In Galvin and Waldo's unkempt garage, Skye was fast asleep; Chase, sadly, couldn't say the same. Thousands of thoughts were shooting through his head. He was mainly thinking about how they could escape. His last attempt didn't go very well, but he wanted this plan to be foolhardy. He then heard the doorknob at the back of the garage rattling. He instantly pretended to be fast asleep. A few seconds passed, and nobody came through the door. He then felt a drafty breeze coming through the cracks of the garage door. He worked out that it was just the wind. Out of curiosity, he got up, and walked over to the door. He wanted to see if the door was locked or not. If it was, he and Skye could exit via the front door of the house! And if not, he was sure nobody would notice; he could hear Galvin's snoring from the other side of the house. Chase used his forepaws the turn the knob half-way; it was unlocked! He was incapable of turning it all the way to open though…

He walked over and nudged Skye.

"Skye," Chase whispered. "Skye!"

"What?" Skye said in an annoyed tone.

"I've found a way to get out of here!" he exclaimed. He excitedly explained his plan to her.

"I don't know about that…" she responded. "Sounds very risky…"

"It's risky or we stay here for a long time…" Chase said.

Skye sighed, then replied, "Okay. I'm in."

"All right!" Chase exclaimed.

He walked up to the door, and tried to turn open the knob again, but was still unsuccessfully.

He turned to Skye. "I can't open the door; do you have any ideas?"

"Use your teeth," Skye replied, with playfully narrowed eyes.

"Oh, yeah, I knew that," Chase responded, with an embarrassed titter.

He attempted to open the open with his teeth, and was successful!

"We're in!" he excitedly whispered.

The two pups slithered through the house, to the front door.

Chase went on his hind legs to open the door. He got the doorknob between his teeth, and the door opened!

Skye squealed in excitement.

"Let's go!" Chase exclaimed.

The pups dashed through the door onto the streets. They were now free!

Ryder plopped down on his bed, followed by a depressed sigh.

Marshall noticed the boy's actions, and padded over. "You okay?" he asked.

"I came here to find two dogs, but now I'm on the hunt for six," Ryder sighed.

"Aw, Ryder," Marshall replied. "I'm sure they all will be found soon."

"Yeah, Ryder," Rocky chimed in. "If I know anything about them, it's that they'll show up before you know it!"

Rubble hopped up besides Ryder to give him a lick for comfort.

"Yeah, you're probably right," Ryder said, feeling a bit more optimistic. He got situated in his bed. "Goodnight, pups," he said.

"G'night Ryder" the pups replied, as they went to their own beds.

Once the pups had exited, Ryder pulled the cord to turn his lamp off. He was feeling very motivated to search for the others in the morning.
