was her best friend after all of course she would catch on to how Tory was feeling.
"I almos— well actually I did cheat on Miguel." She sighed as Aisha gasped.
"Why would you do that?"
"The night before the party I had seen a whole bunch of messages he sent to Sam and I just felt so terrible and then he came along and I got swept off my feet but it didn't go farther than kissing and I feel so bad." Tory stressed.
"Don't tell him." Aisha said as Tory gave her a questioning look.
"What?"
"Don't tell Miguel, if you want to stay with him if you love him, don't tell him, you didn't sleep with the other guy, you're not in love with the other guy so don't tell Miguel." Aisha explained as Tory nodded.
"But what if he finds out, he's gonna hate me." Tory wondered as Aisha shook her head.
"He won't, it's not like you're going to see the guy again." Tory nodded, Aisha was right she wasn't in love with Robby and she wasn't actively trying to see him again. The girls had arrived at school as they had run into Miguel and Hawk, who were talking by Miguel's locker.
"Dude why limit yourself to one chick I'm planning on having a full rotation by the end of the first semester." Hawk said amazing Miguel shook his head as his eyes widened at the sight of Tory who was approaching behind Hawk.
"Dude shut up." Miguel said as he hit Hawks shoulder pointing towards Tory who was approaching.
"Hey, do you guys know where studio 26 is? It says my first class of the day is art." Tory asked as she approached the boys with her schedule in hand.
"I'll walk you. My class is near there as well." Miguel hastily offered as he wrapped his arm around Tory's shoulder, as she looked at his hand in confusion.
"Oh okay, Aisha see you at lunch?" She asked as the girl nodded.
"So babe how was your weekend?" Miguel asked as they walked down the hallway.
"It was okay." Tory said as she moved Miguel's hand off her shoulder. "Why are you being so touchy today?"
"Wh—What are you talking about? I'm always touchy." He stuttered as he moved his hand to grab hers only for her to pull back from him.
"What did you do?" She asked as they arrived at her class door.
"What?" Miguel faltered as Tory crossed her arms.
"Most of the time you don't wanna hold my hand, now you have your arm around me calling me babe. What did you do?" Tory elaborated as Miguel looked at her in confusion.
"Nothing, I promise." Tory rolled her eyes and walked into her class not even saying goodbye to Miguel she sat down in the only seat that left and put her head down on the desk.
"Rough morning?" A voice asked.
"You don't know the half of it." Tory chuckled as she lifted her head up finding Robby looking back at her.
"Great." She sighed.
" What?" Robby asked as she looked back at him.
"Why are you talking to me?" The girl asked.
"You just seem like you're having a bad day." Robby said as Tory sighed, running her hand through her curly hair.
"I am."
"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked as she looked at him alarmed.
"Ye—No. Maybe." She whined.
"What's wrong?" He asked her as she looked over at the hallway.
"It's just he's so touchy today, we'll more than he normally is. Like he hates holding my hand so why would he do it. I just feel bad, he's trying and I cheated." She sighed.
"He doesn't hold your hand?" Robby asked, confused.
"That's all you got from that?" Tory sighed as he shook his head.
"No you feel guilty, I heard that but why doesn't he show you affection? You like each other right." Robby shrugged.
"I mean yeah I love him but I don't think he loves me." She sighed.
"Why are you still with him if he doesn't love you." He pressed as she shrugged.
"Because."
"Because?" Robby raised an eyebrow as she watched as Tory began to hug herself and look around defensively.
"Yes. Because I don't have to explain to you." She bellowed as Robby held up his hands.
"Okay."
"You're a good girlfriend, you know that?" Robby said as he rested his elbows in the table staring at her side profile.
"What no I'm not, I'm a terrible girlfriend." She mumbled as Robby shook his head.
"One mistake, but you love him unconditionally even if he doesn't love you." Robby comforted as she shook her head in denial.
"He shouldn't love me."
"And why shouldn't he? If anything you shouldn't love him." Robby rolled his eyes, he had seen it before with his mom, that fact that she was so insecure of herself that she couldn't see the fact that she deserved more, instead of a man that led to her getting drunk and making mistakes she would regret.
"I'm not a good person and he knows it, he deserves a good person." She shrugged he knew what she was saying, he didn't need her he needed Sam. Sam was a good enough person in his eyes and she knew that she could never be enough for him.
"And what do you deserve?" He asked her, now interested in how she valued herself.
"Everything I have now." She vaguely said.
"When's the last time you complimented you? Took you on a date? Or gave you a kiss? Or told you how much he cares for you?" Robby asked as Tory picked at her fingers. "Has he ever asked you how you've felt, what you like? Or did he tell you to curl your hair, and wear pink and purple?"
"He said he thought I would look prettier with curly hair." Tory said as she touched her hair as Robby sighed.
"He shouldn't think that Tory. She should think that you're gorgeous the way you are." He stressed.
Robby's words had hit Tory hard. So hard that she went home half way through the school day. She couldn't stand to be around any of the other Cobra Kai's. She was upset that they hadn't tried to point out Miguel's treatment to her sooner.
"Ms. Katherine, Liam, Noah. I'm home." Tory said as she shrugged off her school bag and looked around the small three bedroom apartment.
Tory shrugged and guessed that Ms. Katherine had taken Noah to the park. So she decided to tidy up, even if she knew the house wasn't going to stay clean, given the fact that she had three siblings all 11 and under but hey at least she'll be able to clear her mind. Some more.
Tory heard the door close as she had just finished cleaning the bathroom. "Ms. Katherine, is that you?" She asked as she walked out of the bathroom and headed towards the front door.
"Yes it's me hun. Aren't you supposed to be in school?" She said as she came in with Noah in her arms.
"I had a bad day and decided to come home early. Is he asleep?" She explained, looking over at Noah who had his head on Ms. Katherine's shoulder.
"Yes, he is, I'll go put him in his bed."
Tory nodded as she watched walk back into the boys room. She headed towards the Kitchen grabbing an old crisco container and pulling out an envelope labeled 'Ms. Katherine". Grabbing the money out of the envelope as Ms. Katherine left the boys room.
"Here Ms. Katherine, this is the money I owe you for watching Noah last month." She said handing the money to Ms. Katherine. Who shook her head and pushed the money towards Tory.
"No hun keep it, use it for the bills or some food." The older lady insisted.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, don't worry about paying me hun. You have way too many worries on your hands already." She said as Tory let out a breath of relief that was slightly one less worry on her hands.
"Thank you."
"Alright hun, I'm leaving, have a good day."
Tory sighed as she flopped down on the sofa, the house was cleaned and Noah was asleep, now she had a little break before she had to worry about dinner for the night. She decided in that break she would take a small nap until the rest of her siblings came home from school.
ꕥ
Her siblings had arrived home from school and Tory had decided to treat them with something other than her leftovers from work. So they had all gone out to the park just by the local skate park and beach.
"Jade-Amber , don't throw mulch at Noah." Torys sighed as she walked over to the two trying to stop them from breaking out into a fight or a breakdown that she would have to deal with which would lead to her nursing one of their cuts.
When she was able to get the first two from fighting she looked over to see her brother Mason who was hanging from the jungle gym and about to put his mouth on it. Tory sighed maybe it was a bad idea to take them to the park.
"Mason, don't put your mouth on the bar you don't know where that's been." She exclaimed as she looked over at Noah who was trying to climb up to the slide.
"Brandon, can you help Noah up the slide?" She asked the oldest of her younger siblings as he nodded and headed over to the young boy. Tory sighed as she looked around the area.
At the skate park she caught a glimpse of Robby who was looking frustrated due to the fact that he couldn't do a trick. "Brandon, can you watch every one really quickly?" She asked as she headed towards the skate park receiving a nod from Tory.
"You know you kinda give off skater vibes." She said as she headed towards Robby. Looking back at the park that wasn't far from where she was.
"How'd you know where I was?" The boy asked her.
"I didn't, I just brought my sibling out here so they could play at the park, and spotted you." She nodded her head towards the park they were at.
"Shouldn't you be watching your siblings then." He said looking over at the park where the four kids were playing.
"I can see them from here but I need something from you." She said as he looked in interest
"And what is that?" He inquired.
"You say you know what a real boyfriend should act like right?" She claimed. As Robby rolled his eyes.
"Yes, what does this have to do with what you wanna ask me?"
"I'm getting there geez, so impatient." Tory chuckled as Robby sighed tucking his skateboard under his arm
"Tory get to the point." He demanded
"If you know so well then show me." She revealed with a shrug while Robby looked at her in confusion.
"What?" He questioned.
"Show me what a good boyfriend is like." Tory continued as Robby raised an eyebrow at her.
