I made this story in about 15 minutes. I haven't even revised it or anything so you're getting straight product here. It's very short but I intend to make it longer and probably add some details here and there. But this is the beginning and only the tip of the iceberg…I think. So enjoy and PLEASE leave me a comment when you're done.
A chill wind pushed and pulled at his orange hair as he tucked his arms around himself a little tighter and snuggled his chin further into the dark blue, long-necksweater that he was wearing, causing it to cover his mouth up to his nose. His knees were pulled close to his crossed arms as he lay atop the roof of Shigure's home.
The sky was a pale slate gray, just the color of Yuki's hair, completely unblemished by clouds or sun. The air was slightly wet and it kept everything darkened with moisture constantly. Everything looked sad and misplaced. Even himself on the rooftop, in the same area as always, seemed like it wasn't quite right. But he didn't mind. Today was perfect day to stay indoors or sulk outside. So far he was having a time somewhat enjoying the latter.
This was a perfect day to contemplate, rest, and forget who you are and what you're supposed to be doing. Time seemed to stop because the sky never changed, no one wanted to move, and it wasn't worth it to break the feeling. It was quiet except for the leaves blowing by and the wind whispering so softly in his ears. Wisps of orange hair whisked back and forth in front of his flame colored eyes and he moved each of his fingers to make sure they were still there.
He heard her before she even made it to the bottom of the ladder leading to the roof. Her footfalls on each rung of the ladder were loud to his ears, which were, by now, accustomed to the quiet whisper of the wind. Her jacket rustled as he grabbed up for each rung. He just so happened to be facing the top of the ladder and watched as it moved as the girl climbed. Soon she was to the top, someone who would disturb this sort of peace.
"Kyo-san?" She was looking right at him with those big innocent eyes with a smile placed on her lips. He could only see her from the shoulders up. He just stared at her, no need to respond, she knew she had his attention.
"I- I'm going to go shopping with my friends and I might not be back until late." She paused to see if he would respond. She should know better. "Shigure went to research his next novel so I made you and Yuki some lunch and supper. All you have to do is warm it up a little. I-" She stopped again with a nervous look on her face. She said "you and Yuki", was it possible that Yuki was turning down a chance to spend some alone time and shop with his girl. Kyo wanted to choke yet his orange eyes just stared into hers without faltering. He wanted to say something that would sting, make those innocent eyes look away but he decided against it, he would stay silent this time.
"I wanted to know if you wanted me to get anything…" Then she waited, expecting an answer. All she got was a blank stare and the sound of the wind in her ears. Her eyes fell a little bit. "Well, I guess I'll be back later. Sayonara, Kyo-san." She looked down at her feet as she started to descend the ladder. Kyo watched her go and listened as he heard her shoes touch the grass. The footfalls receded into the forest and then she was gone.
"Sayonara, Tohru-chan." Kyo said softly to himself. The sweater he was wearing covered his mouth up to his nose to keep warm. A breeze blew and ruffled his hair in his eyes again. "You took something from me…" But had he ever had it? No. Probably not.
Yuki's love had always been for Tohru and only Tohru…
Alright, thank you very much for reading and PLEASE leave a comment before you leave. It means a lot to me!
