GUYS KEVIN CONROY DIED I WANT TO DIE (he was the voice of Batman for years if anyone doesn't know)
OoOoOo
Bakugou's exit from the hero course is a turning point for Class 1A.
Izuku begins to see Hound Dog regularly. It's a difficult process, but he learns that how he was treated by Bakugou and others was not okay and that he shouldn't have had to go through that. There are many tears (of course), but Izuku finally starts the healing process. Hound Dog even encourages him to tell his friends- who he has grown closer and more open with- the whole story.
Of course, Hound Dog doesn't exactly know what the whole story entails.
Midoriya plans to have a talk with All Might. He knows that he made a mistake revealing his quirk to Bakugou, but pleads with All Might that he trusts the friends he has now with his life. All Might never say no to his boy and allows Midoriya to share the secret of One For All with Uraraka, Iida, Todoroki, and Yaoyorozu. Midoriya also shares his quirkless past with them.
To his surprise, his friends already knew part of the story. They reveal that Bakugou's behavior caused them to come to the conclusion that he had grown up without a quirk. There are many hugs and a lot of tears (mostly from Midoriya and Uraraka) and unlike in canon, Midoriya is able to reveal his biggest secret on his own terms with close friends that he trusts immeasurably. It doesn't take long before all five of them are on a first-name basis with one another.
(It's actually All Might who suggests revealing the news to his mother. Other than a slipper thrown his mentor's way that he narrowly dodges, the woman takes the news relatively well. She does make Midoriya promise to stop taking so many risks, and he agrees without complaint)
Somehow, news gets around UA about Bakugou's behavior. Most of 1A actually apologize to Midoriya for not noticing earlier, much to his bewilderment and embarrassment. Kirishima is noticeably quieter, but is still friendly to Midoriya and the rest of the class.
No one knows if he still talks to Bakugou or not.
As promised, Nezu does strip many of Aizawa's privileges. He is no longer allowed to nap when he's supposed to be teaching and his ability to suspend students is revoked. He's urged to take a more traditional approach to teaching his students, though he is allowed some freedom in his methods. Nezu also strongly suggests that he refrains from holding another quirk assessment, to which Aizawa sheepishly agrees.
All Might is required to take lessons from Vlad King and Thirteen. While the former Symbol of Peace's heart is in the right place, he lacks order and organization. It isn't anything a few pointers and practice can't fix. Midoriya is allowed to sit in on these classes and cheerfully encourages his mentor from the sidelines, much to the man's embarrassment.
Bakugou's admission into General Education is met with hostility. He wasn't popular before the transfer due to his arrogance before and during the Sports Festival, but the rumors about how he treated Midoriya easily make their way to Class 1C. He's met with taunts, insults, and goading from his classmates. Hitoshi Shinsou, in particular, likes to mess with him using his quirk. Bakugou, who's under strict supervision regarding his own quirk, is unable to attack and threaten the General Studies students like he did Midoriya for all those years.
(Present Mic notices most of this, but chooses to ignore it for the most part. He figures that it's only a fraction of what the blond put Midoriya through, he'll survive)
Midoriya visits the League of Villains in their confinement from time to time. He was able to talk Nezu into convincing the HPSC to place Toga in juvenile detention with proper quirk therapy and get Spinner, Magne, and Twice into regular prison over Tartarus. Nezu does him one better and is able to get Shigaraki and Dabi quirk therapy as well, though they're still in Tartarus. Fortunately, they're far away from All For One and his influence.
Midoriya holds hope that they'll all get the help that they need.
Without his hero worship of Bakugou holding him back, Midoriya easily excels to the top of the class. He's right behind Yaoyorozu and Iida in academics and is even with Todoroki in heroics. He steadily works to master One For All and his friends help him in any way they can. With his friends, mother, and mentor by his side, nothing is standing in the way of his goals.
And it's on this road that Izuku Midoriya will go on to become the Number One Hero.
OoOoOo
And that's a wrap folks! Thank you all so much for taking this journey with me. Even if you were disappointed by the ending, I hoped you enjoyed the rest of the story. I certainly enjoyed sharing my vision for MHA with you. Who needs therapy when you can viciously rewrite canon?
A few things to note:
-I forgot to mention that the League of Villains were apprehended in what would be this story's version of Kamino Ward. Without Kurogiri, there was no way for them to escape so they were all taken into custody except for Dr. Garaki and Giran. For some reason I never wrote that in the story because I'm a smooth brain. Sorry about that :/ This also means that the Meta Liberation Army never lures them to Deika City
-I don't think I ever explicitly said this, but Kurogiri was captured by Aizawa and Midnight. Midnight knocked him out while Aizawa used his scarf (also using his quirk to stop him from escaping). That's why they were there that night
-Another thing I forgot to mention is that Nezu keeping Bakugou in UA means that he'll be able to keep an eye on him to stop him from becoming a villain or vigilante. Also, he wouldn't be able to become one without mommy and daddy's money, and Masaru will be monitoring his credit cards very closely. At least, that's how I envision it
-ALL of 1A gets their provisional licenses, none of that bullshit of holding Todoroki back to stop Bakugou from being the only one to fail. That shit actually pissed me off fr (also with Toga being in juvie, she doesn't kidnap and impersonate Camie, so there's no whack ass moments between her and Midoriya that only serve to make Uraraka jealous)
-Midoriya still joins Mirio in working under Nighteye, except he doesn't stand for being insulted and told he doesn't deserve his quirk. He walks out immediately and Nighteye gets a lovely call from All Might about undermining his son's worth. It's glorious (I might write a one-shot about it if anyone's interested)
-Momo works with the Fat Gum Agency (because what the fuck Horikoshi, their quirks are so similar why do you hate Momo) along with Kirishima and Amajiki
-The plan to rescue Eri still goes the same in canon, just without the League's intervention and the addition of Momo. Unfortunately, we don't get the privilege of seeing Shigaraki cut off Overhaul's hands *sigh*
And that's all I got for this universe. As many of you might know I haven't read the manga, so this is as far as I can go when it comes to rewriting canon. Just know that some way, shape, or form Endeavor eventually gets his license revoked and thrown in jail. When or how this happens I couldn't say, but maybe I'll make a fic of that too. I also wouldn't be adverse to writing some Deku Squad one-shots about them becoming the Top Five and maybe even forming their own agency.
Thank you again for all the favorites, follows, kudos, and review! It all means so much to me! Stay cool everyone!
