Author's Note: This wasn't the next story I had in mind for Jason and Kellie. However, the current story line with Sonny and Cyrus led me to to ponder some possibilities for Kellie and Jason that work as a lead up to the story I actually had planned. Where does Kellie fit into the situation especially with Jason running the business? How does she react? Not to mention how might Cyrus try to target Kellie. Or what if Kellie learned about Carly kidnapping Cyrus and Martin's mother?

I've been working on pieces of this one and off as the story plays out on GH. However, my main focus has been "Sometimes There Are No Rules" the NCIS crossover with Kellie and the story of how she and Gibbs met that no one will actually talk about in the General Hospital Universe. I'm still working on that one mostly. I haven't had time to write the last couple weeks. Since I've gotten some chapters written on this one, I figured I'd provide the preview to this story in the meantime. Keep in mind that updates to this one will be slow as I finish my other story.

Important things to know. Sonny did not keep Dev in the country illegally. Kellie and Charles were able to, using the foundations contacts, help Dev stay in the country legally. Dev is also not being killed off and didn't mess around with Cameron and Josslyn. In addition, sometime between the last story and this one, Drew's plane went down and he's currently missing at this time, due to Peter August being afraid he'll remember his involvement kidnapping him and Jason originally. As I keep working on this story I'll keep working out some of the other details related to this as well as Franco's death. If there's thing you'd like to see compared to the show or just in general, let me know. Beyond Kellie's reaction to Carly kidnapping Florence, I'm still planning and deciding what pieces from the show I'll incorporate into this one.

I don't the GH characters, just enjoy writing for them with the OCs.

There are other Kellie Corinthos stories before this one. List of the stories and what order is in my profile, along with with important information to know if anyone needs the cliff notes version.

First chapter, all Jason, Kellie, and family before getting into the mob stuff.

Fall 2020 - Some days before the Floating rib Explosion

Jason was finishing a beer at the Floating Rib when Kellie came up behind him.

"Got time for one more?" Kellie whispered in his ear, "Maybe a game of pool?"

"I thought you had a meeting with Lorenzo and Charles about the foundation" Jason asked.

"Finished early," Kellie said, "The kids are at school. And since Olivia has been begging me to watch Kelsey, I thought maybe we could have some time to ourselves."

"I like the sound of that," Jason said, pulling Kellie in front of him.

"You get the drinks," Kellie said, "I'll grab the pool table."

By the second game of pool, Kellie was taunting and distracting Jason. He missed the shot.

"Aww, you missed," Kellie said, going to line up her next shot, "If we were at home, you'd owe me your shirt off."

"Really?" Jason said, leaning over Kellie as she hit her shot. Two of her balls rolled into the pockets.

"I have another shot to make," Kellie said as Jason grabbed her pull cue and gently took it from her, setting it on the table.

"What are you doing?" Kellie asked.

"Change of plans," Jason said as he grabbed her hand, quickly leading her out of the bar.

The MetroCourt

Kellie and Jason had barely shut the hotel room door when Kellie was scrambling to take his shirt off. They kept kissing as Jason guided Kellie towards the bed.

Awhile Later

"I was just hoping for a game of pool and a drink without interruption," Kellie said, as she and Jason laid in bed, "As far as interruptions go, I say this one was very welcome."

"I'm glad you showed up," Jason said, "With everything that's been going on with Cyrus lately."

"I know," Kellie said, "with a half dozen kids to shuffle around, the foundation, running self defense classes, it's been hard to get a moment just the two of us."

"I wish that we could do better, it's just…" Jason said.

"It's more than business as usual with Cyrus trying to make a move," Kellie said, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Just do what you're doing?" Jason said, "Just be you like you are now."

"That's not what I meant," Kellie said.

"I figured," Jason said, "It's not that I wouldn't appreciate your help. But I hope it won't be necessary."

"I don't know what it is about Cyrus," Kellie said, "But I get the feeling he's not afraid to cross lines we can't even imagine. If that's the case, remember I'll have your back okay. Whatever we need to keep our family safe."

They were interrupted by Jason's phone ringing. Jason got up and found his jacket. He pulled his phone out of the pocket.

"It's Sonny," Jason said, "He wants to see me."

"Then go, deal with the big bad whatever, " Kellie said, sitting up, "I'll leave dinner in the fridge to reheat if you're late getting home."

Jason moved back to the bed and leaned into Kellie, kissing her.

"Before you go," Kellie said, pulling Jason backwards with her, "I think I might have a problem only you can handle."

Kellie & Jason's House

Later that evening, Jason came home to find Alyssa running around with a nerf dart gun.

"Pow," Alyssa said, hitting Jason with one, "I got you."

Alyssa was met with a barrage of darts from Jake and Jamie.

"No fair ganging up on me," Alyssa yelled, "Danny, you're supposed to be my back-up."

"You stole the last of my ammo," Danny said.

Kellie came out of the kitchen, carrying Kelsey, who was struggling to stay awake.

"Alright, ceasefire everyone," Kellie said, "You all still have school tomorrow. Time to get ready for bed."

Jake launched himself at Jason, "Dad."

"Hey buddy," Jason said, catching him.

Jared came barreling into the room, carrying to nerf guns going shooting everyone.

"Hey, Rambo," Kellie said, grabbing one of the guns as he went by her.

"Mom," Jared whined.

"It's still a school night," Kellie said, "Deal was normal bed time if Jake and Danny spent the night tonight."

"Jared, Jamie, Alyssa, upstairs," Kellie said, "Jake and Danny will be up shortly."

"But we don't have a winner," Alyssa said.

"To be continued," Kellie said, "Now don't make me tell you again."

Kellie started to herd the twins and Alyssa upstairs.

Jason gently touched Kelsey's cheek as Kellie walked by.

"This is a surprise," Jason said to Danny and Jake.

"We wanted to come over," Jake said, "since the weekend we were supposed to spend here everyone got sick. Then we couldn't."

"I just came for the macaroni and cheese," Danny said.

"Whatever," Jake rolled his eyes at Danny.

"Why don't you tell me about your day, your week in the kitchen," Jason said.

After Jason, Jake, and Danny talked awhile before Danny and Jake had to go to bed, Jason found Kellie checking on Kelsey, sleeping.

"I was hoping to say good night," Jason said, "looks like she's out."

"She missed nap time today," Kellie said, "Wiley and Leo kept her entertained or she kept them entertained."

"Thanks for bringing Jake and Danny over," Jason said.

"Anytime," Kellie said, "The kids have a late start tomorrow. I figured we could all have breakfast together.

"I wanted to be home earlier," Jason said.

"We'll figure it out," Kellie said wrapping her arms around Jason as they both watched Kelsey sleep.
