Curs of the wolf
Chapter 4: Threat is her
I'm back sorry I haven't uploaded anything in a while but I've been busy with university and work but this chapter is longer so I hope you like it. I will try to write longer chapters but it will take more time so I will update once a month.
In the one of tallest skyscraper in Tokyo belonging to the hero commission.
The president of the hero public safety commission a middle-age woman with ash blonde hair that is slicked back. She was wearing a black suit jacket and dress along with a purple skirt and a necklace.
She was looking out the window with turqoise colord eyes and stoical and steely expression on her face.
The president was waiting for the heros she summoned to gather in the conference room.
In five minutes conference room door was opened and four people and a mouse-like creature with white fur entered. They sat down on the chairs at the round table and watched the ash blonde woman wanting to know why they were summond.
Suddenly a sturdily-built man with a very muscular physique. He has short crimson hair which he wears spiked up around his head and sharp turquoise eyes. His beard and mustache appear to be made of fire, but when he voluntarily turns off the flames on his face, a small amount stubble shows around his jaw. His hero costume is comprised of a tight, navy turquoise bodysuit, with lines of flames streaming across his chest, upper torso, arms, and most prominently his shoulders. He uses his flames as a makeshift mask around his eyes, and the tall boots he wears appear to be either made of fire themselves or constantly lift alight, as only their soles and laces are visible around the flames. He sports white bracers on his lower arms, styled in a cage pattern, and a blue belt with a pouch attached on either side.
He asked with an even and calm tone ''Why are we here?''
The president looked at the man and answered.
''Endeavor have you heard the news about a serial killer who has been on the rapage for the past seven years?''
''Tch... Yes he is a lunatic who kills at nights douring full moon but no one can find him the police and heroes only find his crime scenes and the victims he butchered no one even knows what that monster looks like, the only thing we know is that he commits twelve murders in one prefecture and moves on.''
''Correct but last night he was found by two heros in the crime scene.'' When she went silent but suddenly.
''Wait, but the media reported that there were only six incidents in each prefecture, not twelve.'' suddenly a man in an armor and with engine exhausts protruding from his elbows as a result of his quirk said.
''Becus we covered it up''said the president.
''Kof...kof... So what happend?'' asked an eldarly-looking man with a long white beard, bald head and pale orang eyes with black sclera. His hero costume is a full set of japanese armor with a red cape wrapped around his torso. His helmet notably has one large horn pointing upwards. Trying to get the conversation back on track.
''One of them was Death Arms he was killed in the fight and the other Crust died from his wounds in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.''
''Poor things they were in the prime of there lifes.''
''Yes Yoroi Musha they were still young heros with a lot of potential, but because of their sacrifice we now know how that psychopath looks like.''
''Do we have camera footage? Has anyone filmed this with a phone?''asked the tired looking man with black long hair, with a gray scarf around his neck. He stared at the woman and asked through gritted teeth.
''The security cameras near the building where the fight took place captured the villain in action.''said the president.
''So again why not let media release the video so civilians know how he looks like?''asked a man in armor.
''Becus of this Ingenium''she said and turned on the TV screen on a wall.''
It started to play a video it showed an alleyway with four dead civilians and Death Arms standing in front of a creature that could be seen in an old horror movie.
It was a creature he was towering ower Death Arms he was two meter tall man but that thing was taller at lest three meter tall, with white fur it looked like standard werewolf you can see in a horror movie his eyes were crimson and it had sharp claws and fangs.
The beast took the hits from Death Arms and not even flinched then he moved to fast before the hero could react and swiped his claws at the hero and toor open his stomach, chest and when the beast dug his claws in the heros chin and ripped of Death Arms head whit one swipe.
Death Arms lifeless body fell to the ground covered in blood. Then the beast ripped out his heart and ate it.
And then from an alleyway a stone-like hexagon-shaped shield flew staight at the beast, but the shield shattered into tiny pieces on inpact.
Then the beast turned to the direction the shield came from he looked at the hero who attacked him and before anyone could react the beast instantly appeared at the side of the hero and tore off his arm. And then the beast grabbed the hero by the head and slammed him to the ground then grabbed crust by the leg and threw him into the wall of a nearby building, but beforethe beast could finish him off he surrounded himself with several layers of ston shields. The beast was approaching the stone cocoon but before he could tear apart the beast heard a sound off sirens, and then beast pulled away from the cocoon and stood on all fowrs and transformed into a huge wolf and he fled the scene of the crime faster than anyone could manege to react he was gone.
And with that the video was over, with all the heros analyzing what they just saw.
Than a stout man who appears to be a possible combination of several different animals, including a dog, a mouse, and a bear, which would make him a chimera. He has the head of a mouse whit circular black eyes, a large scar over the right one, relatively rectangular-shaped ears with pale pink insides slanting outwards from the top of his head, and an elongated muzzle with a small round nose. His fur is white and has large, dog-like paws with pink pads and a thin tail like that of a cat. He sports a white dress shirt, a dark red tie around his neck, a black double-breasted waistcoat and matching dress pants. He wears orange lace-up sneakers with incredibly thick soles which seem to be quite large on him. Cleared his throat and asked.
''How many victims in total are we looking at?''asked Ingenium.
''During these seven years we had eighty-four incidents and three hundred and sixty-eight victims. Did that answer your question Ingenium?''said Nezu.
''Me and Eraser Head been working on this case fore five years now.''said Nezu.
He looked at the president with his black eyes and said.
''According to what we gathered and from the police reports the beast makes twelfth attacks in each prefecture and then moves on to another prefecture and this incident was the twelfh in Fukushima prefecture. Also you want me to find the pattern and find out which prefecture the beast will appear in, and to make a plan to stop that villain, and for the heros here they all have large agencies and have many sidekicks to look for a villain. I'm right?''
''Yes Nezu.'' said the president.
''Firstly I already figured it out the pattern of that villain and in which prefecture he will appear but I can't find out the exact location in the prefecture.''
''Secondly me and Eraser Head. We have already contacted several pro hero agencies like Wild, wild Pussycats; Ms. Joke and Water Hose to help us.''
''So where he will appear?''asked Endeavor looking at Nezu.
Nezu looked at the map and pointed with his finger to one location on the map. ''There the villain will appear in Niigata prefecture.''
''How can you be so sure that he will be there?''asked Endeavor.
''Because look at the attack locations in each prefecture when you connec them all of them form a spiral and at which point the spiral ends pointing to another prefecture and then the killing starts there?''explained Nezu.
''But I still don't understand why we do not alert the media? It would vorne the civilians.''said Ingenium.
''No and there are several serious reasons why we can't do it.''
''And what are they?''Ingenium asked in frustration.
''~sigh~ First media don't now about all the murders. Second it would panic among civilians. Third it would lead to mistrust whit heros. Should I continue to name more reasons why?''said the president.
Ingenium got quiet and sat down.''Okay I get it''he said.
And with that they began to create patrol routs and a plan of how to deal with the beast and how to capture it if the beast behaved in its usual killing manner they had a month to prepare.
In the aforementioned prefecture the group of friends were currently going home from school.
''So Midoriya you are really going to sign up for yet another style of martial art?''asked Shoji.
''Yes why?''
''Dude how many dos it make?''Yoarashi followed up with yet another question.
Midoriya thought for a second and started naming different martial arts and counting on his fingers.
''Boxing, Kuta Livre, Defendo, Kung Fu, Capoeira, Qwan Ki Do. Six and now I'm going to start takeing Jujutsu classes, making it seven.''said Izuku with a hapy tone.
''Dude you never relax.''
''Hmm... what do you mean Yoarashi-kun?''
''How should I put it... its like you always push yourself over your limit no matter you do.''
''I have to. I don't have a quirk so I have to push past my limits even more.''said Izuku with determined look on his face.
''~sigh~ give up guys it is impossible to make him relax.''said Yanagi.
''I don't know about that'' said Shoji looking at Yanagi and then at Midoriya.
''What?'' Yanagi said with a light blush on her cheeks.
''Okay guys I'm going this way'' Midoriya said pointing at his lift. ''I have to go its my first day at the dojo and I don't want to be late.''
''Okay then by Midoriya see you tomorrow'' said Shoji.
Midoriya separated from the group of friends and walked to the dojo.
Meanwhile the trio of friends went to the bus station.
''So Yanagi-chan are you going to aske Midoriya-kun on a date?''asked the bald boy with a teasing smirk on his face.
''W-What... are you t-tooking about?''she asket flustered.
''You well now what Yoarashi-kun is tooking about you Midoriya in the way as more then a friend.''Shoji said.
Yanagi went silent and looked to the two boys.
''~sigh~ Fine yes I like him, but how can I confess to him? He is always working so hard I don't want to get in his way of his dream.'' She said with an upset expression on her face.
''So what are you afraid of Yanagi-chan?''asked Shoji.
''I... I'm afraid of what he will think about me either I will be a distraction taking up the time he could spend training. And if he reject my feelings and if it will ruin our friendship I-...''Yanagi trailed of.
''~sigh~ Yanagi-chan sometimes you are one of the smartest people I know, but times like this makes you one of the stupidest.''
Yanagi looked at Shoji confused.
''Yanagi-chan do you really think Midoriya-kun would reject you? He literally protects you like a diamond in a vault from those from those idiots who still trying to make fun of you at school.'' said Shoji.
''B-But... I-I don't even know how to confess to him, where would be good place and time?
''~sigh~ The summer break will start next month and summer festival will happen at the beginning of it. Why not confess then?'' suggested Shoji.
''O-Okay... Okay I'll do it'' said Yanagi in determind voice.
Then the group of friends continued there journy.
Meanwhile Midoriya was standing in front of a building with a sign on it in big letters written ( DRAGON FIST )
He entered the building and went to the reception desk.
''Good afternoon I'm Midoriya Izuku I signed up for judo lessons.''
The receptionist looked at the student list and found his name.
''Okay I found your registration go to the end of the hall and turn left.'' Receptionist gave Midoriya directions.
He went the way that receptionist said, he reached a large gym from which sounds of fighting and runing treadmills and training could be heared.
He entered the gym and saw a tall muscular man watching over two students sparring.
Midoriya walked closer to a tall man and watched the sparring match. He analyzed how the moves of the two fighters.
After a couple of minutes the sparring match was finished.
The tall, muscular man with short spiky black hair and a single bang hanging over the right side of his forehead. He noticed the boy with fluffy dark-green hair and the same green color eyes and toned muscular build.
''Ho are you boy?'' the muscular man asked the green-hair boy.
''I'm Midoriya Izuku and I recently signed up for judo lessons and today my first day here.'' He ansurred.
''Okay I'm Tanaka Hiraku and this is my dojo. Now follow me kid I will show you around the dojo.''
After Tanaka showed Midoriya around the dojo. He asked Midoriya a question he had heard many times.
''Midoriya what is your quirk?''
''~sigh~ I'm quirkless Tanaka-sensei.'' Izuku said with a dry tone of voice. He always got this question just as he was starting at a new dojo.
''I see'' Tanaka said looking at Midoriya and thinking about something.
''Okay Midoriya go to the locker room and change'' He gave Midoriya a white gi and a white belt.
When Izuku finished changing he walked to the dojo. Midoriya already knew what to expect in each dojo every single one of dojo masters prepared some kind of test, usually it was a sparring match against there best students.
And it semms that this time it will be the same as he approached his new sensei who was standing in front of the judo mat and standing next to him was a girl probably the same age as him she was of medium height and has a slim build. She has teal eyes and long orange hair that she was wearing tied into a high ponytail on the left side of her head. Her bangs are split into three clumps around her eyes, and some of her hair sticks up in large tufts at the top of her head.
''This is Kendo Itsuka my best student.'' Tanaka introduced.
''And this Midoriya Izuku the newbie.'' He pointed at Izuku.
''I want to see how much you improved Kendo and at on what kind of level are you on Izuku.'' They both nodded there heads and walked on judo mat.
''I want to see a nice clean match no hits below the best.''
Both of them nodded and then they bowed to each other and took there fighting stances.
Kendo made the first move she rushed Izuku whit a blow from the right hand then left it became a blure of punches.
Midoriya evaded every one of Kendos attacks and then he left himself open to lure her in to a trap. When her fist approached Midoriyas face it started to increase in size. But Izuku bent under her fist and sweeped her legs making her to lose her balance, and she face planted on the judo mat.
She rolled on her back and wanted to stand up and continue the sparring match but as she turned around she saw Izuku with his hand stretched out to help her up and his bright smile she didn't understand why he tried to help her up but as she looked at the ground and saw that she was off the mat Kendo realized that she lost.
Kendo took his outstretched hand and stood up on the ground.
''Thanks Midoriya-kun'' she said standing up.
''You're welcome Kendo-san.'' he said with a bright smile.
''Okay now I can see what kind of fighter you are Midoriya and on what you need to improve Kendo.'' said Tanaka.
Both kids nodded.
''Now get to your fighting stances.''
Both kids took there fighting stances and started to sparr again under the guidance of Tanaka after the training wasover four a day.
Both kids walked out the dojo a started walking to the bus station.
''So... did you have any martial arts training before?'' Kendo asked him not knowing how to star a conversation.
Izuku looked at Kendo and nodded his head to say yes.
''Have you practiced for a long time?''
''Since I was five.'' He replied.
''O that cool. So do you have any hobbies different from martial arts?''
Midoriya looked at her with a raised eyebrow.''~sigh~ Why do you want to know about me?'' He asked.
''~sigh~ It was the first time I couldn't win a single sparring match against you.''
''So you want to know about me so you can beat me, but how knowing my hobbies would help you in beating me?''
''I d-don't want to beat you what badly. I just wanted to make friends with you.''
''So that's why you following me to the bus station?''
''Amm... I'am not following you, I just live nearby the bus station.'' She said with a blush on her face.
''Okay... when how about you tell me a bit about yourself Kendo-san''
''What do you want to now?'' She asked.
''Do you have any hobbies or likes?'' He asked with a smile on his face.
She considered it and sight ''Well I like motorcycles I think they are cool.'' Kendo looked at him expecting he would call her a delinquent, but instead of that.
''It's reminds me of a hero named Ghost Rider and Wolverine they both have cool motorcycles.''
He took out his smartphone from his pocket and started searching through his photo gallery and found the photos of heros with their motorcycles and showed them to Kendo.
Izuku shared his interests about heros with Kendo.
During the next month Izuku spending time with his friends, studying at school and after school training with Kendo and spending time with Reiko on weekends whaching movies and walking around a nearby park. But one thing did not give hime peace, because through ether Niigata prefecture the number of patrolling heroes tripled it meant something was wrong.
But the summer vacation has already started and the summer festival will take place tonight. He invited his friends but Shoji and Yoarashi could not come and he wanted to introduce them to Kendo only Yanagi was coming to the festival.
Izuku was waiting next to the entrance to the festival after some time he seen orange hair girl with an orange kimono and tied with a light green sash.
''Hey Kendo-chan... y-you look v-very nice.'' Izuku complimented Kendo.
''Thank you too look nice.'' Kendo said to Izuku was wearing black jeans, dark green t-shirt, red sneakers and a black leather jacket.
''So should we go?'' Kendo asked.
''Not yet'' Midoriya said ''We still have to wait for one of my friends to show up, I wanted to introduce you to my friends but two of them couldn't come.''
''O...O... I-It's okay.'' said Kendo but in her mind she thought when Izuku asked her to go with him to the festival she thought it was a date, but he just wanted to introduce her to his friends.
After a couple of minutes Kendo saw a pale-skinned girl of average height. She has chin-length, pale gray hair parted on her right, which obscures the majoority of the left side of her face. She has dark bags under her blue eyes, and a small mouth with full lips. Her hands were held up as high as her elbows with her hands draped down, this gesture being somewhat connotative of a ghost. She was wearing a pale purple, kne-length kimono with a black sash.
Izuku invited the pale-skinned girl to join him and Kendo.
''Hello there Rei-chan'' Izuku greeted Yanagi.
`Rei-chan he calls her by a nickname!` Kendo screamed in her mind looking at the ghost girl.
''This is Yanagi Reiko and this is Kendo Itsuka.'' Izuku introduced the two girls to one other.
''Nice to meet you Yanagi-san.'' Itsuka greeted the girl with a forced smile.
''Nice to meet you to Kendo-san.'' Said Reiko.
In Reikos mind she panicked `How can I tell him how I feel about him with her around.`
Meanwhile Itsuka was also panicking `Is she his friend or is she his girlfriend no... no... no... Izuku never said he had a girlfriend but maybe she liks him to. So what do I do now?`
After some time Kendo realized she got a crush on Izuku he was the first person except her father which didn't think she was a delinquent for liking motorcycles and found it cool.
The trio walked around the festival for a few hours having fun. Two girls exchanged glances with each other when Izuku wasen't looking.
''Girls I'll excuse myself for a minute I need to go to the restroom.'' Izuku said.
''Okay we will wait her.'' Said Kendo.
''So... Kendo what do you think about Izuku-kun.'' Asked Reiko.
''What do you mean Izuku-kun is very cool even without a quirk he is really strong back at the dojo almost nobody can't beat him the only one ho can beat him is Tanaka-sensei.''
''Aha... but I meant to ask do you like Izuku-kun in a romantic way.''
''Am... I-I yes I like Izuku-kun in that way.'' Kendo said with a red face.
''So do you-'' Kendo was cut off by the screams caming from the other side of the festival grounds.
The two looked at the way screams came from and saw a two people with a red vests and white shoulder pads, gloves and black pants with a diver's helmets. They were thrown into a nearby takoyaki shop.
From the darknes a couple of crimson red eyes was approaching the pair of heros ho were lying on a destroyed shop. And from that darkness a wolf like beast standing on two legs covered in white fur and sharp claws and fangs.
After Izuku left the restroom he found chaos panicking people, shops destroyed and a wolf like villain rampaging through the festival killing people and two heros trying to stop the villain.
Izuku started looking around for his friends trying to find them in a the chaos finally he saw Kendos orange hair in the crowd of scared and panicking people next to her Yanagi both girls frozen with fear.
Midoriya looked in the same direction they were looking and he felt his stomach fall into the pit.
He saw a wolf like monstres villain approaching his friends with the dead hero's head in his hand he stared at the two girls ho were trieing to protect the wounded heroine.
Izuku rushed to his friends and stood in front of the villain to protect his friends he took his fighting stance.
''You two take her and run!'' Izuku told to his friends pointing at the heroine.
''Wait, what are you going to do if we leave you?'' asked Yanagi with a frightened face expression.
It was the first time he saw Yanagi scared.
''Don't be afraid, everything will be fine, I'll hold him off until more heroes appear.'' He said with a nervous smile.
The beast attacked Midoriya be swiping his claws, but Izuku avoided the attack and tried to deal a blow to the villain gut. But the beast didn't even react and sent Izuku flying into on of the festival stalls with one hit.
Izuku slowly rose to his feet he felt something warm started to run over his forehead.
''Izuku are you okay!'' Yanagi shouted.
''Get out of here!'' shouted Izuku.
The beast turned to the girls rushed at them.
Izuku picked up one the broken metal bar from the stall and threw it like a javelin at the beast. The villain looked at Izuku and rushed at him.
Izuku picked up another metal bar and rushed at the villain.
While the villain was distracted the two girls picked up the injured heroine and fled the combat area.
The beast launched him self at Izuku swiping his claws Izuku tried to stab the villain in a shoulder with a metal bar.
Izuku avoided claws of the beast but he didn't avoid his fangs they sunk in to Izuku's shoulder.
'' AAAAHHHH!'' Izuku cried out in pain, but he grited his teeth and stabed the villain in the shoulder with a metal bar.
''RAAAHHH!'' The beast howled in pain and let go of Izuku.
Izuku jumped away the beast.
They both looked at each other and rushed each other again.
Beast clowed and tried to tear Izuku to pieces.
Izuku aveided all attacks from the beast and tried to counter attack but not even punches and kicks did nothing.
Izuku's vision began to blur from blood loss.
The villain growled at Izuku and got ready to attack. But before he could a fireball stoped the monster.
Izuku and a beast looked at the direction the fireball came from.
''Get out of the way boy I'll handle this villain'' said a man with a fire beard.
'' En-dea-vor...'' said Izuku before losing consciousness.
