I own nothing except for becca and other characters I added. Duh.

This is kinda a depressing beginnin. But it will be funny and romantic once it gets going. Hehehe…

The door was swinging in the warm summer wind as she pulled up into the driveway. Petunia in the seat next to her didn't notice as she was chattering on about her latest desperate boyfriend. Lily stared at the door and uncharacteristically didn't say anything about the stupidity of the poor boy. Petunia went up to the porch and rummaged around in her purse for a key and then looked up. She tried to keep her composure but even she could feel the evil and smell the stench of death. She looked uneasily at Lily. Lily pulled out her wand but couldn't move she knew that once she stepped through that entrance she would be changed forever. Petunia backed away from the door. Her movement woke Lily from the trance. She stepped through the doorway foreboding filling her. Then as fear filled her she ran from room to room. As she got to the kitchen and hurtled through the door what she saw made her stop cold. Her parents bodies. They weren't bodies though. They were torn. The carnage made her stomach give and she threw up. She looked up at the window as the fluttering of an owls gray wings attracted her attention. Then she saw the wall. There was a head of a pale man with yellow eyes was there hovering. "I warned you Ms. Evans. Look at what happens when you do these things. Your parents die and you are all alone with nothing but a sister who will loathe and despise you. You will die soon too. You will suffer completely before you die though. Completely. I will enjoy this very much indeed. Everyone you love will be destroyed. Everyone who loves you will be destroyed." Then the head started manically laughing. And laughing. The head then melted away to show a picture of the man. Painted by blood. The mad laughter grew louder and louder until it consumed her. It was only then that she began screaming.

Lily looked up at the castle that was her school and was now her permanent home. Her once slender figure was now painfully thin and her eyes that used to be alive and have a mischievous sparkle were now gaunt and wide. Mcgonagall came out and looked pitying at the girl. "Come this way dear." She turned and went into the castle leaving Lily to follow. They went up the familiar stairs, round and through doors, and past the gargoyle in front of Dumbledore's office. Dumbledore gestured to the chair in front of the desk. Lily sat and looked out the window. "Lily I know this is difficult for you. You have lost your parents and Voldemort

wants to hurt you. But I don't want you to be floating around like an undead ghost. You are going to live." "Voldemort says he will make me suffer. And he would destroy me and everyone who cares about me. I will save a lot of trouble by not caring about anyone." "Lily. I care about you. Do you think that he could destroy me?" "I don't know. I'd rather you don't risk it though." "Lily don't become a lifeless husk. Don't do that to yourself and your friends. Like Becca, Frank, and Sirius." "I don't want them destroyed either." Dumbledore saw what she was hinting at and said, "Don't you dare block them out of your life Lily. You need them." "They don't need me killing them either." "What about James?" Lily stiffened. "That boy has nothing to do with it. Maybe now that I look like a vampire he will leave me alone."

Dumbledore looked at her for a minute and a twinkle in his eyes gave away his thoughts on that. "Perhaps. Now I assume you know your way to the dorms?" Lily nodded and left.
