KHR: Children of the Sky
Target 0.1: Takumi Sawada
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE EXTREME, MY CUTE LITTLE SISTER!" Ryouhei yelled and was smacked behind the head. "Ow! Hana-chan, why did you hit me?"
"Oh shut up! You're making a scene! Also, her birthday is in two days so calm down!" Hana sighed and looked at Kyoko. "Welcome back to Japan, Kyoko. We missed you."
"I missed you two as well." Kyoko giggled as she placed a hand on her belly. Feeling the kicks of the baby in her womb, she gasped in pain. At the sound of the gasp, one man rushed to her side.
"Kyoko! Are you okay?" Tsuna asked, freaking out about his wife's pain. "Do you want to sit down? I can go call a cab now. Ah, what should we do if you go into labor in Japan? Maybe I should contact Hibari. But everything is ready for you in Italy…"
"Tsu-kun, I'm fine. Where are the boys?" Kyoko asked as she smiled at the teenager who was carrying one of the boys while the other was rubbing his eye, holding the teenager's hand. "Ah, thank you, Reborn~!"
"I didn't come here to be a babysitter." Reborn sighed as he lowered his hat and sighed. "Dame-Tsuna, get your son before I throw him on the ground."
"Ah, no! Reborn, don't be merciless!" Tsuna rushed to grab the boy from Reborn's arms and then smiled at the boy who held Reborn's hand. "Takumi, come on. Meet your uncle."
The small boy looked at Reborn and then walked over to hold his mother's hand. "I'm Takumi Sawada. Nice to meet chu." He blinked at his words. Japanese wasn't his first language but he was still learning. After all, his parents spoke it a lot.
The other two adults stared at the boy and then melted. "He's so cute~!" Hana smiled as she got down to pick him up, shocking him. "I'm Hana, your Auntie. You can call me Auntie Hana."
"Angie Hana?" Takumi asked, trying to understand her.
"Yeah! And I'm your uncle! Uncle Ryohei!" The tan man announced, waking up the other twin.
"Ungle?" Takumi asked and then looked at his mother. "Angie and Ungle?"
"Ah, good morning, Takeo." Tsuna greeted the sleepy twin. Of course, greeting the boy in Japanese since this twin was different. "We're in Japan now."
"Japan?" He looked over to see his brother in someone else's arms. "Who are they?" He asked, tilting his head.
"These are your aunt and uncle," Kyoko explained. "Please greet them, Takeo."
"Yeah…" He looked at the couple. "Nice to meet you, I'm Takeo Sawada, Takumi's younger twin. Nice to meet you."
The two adults blinked at the boy. It was clear that Takumi took after Tsuna and Takeo took after Kyoko. However, it was the other way around. Takeo followed his father, seeing him lead the family and learning how powerful his father was. Also, Reborn had even stated that Takeo was more aware of his surroundings, unlike Takami who hid in fear from the scary people.
"There's such a difference." Hana blinked. "Well, let's go. Haru is waiting for you two."
…
Now at the Sawada residence, Tsuna entered the home where Lambo and I-Pin lived with his parents. Nana and Iemitsu had welcomed the couple since Ryohei and Hana live at the Sasagawa residence, taking over the household with their energetic child. After catching up with his parents, Tsuna and his sons were playing ball outside with Kyoko and his parents watching.
"Takumi, heads up," Tsuna yelled as he threw the ball toward the child, lightly. However, the soft ball hit Takumi's head and he fell to his bottom. "Ah!" Tsuna rushed to his son and looked for injuries. "Are you okay, Takumi?"
After realizing what had happened, Takumi started to tear up. "O-Ow!" He held his head and cried, making Tsuna panic even more. "Papa hit me!"
"Kyoko!" Tsuna began to tear up as the called woman walked over to the two. "What do I do? He's gonna hate me!"
"Calm down, Tsu-kun. The ball wasn't that hard and he just started to cry after you panicked." Kyoko giggled as she picked up the crying child. "There, there. Calm down, Takumi. Papa didn't mean to."
"Ahahaha! To see the most feared man in the dark world cry for a child, it's great to have a family!" Iemitsu laughed as Takeo walked over to be carried by his grandmother. "You raised Lampo and I-Pin, Tsuna. Have more confidence in yourself!"
"That's different!" Tsuna argued as Kyoko handed him the crying child. "Takumi and Takeo are my actual sons and I have known them since they were born. Lambo and I-Pin came here fully able to kill other people. My sons are blind to the mafia world and very delicate!"
Takumi calmed down and blinked at his father's words. "Mafia…?" He pondered as he stared at his father.
"I'm sorry, Takumi. Let me kiss the pain away." Tsuna kissed the boy's head and smiled. "There, are you okay now?"
Takumi giggled and hugged the mafia boss. "Yeah!"
"Hahi! That was so cute~!"
The group turned and Takumi could see a brunette with short brown hair and dark brown eyes that was carrying a bag. Behind her was a boy who was pushing a carriage, his light brown hair made him so soft and nice.
"Haru-chan! Futa-kun~!" Kyoko skipped over to her friend and hugged her. "It's been so long since I saw you. How you been well?"
Haru only nodded. "Yes, Haru has been fine! All thanks to Kyoko and Tsuna-san! Ah, Hibari-san, too. So…" She pulled out two outfits and revealed some cute matching boy outfits. "As thank you, I made these~!"
"How cute~!" Kyoko smiled as she looked at the clothes. "Thank you, Haru-chan~!" She showed the outfits to Tsuna. "Look, Tsu-kun~!"
Tsuna walked over with his son in his arms to admire the outfit. "Yeah, they look nice. I'm glad your boutique is going well, Haru."
"Thanks for the amazing sponsor, Tsuna-san!" Haru smiled and then looked at the child. "Is this Takeo?" Her question made the boy frown.
"Takumi, this is Takumi." Kyoko smiled and then pointed at the other twin. "That's Takeo."
The twin in his grandmother's arms looked tired and sleepy, his face flushed. Breathing a bit faster and harder, the woman who was holding him could tell he had a fever. Shaking her head, she walked inside with the feverish child.
"Takeo has a sickly body," Kyoko explained. "Takumi is more healthy but he's scared of everything."
"That might be my fault." Tsuna nervously laughed as he put Takumi down. "Well, I'm sure he'll grow out of it as I did."
While the adults were talking, Takumi walked to the stroller. In the stroller, Takumi could see a small child. The child was a small boy who was fast asleep, holding a stuffed animal toy. The moment the sun hit his eyes, they opened to reveal his mocha brown eyes. Seeing the child, Takumi instant was in awe of his cuteness.
"I'm Takumi." He spoke, staring at the child as he rubbed his eye. "Wanna be friends?"
Kotaru looked at the older boy and then smiled the biggest and cuteness smile he had ever seen. "Yesh! Am Koe! Night chu need chu! Lesh plah, Neechan!"
(Yes! I'm Koe! Nice to meet you! Let's play, Neechan!)
…
"NO!"
Takumi sat up and stared into the darkness. Trying to remember, he looked around and realized he was in a bedroom. He remembered that after Koe woke up, they both played with the ball until they got tired and it was late. Haru had gone home, Tsuna had gone with Iemitsu for work reasons so Kyoko stayed with Nana and the boys. Since Takeo had gone to sleep after taking some medicine, Takumi joined him and fell asleep, but now, his twin was missing.
"TAKEO! COME BACK!"
"Eh?" Takumi got out of bed and walked into the hallway. He was greeted with a large scent of metal and gunpowder. "Mama? Takeo? Nana?" He called out and heard more voices. He got to the top of the stairs and saw shadows of two men from the living room. In the hallway were two bodies that weren't moving. "Grandpa… Grandpa…?" Takumi could recognize them as his grandparents from his mother's side and rushed downstairs to check if they were okay. However, he could tell that they weren't moving and their bodies were cold.
"Please! Leave him alone!" Takumi blinked with his tears at the sound of his mother's voice. "He's just a child! Please!"
Takumi got closer to the door and looked inside the room. Inside were three men; one was looking over an unconscious Nana, the other was holding Kyoko down while she was bleeding from her head, and the last one was holding Takeo up by the neck.
"No!" Takumi yelled as he rushed to grab the man's leg. "Let go of my brother!"
"What's this brat?" The man asked, staring at the child that was grabbing his leg and hitting it. "He looks like this brat."
"Takumi!" Kyoko yelled out. "Don't! Run away!"
"Ta…ku…mi…" Takeo whimpered as he tried to grain his breath. "R…un…"
The oldest saw his twin starting to lose consciousness and began to cry. "Takeo! Don't die!" He yelled as the man kicked him off his leg and sent the boy flying back towards the wall. He lost all the air in his body at the impact and fell to the ground. "Takeo… don't leave me alone…"
The last scene he saw was his twin staring at him with wide eyes, black, then his brother standing in front of him with flames surrounding them. Darkness engulfed his vision and he drifted off to sleep, but he could hear the sound of men shouting in pain, Takeo yelling at them to die, and Kyoko crying for Takumi to wake up.
"Papa… Mama… Takeo…" His mind whispered. "I want to be stronger so I can protect you… I want to punish the bad guys… I don't want Mama to cry anymore… Takeo is weak, so I have to get stronger.
8 years later:
"After that day, I learned that Takeo released his flames and killed those intruders." A twelve-year-old boy with brown hair and black-framed glasses spoke as he looked outside the window. "Moments later, Father returned with Grandfather and rushed us all to the hospital. Everyone sees that day, Decimo's Dark Day."
"Vongola's DDD." The blonde man that was sitting on the couch sighed. "I know that day was bad for everyone involved." This was the boss of the Cavallone Famiglia and a close mentor to the oldest Sawada children, Dino, Cavallone Decimo.
"The night before my mother's birthday was the day she died," Takumi responded as he saw the young girl run in the garden. "The day of my mother's birthday, a few minutes after my mother passed, Kiyomi was born and was unstable." His fist clenched. "All that happened while I was unconscious. I wish to protect my family and make sure DDD never happens again."
"And how do you plan to do that?" Dino asked the young boy. "You aren't the favorable to gain the title."
"I know…" Takumi sighed. "Takeo has the battle experience and talent. I'm just a boy that trains and studies way too much."
"Actually, I heard from your father that Takeo isn't a favorite to win either." The blonde smirked as he got up to walk over to a shocked Takumi's side. "The favorite to gain the title is her, Kiyomi Sawada."
"Impossible!" Takumi yelled, backing away from his teacher. "Kiyomi is obsessed with Kotaru and nothing else. As long as she can marry that boy, she's happy!"
"I was shocked when I heard it from Tsuna as well." Dino held up his hands and then looked at the girl who had made a flower crown. She placed it on a young boy's head and kissed his cheek, making him blush and her giggle. "However, there's a reason why she wants to be Vongola 11th. AT least, that's what Reborn says."
"Mr. Reborn?" The boy looked at his sibling who was hugging Kotaru, who was just still. "Then… I defeat her too. I must become boss."
"Why?" Dino asked, watching the boy from the corner of his eye. "Why must you become boss?"
"Well…" Takumi looked at the half Vongola Ring that was in his hand and sighed. "I must destroy those who try to take away my family." He glared at the boy who held his dearest sister in his arms. "I won't let anyone take them away from me."
Dino chuckled and patted the boy's head. "Alright. I'm in."
