Hi everyone! It's been a while
I debated about continuing on with Light and Shadows, but I've had these ideas in my head for a couple years now and I would love to get it out there for those who are interested. Unlike Anakin and Analise, there won't be a somewhat regular posting schedule and it could be weeks in between updates. Also pretty much all the characters will act completely out of character. Sorry about that!
Thank you everyone for reading and your support!

Prologue
Today I received a surprise . A message from one of my oldest friends. Ngani is a bit wild for a Jedi, but he is wise and still follows the will of the Force and the path of the Jedi. He just does it in his own way.
Ngani hasn't contacted me in a long time and the content of his message was just as surprising as the message itself. He was asking about bonds. Not the bonds created by both Jedi and Sith for the purposes of education or working together. Those are bonds that can be severed and are meant at their core to be temporary.
Ngani was asking about bonds created solely by the Force. Powerful and permanent bonds that can bring either great joy or great pain. Sometimes they can even bring both.
In my time spent researching the Jedi, the Sith, and the Force; I have learned much about the bonds that we create ourselves. But I am not sure that I am able to help my friend in his quest. Force-created bonds were rare in the old times when they were accepted. There is little factual research about them which has been tainted by the opinions of historians who came before me. What little else there is are legends with no solid proof behind their stories.
What I have found does not paint Force-created bonds in a positive light. Both Jedi and Sith warn against them. Against the attachment that is required of the bonded. Something that as Jedi we are not meant to have. Some writers I came across mention even their disgust that Force-created bonds could occur when only one of the bonded has a strong connection to the Force.
I am a Jedi and I live by the Code. Yet I wonder sometimes as I do my research if we Jedi are missing out on information that could help us better serve because we keep too narrow a focus. Yes, the few writings I have found indicate that Force-created bonds can lead to devastation, but there are also those mentions of the bonded creating positive change, saving lives using the power that being bonded together by and through the Force has given them.
My choice has been made then. While I cannot devote all my time to this research, I will do what I can to help Ngani. But I have to wonder.
What is Ngani's interest?
What is he hiding?
