No surprise I don't own My Hero Academia only characters I may create
This is my second Fanfiction the first is still being worked on and will continue once I get some good ideas.
Don't expect a consistent upload schedule, things are happening, and I won't always have time to write this story.
Izuku Midoriya at the young age of four was forced to realize the harsh reality of the world all men are not created equal. At the age of four Izukus dreams were in question after he was diagnosed as quirkless. That night he was glued to his mother's computer screen watching his favorite video of All Might saving a group of people from burning wreckage with a smile on his face. He turned to his mother tears threatening to spill.
"Mom, do you think I can still be a hero like All Might?"
Inko Her tears running down her face fiercely hugs her son and gives her an answer that would change the world.
"Izuku honey I'm sorry but you can never be a hero like him."
Izuku's tears finally broke through the dam.
"You can only be a hero like Izuku".
Izuku's tears suddenly halted. He pulled away from his mother to see a crying Inko smiling as best as she could without breaking down for the sake of her son.
"What"? Izuku asked with a little confusion in his voice.
Inko Midoriya's smile grew to show her son how much she loved him.
"You can't be a hero like All Might Because you are not him, you are Izuku Midoriya, you might not be the strongest hero but if you use your head I believe you could become a great hero Izu."
Izuku his Dream solidified started crying again in pure joy that his mother still believed in him. The next day, however, was a complete 180 for Izuku, his best friend Katsuki Bakugo who had manifested his quirk a few days ago was excited to find out what quirk his friend could have only to be told he was quirkless. From that day on Izuku's life had gone downhill, his Friend now Bully had given him the nickname Deku so everyone knew how worthless he was.
Three years later
"GET OUT OF MY WAY YOU DAMN DEKU!" a furious Katsuki screamed at Izuku
"NO KACCHAN, you can't pick on people just because they are weaker than you, that's just wrong."
"What would you know you, damn nerd, you better move out of my way or I'll give you twice what the nerd behind you would get."
That day Izuku was left on the playground covered in bruises, cuts, and burns unconscious.
"Hey, Hey are you ok?" A voice Izuku has never heard before said.
"Hey come on you can't sleep here forever and it looks like you need a doctor."
Izuku slowly opened his eyes wincing at the light behind the figure. As he got used to the light he started to make out the other kid's features. He was short compared to Izuku by a few inches, his hair black and a chaotic spikey mess, he had wide innocent eyes with a concerned look on his face. He handed Izuku a water bottle that he took gratefully.
"Is that Better?" he asked
"Yes thank you," Izuku said stretching a little to test the scope of his injuries. "Why did you help me?" asked Izuku confused about this stranger's kindness
"Do I need a reason?" asked the boy. "You looked like you needed help and I couldn't do nothing"
"Oh well thank you again- uhh"
"Oops sorry I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Son Goku what's yours?"
"I'm Izuku Midoriya It's nice to meet you but I need to get home and I'm sure you need to head home too," Izuku said starting to get up.
Izuku waited for a response but got none, he turned around to see a sad look on Goku's face.
"Is something wrong?" asked Izuku
"I don't have a place to go," Goku said in a small voice looking down at the ground tears pricking at the corner of his eyes.
Izuku seeing this started panicking waving his arms in the air.
"AHH SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE YOU SAD!" Izuku said Quickly
"If you don't have anywhere to go you can come to my house for a while," Izuku suggested.
Goku looked up surprised evident on his face. "Are you sure even though I," Goku stopped looking down again
"Even though what?" Izuku asked
"I'm quirkless"
Izuku surprised gave a reassuring smile at Goku
"That doesn't matter besides people like us need to stick together right?"
Goku's face lit up with a small smile. "Yeah I guess we do, also are those yours?."
"What?" Izuku turned around and by his bag, there were seven yellow orbs with green stars numbering them corresponding to the orb.
"Those aren't mine, I wonder where they came from?" Izuku started to reach out to grab one when they started glowing light green. Izuku grabbed one and nothing happened.
"Weird let's take them with us I can look at them later, for now, let's go to my house."
Goku and Izuku proceed to gather the orbs and Izuku's belongings and head over to Izuku's house. When they arrive they greet Inko who is pleasantly surprised by the extra kid in front of her.
"Hi sweetie who is this, is he a new friend?" Inko asked
"Yes, here introduce yourself."
Goku stepped up to Inko "Hi my name is Son Goku I'm Izuku's new friend and I wanted to ask if I could stay here for a while?"
Inko was about to say yes but then she caught his wording.
Inko asked, "What do you mean, stay here for a while, don't you have a home to go to?"
"Not anymore" Goku replied head down
"Do you mind telling us what happened?" Izuku asked
"I guess but you won't believe me nobody does," Goku replies
They all sit down in the living room once comfortable Goku starts his story.
Flashback
Goku one year and a half ago
Goku was an orphan born with a small mutation quirk, he had a monkey tail. In the orphanage, he was bullied and neglected for having a weak, useless quirk until he was adopted. One day Goku was roaming the streets after running away from the orphanage he bumped into an elderly man. Slightly dazed he quickly apologized and tried to run off, but the man stopped him.
"Hold on their young one, why are you in such a rush?"
"I need to go away." Goku Replied
"Go away from what?"
"Everything, everyone, everywhere I just want to disappear. Everybody is mean to me because of my quirk the other kids said the world would be better if I disappeared so that's what I'm doing!" Goku rambled as he started to tear up.
"Oh, poor boy, the nerve of people discriminating against someone because of their quirk." The old man Fumed
"How about this, why don't you take me to your orphanage I've decided I want to adopt you."
Goku started to beam pure joy "REALLY!" He yelled, "Yay this is the best day ever I've got a new grandpa!"
After the adoption process was complete and the orphanage was reported by the old man Goku was taken to live with the old man in the mountains. This old man's name was Son Gohan and over the next year, Gohan would teach Goku a little bit about martial arts giving him books and scrolls about the arts. Goku would also find out that the old man was quirkless, but despite that he had a strange power that let him make glowing balls of energy and made him stronger, he even gave Goku a book on how to unlock his power. Along with all that he also started to properly feed the young boy letting him start to grow properly, but everything changed one month ago.
Goku and Grandpa Gohan were looking over the mountain and the forest in their small cabin. They always slept in the cabin because of some of the unpleasant wildlife on the mountain. This night Goku had drunk too much water and got up to use the bathroom, while doing his business outside he happened to look up at the full moon. The next morning he woke up completely naked in the woods confused about why he was here and not at home he started on his way back to the cabin but stumbled. He looked behind him to discover that his tail had been cut off, after freaking out a little and getting used to walking without a tail he continued to run back to the cabin not noticing giant footprints in the ground.
When Goku arrived at the cabin there were police cars ambulances and fire trucks at the cabin. The fire trucks were putting out fires that were spreading near the cabin and the paramedics were carrying a stretcher with a white tarp covering something. Running up to some of the people there he asked for his grandpa, the paramedics flinch immediately knowing who he was talking about. Goku the observant kid he is notices the change in the atmosphere.
"Where is my grandpa!" Goku demanded
One of the Paramedics stepped up to deliver the bad news. "Well, kid last night we got a call from some locals that there was some sort of rampaging animal, by the time we got here it had destroyed most of the forest and some of you and your grandfather's home."
"You didn't answer my question," Goku said fear creeping into his voice.
"Last night it seems your grandpa tried to fight off the quirked animal, he, unfortunately, died in the process."
Goku froze not wanting to believe what he just heard. Immediately Goku ran towards the ambulance trying to find his grandfather, when he gets there he hears one thing he tried not to believe.

Goku, hearing this, reveals himself crying hysterically to the medics not wanting the child to see the extent of the damage done to the man only revealing his head which was somehow not damaged. Goku now completely breaks down calling for his grandpa only to be met with silence. After everything was taken care of Goku was allowed to gather everything he wanted to take and was admitted to the nearest orphanage after confirming he had no other living family. He stayed in the orphanage for a week, and that week was worse than the last time. The mistreatment and Neglect had gotten worse now that his quirk was gone, and even though he always tried to keep a smile on his face he decided to run away from the orphanage with all his belongings.
Flashback ends
"After I left I lived on the streets for a while traveling around until I met you Izuku beat up on the ground " Goku finished slightly tearing up at the backstory
Izuku and Inko were both crying by the end of Goku's story.
Before Goku could say anything else both Izuku and Inko gave him the most loving hug they could.
Inko practically sobbed" Oh Goku I'm so sorry about what happened to you, you can stay here for as long as you need"
Goku started to tear up hugging them like they were his last lifeline.
"Thank you" Is all Goku could say crying into the two Midoriya's arms.
After Goku gave his backstory he was able to use the Midoriya's shower and even though it was early he still slept on Izuku's bed drained from the day he had. As Goku slept Inko had a Talk with Izuku
"So Izuku do you have something you want to tell me?" Inko asked in that parent tone that said I have a clue about what happened so you better tell me.
"Well" Izuku started "I may have had some problems with other kids"
"What kind of problems?" Inko half asked half demanded
Izuku gulped shrinking in on himself "Well I was defending this kid at the park from some bullies, and they beat me up pretty bad"
Now Inko is a gentle woman who most of the time wouldn't hurt a fly but right now with her fury, she could scare off the devil himself.
"Ah ok so could you tell me their names sweetie?"
Izuku knew then that he had screwed up, he didn't want kacchan to have this on his record preventing him and the others from getting good jobs or becoming heroes.
"Mon I don't want to say, if I do they might get into trouble if I told you"
Inko, not liking the answer but a little proud of her son for caring about others so much (even if they didn't deserve it), kept pushing for answers. After a lot of back and forth, she finally decided to drop it on the condition that if this happens again he must tell her immediately. With that conversation out of the way, Izuku had one last thing to ask.
"Uh... hey mom?" Izuku asked in a nervous tone
Inko knowing where this was going answered immediately "I know what you're going to ask and I don't know if I can adopt him."
"But why mom" Izuku pleaded "I know you want to and he needs someone, we can't let him go back on the streets.
"I know that but things have been tight ever since he left I can only comfortably support us on what he sends every month,(though I suppose I could get a job, then Izuku would be home alone). While Inko started mumbling Izuku was listening the only person who could understand the mumble-talk being a mumbler himself.
"Hey, mom if you get a job why don't you work while Goku and I are at school so you don't miss anything," Izuku suggested
Inko pulled from her mumbling storm "Yes that's a good idea with that we should be able to live comfortably and adopt Goku. With that plan set, Inko went out to get the paperwork to adopt and enroll Goku in school. By the end of the day, the two were exhausted and fell asleep.
"Luckily there is no school tomorrow, there're still more things we need to do."
With this final thought, Izuku went to sleep.
Next chapter Izuku and Goku will learn more about their quirks and while I'm on the subject, I know completely how I want Izuku's Quirk to work however I can't decide if I want Goku to Be a Saiyan or just have a Saiyan Quirk, either way, this won't affect the story until the end of MHA which I may do a prologue once I know how MHA ends While I don't know everything I do know some manga exclusive facts that I won't post until it is released in the anime.
