The first Christmas at the palace

25th December 9.15am

I was as usual, sitting by the window dreaming. Snow had started to fall earlier that day on the palace grounds and it looked really pretty. It was also special because it was the first snow, of the first Christmas at the palace for me.

But imagine this, Christmas day at the palace consists of a grand dinner with all the maids and butlers, cooks and chef's, servants and cleaners in the palace. Also, in my case, no friends and hardly any family.

Grandma is at the broadcasting studio making her annual Christmas day speech. Mom's flight was cancelled last night due to the weather in San Francisco so she won't arrive until tomorrow.

So you can imagine it is very lonely here and I really miss Christmases in America. Oh well no need to pry.

25th December 3:25pm

you'll never guess what?

After lunch Joe came into my room. Ok so I was a bit rude. He came and said ' merry Christmas' and all that and I did reply with merry Christmas but with a hint of sarcasm. He did pick up on it.

"oh well it will be a merry Christmas if you just follow me out to the court"

so I did. I could hardly believe my eyes!

There stood covered in snow the new 1960's mustang recoup!

This is going to be the best Christmas ever!!

Yours Mia
