Chapter 134 Twisting Fight

Danny, Maddie, and Clockwork continued deeper and deeper into the labyrinth stopping every now and then to let Clockwork consult the journal to plan their next move to make. It was a fairly quiet journey and Danny decided to break the silence.
"So if we didn't have the journal could we use the Force to navigate the labyrinth?" Asked Danny.
"We could, but to extensively use the Force at a constant pace to scan for traps would take a toll on us. The journal is helping us conserve energy. When we reach the box I want us to be in the best shape we can be incase our enemies manage to make it to the box as well." Said Clockwork.
"Makes sense to me." Said Danny as they continued on.
Further back, Vlad, Wraith, Freakshow, and the squad of Stormtroopers were making their own way through the labyrinth. Vlad would use the Force to scan for traps and once he figured out which way was safe, he would lead the way. They were making fair progress, but the rest of the group could see that Vlad was getting tired. Vlad's pace was slowing a little and every now and then he would stop for a little break and drink some water. Wraith wanted to help her master and she used her own Force abilities to try and locate Phantom, but his mental defenses were up, so it was impossible to find him. Wraith asked Vlad if she could use her Force abilities to help search for traps, but Vlad told her to save her energy. After another little break the group continued on.
In another part of the labyrinth Dark Laser and his troops were moving along. Dark Laser was using his Force abilities to locate the two other groups and secretly tail them as well as scout out labyrinth for traps. Every now and then Dark Laser would order a stop and then he would use his lightsaber to cut a hole through one of the walls or have his men use explosives to blast a hole in it to get to another path. Dark Laser told his forces that they were taking a shortcut to get ahead of the competition. He didn't care how ancient the labyrinth was, he only cared about getting the box.
Danny, Maddie, and Clockwork were entering a large chamber with some statues of warriors in it and only one path leading forward.
"So what's the deal?" Asked Danny.
"We're close to the box, but I'm afraid we have to face some traps to get to it." Said Clockwork.
"Figures." Said Danny.
A wall close by suddenly exploded and out came Dark Laser and his troops.
"Who is that?" Asked Maddie as both she and Danny ignited their lightsabers.
"Laser." Said Clockwork with a scowl.
"It's Dark Laser now." Said Dark Laser.
"I know what you are after and shall not have the ring and the crown. I suggest you leave." Said Clockwork.
"As if I would ever listen to an old fool like you. This is my destiny and none shall stand in my way from claiming it! I will finish what we started in that factory all those years ago!" Said Dark Laser as he ignited a red lightsaber.
"So be it." Said Clockwork as he ignited his lightsaber.
Clockwork and Dark Laser rushed at each other and began to exchange blows with their lightsabers. Dark Laser's troops turned their attention towards Danny and Maddie and began firing lasers at them. Danny and Maddie deflected the blasts at the walls and the troopers.
"So I take it the young man is the famous Phantom I've been hearing about. I must say I'm impressed. He has a good deal of potential. Enough to make a fine apprentice." Said Dark Laser as he struck at Clockwork.
"Phantom will never join you or the Dark Side." Said Clockwork as he blocked Dark Laser's attack.
"We will see. You won't always be around to guide him." Said Dark Laser as he and Clockwork circled each other.
It was then that Vlad and his forces arrived on the scene. Freakshow pulled out a blaster and he and the Stormtroopers began to fire at Dark Laser's troops. Vlad ignited his lightsaber and fought his way to Maddie as Wraith ignited her own lightsaber and fought her way to Danny.
"Hello agin." Said Vlad as his lightsaber met Maddie's lightsaber.
"Vlad." Said Maddie with a scowl.
"I see that great minds think alike, so I'm just going to cut to the chase. Join me Maddie and together with Phantom and Wraith by our sides we can retrieve the ring and crown and create a new galactic era! Think about, we would be the masters of our destiny." Said Vlad.
"I would never join up with the likes of you." Said Maddie as she knocked Vlad with a Force push.
"Oh you'll see things my way." Said Vlad as he lunged at Maddie and their lightsabers clashed.
Danny and Wraith's lightsabers meet and the two of them just stared at each other.
"Phantom." Said Wraith.
"Wraith." Said Danny.
Before any more words could be exchanged there was a loud grinding sound that made everyone turn to the path leading to the box. A massive wall was closing down on the entrance! Danny and Wraith happened to be the closest ones to it, so they stopped fighting and raced towards it, using the Force to give themselves an extra push to slide beneath the door before it closed a few seconds later. Danny and Wraith were now cutoff from everyone else and now faced the final challenges of the labyrinth!
