Harry glanced around him. In the Gryfinddor common room, everybody was pleasantly ripping the wrap of their Christmas presents. Everyone, except him.
He turned and looked at the fireplace, the fire burning in his eyes. The sadness and anger he felt was never so intense. Now that he was, the reason was Draco.
Draco Malfoy, the one who had forgot about his pride and ego and went all out to save Harry. Yes, that was the one. However, Harry, after being with Draco for a few months now, felt Draco was returning to his old self. The one with the huge ego, the one who said hurtful things to spite people.
He did that to Harry. It seemed he had pretended - be back in the fifth grade and, being his enemy.
Harry couldn't understand. Watching the flames dance, he thought about all the good times they had. The memories flooded his mind. There were just too many...
The times they had hot chocolate in the warmth of the cosy quarters of the cafe in Diagon Alley.
The times when they were sitting together in the comfortable couch in the library, reading all their favourite novels.
As the images disappeared from his mind, the burning orange flames struck him. He turned. Snuggling more comfortably in his seat, he wished Draco was there to give him some warmth and love. And to heal his broken heart.
What was that? All an act? There was never love between us? Was this his plan? To kick me aside after he's gotten his fun? That jerk! Harry thought to himself, kicking his legs in the air, frustrated.
He had never been played like this before. It just shattered his heart. After all, he had really believed. Believed that he and Draco was a couple, with their love strong. He just couldn't believe this.

In the Slytherin bedroom quarters, Draco was lying in his bed, deep in thought. He didn't want to do that to Harry, but he had no choice.
iI'm sorry Harry.. I really love you.. But I can't carry on this relationship with you../i He closed his eyes and he felt his tears, slowly sliding down his cheeks from the sides of his closed eyes. iYou know my dad... He would kill you if he knew you were with me../i A mental image of Lucius Malfoy casting a spell on Harry came across his mind and Draco shuddered. iNo. I can't let that happen to him.. He would die../i Dismissing the dreadful thought and the growing hatred for his dad, he covered his ears and shut his eyes tightly. He didn't want any images forming in his mind. Not anymore. Because all the images were not memories of him and Harry. They were the memories of his father being a deatheater. And the images were all dark. Surrounded by a dark aura, and there were splashes of blood everywhere.
As Draco blocked out the images, he slowly got tired and, full of worries and a broken heart, he fell asleep eventually.

From above, the Special One saw the scene of two lovers caught in the entanglement of love's web and smiled to himself.
