Part 50
Caitlin smiled as she answered her phone. The ringtone told her who it was without even looking. After her memory had been restored from before crisis she had switched Barry's ringtone to "Summer Lovin" from Grease. She never told him but she did remember that night at the bar when he was so sweet and took care of her when she had been a drunk mess.
"Hey Barry."
"Hey honey, are you still with your parents?"
"No. I am heading back now. But I did get some answers. Let's just say that my father has kept more than one secret from Charlie and me. It seems that there is a super villian in my family tree."
"You aren't kidding are you?"
"No Uncle Jay was nearly killed by my dad's brother."
"Well that seems to be a trend. Supergirl's Aunt and Uncle tried to take over the world. Thea's bio dad tried to destroy part of the city."
"Don't forget that Kate Kane's twin is a crazy killer."
"Well you can't really blame the woman. She was held prisoner for year by a psycho who drove her crazy and abused her, and her own father gave her up for dead."
"True too bad that event is most likely a fixed point like your mom's death so that the Legends can't go back and stop it."
"True and I learned my lesson last time and am not going to go back and try to change it."
"Good to know that you did learn something from that."
"Yeah but with this do-over at least Cisco's brother is alive. Even if Donta is kind of an ass."
"True. I should get off the phone. I will see you when I get home. I love you Barry."
"Love you Cait."
Caitlin hung up the phone and was about to get in her car when she felt someone grab her at super speed. The next thing that she knew was that she was tied to a chair in a warehouse. She had to choke down the nausea she felt.
"Looking a little green there Dr. Snow." said the cold version of a voice she knew too well.
"That can happen pizza face when you are taken at super speed without warning."
"Yet I had never met a version of you that got motion sickness before. But then again this is the first earth in the multiverse that you have a twin sister that is an ice queen. On every other one if a member of the Snow family had ice powers it was you."
"Well infinite earth's infinite possibilities."
"Savitar, do you want me to send a message to the Flash?" asked Death Watch
"Yes, do it. I want my doppelganger to know that I have his wife and will kill her if he and the other speedsters don't turn themselves over to me." said Savitar
"You are going to kill them aren't you?" asked Caitlin
"Yes of course I am. I want to be the only speedster in the multiverse." said Savitar
"You won't win. The Flash and others will stop you."
"I haven't been stopped on any of the two dozen other earths I have been to yet. Besides I know how Barry Allen thinks. I am Barry Allen after all. Don't you recognize the face of the man that you love?"
"Sorry but the face of the man I love does not look like an extra crispy thin crust pizza."
"You have been spending too much time with Cisco Ramon."
"I might have heard him say something like that once. But you also have to deal with my sister who is not going to be happy that you have taken her sister."
"I don't think that I have to worry about your sister. I know how to stop an ice queen. In fact I killed a couple ice queen versions of you that thought themselves to be heroes."
"You don't know my sister, and you don't know my Barry. By the way, want to tell me why you ended up this way?"
"Simple, my dad went to prison for killing my dad when I was a kid. Only I had no one to take me in like your Barry did. I went through foster care and was abused in more than one. Much like here there was a particle accelerator explosion and I got super speed. Met an ice cold version of you that had no one who gave a shit about her after her dad died. So we teamed up and went after everyone that wronged us wreacking terror on our earth. Including killing her bitch of a mother." said Barry
"I still love my mom even if she wasn't the best mom. No matter what, I would never kill her."
"Yeah well you are not the same person as she was."
"Was?"
"My Caitlin is dead. I was the only one that could call her anything other than Killer Frost at that point. But that doesn't matter."
"How did she die?"
"Supergirl locked her in a freezer. She needed to absorb body heat to live. We worked because as a speedster I generate more heat than normal people. Firestorm was the only one that had more heat than a speedster. But I am sure you already know that."
"Of course I know that. I am not stupid."
"I know that I haven't met Caitlin Snow that is. But that doesn't mean that there isn't one out there somewhere in the multiverse."
"Savitar, the Flash wants to meet to discuss the terms of the deal." said Death Watch
"One hour Central City Plaza." said Savitar
Barry stared at the computer screen with the message from Savitar. He could not believe that he had taken Caitlin.
"I will kill him before he has a chance to kill my sister." said Charlie
"I don't think that is his plan. He wants to be the only speedster. So he is planning to kill Wally, Jesse, Jay and me." said Barry
"Well I am not going to let that happen either. As much as a lovey dovey Caity bugs the hell out of me. A moppy depressed one is a bigger pain in the ass to deal with. Back on the old earth when I only lived in her head it was horrible to be trapped there while she was depressed over Ronnie's death both times. But the first was the worst. She most likely will never say anything about it. But if Thawne while pretending to be Harrison Wells hadn't called her to take care of you she might have taken her own life." said Charlie
Barry turned to look at his sister in law and realized that she was confirming something that he had been too scared to ask Caitlin about.
"Charlie, when Cait said before crisis about having given up on just about everything and my coming into her life saved it. She was being littoral wasn't she?" asked Barry
"Yes. I was buried too deep to save her. Unlike when Abracadabra blew up the lab and Julian released me to save her life. I joined Savitar back then because I was pissed off at being locked away. If I had been given a chance I never would have turned on all of you."
"We know that now. I am sorry I didn't help Cait learn to accept you."
"Yeah well you were blinded by the fact that you were in love with that pain in the ass had to be in charge reporter."
"Well she doesn't even know about any of this, so she won't be doing that this time."
"Good because if you hurt Caity I just might have to stab you again."
"I will let you. Now we need a plan to stop Savitar and get Cait back."
