"Won't be long now," Steve grinned. The jet gave the faintest lurch as it set down on the ground. After a minute, the engines shut down and the back hatch opened so they could leave the jet.

"Whew," Emily sighed as she unbuckled her belt and stood. "Tony, do we have assigned places to stay?" She asked.

Tony unbuckled and stood as well. "Yes. Each room has a little name plaque on it. You can take them down once you find your room." He answered.

Emily watched as Loki stood and grabbed their suitcase. "That's clever."

Tony led them all from the jet. They were on the beach, not overly far from the island's tree line. "We each have our own little cabin." He told them, leading the way.

"That sounds nice," Steve said. "I'm looking forward to seeing everything.

Emily looked over at Loki and watched as he took in their view that they would have for the next week and a half. "What do you think?"

"It is lovely here." Loki said, looking around in every direction. "We should put our suitcase in the room, then check out the beach."

"We can do that. We just have to find which one is ours first," Emily answered as they continued to follow behind Tony.

Loki stopped in front of the first cabin. "I think this one is ours." He said, pointing to the plaque that read:

Emily & Asshat

Emily rolled her eyes and took the plaque off the door. "He's the asshat." She opened the door and smiled at the fully furnished cabin. "This is beautiful."

Loki set the suitcase right inside the door, then walked over and hugged Emily from behind. "Yes, it is."

"This is so exciting," she murmured as she leaned back against his chest, relaxing into his embrace.

"This is our first vacation together as well." Loki pointed out. He groaned when their phones both signaled, they had received a message. Moving one arm, he took his phone from his pocket to see a message from Tony.

Tony: Bonfire on the beach starts just before sunset.

"That sounds fun. Do you want to go or stay in?" Emily asked.

"Would you mind if we go for a bit?" Loki asked Emily.

Emily turned and kissed Loki's cheek. "No, I don't mind. I think it will be a nice time."

"For now, let's relax." Loki suggested, though he was still looking at his phone.

"We can do that." Emily stepped out of Loki's embrace with a smile, then turned to face him only to frown. "Loki?"

"Sorry." Loki said, putting his phone back into his pocket. "I hacked into the tower's surveillance system to check on my fish." He admitted.

"Loki!" Emily admonished. "There was no need for that." She shook her head and smiled. "But it's amazing to see how dedicated you are to them."

Loki looked down, feeling ashamed of himself. "I just wanted to make sure."

Emily quickly took him into her arms. "Don't feel bad Loki. You did nothing wrong."

"You scolded me as if I had." Loki said softly.

"I wasn't scolding you. It just surprises me that you did that," Emily explained. She kissed his cheek then his jaw.

"It sounded like you were. I didn't mess with any of the secret files or anything else. His system is easy to get into." Loki shrugged.

Emily frowned and caressed Loki's cheek. "I'm sorry Loki. I didn't mean for it to come across like that."

"It's alright love." Loki said, wrapping his arms tight around her.

She smiled and sighed softly in his embrace. This feels nice after being tense the past few days. Emily leaned up and kissed the bottom of his jaw. "I love you Loki."

"I love you too darling." Loki said truthfully, then pulled her into a loving kiss.

Emily sighed into the kiss and gripped onto the front of his tunic.

"What would you like to do until the bonfire?" Loki asked once the kiss ended.

"Mmm... I don't know. We could swim... share a shower from the plane ride..." Emily smirked and looked at him with a raised eyebrow as she let her hands trail down then under his shirt.

"A swim sounds nice. Afterwards, we can share that shower." Loki grinned.

Emily smiled softly while she ran her hands along the planes of his stomach. "The pool or the ocean?"

"The ocean, I think." Loki sighed, enjoying the feel of her hands against his skin.

"Sounds perfect. I would say we could go nude, but it's not dark yet," Emily commented.

"I don't want anyone else to see you like that, especially that dumbass." Loki muttered, referring to Tony. "Bathing suits will be fine for the moment."

Emily continued to caress Loki's stomach. "That's alright. I have a green one piece if you'd prefer that to me wearing a two piece."

"In front of everyone else, I think that would be best." Loki admitted.

"I can do that. I think both of us would be more comfortable that way." She stood on her toes so she could reach his lips and gave him a gentle kiss.

Loki pulled Emily into a deeper kiss. "Let's get changed then." He smiled.

"Lets." Emily turned and walked over to their suitcase and picked it up before she turned and carried it to their bed. "This cabin is a lot bigger than I thought it would be," she commented as she opened the case and began looking through it.

"Would they normally be smaller?" Loki asked curiously. "This is Stark's personal island though, so it would make sense that everything is more done up."

"They vary in size," Emily answered as she found Loki's trunks and put them to the side before she continued to look for her suit. "But you're probably right about it being Tony's. He only likes having the best."

Loki took the swim trunks and moved them closer. Grabbing the bottom of his shirt, he pulled it over his head. "It is warmer than I expected."

"The tropics are normally quite warm. The nights are cooler though because of the wind that comes from the ocean," Emily explained.

"I'm looking forward to that. I have ways to regulate my temperature though, so it shouldn't be an issue." Loki assured Emily. He hooked his thumbs into the waistband of his trousers and pushed them down. "Do we wear underwear with the swim shorts?"

Emily turned to face Loki once she'd found her suit, only to look him up and down. "No, we don't," she answered.

"Like what you see?" Loki asked with a grin. He pulled his boxers down, and kicked them aside, along with his pants. Picking up the swim shorts, he bent down to hold them to put his legs through, then he pulled them up.

"I don't think you'll ever get a no as an answer to that question," Emily said. She put her suit on the bed then pulled her own shirt over her head before she unhooked her bra and put both items of clothing on the bed beside her suit.

Loki shamelessly watched Emily. "I can never get enough of your beautiful body."

A blush filled Emily's cheeks as she sat down and took off her shoes before standing to remove her sleep pants and underwear. "I hope you like this suit," she said softly.

"I can't imagine why I wouldn't like it." Loki said truthfully. "Everything looks good when it's on your beautiful body."

Emily smiled and sat down to get her legs through, then stood to pull it up and over her shoulders. "What do you think?"

Loki looked at Emily from head to toe. "You look amazing."

"Do you really think so?" She asked, looking down at herself.

"I know so." Loki answered.

Emily turned in a circle, showing off that the suit kept her back bare. "I'm glad you like it."

"I love it. I'm glad it isn't overly revealing for the others." Loki agreed.

"It reveals just enough," Emily said with a nod. She bent down and removed her socks before standing upright again. "Are you ready?"

Loki nodded. "I am." He stepped closer and took Emily's hand. As he interlocked his fingers with hers, there was a knock on their door.

Emily furrowed her brow. "It's open!" She called but made no move from her spot.

Mary walked in and made her way to the bedroom. She was also wearing a bathing suit. "I wanted to see if you wanted to come swimming?"

"We're actually fixing to go out to the ocean for a swim. Is that where you're going?" Emily asked.

"Yep! I talked Steve into a swim." Mary said happily.

"Talked him into it?" Emily laughed. "How did you manage that?"

"I showed him my swimsuit." Mary grinned.

Emily smirked and shook her finger at Mary. "That'll do it," she laughed. "Shall we all go to the ocean?"

Mary nodded and looped her arm through Emily's arm. "Let's go!"

Emily followed Mary's lead out of the cabin, still holding onto Loki's arm. "Where is Steve waiting?" she asked.

"He's down on the beach already." Mary answered, leading the way. When they came out of the trees and onto the beach, the jet was gone, giving them an unobstructed view of the ocean.

"Now that is a beautiful view," Emily praised with a wide smile. "I'll have to remember to take pictures while we're here."

"I have a camera." Mary told Emily. "You're welcome to use it."

Emily smiled as they all walked in the sand, towards Steve. "I will do that. I think everyone would like photos of our trip."

"Maybe you could do a couple of just Steve and I as well?" Mary asked.

"If you'd like me to. You know I love photography. I haven't done it in a long time," Emily answered.

"It doesn't have to be perfect. It's just so we have a couple pictures from our first trip." Mary said truthfully.

"Either way, I would be very happy to take them." Emily turned and looked at Loki to watch his face while he watched the waves. "What do you think?"

"It looks exciting." Loki answered. "Can we go into the water now?"

"Yes, we can," Emily answered as they reached Steve. "Don't let the current carry you out too far, okay?"

"I won't." Loki promised as he walked out into the lower waves.

Mary walked over to Steve and wrapped her arms around him. "Emily is going to do some pictures for us."

"That's nice of her," Steve said sweetly as he wrapped his arms around her waist and bent down to kiss her. "I'm looking forward to it."

Mary returned his kiss and smiled. "Let's get in the water and get cooled off."

"After you." Steve reluctantly let Mary go and watched her turn and jog into the waves, making him smile. I am a lucky man.

Mary ran up to Emily and pulled her into deeper waves that almost reached their waist. "This is so relaxing!" She giggled, splashing her best friend.

Emily squealed and splashed Mary back. "I'm so going to dunk you!"

"You have to catch me first!" Mary laughed, trying to run through the water.

Mary was quickly thwarted by Steve as he grabbed her around the waist and swung her around with a laugh. "I got you first!"

Mary squealed with shock and delight. "Don't let her dunk me!" She giggled. Before Steve could reply, his feet were swept out from under him as the figure of Loki shimmed into view behind them, causing both Mary and Steve to fall in the water.

"Loki!" Steve hollered then laughed as he rubbed his hand down his face to get the water from his eyes.

Mary sat up in the shallow water and shook the water from her face. "Using magic isn't fair!" She laughed.

"That was never established as a rule." Loki chuckled.

Emily laughed as she ran over to Loki before she splashed him with water. "He's right, you know!" She teased.

"You only agree because you love him." Mary teased.

"So!" Emily countered. She bent down to splash water onto Steve and Mary.

Loki chuckled, but Steve reached out and grabbed his leg, pulling him right off of his feet, landing him on his back in the water.

"Are you okay?" Emily asked, trying her best not to laugh.

Loki coughed a little water out of his mouth, then laughed. "Yes, I'm fine."

"Good," Emily said, then moved towards the beach until she could sit in the water. "This is so amazing."

Loki moved over and sat with Emily. "It is quite nice." He agreed.

"I'm glad you like it." Emily leaned her head against Loki's shoulder.

"It is peaceful here and the fresh air is incredible." Loki said truthfully as he wrapped an arm around Emily.

"I agree. It's nice to get away from the smog of the city," she replied.

"I'm just glad to be outside again. I hate being stuck in the tower all the time." Loki sighed.

Emily frowned. "I know. It's just hard to get out when it's so cold. That's why I jumped on this opportunity when Tony mentioned it."

"I wasn't saying that as a complaint darling. I know you don't handle the cold well." Loki clarified.

"I know you didn't. But I'm still glad I jumped at coming here," Emily smiled.

"I am as well. I was hesitant when the idea was first mentioned, but I'm glad we came." Loki said truthfully.

Emily grinned. "I am too. How long do you want to stay here in the water?"

"How long can we stay in the water?" Loki asked.

"There's no time limit, but it would be kind of cold after the sun goes down."

"We can get ready for the bonfire, then maybe try monopoly again?" Loki suggested.

"Maybe... if they don't end up wrapped up in bed," Emily answered and pointed out that Mary and Steve were kissing pretty heavily a bit away from them.

Loki looked over and teasingly rolled his eyes. "Don't get too carried away, we have a board game tonight." He called out to them. While they didn't break the kiss, Steve gave a thumbs up.

Emily laughed and leaned back onto her elbows. "I wonder if that will be forgotten or not."

"It better not be." Loki chuckled. "Should we leave them here in the water?"

"Either that or tell them to get a room. I think Steve's gonna go for her top soon," she giggled.

"Let's just go get ready. If this is where they want to screw around, we shouldn't stop them." Loki shrugged.

Emily stood and offered Loki her hand. "They might give everyone a show though," she smirked.

Loki took Emily's hand and stood up. "We can warn the others to avoid the area for right now."

"I can send a group text." Emily led Loki out of the ocean and back towards their cabin. I wonder what happened to my affectionate fiancé?

When they entered the cabin, Loki wrapped his arms around Emily and kissed her softly. "I love you."

Emily smiled and felt herself blush. "I love you too."

"Here's what I'm thinking. Tomorrow evening, we take the entire evening just for us. No bonfire, no games. Just the two of us." Loki suggested.

"You mean that? We haven't had that in a long time it seems," Emily replied.

"Of course I mean it. I think it's great to spend time with everyone, but I want time with just you as well." Loki said truthfully.

Emily turned to face him and reached to wrap her arms around his neck. "I'd love some alone time with you. My fiancé."

"We will have a couple nights for only us while we are here." Loki promised.

"I would really like that," she murmured while she played with the hair at the nape of his neck. "I've missed our closeness the past few days."

"I have as well. It is nice to be around the others, but we need a good balance." Loki said truthfully.

Emily nodded. "I'm sorry for getting frustrated the other day... I should have handled things a bit differently."

"It's not your fault. I could have handled it differently as well." Loki countered.

She stood on her toes to press a soft kiss to his lips. "We need to talk things out before acting rashly. Okay?"

"Agreed." Loki replied. He pulled Emily into a loving kiss. "We will get through it together."

"Always," she murmured in return.

"Do you want to go to the bonfire tonight?" Loki asked, not wanting her to feel obligated.

"I don't mind to go. Are you wanting to go?" She asked.

"I wouldn't mind going, but only if it's alright with you." Loki said truthfully.

Emily smiled. "We can go. I think it'll be fun."

"Alright, we will go then." Loki agreed. "What do we wear to a bonfire?"

"Nothing special. A shirt and shorts will be plenty," she answered.

"That sounds good." Loki said happily.

"What do you want to do until then? We were talking about a shower before."

"Yes, a shower would be nice. The salt water is itchy as it dries." Loki admitted.

"Do you want to share one?" Emily asked.

"I've never liked showering alone." Loki grinned.

Emily raised an eyebrow as she slid her hands down his chest to take one hand before she turned and led him into the large bathroom.

Loki gladly followed Emily into the bathroom. "I've been wanting to take this suit off of you since you put it on." He grinned.

"Oh, really now?" Emily giggled.

"Do you doubt it?" Loki chuckled.

Emily put her finger up to her chin, feigning she was thinking about it. "I don't know."

"You're right, it's hard to decide if I want to see you nude." Loki said, playing along.

"Well, I'm not a perfect model," Emily said as she looked down at herself.

"Darling, what's wrong? You have never been like this around me before." Loki said, trying to think back and see if he said something wrong.

Emily frowned. "I don't mean to be Loki." She caressed the back of his hand and moved to turn on the taps to the shower.

"Have I said something wrong to make you feel that way?" Loki asked, still concerned.

"It's just left-over feelings from the other night. I don't mean to dwell on it. I might be cycling. That would explain the up and down mood," she said softly.

"I truly didn't mean to upset you darling. I don't know how to fix it though." Loki sadly admitted.

Emily let go of Loki's hand to wrap her arms around his waist. "Just being here with me and loving me helps," she answered. Slowly, she ran her hands up and down his bare back, feeling the heat in his skin from the sun.

Loki wrapped his arms tight around Emily, holding her close. "It's clearly not enough though."

"Baby, it is enough. Knowing I will be marrying you and building a future together with you elates me," Emily said softly. "I'm just hormonal I guess."

"Is there any way to help the hormones?" Loki asked. "I don't know much about healing."

"Just support, love, that's it." Emily grasped his shoulders so she could reach his lips and kiss him softly. I just hope you're not pulling away from me.

Loki deepened the kiss. "I can do that." He promised, forgetting all about their running shower.

Emily gently bit his bottom lip. "Wanna help me out of this?"

"I would love to." Loki leaned in and kissed along Emily's shoulder, pulling the suit strap aside as he went.

"Your lips feel like satin," Emily sighed as her eyes fell closed.

Loki moved to her other shoulder, copying the same actions. He caressed her arms as he slid the suit down slowly, to admire every bit of newly exposed skin.

Emily smiled and reveled in his touch. "I love your touch Loki."

"I love everything about you darling." Loki said softly.

Emily placed an opened mouthed kiss to his chest. "Care to list them?" She asked playfully.

"You are caring, loving, accepting, strong, smart, open minded, and so beautiful. You were willing to look past what everyone else saw and gave me a chance." Loki replied.

"I would do it all over again," Emily replied with unshed tears in her eyes.

"I am only alive right now because you saw someone worth saving." Loki admitted.

Emily reached up to run her hand through his hair. "I believe you saved me just as much."

"I still don't see how. You had your life together already." Loki pointed out.

"Loki, I am a woman who failed medical school, but got a job working for Tony Stark because he liked my talent with computers and what medical knowledge I have. You got me out of a rut, and I couldn't thank you enough," she said quietly.

"I don't see it as failed. It just wasn't the right path for you." Loki shrugged.

"You're the one that led me in the right direction, love. I can assure you that."

"I still say you helped me more than I helped you." Loki said truthfully.

Emily sighed and pecked his lips softly. "We've helped each other in many ways."

"I can agree to that. I love you so much and I couldn't spend my life with anyone else." Loki confessed.

"Me either. I don't think anything, or anyone could part us." She stepped back to slide the rest of her swimsuit from her body, then turned to adjust the taps to the shower, wanting to keep the water warm.

Loki gently ran his hands down her sides. "Nothing ever will darling, I promise you."

Emily put her hands overtop Loki's and smiled. "Are you ready to get in the shower? Before the hot water is gone?"

"I pretty much forgot about the shower." Loki chuckled. "Yes, let's get in."

She laughed and turned to put her hands on his hips while she stole a kiss from him to distract him from her pushing his trunks down.

Loki deepened the kiss and ran his tongue along her lips to ask for entrance. He wanted to explore her and better taste her sweetness.

Emily sighed softly and granted his tongue entrance into her mouth with a soft moan. She tightened her grip on Loki's hips as she distantly heard the sound of his trunks hitting the tile floor.

Loki slowly ended the kiss and smiled sweetly at Emily. "After you darling." He said, indicating the shower.

"Wanting to stare?" She teased, then turned and stepped into the large glass walled shower.

"I think admire is a better word." Loki said with a smile.

Emily grabbed a loofah that hung on the wall before she turned and looked at Loki with a soft smile, her eyes gazing at his strongly built body. "Are you planning on joining me?"

"Yeah, I was still just admiring." Loki chuckled then stepped into the shower behind Emily.

Emily grabbed for the soap and poured it on the loofa then sat it aside so she could lather up the fluffy fabric ball. Then she turned and faced Loki and ran it down his chest, lathering his body with soap. "I like to admire you too," she said softly.

Loki watched as Emily ran the loofa down his chest, but he stopped when he caught sight of the scar that ran across his side and onto his abdomen. "Even though I have scars?"

"Yes," Emily answered as she dropped to one knee so she could lather up his thighs, legs, and lastly, his groin. "We all have scars, whether they're able to be seen or not. I love you even if you have a lot of them."

"I think I have far more that can't be seen." Loki admitted. He continued to watch her with a loving gaze.

While holding the loofa, Emily stood back up, but made sure to run her body against his with a small smirk on her face. "They're a part of you, and I am here for all of you."

Loki hooked his finger under Emily's chin and lifted so he could press a gentle kiss to her lips. "I love you."

"I love you too sweetheart," Emily answered softly. She brought the loofa upward and lathered his neck and shoulders before she pecked his lips again.

Loki returned her kiss. "Do you want to do my back?"

"I can if you'd like me to," she replied.

"I wouldn't mind." Loki answered and turned around.

Emily kissed the back of Loki's shoulder and added a little more soap to the loofa before she lathered from his neck to the middle of his back, taking her time to run along every plane of muscle. Then she dropped back down to one knee and washed from his legs to his hips and left his ass and between his legs for last. "How is that?"

"It feels good. I love when you scrub my back." Loki admitted. "Are you finished? I will wash you when you are done."

"I am," Emily answered. "What should we do after our shower?"

"How long will we have before the bonfire?" Loki asked Emily. They switched places so he could rinse off then took the loofa and added more soap. After lathering it up, he started washing her shoulders.

"A while. A bonfire doesn't happen until it's almost dark. I assume food will be provided too," she answered.

"We could go for a walk on the beach if you want, or explore the area?" Loki suggested.

She smiled up at him. "If you want to, we can. It would be romantic to walk along the beach together," Emily said sweetly.

"That is what we will do then." Loki said happily. He knelt down to wash down Emily's stomach and her lower body.

Emily watched him and let her eyes close at the feeling of him rubbing the loofa against her skin. "I love little things like this," she murmured.

"The small moments are the ones that usually mean the most." Loki said softly as he washed her legs.

"Yes, they are," she agreed as she ran her hands through his wet hair.

Loki moved to gently wash between her legs, then he stood. "Turn around so I can get your back."

Emily nodded and turned to face away from Loki and put one hand on the tile to hold her balance on the slippery flooring. Ever since I mentioned having children, he's been closed off in the weirdest way. How do I fix it? Can I fix it?

"What's on your mind darling?" Loki asked as he scrubbed her back. He knelt down again and washed the back of her legs and her backside.

"Nothing for you to worry about," Emily assured. "How did you know I was thinking about something?"

"I can tell from your body language. It's the same way that I can tell that it's not nothing." Loki said truthfully as he stood again. He set the loofa aside and took the shampoo bottle, pouring a small amount onto his palm. "Wet your hair darling."

Emily turned and bent backwards under the spray of water, rinsing her body and wetting her hair at the same time. "You know me better than I do sometimes."

"It bothers me when you aren't comfortable enough to talk to me." Loki said truthfully.

"I just don't want to upset you," Emily answered quietly. She turned back around and faced away from Loki again, so he could wash her hair. "It's a sensitive subject and I don't want to push it."

Loki worked the shampoo into her hair and massaged her scalp while lathering it. Afterwards, he leaned forward and kissed her shoulder. "Even if it is upsetting to me, it does not change that you can talk to me about anything darling. Not everything in life is happy."

Emily sighed softly but smiled at his words. "Ever since I mentioned our future and the possibility of children... you've become reserved with your intimacy. Did I do something wrong?"

Loki sighed softly but wrapped his arms around Emily and held her. "No, you didn't do anything wrong, and I didn't realize I was acting differently." He said truthfully.

"You've been affectionate, but you've lost that... spark you had," she told him. Emily turned to kiss his cheek. "I'm not angry, but I'm wondering if you're okay."

"I think I am. What spark?" Loki asked, genuinely confused.

"The... ugh, I don't know the word I'm searching for. It's almost like you shut off a part of yourself."

"I truly didn't realize I had." Loki said truthfully.

Emily turned and rinsed her hair out. "I'll put it to you this way. When I say I eventually want to have a family with you, how do you feel?"

Loki raised his hand and rubbed the back of his neck. "I wish we could, but there are things about me that make it impossible."

"You're closing yourself from me again," she said quietly as she watched different emotions cross his face. "You know you can tell me anything, right?"

"I know that I can, I just don't know how to talk about this particular subject." Loki sighed. "Here is what I can do. When we return home, I will ask mother for some advice, then we will sit down and have this discussion. Is that agreeable?"

Emily looked up at him with hopeful eyes and smiled. "Yes, it is. I will agree to that."

"Thank you darling." Loki said, feeling relieved. He leaned in and kissed Emily softly.

She slowly returned the kiss as she brought her hands up his chest. "You're welcome, Loki."

"Will we be alright until then?" Loki asked softly.

"I believe we will," Emily answered. "Every couple has bumps, and we'll work through it together. I just want you to be happy and healthy."

"I am happy and healthy darling, I promise." Loki said truthfully.

Emily cupped his face in her hands and brought him down to her for a slow, lingering kiss. "That's what matters."

"I have the most amazing woman in all the realms. Life is perfect." Loki said softly, keeping his lips close to hers.

She beamed up at Loki and ran her hands through his wet hair. "I have the most amazing man."

"Let's rinse your hair now?" Loki suggested.

"Sure," Emily chuckled.

Loki helped Emily rinse her hair. "I think we are nearly out of hot water."

"I can go ahead and get out," she told him as she turned to him again. "You wash your hair really quick and I'll get dressed."

"Don't go far." Loki said as he grabbed the shampoo and put some on his hand. He quickly lathered it into his hair.

"I won't." Emily got out of the shower and grabbed a towel to dry off before she walked out into the bedroom and to their suitcase.

Loki quickly washed and rinsed his hair, then turned the water off and stepped out of the shower. He walked into the bedroom without a towel as he used his magic to dry himself. "Would it be too early for sweats?"

Emily turned to face Loki and couldn't help but bite her bottom lip. Tease. "I'm not sure honestly. I don't know if it will feel sticky outside."

"I will wear shorts then." Loki agreed. "Can you grab a pair for me?"

"Yes, I can." Emily turned back to the suitcase and began going through it. Two can play at this game. She smiled to herself as she let the towel that was wrapped around her fall to the floor once she found a pair of shorts and held them up. "These?"

Loki found himself shamelessly staring at Emily. "Huh? Oh, yeah, those are fine." He finally answered.

Emily turned to face Loki only to see him staring with his mouth open. "Honey, you're going to trap flies," she teased.

"I can't help it. You are standing there being stunning." Loki chuckled.

"You think I'm stunning?" She asked softly. "I'm not wearing anything to be that stunning."

"It isn't about what you wear darling. It's who you are." Loki replied.

Emily felt herself blush as she held the shorts in front of her waist. "That's sweet Loki. I don't think anyone has ever told me that."

"Then they are blind fools. You are stunning inside and out." Loki assured her.

She bit her bottom lip and looked down at the carpeted floor. "I don't know what to say to that."

"You don't have to say anything as long as you know that I speak the truth." Loki answered.

Emily walked up to him and rested her forehead on his chest. "There are some days I'm not so sure, but your words help me more than you know."

"There are days you aren't sure I'm being truthful with you?" Loki asked, confused.

"No," she chuckled, then looked up at him. "There are days when I don't feel so stunning," she clarified.

"I have yet to see you less than stunning." Loki assured her.

Emily smiled and gently kissed his chest. "Thank you, Loki."

"I'm just speaking the truth." Loki smiled, wrapping his arms around her.

"Mmm." Emily trailed her lips along his chest and smiled up at him. "If we stay nude much longer, I might be tempted to do something about it."

"We do have time before the bonfire." Loki smirked.

Emily raised an eyebrow at him. "Feeling frisky all of a sudden?"

"I do recall you being the one who mentioned our nudeness." Loki teased.

"I might have, but you forget that I can feel you stiffening against my stomach," she told him.

"That is just my reaction to the heat you are giving off." Loki smirked.

"The heat I'm giving off?" Emily questioned.

"I can feel your growing warmth down there." Loki answered.

Emily flushed. "Only because I can feel you."

"There is no shame in being aroused." Loki grinned.

"No, there's not," Emily agreed. She moved her hands from his forearms, to wrap around his waist and slowly run them up and down his back.

"That feels nice." Loki said before he used one hand to gently grip her chin and kiss her passionately, molding his lips to hers, making her sigh softly.

Emily melted against Loki, instantly thankful that he was holding onto her, keeping her upright. I will never get over how good he kisses.

Loki smiled as the kiss ended. He kept his arms tight around Emily, not ready to let her go. "I love you so much."

"I love you too. I cannot wait to marry you," she answered honestly while she ran her hands downward to rest on his ass.

"I am hopeful we will be granted permission to wed on Asgard." Loki said truthfully.

Emily grinned at the thought as she massaged the muscles of his ass and upper thighs. "I bet it would be absolutely stunning. I can only imagine how everything would look all decorated."

"I could show you how it looks." Loki offered.

"You can if you would like to," Emily said. She slowly pulled away from him and turned to grab her robe that sat on their bed, where she'd put it before their shower. If we're not going to do anything, there's no need to stay naked. I need to get dressed soon anyway for the bonfire.

Loki frowned as he watched Emily. I messed up again. "What have I done wrong?" He softly asked, feeling bad.

"Nothing Loki, it's alright," Emily assured. She walked up to him and stood on her toes to gently peck his lips. "Can I dry my hair before you show me Asgard?"

"Of course. But it was only an offer. If you don't want to see, that's also fine." Loki said, not sure if that was where he had messed up.

Emily reached up to caress the side of his face with a soft smile, then turned and walked into the bathroom and began opening drawers until she found the hairdryer in one and plugged it in. I must be out of touch. Have I ever instigated something between us? Or has it always been Loki? Her mind swarmed with ideas and theories as she plugged in the hair dryer and grabbed for her brush before she turned the device on.

Loki walked over to their bags and found a pair of boxers. He quickly dressed himself then sat on the end of the bed to wait for Emily. Should I have not mentioned the wedding? Was I being too distant again?

The whur of the hair dryer filled the bathroom, ceasing Emily's current thoughts as she focused on drying her hair, hoping that it would have some natural waves in it when she finished. She turned it off after a little while, then brushed her hair one last time then sat her brush down before she walked back into the main room. "Loki are you okay?" she asked, once she noticed the look on his face.

"I'm still just trying to figure out where I went wrong earlier." Loki admitted truthfully. .

"I'm sorry Loki. It was my fault, not yours." Emily walked over to him and sat beside him on the edge of the bed. "I thought I was sending clear signals, apparently I wasn't."

"Clear signals about what?" Loki asked curiously.

Emily blushed and looked down at the floor. "I'm feeling... aroused a bit more than usual right now. It happens around the time of my period."

"There's nothing wrong with that. I just didn't realize... you were acting more affectionate than aroused. Or, that's how it came across to me." Loki explained.

"I'm sorry. We can try things out later if you'd like to," Emily said softly.

"You don't need to apologize darling. I just wanted you to know what happened." Loki told her.

Emily shrugged with a frown. "I just feel bad that I've been giving you mixed signals."

"Don't feel bad darling. We will figure it out, alright?" Loki assured Emily. .

"Okay. I just wonder why we're suddenly having this issue. We didn't before." Emily let herself flop backwards on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

"Could it have something to do with your cycle approaching?" Loki asked curiously.

"It could be possible." Emily looked down at Loki to see he was still sitting on the edge of the bed. "It hasn't happened before though."

"Could there be something different about this cycle? Or perhaps an influence from the holiday?" Loki asked, trying to be helpful.

"My cycles have always been the same or close to the same for years." Emily grumbled to herself and ran her hands over her face. "Do you feel anything different since we had that argument?" She asked.

"I feel like I just keep messing up. I don't mean to, but there's still a lot that I don't understand about this realm. It makes me nervous about trying other things." Loki answered.

Emily sat up on her elbows and looked at Loki with confusion. "Loki, you can speak to me about anything, and I will answer any questions you have. I'm a very open person. There aren't many women who will talk about their periods to their partner."

"I wasn't talking about that. I meant after the disagreements; I'm scared to mess up again." Loki explained.

"Baby, things happen. Disagreements always happen in relationships," she said softly. "If you stay scared, you'll never move forward."

"I don't want to lose you." Loki said truthfully.

Emily fully sat up and took both of Loki's hands in hers, making him turn to face her. "Loki, I'm not going anywhere. Do you feel the ring you put on my left hand? That links me to you just as much as my heart links to yours. I love you more than I have loved anyone in my life."

Loki leaned forward and gave Emily a loving kiss. "You are my entire world and the love of my life. I want to give you the best life I can."

"You do that every day," she murmured. "Relationships are never easy. Everyone has their hardships. But I wouldn't want to do this with anyone but you."

"I couldn't do this with anyone else either. You're the one I want to spend my life with." Loki said . He squeezed Emily's hands, feeling her squeeze back in return.

"Do you feel a bit better now?" She asked softly. "I feel like you've had a dark cloud over your head the past few days."

Loki nodded. "I do feel better."

Emily smiled and let go of one of his hands to cup his cheek. "Good." She leant forward and kissed him slowly before she pulled away. "I don't like seeing you so worked up."

"I don't like feeling so worked up either." Loki leaned forward for another kiss. "I love you so much."

"I love you too," she murmured against his lips while her thumb caressed his jaw, feeling just a bit of stubble. "Mmm you'll need to shave soon."

"You don't want me growing a beard?" Loki teased.

Emily smiled as she continued to caress his skin. "I don't know how you would look with one."

Loki grinned as he shifted his appearance to include a fair length beard, similar to his brother's. "I would look like this." "

Her eyes widened as she slowly ran her hand along the facial hair that had appeared. "I'm not quite sure I would like this," she chuckled.

"It's alright, I don't care for it either." Loki chuckled and shifted his appearance back.

Emily laughed and ran both hands gently along his face and neck. "This is a lot better."

"I will shave later tonight and remove the stubble." Loki chuckled.

"It's not all bad. The scruff can be used in different ways," she teased.

"Indeed, but it can also chafe your skin if you aren't careful." Loki pointed out with a grin.

Emily smirked. "But sometimes it's worth it."

"Yes, it is. I can keep the scruff a bit longer if you like." Loki offered.

"Maybe not all the time, but I wouldn't be opposed," Emily said softly.

"I can shift my appearance at any time to have it." Loki added.

Emily smiled and leaned forward to kiss Loki softly. "Do you want to get dressed and still go to the bonfire?"

Loki smiled into the kiss. "Yes, I would like that."

"Let's get ready then. It looks like the sun is starting to go down." Emily stole another kiss from Loki then stood and began looking through the suitcase again.

Loki smiled as he watched Emily. I'm so damn lucky to have her. "You should wear something extra cute."

"Like what?" Emily asked happily. "I didn't bring anything really dressy."

"I packed that green sundress. If it won't be too chilly, that would be cute." Loki suggested.

Emily smirked as she found it. "It shouldn't be, but I can bring my flannel with me if it gets that way."

"I can also warm you up." Loki reminded Emily.

"I forget you can do that sometimes," she commented as she walked back over to the bed. "Should I wear underwear?" She teased.

"Definitely not." Loki answered with a grin.

Emily raised an eyebrow at him but put the dress on the bed before removing her robe and then slipped the green dress over her head before smoothing it out. "Planning something?"

"Maybe. You'll have to wait and find out." Loki smirked.

"Well then, you better get dressed," Emily replied.

Loki nodded and walked over to their bags and picked out a pair of beach shorts and pulled them on. "Alright, I'm ready."

Emily smiled. "Are you staying shirtless?"

"I was going to. Is that alright?" Loki asked curiously.

She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around Loki's neck, making sure that the fabric of her dress rubbed against him. "I don't mind."

Loki wrapped his arms tight around Emily holding her close. "It's just warm out there."

"I'm okay with you being shirtless Loki. There's nothing wrong with it."

"I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't bother you for me to be shirtless around the others." Loki explained.

Emily smiled. "That's sweet of you. It doesn't bother me babe."

"If it ever should, please just tell me." Loki replied.

"I will darling, I promise," she assured him.

"Thank you." Loki said with a smile. "Are you ready?" He asked, holding his hand out while giving her a cute bow. smile.

Emily took his offered hand and squeezed it gently. "Whenever you are." Loki kissed the back of Emily's hand, then walked out of the cabin with her.
