"Even if I don't have a Quirk, Can I become a hero?... Can someone without a Quirk become a hero like you?"

"Without a quirk?..."

"It might have been because I don't have a Quirk, but I am always made fun of... Maybe that's why... I don't know... But I think saving people is super cool. Saving people with a fearless smile. I want to be the greatest hero, like you."

"Save people with a smile huh... I smile to show the pressure of being a hero, and to trick the fear inside of me. Pros risk their lives nearly every time there is trouble. So I can not simply say 'You can become a hero without any power'. It's not a bad dream young man, but you have to put some thought into what's more realistic."

(...)

"Jeez, there's a limit to how rash you can be, kid!... There was absolutely no need for you to put yourself in danger like that."

"I'm sorry... But if I didn't do anything then Kacchan would have..."

"Listen, I know you wanted to save your friend, but you have to consider your own well being... Especially when you're Quirkless. Put yourself in my shoes, in any other situation I as a pro now have to worry about two lives and a villain who wants to snuff one of them if not both out. If All Might wasn't here, think of what could have happened."

(...)

"I never asked for help, you didn't need to help me, and you didn't. Got that?! I was fine by myself. You're a Quirkless nobody playing without a full deck, Don't think you can look down on me! Are you trying to make me owe you?! Don't look down on me! You damn fucking nerd!"

"Same old Kacchan, but it's just like he said. It's not like I accomplished anything, or changed anything. But, I am glad... Now I can think about a more realistic dream."

"I AM HERE!"

"I AM HERE, I AM HERE, I AM HERE!"

Izuku got up from his sleep, returning the seat to its upright position. He was currently on a flight to the hero tech hub I-Island as the number one hero's plus one to visit one of All Might's close friends and former support David Shields. Izuku was excited about meeting one of the leaders in a field that he had just gotten into a little under a year ago. The prospect of just speaking to a man who created hero costumes, and support gear for his hero growing up had Izuku boiling over with giddiness. To think of what he could learn, what wisdom the man had to offer that could help him improve his own support gear or even help the support class at least get a better Idea on what he needed without giving too much away. At least that was on his mind until the last couple seconds. The dream he was having and All might wake him up from it really soured his mood. "Coping my old alarm clock I see Toshinori-san. I guess since you woke me up it means we are almost there."

Reacting All Might just smiled and pointed out the window of his private plane. After a few blinks Izuku nearly hopped out of his seat next to All Might's Almost pressing his face against the glass of the window. "Calm down, young man." the older gentleman said deflating into his non-muscular form. "I know it's a sight to see, but save that excitement for when we land, I am sure the person who made arrangements for us would love to show you around." The amused man spoke, watching his excited successor.

How could Izuku not. I-Island was the living embodiment of two of his passions in life, now that he got a taste of creating support items, and he was on track to becoming a hero as a member of Japan's best hero course in its historical top class. Even stepping foot on this man made Island was a wet dream for someone like him. When All Might got invited to host an award ceremony and made arrangements to meet with David, Izuku knew he had to come no matter what, even if he had to force his way out of the hospital and be away from the final days of his hero mentorship. "How can I not, it's not everyday that I have an opportunity to experience something like this." That's when he noticed the older man was in his hero costume. Pointing it out, Izuku spoke again. "Why are you in your hero costume? Isn't it safer for you to not be All Might?" The Boy questioned.

All Might being who he is let out a hearty laugh reassuring Izuku of his intent. "You don't have to worry about that young man, you have to have special authorization to be on the island. I doubt there will be any trouble considering there are going to be many heroes from around the world, besides you might be a bigger attraction then I am."

Izuku looked at Toshinori confused. "What do you mean?"

"I am not the one who has a video on the net being credited as helping Endeavour take down the hero killer, not to mention your efforts in the UA sports festival and both your hero mentor and the hero killer himself endorsing you as a true hero." Toshinori said nonchalantly. "You should get into your hero costume as well young man."

Izuku blinked at Toshinori for a few seconds before getting up from his seat. "Thank you for making me more nervous than I already was." he began, his thoughts jumbled up in his mind. Taking the Hero's advice he went to the bathroom taking his carry on with him. His hero costume was a skin-tight sleeveless black leotard with a green variation on All Might's silver age symbol on the lightly armoured chest. He wore shin and knee pads under black knee-high socks, and he had his favorite shoes modified by a member of the support course to be better equipped to handle the force of his kicks. The last of his costume was a functionless utility belt that he had personally designed, padded white gloves that the right one seamlessly went into a black sleeve, and a matte black LED half face mask hanging from his neck.

"I didn't think I would be stopped for so long..." The now buffed up Toshinori commented as Izuku was out of breath behind him. As soon as they entered the island a tour guide recognised the number one hero and both were surrounded by fans of All Might. Much to the relief of the boy none of the people that constantly approached All Might seem to recognise him which was a plus in the boy's book. Toshinori however was in his own world, feeling that he had messed up. "I'm afraid that we are going to be in trouble, if this keeps up... And we are late."

"I told you this could be bad." Izuku said, straightening up. The two of them were supposed to meet the daughter of David in the park located near the airport. She had been the one to make arrangements for the pair in part to surprise her father.

"Oh, young Izuku, can you keep the whole One for All business between us or that I have passed it on to you." Toshinori said Conspiratorially, as the two arrived at the destination.

"You say that as if you don't have a built-in excuse for why I am here, Toshinori-san." Izuku retorted jokingly. "Or is it that the great All Might is too afraid to let a close friend know that he is seeing someone." Izuku finished getting a laugh from Toshinori. Of course he knew why he was asked to keep it a secret, all of the training, The battles he had to fight, and the lying he had to do to keep the origins of his quirk from his mother and new friends were not going to be for nothing. Sighing, Izuku reassured the number one hero. "Don't worry, I have been keeping it to myself for almost a year, there is no way I'm letting it slip now, but If it comes up I am leaving you to explain why you haven't told anyone about the engagement to my mother yet, Toshi."

A cold sweat formed on the face of Toshinori as he thought it over. "You have been hanging around young Jiro way too much, I am starting to think she is a bad influence on you." His statement was met with a shrug from the young man.

After a few minutes of waiting an excited voice came from the distance. "There you are, Uncle Might! Finally." A girl right about Izuku's age appeared hopping into Toshinori's arms wrapping hers around his neck.

Toshinori laughed as he returned the embrace. "Ah Melissa, long time no see. It's good to see you." he responded, lifting her over his head.

"It feels like it's been forever since the last time you were here, Uncle Might!" Melissa said happily, as she was being put on the ground. "I can't believe you are actually here!"

Their conversation went on for a few moments with Izuku watching from behind Toshinori with a small smile on his face. "Oh, Where might David be hiding?" Toshinori brought up his old friend and gave the opportunity to interject himself without worrying about overstepping.

Giggling Melissa pointed out a building in the distance before explaining further. "He should be still at his lab. He has made a breakthrough on some research he has been working on for a couple of years now. Actually he still has no idea you are here yet."

"Oh, is that so? Can you give me an idea on what he is working on nowadays?"

"He says that it is confidential, he won't even tell me what it is that has taken up his time." Melissa said with a pout.

"Scientists and their secrets." Toshinori said, only now noticing that Izuku had a slight frown on his face looking anxious. "Oh, right, this is young Izuku Midoriya, one of my students at UA."

Lifting his hand for a hand shake with a slight blush, Izuku introduced himself. "It's a pleasure, I am Izuku Midoriya, as To-All Might says I am a hero in training in one of his classes at UA." After recent events he has gotten used to communicating with girls his age, even calling some of them his friends. This was something that he had trouble with as he was bullied and had no real friends for most of his life. His thoughts were interrupted by the girl rolling down the sleeve on his outstretched arm revealing a series of scars from his bicep all the way down to his wrist.

Melissa could and helped but examine the boy's scars when she spotted one peeking out from his sleeve. Several of them appear to be surgical scars compared to how cleanly they were made and their placements in relation to the others. Her mind began to wonder, if the boy had a similar quirk to All Might then these could be signs of the backlash that could be had with a quirk as strong as his. He's a hero in training so this could be from a villain, but to appear as they do that can't be right. After some thought she decided she needed more information before anything else.

"Uh. Hello?"

Realizing what she just did Melissa readjusted his sleeve before shaking his hand and apologising her face a bright red. "Uhh... I am sorry... Right, it's a pleasure to meet you too. I am Melissa... Shields that is." She said, embarrassed.

"Don't worry about it, you are not the first person to want to look at them." He said with a gentle smile. "Normally they would ask if it's okay first. Not that I mind."

"Again, I am so sorry..."

"No really. It's fine." He said, trying to reassure the girl. After a few more apologies the smile on her face returned much to Izuku's relief.

"Why don't you two follow me, I think dad is going to be surprised to see you, don't you say Uncle Might." She said taking off in the direction of the building she pointed out. Leaving Toshinori and Izuku to follow.
