Chapter 16: SS Anne Tournament Round 4 Tag battle/RD 5 Part 1
Hello everyone, this chapter we'll continue the tag battle between Ash and Kiawe vs Justin and Larry. This chapter will also start the beginning of Round 5 as well. I also wanted to mention back in chapter 10 I stated that Krabby learned Hydro Pump but after checking the Pokemon's move set it doesn't learn the move so I'm making a small retcon instead of learning Hydro Pump it learned Scald instead. With that out of the way let's begin the chapter.
We begin where the last chapter left off with Krabby and Hypno launching their moves at each other creating an explosion.
"Now Hypno grab Krabby with Psychic!" Justin calls as Hypno fires the psychic waves towards Krabby
"Use Protect!" Ash calls Krabby quickly summons a barrier protecting it
"Weezing use Thunder Bolt on Krabby!" Larry calls as Weezing fires the bolt of electricity towards Krabby
"Oh no you don't Salazzle protect Krabby with Flamethrower!" Kiawe calls Salazzle fires the hot flames protecting Krabby as it gets rid of the Thunder Bolt
"Krabby raise your speed with Agility!" Ash calls as the little crab glows as it increases its speed and starts zooming around the battlefield
"Hypno use Psychic!" Justin calls as Hypno uses the move but misses as Krabby is moving too fast making Justin annoyed
"Great job Krabby now use X Scissor!" Ash calls Krabby crosses its arms in an X shape as it flies towards Hypno
"Oh no you don't Weezing use Thunderbolt!" Larry calls "Hey don't forget me Salazzle use Flamethrower on the Thunder Bolt!" Kiawe calls with Salazzle firing the flames as they destroy the Thunder Bolt Larry then looks at Kiawe and smiles
"Oh, don't worry I didn't forget about you Weezing use Dark Pulse!" Larry calls as the tiny head that's connected to Weezing fires the dark energy hitting Salazzle shocking Kiawe.
"Good job Larry Hypno use Protect then Psychic!" Justin calls as before Krabby reaches Hypno the Pokemon summons a protective barrier it then grabs Krabby with Psychic as it slams the krab on the ground and flings to where Salazzle is hitting the lizard.
"Are you two, okay?!" Ash and Kiawe call as both Pokemon nod still ready to battle.
"Hey, focus on the battle Weezing use Thunder bolt on Krabby and use Shadow Ball on Salazzle!" Larry calls as both heads of Weezing fire their moves as Krabby and Salazzle try their best to dodge
"Now Hypno grab them with Psychic!" Justin calls as Hypno fires the psychic waves at both Pokemon they are being held in the air trying to get out of the Psychic hold.
"May I?" Larry asks with a smile
"You may" Justin responds as Larry gets a big grin on his face
"Weezing use Thunder Bolt on Krabby and use Dark Pulse on Salazzle!" Larry calls as the two heads fire the moves hitting Krabby and Salazzle as they cry out in pain.
"Hang in there!" Ash and Kiawe yell
"Alright I think that's enough Weezing!" Larry says as Weezing stops the attack
"Now slam them on the ground Hypno" Justin says as Hypno slams both mons on the ground as they groan in pain as Ash and Kiawe look at their Pokemon.
"So, what will you do now?" Justin asks the two boys with an evil smile as Ash and Kiawe look at him with anger in their eyes wondering what they can do next.
"This is bad the battle has barely started and already Krabby and Salazzle have taken this much damage" Brock says in a worried tone
"But they can still win right?" Giselle asks in a worried tone
"I'm sure they will" Brock says with a smile
"Yeah, I believe Ash and Kiawe can still win" Misty says with a smile looking at Giselle
"Come on Ash show them that Pallet town spirit!" "Kiawe show them the power of Alola!" "Keep fighting you two!" Leaf, Lana, Mallow and Iris cheer loudly for their friends believing in them.
"Kiawe beat that Larry jerk!" "Go Ash!" Sophocles, Joe and Cilan cheer while Ritchie stays silent watching the battle
"Come on Giselle lets cheer as well" Misty says as Giselle smiles back at Misty as they both begin to cheer. Back on the battlefield Ash and Kiawe smile they're happy their friends are cheering for them.
"Thanks guys" Both boys say as they turn their heads back to their injured Pokemon
"Kiawe let's begin our counterattack" Ash says as Kiawe nods
"I agree I'm also going to do something crazy will you believe in me?" Kiawe asks looking at Ash
"Of course," Ash responds smiling and giving a thumbs up Kiawe smiles back
"Alright let's go!" Ash and Kiawe say as their Pokemon get up
"Seems they figured something out" Larry says
"Hmph, it doesn't matter our win is still confirmed" Justin responds as he calls out his next move
"Hypno use Psyshock!" Justin calls as Hypno fires the move at Salazzle and Krabby
"Krabby use Agility to dodge!" "Salazzle use Protect!" Ash and Kiawe call Krabby raises its speed again as it dodges the Psyshock and Salazzle summons a protective barrier blocking the attack
"Weezing use Thunder bolt on Krabby!" Larry calls as Weezing's two heads start to fire the bolts of electricity towards Krabby
"Dodge then use Crabhammer!" Ash calls as Krabby is able to successfully dodge the attack it jumps in the air covering its pincer in water as it hits Weezing on the head making the Pokemon fall on the battlefield.
"Hey get up!" Larry yells as Weezing starts to get up it sees Salazzle in front of it smiling
"Hypno quick use Psychic!" "Krabby cut that Psychic with Night Slash then use it on Hypno!" Ash calls shocking Justin as the crab cuts the psychic in half and lands the powerful slash on Hypno the Pokemon falls on the ground in pain.
"But that wasn't in our information" Justin thinks to himself
"Yeah, that last night training paid off now Kiawe!" Ash says as Kiawe nods
"Use Toxic on Weezing!" Kiawe calls as Larry begins to laugh
"Hahahaha just how stupid are you Toxic won't work on a Poison type!" Larry says as Kiawe smiles
"True but my Salazzle is special" Kiawe responds as Larry looks confused as Salazzle launches the toxic from its body it hits Weezing at first it does nothing but then Weezing starts to feel sick.
"But how?!" Larry says in a shocked tone as even Justin is shocked as well.
"My Salazzle has the ability Corrosion its able to poison not only poison types but steel types as well" Kiawe responds with a smile
"Even so I'll still win Weezing use Dark Pulse!" Larry calls "Not so fast Salazzle use Venoshock!" Kiawe calls as before Weezing could fire the dark energy its hit with stream of Poison doing major damage to the two headed Pokemon.
"You're kidding me!" Larry yells in anger as Justin looks at him
"Calm down return Weezing and send out your next Pokemon we're going to try that plan next" Justin says as Larry nods, he returns Weezing and sends out his next Pokemon.
"Tentacruel go!" Larry calls sending out the big squid Pokemon
"Now Hypno use Trick Room!" Justin calls as Hypno gets up its eyes glow blue as a big barrier surrounds the battlefield
"What's this?" Ash asks with Kiawe getting a serious look
"This is bad" Kiawe says as Ash looks at him confused
"Hypno use Thunder Punch on Krabby!" Justin calls "Krabby dodge!" Ash calls but Hypno was too fast as it punches the crab causing super effective damage surprising Ash
"Tentacruel use Hydro Pump!" "Use Protect!" Both trainers call Tentacruel immediately fires the highly pressurized water at Salazzle but the lizard was able to summon the protective barrier in time
"Hey what's going on why are Hypno and Tentacruel faster?" Ash asks Kiawe
"Trick room is a move that switches speeds between faster and slower Pokemon since our Pokemon are much faster than theirs trick room makes our Pokemon slower and theirs faster" Kiawe says as Ash nods
"Darn what now?" Ash says gritting his teeth
"Simple you lose" Larry says with a smile as he calls for his next move
"Tentacruel use Water Pulse on Salazzle!" Larry calls as Tentacruel quickly fires the ball of water towards Salazzle
"Knock it away with Iron Tail!" Kiawe calls as Salazzle knocks the Water Pulse back, but Tentacruel catches it and throws it back at Salazzle hitting the Pokemon causing super effective damage
"Krabby try Night Slash!" "Dodge then use Thunder Punch!" Ash and Justin call Krabby tries to land the Night Slash but Hypno dodges at last second as it punches Krabby on the ground the little crab groans in pain
"Now use Hypnosis" Justin calls as Hypno picks up Krabby and begins to put it to sleep"
"Salazzle quick help Krabby!" "Tentacruel grab it!" Kiawe and Larry call before Salazzle could go help its teammate Tentacruel grabs it with all of its tentacles
"Use Poison Gas!" Kiawe calls as Salazzle opens its mouth to launch the toxic gas
"Close its mouth shut then use Wrap!" Larry calls as Tentacruel closes Salazzle's mouth it starts to squeeze the Pokemon making it cry out in pain
"SALAZZLE!" Kiawe yells in worry, as Ash's Krabby is now put to sleep
"Now use Thunder Punch!" Justin calls as Hypno hits the little crab hard in the face as it crashes on the ground
"KRABBY!" Ash yells in worry
"If you don't want your precious Pokemon to get hurt anymore I suggest you both forfeit there's no way you can defeat us" Justin says with an evil smile
"No, we believe in our Pokemon we'll break out of this situation come on Krabby wake up!" Ash yells but the crab doesn't budge
"As I told you before you're too naïve Hypno finish it off with Psychic" Justin says as Hypno nods as it goes to use the psychic move on Krabby.
"Come on Krabby I know you can do it you've been training really hard every day with everyone don't go down now I believe in you Krabby so WAKE UP!" Ash yells but still isn't getting a response from Krabby as Justin smiles
Before Hypno uses Psychic on Krabby we go into the little crabs mind we see it before it was caught by Ash it was just a regular Krabby just eating everything and anything it could find it didn't get along with the other krabby's they would always pick on it whenever they got the chance. One day after it got beat up by the other Krabby's it was wondering around under the docks of Vermillion City it was looking for food until it saw a piece of Poke food hanging above it. The little crab smiled as it instantly grabbed the food putting it in its mouth, but the little crab didn't know it was a fishing line as its immediately pulled out of the water.
Once out of the water it sees three humans and a Pikachu that's next to the one that pulled it out of the water a boy with spiky raven hair. The boy has a smile on his face as he takes out a ball throws it at Krabby the little crustation is immediately sucked in, the little crab doesn't know what's going on it tries to get out but for some reason the ball felt comfortable.
A few seconds later the boy brings out Krabby and introduces himself as Ash and his partner Pikachu traveling with two other people named Brock and Misty. Ash tells the crab that he's happy he caught him, and they'll train together to become strong, Krabby's ears perk up at that this trainer really wants to help it get stronger? The crab thinks to himself. Later, in a forest the boy brings out his other Pokemon a Butterfree, Squirtle, Charmeleon and a Gyarados.
Krabby is terrified the moment it sees Gyarados, Ash tells him that Gyarados is friendly Krabby looks at the boy then at Gyarados the little crab walks over as the big sea serpent smiles making Krabby smile as well. After that the days Krabby spent with Ash and his Pokemon have been fun they train together, eat together, play together and sometimes get into disagreements but overall, it's a fun time. Krabby has also gotten stronger as well thanks to Ash's Gyarados who took the little crab under its wing and helped trained it become strong.
Krabby then hears a voice its trainer is desperately calling to it at first Krabby doesn't know why but remembers that it's in a battle and has been put to sleep. Krabby has taken damage, but it doesn't want to lose it doesn't want to disappoint its trainer, new friends and especially its master Gyarados as it tries its best to wake up.
Now back to the battle Hypno's psychic is about to hit Krabby but as the move gets closer Krabby wakes up at last second as it dodges the Psychic shocking everyone.
"What?!" Justin and Larry say in shock
"Yeah, Krabby I knew you could do it!" Ash says happily as the little crab looks back at its trainer and smiles it then looks around the battlefield and sees the tough spot, they're in.
"Just because that little crab woke up doesn't mean anything Hypno use Thunder Punch!" Justin calls as Hypno quickly runs forward
"Dig Krabby!" Ash calls as Krabby digs underground dodging the Thunder Punch shocking Justin as it shoots back in the air hitting Hypno in the process
"Great job Krabby lets get rid of this Trick Room use X Scissor on the field!" Ash calls shocking everyone as Krabby nods it crosses its arms in an x shape as it hits the battlefield getting rid of the Trick Room.
"What kind of crazy! I mean strategy was that?!" Alex yells in shock as everyone else is left silenced as well Larry's Tentacruel has loosened its grip on Salazzle Kiawe breaks his shock as he calls his next command.
"Use Toxic then Venoshock!" Kiawe calls as Salazzle breaks free of Tentacruel's tentacles successfully poisoning the squid Pokemon and it launches the Venoshock doing massive damage to the squid as it cries out in pain making Larry angry.
"Hey that's not fair!" Larry yells in anger
"It's completely fair I saw a chance and took it" Kiawe responds with a smile making Larry more angry
"GO ASH AND KIAWE!" Misty and the rest of the girls give a loud cheer with the boys doing the same as well
"How? your Krabby shouldn't be able to move how is it still standing?" Justin asks still in shock
"That's simple even though I haven't had Krabby for long its not only grown a strong bond with me but with the rest of my Pokemon so its giving its all and fighting for them!" Ash responds with a determined look in his eyes
"Why you Hypno use your strongest Psychic!" "Tentacruel use Hydro Pump!" Justin and Larry call as their Pokemon fire the moves
"Krabby use Swords Dance then cut down that Psychic with Night Slash!" "Salazzle dodge the Hydro Pump and use Fire Blast!" Ash and Kiawe call Krabby quickly increases its attack as it runs forward and starts cutting the Psychic Salazzle jumps high in the air dodging the Hydro Pump as it launches a huge blast of fire towards Tentacruel.
"GOOOOOOOO!" Ash and Kiawe yell as Krabby destroys the Psychic as it hits Hypno with Night Slash, and the Fire Blast hits Tentacruel burning the giant squid both Pokemon cry out in pain as they fall down defeated.
"Justin's Hypno and Larry's Tentacruel are unable to battle both trainers have one Pokemon left!" The ref calls as the crowd screams in excitement, Ash and Kiawe high five each other their friends cheer loudly while the rockets in disguise are surprised to see both of their executives Pokemon go down.
"Did I see that right Jessie?" James asks rubbing his eyes
"Yes, I did how about you Meowth?" Jessie asks with a shocked expression
"Yep, I saw it" Meowth says with a shocked expression
"Yeah, just one more and they win!" Joe and Sophocles say as they smile and high five each other
"I wouldn't celebrate just yet" Ritchie says in a serious tone as everyone looks at him
"Come on don't spoil the mood Ashy Kins and Kiawe are doing great out there" Giselle says in an annoyed tone
"Sorry I'm not trying to spoil the mood I'm happy they won as well but the battle is just going to get harder from here" Ritchie says as everyone looks back on the battlefield Larry is currently throwing a temper tantrum while Justin is calm.
"Krabby and Salazzle you two were amazing" Ash says with a smile as the two-mons nod Krabby is extremely happy it begins to jump up and down but stops as it glows a bright white shocking everyone.
"Krabby's evolving!" Ash says while smiling as Krabby grows bigger its left pincer becomes bigger as well it grows a crown on its head once the evolution stops what was once a Krabby is now a Kingler.
"Cookie!" Kingler says happily as the crowd roars in excitement
"Wow Kingler evolved already?" Misty says with a shocked expression
"I guess all that training with Gyarados, our training battles and this battle gave it the experience needed to evolve" Brock responds as Misty nods
"That's great Kingler you've evolved!" Ash says happily as he, Pikachu and Raichu hug the big crustacean making Kingler happy
"That's amazing Ash" Kiawe says as he and Salazzle smile over at the commentator's table they're smiling as well with Gary having the biggest smile as he now feels Ash can actually win the tournament.
"YOU'RE KIDDING ME?!" Larry yells in anger before he could say anything else Justin stops him
"Calm down we haven't lost yet" Justin says with a smile Larry takes a deep breath calming himself down as he nods and takes out Weezing's Pokeball with Justin taking out Houndoom's Pokeball they nod as they throw them in the air and out comes the two headed Pokemon still suffering from poison and the black hell hound it growls and gives a mighty roar catching the attention of Ash, Kiawe and their Pokemon as they remember they are in the middle of a battle.
"Can you guys still go on?" Ash and Kiawe asks the two tired Pokemon as they nod and head back towards the battlefield
"Let the battle continue!" The ref calls as Justin makes the first move
"Use Snarl" Justin calls as Houndoom gives a mighty roar as instead of shooting out black rings Houndoom fires a giant ball of dark energy that quickly moves across the battlefield hitting Kingler and Salazzle, Salazzle is completely knocked out but Kingler is still conscious as it points its big pincer at Houndoom Ash notices and takes the chance.
"Kingler use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls as before Kingler goes down it fires a big stream of water consumes Houndoom greatly weakening the Pokemon Kingler smiles as it then falls on the ground defeated.
"Kingler and Salazzle are unable to battle all four trainers now have one Pokemon!" The ref calls Ash and Kiawe return their Pokemon telling their Pokemon thank you as they send out their last Pokemon.
"Marowak Go!" "Vulpix, I choose you!" both trainers call as their Alolan Marowak and Vulpix appear as soon as Vulpix appears people are confused as to why Ash picked Vulpix even Kiawe is wondering why as well.
"Wait why did Ashy kins pick Vulpix?" Giselle asks with everyone except Misty wondering as well
"Last night when I woke up to get some water Ash was still training his Pokemon I asked which Pokemon he was going to use he told me Krabby and Vulpix. When I asked why not use his stronger Pokemon Ash told me that he was considering one of his stronger pairs, but Krabby and Vulpix really wanted Ash to use them, so Ash decided to pick them since he believes in them" Misty responds as everyone nods in understanding
"No fair how could you spend some time alone with Ashy Kins at night and not me?!" Giselle asks in an annoyed tone, but Misty ignores her since her focus is on the battle.
"So that's the reason" Kiawe says (Ash told him why he decided to use Krabby and Vulpix)
"Yep, got any complaints?" Ash asks Kiawe smiles as he shakes his head
"You really do crazy stuff" Kiawe responds as Ash smiles, Ash then looks at Vulpix
"Hey, Vulpix this is your first official trainer battle with me we've trained a lot these past 2 weeks let's win!" "Pika" "Rai" Ash, Pikachu and Raichu say with a determined look Vulpix looks at the three returning the look as well it turns to the battlefield standing next to its teammate, it looks at its opponents they both seem really strong especially the Houndoom Vulpix crouches down getting in a battle stance as it begins to growl as well not shocking Justin and Larry since the reports from Jessie, James and Meowth told them that they shouldn't underestimate this Vulpix.
"Let the final match begin!" The ref calls as Larry makes the first move
"Weezing use Fire Blast on Vulpix and Dark Pulse on Marowak!" Larry calls as the two heads fire the moves
"Vulpix use Protect!" "Marowak counter with Flame Wheel!" Ash and Kiawe call their moves Vulpix summons a protective barrier blocking the fire blast as Marowak starts to quickly spin in a wheel covering its body in fire it continues to spin through the Dark Pulse as it hits Weezing causing some damage to the mon.
"Houndoom use Dark Pulse on Marowak!" "Vulpix block it with Ice Beam!" Justin and Ash call Houndoom fires the dark energy at Marowak but Vulpix blocks it with Ice Beam causing an explosion, Houndoom looks over at Vulpix growling at it with Vulpix doing the same.
"Marowak use Shadow Bone on Weezing!" "Use Gyro Ball!" Kiawe and Larry call Marowak covers its bone in green energy and Weezing begins to spin very quickly as the two mons collide trying to push the other back. Weezing suffers from poison damage again as Marowak is able to push Weezing to the ground as the Pokemon coughs.
"Tch if this keeps going on Weezing's going to lose" Larry says in an annoyed tone he looks over at Houndoom battling Vulpix and gets a good idea.
"Houndoom Flamethrower!" "Vulpix dodge then use Ice Beam!" Justin and Ash call Houndoom launches the hot flames from its mouth Vulpix successfully dodges it gets above Houndoom and hits the hell hound with the icy beam causing some damage to It.
"Hey, looks like you need some help I'll give you a hand" Larry says looking at Justin with Justin nodding
"Alright Weezing use Smokescreen!" Larry calls as the big Weezing head blows out a thick cloud of smoke
"Marowak blow that smoke away with your bone!" "Not happening Weezing use Sludge Bomb!" Before Marowak could do anything the small Weezing head fires a big sludge ball at Marowak hitting it and doing some damage. The field is now covered in the smoke screen Vulpix can't see anything and is coughing.
"Vulpix try using your ears to pinpoint Houndoom's location!" Ash yells Vulpix closes its eyes and begins to concentrate
"Use Gyro Ball!" Larry calls Weezing suffers from the poison damage, but it spins quickly and hits Vulpix knocking the Ice fox on the ground groaning in pain
"Houndoom use Flamethrower!" Justin calls as the large stream of flames head towards Vulpix
"Dodge Vulpix!" Ash calls Vulpix narrowly dodges the Flamethrower but got hit by some of it.
"Now let's end this Weezing use Explosion on that fox!" "Houndoom use Protect" Larry and Justin call, Houndoom quickly summons a protective barrier while Weezing quickly flies in front of Vulpix it smiles at the little fox as its about to explode.
"Marowak quick get in front of Vulpix!" Kiawe calls as Marowak quickly runs through the smoke it reaches Vulpix and Weezing shocking Larry
"Wait Weezing sto-" Before Larry could say anything Weezing explodes it gets rid of the smokescreen and does some damage to the battlefield as the smoke clears Weezing is on the ground unconscious while Marowak and Vulpix are safe.
"Weezing is unable to battle Larry has no more Pokemon left" The ref calls as the crowd cheers while Larry is angry
"How?!" Larry yells in anger
"Seeing as my Marowak is a ghost type and normal moves have no effect on Ghost type Pokemon I had Marowak jump in front of Vulpix to protect it from the explosion, I'm not going to let you take out any more of my friends Pokemon with that move." Kiawe responds as Ash and Vulpix thank Kiawe and Marowak
"You little brat!" Larry yells he's about to say something else but Justin stops him
"Calm down I'm still battling" Justin says giving Larry a glare as Larry stays quiet Justin takes a deep breath
"You two really are strong trainers but this is the end for you Houndoom use Howl and Nasty Plot!" Justin calls Houndoom gives a big roar as it increases its attack and special attack.
"Now Snarl!" Justin calls as Houndoom fires a big black ball of dark energy towards Marowak and Vulpix
"Use Protect!" Ash and Kiawe call as the two mons summon the protective barrier blocking the Snarl
"Use Iron Tail!" Justin calls as Houndoom jumps high in the air it lands behind Marowak and Vulpix and covers its tail in steel energy
"Marowak use Iron Head!" "Use Dark Pulse!" Both trainers call Marowak covers its head in steel energy as it charges at Houndoom and Houndoom fires the Dark Pulse knocking Marowak away as the dog continues running towards Vulpix with its tail charged with Iron Tail
"Vulpix Counter with your Iron Tail!" Ash calls surprising Justin as the Ice fox and Hell Hound collide their Iron Tails, Vulpix tries its best to push back but Houndoom was stronger as it knocks Vulpix in the air
"Now Fire Fang!" Justin calls as Houndoom quickly leaps up to bite Vulpix
"Marowak use Brutal Swing!" Kiawe calls as Marowak's bone becomes a crimson red it throws the bone successfully hitting Houndoom in the face making it stop the fire fang.
"Now Vulpix use Dazzling Gleam!" "Use Flamethrower!" Ash and Justin call as Vulpix quickly covers its body in a shining ball, Houdoom fires the flames, Vulpix is injured by the Flamethrower but still hits Houndoom in the face with Dazzling Gleam as the two mons fall on the ground.
"Houndoom use Fire Fang on Vulpix!" Justin calls as Houndoom quickly stands up and charges at the fox
"Marowak use Iron Head!" Kiawe calls as Marowak quickly launches forward hitting Houndoom on the side making the dog stop using fire fang
"You're in the way Houndoom use Dark Pulse then Crunch!" Justin calls Houndoom fires the Dark Pulse hitting Marowak Houndoom runs forward as it bites down hard on Marowak both moves cause super effective damage and Marowak falls on the ground defeated.
"Marowak is unable to battle the deciding match is now between Vulpix and Houndoom!" The ref calls as Kiawe returns Marowak and looks at Ash
"Sorry I couldn't do more Ash" Kiawe says
"It's fine you've done plenty besides now it's time to defeat this guy right Vulpix!" Ash calls as Vulpix nods as it growls at Houndoom with the hell hound growling back at it.
"It's come down to this" Brock says as everyone nods
"ASH, VULPIX WIN!" Misty along with the other girls, Joe, Sophocles and Cilan cheer (Brocks Vulpix came out of its Pokeball to cheer for Ash's Vulpix) Ritchie just stays quiet
Houndoom and Vulpix keep growling at each other as they begin to circle around the other waiting for their trainers to make their moves Ash and Justin stare at the battlefield a few moments go by as Ash makes the first move.
"Use Quick Attack then Nasty Plot!" Ash calls as before Justin could give Houndoom a command the Ice Fox quickly shoots forward as it hits Houndoom in the face making the dog skid back a few feet Vulpix then roars as it raises its special attack.
"Use Flamethrower!" Justin calls Houndoom quickly shoots the flames from its mouth
"Use dig to dodge!" Ash calls Vulpix quickly digs underground dodging the Flamethrower and it immediately appears under Houndoom hitting it in the face
"Knock it away with Iron Tail!" Justin calls Houndoom roars it covers its tail in steel energy and hits Vulpix making the little fox fly in the air
"Now Fire Fang!" Justin calls as Houndoom quickly leaps in the air with fire in its mouth as it goes to bite down on Vulpix
"Use Protect!" Ash calls Vulpix quickly summons the barrier that blocks Houndoom's attack
"Use Flamethrower!" "Use Ice Beam!" Both trainers call as the Pokemon fire their moves at each other causing a big explosion the two Pokemon land on the battlefield still ready to continue.
"Usually, Flamethrower would easily beat Ice Beam" Sophocles says
"Ash had Vulpix train with his Charmeleon, Brocks Kanto Vulpix and Brocks Graveler since it knows Flamethrower to make its ice moves strong against fire moves but it's still weak to fire type attacks, so Ash is trying not to let Vulpix get hit with those moves" Misty responds
"Do you think Ash can win?" Iris asks
"Yeah, I know he can" Misty says with a smile with Leaf, Brock and Brock's Vulpix agreeing with her, Giselle looks at Misty
"Houndoom use Flamethrower!" Justin calls Houndoom launches a big blast of fire from its mouth
"Vulpix dodge then use Hail!" Ash calls Vulpix successfully dodges the flamethrower it begins to roar in the sky as hail starts to fall injuring Houndoom in the process
"Use Fire Fang!" Justin calls as Houndoom runs forward with fire in its mouth
"Alright Vulpix let's try out this move use Aurora Veil!" Ash calls shocking Justin Vulpix summons a rainbow-colored veil surrounding its body Houndoom lands the Fire Fang on the Ice fox, Vulpix skids back it groans from the pain but is still able to battle.
"But how?!" Mallow says in shock
"That must be the move Ash was training Vulpix to use last night" Misty says
"I get it since Ash knew Justin was going to use Houndoom he must've looked through the moves Vulpix knows in his Pokedex and came up with this plan to counter Houndoom's fire moves, and the hail will do more damage to Houndoom over time" Leaf says as everyone nods
"This is surprising to see Ash come well prepared for this battle he usually just thinks of strategies on the fly" Brock says with Misty nodding
"Oh, my prince continues to be amazing in battles" Giselle says with hearts in her eyes
"Now Vulpix use Ice Shard!" Ash calls as Vulpix fires the shards of Ice at Houndoom hitting the hell hound as it groans in pain
"Hey what are you doing you're going to lose at this rate!" Larry yells in anger Justin glares at Larry that tells him to be quiet as Justin turns back to the battlefield
"Houndoom use Sunny Day!" Justin calls as Houndoom roars getting rid of hail and summoning a very hot sun
"Their now your plan is useless" Justin says with a smile as Ash grits his teeth
"Darn I wasn't expecting him to break out of it so fast" Ash says
"What now Ash?" Kiawe asks as Ash looks at him
"Simple I'm going to win Vulpix use Nasty Plot then charge up your strongest Dazzling Gleam!" Ash calls as Vulpix gives a loud Ko increasing its special attack more and begins to charge the Dazzling Gleam.
"Still naïve Houndoom end it with Fire Blast!" Justin calls as Houndoom howls and fires the big blast of fire its bigger than the first one and more powerful thanks to the sun.
"FIRE VULPIX!" Ash yells as Vulpix fires the Dazzling Gleam it collides with Fire Blast and the two moves begin to fight for dominance
"Come on Vulpix keep pushing!" Ash yells as Vulpix tries its best
"Hmph weak Houndoom add more power" Justin says as Houndoom increases the flames to the fire blast making it stronger as it begins to push the Dazzling Gleam back shocking Ash.
"You made a mistake using your Vulpix you should've used one of your more experienced and stronger Pokemon you'll never get far if you just believe in your Pokemon now Houndoom CRUSH THEM!" Justin says as Houndoom continues adding more fire to the fire blast it's about to completely consume Vulpix.
"Your right maybe if I used my more experienced Pokemon I would've had a much easier time winning but last night Kingler when it was a Krabby and Vulpix came to me last night and requested to be in this battle Kingler already proved it by beating your Hypno and I know Vulpix can win as well not only me, but my other Pokemon as well COME ON VULPIX UNLEASH YOUR POWER!" Ash responds
Vulpix hears her trainers voice even though it hasn't been with Ash for long she's truly come to love being with him his friends at his other Pokemon who are now her teammates. During these pass two weeks Vulpix trained a lot with Ash's Clefable to increase its fairy moves and trained a lot with Pikachu, Charmeleon and Gyarados to increase its power and endurance in battle. It could've have imagined doing this at home on Mt. Lanakilla even though it trained a lot their none of the other Vulpix were interested in training with it and the leader of the pack would never battle it since it was never interested.
So, it decided to go on its journey the pack leader approved so it followed Susie and Dupilca to the Kanto region it enjoyed its time with them but knew they wouldn't be able to help with its dream. Once Vulpix met Ash and saw him battle that's when Vulpix knew Ash would be the right trainer for it. After Ash caught her Vulpix has really been enjoying itself and always gives it 100% in training or battles and this battle is no different it won't lose.
"KOOOOOOOOOOO!" Vulpix screams as it unleashes more power as it begins to push back the Fire Blast shocking Justin
"You're kidding me!" Larry yells in anger
"But how?!" Justin questions as Ash responds
"It's like I told you I believe in my Pokemon, and they believe in me WE WON'T LOSE!" Ash says as Vulpix continues to yell pushing the Fire Blast back more as both attacks are in the middle fighting for dominance.
"You darn naïve little brat I WON'T LOSE HOUNDOOM MORE POWER!" Justin yells as Houndoom tries to increase the fire power but its already at its max power.
"GOOOOOOOO VULPIX!" "KOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Ash and Vulpix yell as the Dazzling Gleam consumes the Fire Blast it hits Houndoom not only knocking it away but also Justin and Larry there's a big explosion that creates a big dust cloud.
"Do you see them, Brock?" Misty asks
"I can't see anything" Brock responds
"I think the dust is clearing look" Leaf says as everyone looks once the dust clears, they see a knocked-out Larry and Houndoom with Justin trying to get up on the battlefield, Alolan Vulpix and Ash are panting with Kiawe, Pikachu and Raichu helping Ash get on his feet.
"Houndoom is unable to battle the victory of this match is Vulpix which allows Ash and Kiawe to move on to the next round!" The ref calls as everyone gives a loud cheer
"ALRIGHT!" Ash and Kiawe celebrate giving each other a high five Vulpix smiles as it jumps into Ash's arms with Ash hugging it with Pikachu and Raichu joining in.
"YOU TWO WERE AMAZING!" Misty and the rest of the girls yell as they celebrate
"They both fought really well out there" Brock says as Cilan agrees
"They did it Joe they did it!" Sophocles says with tears in his eyes as he and Joe hug crying that Ash and Kiawe got revenge for them.
"He continues to impress me" Ritchie says as Sparky agrees
"They both fought very hard" Surge says as Violet and Goodshow agree while Gary looks over at Ash
"Heh you've grown stronger Ashy Boy" Gary says with a smile
"Ugh my head what happened?" Larry says waking up as he looks over at Justin
"Well as you can see, we lost" Justin responds with Larry nodding
"So, what now?" Larry asks
"Simple we go with our next plan and that's stealing not only the grand prize egg but also the other trainers Pokemon" Justin says as Larry smiles and nods
"First things first we need to report to the boss" Justin says as Larry agrees Justin then returns Houndoom and the two men start to walk away Ash notices and calls out to them.
"Hey!" Ash yells getting Justin and Larry's attention
"You two may be jerks but I really enjoyed the battle let's battle again one day" Ash says with a smile as Kiawe agrees
"Hmph the next time we battle it'll end worst for you" Justin responds with a hint of malice in his voice as he and Larry walk away
"Man, they're still jerks" Ash says in an annoyed tone with Kiawe agreeing, now that Justin and Larry left Looker (still wearing the Croagunk mask begins to follow them Jessie, James and Meowth notice him leave as they begin to secretly follow him. Ash and Kiawe hear the commentator's comments on the battle then go back to their seats, before Ash walks to his seat he feels something congratulating him he turns around and looks at the egg, but the feeling goes away as Ash goes back to his seat.
"Amazing battles today we're reaching the end of the tournament as we've now reached the top 10 trainers, please take a look at the screen for the round 5 battles" Alex says as everyone looks at the screen it randomizes the images once it stops everyone is surprised at who they'll be battling while others are excited.
The first battle of the day will be Diamond from Twinleaf town and Hilda from Nuvema Town, after them will be Ritchie vs Hilbert from Nuvema town, after their battle will be Ash vs Iris, after them its Brock vs Kiawe and the Last battle of the day will be Leaf vs Misty.
"Looks like we finally get to battle each other" Brock says looking at Kiawe
"Yes, and this time I'll win" Kiawe responds
"You better not hold back Ash because I won't" Iris says with a smile
"Of course, we won't hold back either!" Ash responds with a determined look as Pikachu and Raichu spark their cheeks
"So, I'm battling Hilbert next" Ritchie says as he and Hilbert glance at each other
"You better give it you're all against me Misty" Leaf says with a determined look
"You bet!" Misty responds giving Leaf a determined look as well
30 minutes later we move to a different part of the ship Looker was following Justin and Larry but had to stop since the trio was following him, so he decided to go to his room.
Meanwhile in another part of the ship below the deck we see Archer and Petral (Not wearing their disguises and a bunch of other Team Rocket grunts not wearing their disguises anymore they're in a meeting room and looking at a screen that shows Giovanni in what looks to be in an office.
"So, let's hear your report" Giovanni asks as he takes a sip from his wine as Archer and Petral speak
"We're sorry to inform you sir that not only us but the other disguised rocket grunts have all been knocked out of the tournament" Archer says shocking Giovanni as he glares at the executives and the grunts.
"I see let me guess you lost to Ash Ketchum and his little friends?" Giovanni asks with Archer and Petral nodding
"Hmph to be able to defeat you is impressive indeed so what are you planning to do now?" Giovanni asks as Archer answers
"We're planning on stealing the grand prize egg and the rest of the passengers Pokemon" "We plan on striking on the final day of the tournament" Archer and Petral say as Giovanni nods
"That's fine with me is there anything else?" Giovanni asks
"Yes, sir it's about one of the participants sir he goes by the name of Croagunk mask here's a picture" Petral says as he shows Giovanni the picture as the man looks at it.
"He seems familiar but I'm not sure who it could be" Giovanni says
"We've had Jessie, James and Meowth keep watch of him so far all they've said is he doesn't do anything but watch the battles and sleep in his room, but I feel there's something more about him" Archer says as Giovanni nods
"Good update me if you find anything more about him, I've to go now" Giovanni says Archer, Petral and the other TR grunts nod as the call ends.
"Let's get started" Archer says as the other grunts nod and change back into their disguises.
We cut to Giovanni who's now staring out the window and sees what looks like Saffron City he gets up and begins walking to a man that's tied up.
"Now Mr. President, I think it's time for you to make the Master Ball for me" Giovanni says with an evil grin as the old man looks at Giovanni with anger in his eyes.
We fast forward to the next day Ash, Leaf and Ritchie called Prof Oak and Birch respectively to change their teams for their upcoming battles. Round 5 of the tournament has begun and Diamond defeated Hilda pretty easily with his Luxray and Staraptor defeating all four of Hilda's Pokemon the two trainers shake hands and go to their seats as Alex calls for the next trainers to come to the battlefield
"Will Ritchie of Littleroot Town and Hilbert from Nuvema town please come to the battlefield!" Alex calls as both boys walk to their sides of the field and stare at each other
"This is a 4v4 battle both trainers are allowed to make substitutions please send out your first Pokemon!" The ref calls as Hilbert sends out his first Pokemon
"Come on out Throh!" Hilbert calls bringing out a mon that looks similar to Sawk but its body is red, shorter and is also wearing a karate outfit it gives a mighty roar, Ritchie smiles and takes out a Pokeball.
"Who do you guys think Ritchie will send out?" Mallow asks
"I'm going to guess Rose his Swellow, Gem his Sableye, or Dusty his Duskull" Cilan responds as the group nods
"Gecko go!" Ritchie calls shocking the group as the grass gecko is ready to battle.
"A Grovyle this should be interesting" Hilbert says with a smile.
"Let the battle begin!" The ref calls as Ritchie makes the first move
"Grovyle use Quick Attack!" Ritchie calls as the gecko shoots forward
"Throh when Grovyle hits you use Circle Throw!" Hilbert calls as Throh gets ready to catch the gecko as it closes in
"Gecko stop!" Ritchie calls confusing everyone as Gecko stops in front of Throh
"Use Screech!" Ritchie calls as Gecko gives a loud screech in front of Throh making it and its trainer cover their ears from the loud noise Throh's defense has lowered as well
"Now Swords Dance!" Ritchie calls as Gecko greatly increases its attack
"Use Bulk up!" "Use acrobatics!" Both trainers call before Throh could increase its attack and defense Gecko flies forward as it hits Throh back and forth with the super effective flying type move doing massive damage to the Pokemon.
"Now finish it off with Leaf Blade!" Ritchie calls as the blades on Gecko's arms grow into sharp blades as it charges forward at Throh
"Use Revenge!" Hilbert calls as Throh goes to hit Gecko the grass type dodges as it lands the Leaf Blade on the Pokemon instantly knocking it out shocking everyone.
"Throh is unable to battle Grovyle is the winner!" The ref calls as Ritchie and Gecko celebrate Hilbert returns his Pokemon and before he brings out his next Pokemon Ritchie's Gecko begins to evolve surprising everyone except Ritchie.
Gecko becomes bigger, its tail becomes bushier, grows seeds on its back and has what looks like a red belt on its stomach once the evolution stops what was once a Grovyle now stands a Sceptile.
"You've finally evolved Gecko!" Ritchie says as the Pokemon looks back at its trainer and nods Ash and Leaf scan the Pokemon with their Pokedex's
"Sceptile, the Forest Pokémon, and the evolved form of Grovyle. The seeds growing on Sceptile's back are brimming with vitamins that can revitalize trees." The Pokedex says as Ash, Leaf, Lana and Iris have stars in their eyes at how cool Sceptile looks.
"This could be bad" Hilbert says as he sends out his next Pokemon
"Bouffalant Go!" Hilbert calls and outcomes a big bison Pokemon it gives a mighty roar ready to battle Ash and Leaf scan it with their Pokedex's.
"Bouffalant, the Bash Buffalo Pokémon. While aggressively defending its territory, Bouffalant will charge anything and everything in its way." The Pokedex says
"Let's go Bouffalant use Megahorn!" Hilbert calls the big buffalo roars as it charges at Gecko
"Use Detect then use Swords Dance!" Ritchie calls as Gecko dodges Boufflant's attack it then raises its attack sharply again.
"Use Rockslide!" Hilbert calls Boufflant summons the Rocks and flings them at Gecko
"Cut all of them down with Leaf Blade!" Ritchie calls Gecko begins to effortlessly get rid of all the boulders.
"Now Zen Headbutt!" Hilbert calls Boufflant quickly charges forward and hits Gecko doing some damage to the grass type.
"Use Low Kick!" Ritchie calls as Gecko kick's the big bison's leg making it fall hard on the ground doing super effective damage.
"Now end it with Dragon Claw!" Ritchie calls as Gecko covers its arms in Dragon energy as it slashes down on the bull, Boufflant cries out in pain but is now knocked out.
"Boufflant is unable to battle Sceptile is the winner!" The ref calls as Ritchie and Gecko cheer Hilbert returns his Pokemon.
"Tell me was the reason you sent Boufflant out would be so I would use a grass type move on it activating its ability Sap Sapper which would've increased its attack power?" Ritchie asks
"Yes, that's right I was hoping you would make a mistake and use a grass type move you saw through my plan very well" Hilbert responds as he takes out his next Pokeball
"Thanks, I did some research on Boufflant last night I didn't know yours had the ability but once you sent the Pokemon out that confirmed it for me" Ritchie responds as Hilbert smiles
"Alright then let's see how you handle this one Braviary Go!" Hilbert calls and a big eagle Pokemon appears giving a mighty cry Ash and Leaf scan it with their Pokedex's
"Braviary, the Valiant Pokémon, and the evolved form of Rufflet. Because of its devotion to its friends, Braviary will continue battling, even after sustaining injury." The Pokedex says
"I want to catch one" "Me too!" Ash and Leaf say
"Gecko be careful!" Ritchie calls with Gecko nodding
"Braviary use Hone Claws then use Aerial Ace!" Hilbert calls as the big bird gives a loud cry raising its attack and accuracy it quickly flies forward towards gecko
"Counter with Dragon Claw!" Ritchie calls as Gecko covers its arm in dragon energy and collides with Bravary creating an explosion making the two-mons skid back.
"Now Air Slash!" Hilbert calls as Braviary fires the slashes of wind towards Gecko
"Dodge with Detect then use Leaf Blade!" Ritchie calls Gecko quickly runs forward dodging all the Air Slashes it jumps in the air as both sides of its arms become blades as it closes in on Braviary
"Use Heat Wave!" "What?!" Hilbert calls shocking Ritchie as Braviary fires the wave of fire in Gecko's fast burning the Gecko as it falls towards the ground injured.
"Are you alright Gecko?!" Ritchie calls Gecko gets up and smiles back at its trainer it can still battle but has taken a lot of damage.
"Now Braviary let's end this use, Aerial Ace!" Hilbert calls as Braviary flies forward towards the injured Gecko as Ritchie smiles.
"Use Protect then Drain Punch!" Ritchie calls Gecko quickly summons a protective barrier stopping Braviary's attack it then punches the bird in the stomach doing major damage and healing Gecko's damage from the heat wave.
"We're not done yet use Heat Wave!" Hilbert calls Braviary fires the wave of heat towards Gecko
"Dodge with dig then end this battle with Acrobatics!" Ritchie calls "It knows dig?!" Hilbert says in a shocked expression as Gecko quickly digs underground dodging the Heat Wave it appears behind Braviary and uses Acrobatics hitting the bird multiple times until it falls down defeated.
"Braviary is unable to battle Septile is the winner Hilbert has one Pokemon left!" The ref calls Ritchie and Gecko cheer the crowd roars in excitement while the group is surprised.
"To be able to beat 3 Pokemon in a row with just 1 mon is incredible" Cilan says
"Yeah, and Hilbert throughout the tournament has showcased to be a very strong trainer" Iris says with everyone agreeing Ash says nothing as he, Pikachu and Raichu continue to watch the battle.
"Braviary return" Hilbert says returning the bird as he takes out his last Pokemon
"You've given me a tough battle Ritchie but I'm still going to win Samourott I choose you!" Hilbert calls as Ritchie looks confused what appears is a large blue four-legged, Otter like Pokemon it has long white whiskers, shells on its legs and a big shell shaped like a horn on its head it gives a mighty roar, Ash, Leaf and Ritchie scan it with their Pokedex's.
"Samourott, the Formidable Pokémon and the final evolved form of Oshawott a pure water type. Protected by armor, Samourott can defeat opponents with one sword swipe. Its glare can silence them as well." The Pokedex says
"IT'S SO COOL!" Misty and Lana yell with hearts in their eyes, Violet at the commentators table has hearts in her eyes as well.
"So, I guess your Dewott evolved" Ritchie says with Hilbert nodding
"Yep, last night my sister Hilda and me were having a training battle with our Pignite and Dewott my Dewott won the battle and evolved this is its first battle as a newly evolved Pokemon let's win Samourott!" "Samo!" Hilbert says with Samourott roaring in agreement.
"Gecko can you still battle?!" Ritchie calls with Gecko nodding
"Let the battle continue!" The ref calls as Hilbert makes the first move
"Use Aqua Jet!" Hilbert calls as Samourott incases itself in water, quickly shoots forward and hits Gecko
"Use Dragon Claw!" "Dodge with Double Team!" Both trainers call Gecko goes to hit Samourott with dragon claw, but the otter Pokemon quickly copies itself dodging the attack the copies are now surrounding Gecko.
"Use Ice Beam!" Hilbert calls as Samourott and its copies fire the Ice beam
"Jump in the air!" Ritchie calls Gecko quickly jumps high in the air dodging the Ice Beam
"Increase your power with Swords Dance then use Fury Cutter!" Hilbert calls Samourott gives a mighty roar increasing its attack the copies vanish as the real Samourott jumps after Gecko it takes out two shells from its arms, they become long red blades.
"Counter with Dragon Claw!" Ritchie calls as the grass gecko covers both its arms in dragon energy it falls towards Samourott the two Pokemon clash in the air creating a big explosion they then land back on the battlefield.
"Use Bullet Seed!" Ritchie calls as Gecko fires the small seeds towards Samourott
"Cut them with Razor Shell!" Hilbert calls Samourott's red shell blades become blue as the mon successfully cuts all the Bullet seeds
"Now use Quick Attack!" Ritchie calls as Gecko charges forward and hits Samourott in the stomach
"Fury Cutter!" Hilbert calls as the blue shell blades become red again and Samourott slashes down on Gecko making it crash to the ground from the super effective hit
"Now Ice Beam!" Hilbert calls as Samourott charges the Icy beam
"Use Low Kick!" Ritchie calls as Gecko quickly kicks Samourott's leg hurting the sea otter as it falls on the ground and the Ice beam goes in another direction
"Now Leaf Blade!" "Counter with Fury Cutter!" Both trainers call as both mons get up and begin to clash, they both land hits on the other but neither wants to lose as they clash again.
"Use Ice Beam!" Hilbert calls as Samourott fires the beam of Ice in Gecko's face knocking the grass gecko back and doing super effective damage Gecko gets on one knee and starts to pant, with Samourott panting as well as they pant Gecko's body glows with a green aura as Samourott glows with a blue aura both trainers know what this is.
"What's going on?" Ash asks
"It seems Gecko and Samourott activated their Overgrow and Torrent ability's respectively" Brock responds as Ash looks confused
"You really didn't pay much attention to Prof. Oak's lectures Overgrow is an ability that increases grass type moves while Torrent increases water type moves these abilities activate when the Pokemon are close to fainting" Leaf says as Ash nods
"So, this means whoever lands the final attack first wins" Sophocles says with the group nodding as they go back to watch the battle.
"Alright Samourott use your strongest Liquidation!" Hilbert calls as Samourott gives a mighty roar as it takes the two shell blades combining them into one creating a big water sword.
"Gecko use your strongest Leaf Blade!" Ritchie calls as Gecko roars the blade on its right arm grows bigger as well both trainer and Pokemon stare at each other for a few moments.
'GOOOOOOO!" Both trainers call as Samourott and Gecko charge at each other Samourott brings its water blade down as Gecko counters with the leaf blade both Pokemon push each other back trying to gain the upper hand Samourott is pushing with all it's might, but Gecko won't go down, yet it roars pouring all the energy it has in the leaf blade as it starts to cut through the Liquidation shocking Hilbert and Samorott.
"GOOOOO GECKO!" "SCEPTILE!" Ritchie yells as does Gecko as well it cleanly cuts through the water sword hitting Samourott both stand waiting for the other to fall Gecko stumbles a little bit but Samourott smiles as it closes its eyes and falls down in defeat.
"Samourott is unable to battle Sceptile is the winner and Ritchie will move on to the next round!" The ref calls as the crowd give a loud cheer
"Way to go Gecko!" Ritchie says with a smile as he runs and hugs the large grass gecko the Pokemon begins to nibble on Ritchie's head affectionately causing the boy to laugh.
"I can't believe it he really beat Hilbert with only using one Pokemon" Cilan says with a shocked expression as the rest of the group are speechless as well.
"Thanks for the hard-fought battle Samourott you and everyone else did really well" Hilbert says with a smile Samourott returns the smile as it goes back to its Pokeball, Hilbert then walks over to Ritchie and his Pokemon.
"You're a really skilled trainer I'm shocked you defeated me with only one Pokemon but I'm not mad this just proves I've more areas to improve and the next time we battle I'll be the one who wins" Hilbert says with a smile as Ritchie along with Sparky and Gecko nod. They listen to the commentator's comments on the battle they all praised Ritchie with how he used Gecko in the battle, and they say he's currently the favorite to win the tournament Ritchie nods as he goes back to the group who are still in shock at his win. They all regain composure when the next match is called.
"Will Ash from Pallet Town and Iris please come to the battlefield!" Alex calls as the two trainers get excited, they immediately get out of their seats and run down to the battlefield they take their positions and stare at each other smiling.
"This is a 4v4 battle both trainers are allowed to substitute their Pokemon please send out your first Pokemon!" The ref calls as both trainers bring out their mons
"Deino Go!" "Vulpix I choose you!" Iris and Ash call bringing out the four-legged dragon and the Ice fox both Pokemon are serious
"Of course, you would choose Vulpix first how predictable" Iris says
"Well, it does have the type advantage and Vulpix has been looking forward to battle your dragon type Pokemon" Ash responds with Vulpix nodding
"Well, looks like Vulpix got her wish let's win this Deino!" Iris says as Deino roars
"You ready Vulpix?!" Ash asks with Vulpix giving a "Ko" telling Ash its ready
"Let the battle begin!" The ref calls as both Ash and Iris call for their moves.
"Use Dark Pulse in front of you!" "Counter with Ice Beam!" Iris and Ash call both Pokemon fire their moves creating a large explosion.
This is where I'm going to leave off for now, Ash and Iris's battle will continue in the next chapter, we'll also get the Brock vs Kiawe and Misty vs Leaf battles next chapter as well. Tell me how do you guys think I handled the battles in today's chapter, are you satisfied with how Ash and Kiawe defeated Justin and Larry? Were you surprised when Ritchie's Grovyle fully evolved into a Sceptile and defeat the rest of Hilbert's team all by itself? And who do you think are the other 3 Pokemon Ash will use against Iris.
