It's a sunny day in Orlando, Florida. We see three kids walking home from school named Lincoln Loud, Clyde McBribe, Ronnie Anne Santiago and Sid Chang. "So you guys got any plans for the weekend?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"I'm free this weekend." Clyde said.
"Same here. Why?" Lincoln said.
"I figure we catch a movie and go to the arcade tomorrow?" Ronnie Anne suggested.
"Sounds like a great idea." Sid said.
"Well I need it. I need some free time from my dad and his girlfriend Rita." Lincoln said.
"Do you hate your dad's new girlfriend?" Clyde asked.
"No, I just feel uncomfortable when I'm around her." Lincoln replied.
"Uncomfortable how?" Sid asked.
"I don't know? I just feel uncomfortable." Lincoln said. "It's like I barely know her."
"Maybe you should try and get to know her." Clyde said.
"I guess I can try." Lincoln said.
Once they reach Lincoln's apartment, he says good bye to his friends and walks up the stairs to the second floor to 2A. He opens the door and sees his dad Lynn. Who's wears a sea green sweater over a light green checkered collar and cuffs, brown slacks and shoes. He has a long pointy nose, brown eyebrows, and curly brown hair that is thinning on the top.
"Hey kiddo ho was school?" Lynn asked.
"It was okay." Lincoln replied. He hears the toilet flushing and the bathroom door opens up revealing a woman wearing a salmon buttoned shirt with a white collar and cuffs, dark mauve pants and black flats. She has medium length blonde hair and white earrings. She also wears light blue eyeshadow and red lipstick. She has bags under her eyes.
"Oh hi Lincoln." The woman greeted.
"Oh hey Rita." Lincoln replied disinterested. "I'll be in my room putting my stuff away, I'm going to meet my friends at the movies."
"Actually Lincoln. We need to to talk to you." Lynn said as he gestured Lincoln to sit down on the chair. Lincoln walks to the chair and sits down.
"Um, you're not sending me to military school are you?" Lincoln asked.
"No. Your father and I would never do that." Rita said.
"No way Lincoln. Besides we need you for the next few months." Lynn said.
"Why? What's in a few months?" Lincoln asked.
"Well your father and I are getting married!" Rita said excited as she showed Lincoln a gold ring on her right ring finger.
"Wait what?!" Lincoln questioned.
"She's going to be your stepmother." Lynn said.
Lincoln didn't even say anything he hears the word stepmother echo through her head.
Meanwhile at the movies, Lincoln, Clyde, Ronnie Anne and Sid are in line getting popcorn. "She's going to be my new stepmom!" Lincoln exclaimed. "Rita is going to be my new stepmom!"
"Oh come Lincoln it's not going to be that bad." Ronnie Anne said. "At least she won't be like those evil stepmothers."
"Yeah but I don't want a new stepmom." Lincoln said. "It's like she's a replacement for my real mom."
"I think you're overreacting Lincoln." Clyde said.
"I'm with Clyde on this one." Sid said. "Besides she seems like a nice person."
"Yeah but she has nine daughters." Lincoln said.
"Whoa!" Clyde, Ronnie Anne and Sid exclaimed.
"Yeah I know. Imagine sharing a bathroom with nine girls?" Lincoln asked.
"That'll be a pain and I can relate. My apartment doesn't even have a lock on the bathroom door." Ronnie Anne said.
"Ugh don't remind me." Sid said. "I walked in when Hector as taking a shower." Sid shuddered.
Meanwhile with Lynn and Rita the new engaged couple were eating dinner. Lynn made beef stroganoff and they were discussing wedding plans. But Rita had other things on her mind. "Lynn, I don't think your son likes me?" Rita stated.
Lynn put down his fork and sighed. "I noticed it too. I'm sorry Rita, he's still not convinced of getting a new mom. But give them time, heck it took your daughters time to get used to me." said Lynn.
"I know. But it's one kid and yet he's having a hard time getting used to me." Rita said.
"We have been dating for two years now and I figured he would warm up to you. But I was wrong." Lynn said.
That is when a idea came to Rita's head. I have an idea on the weekend before the wedding, I'll invite Lincoln to spend Spring break with me and my daughters." said Rita.
"I don't know Rita. Are you sure he's ready to learn your secret?" Lynn asked.
"He has to learn at some point. Besides I want him and my girls to get along." Rita said.
"If you say so." Lynn replied.
A few months have passed as Lynn and Rita prepare for their wedding, Lynn has already picked a suit with him and his friends as did Lincoln. Rita has already picked a wedding dress. They already picked the food, the music and flowers for wedding and the reception.
But Lincoln was less than excited about the wedding and he wasn't going to like the news he's about to receive.
"You're sending me to Rita's?!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"You get to spend Spring Break with your future stepmother and stepsisters! Think of it as an experience." said Lynn.
"I'm not going and that's final." Lincoln said as he crossed his arms.
"Look kido. She's not trying to replace your mother. I miss her too, but I have to move on and I think you should too, you know for her." Lynn said. "Let's move on together."
"Alright dad." Lincoln sighed. "For mom."
"Atta boy kido." Lynn said.
Once Rita drove up to pick up Lincoln, Lincoln placed his suitcase in the back and drove off with Rita. Once the two reached a beach house they exited the car and walked inside.
"Ok Lincoln. I need you to change into your swim trunks." Rita said.
"Why are we going to the beach?" Lincoln asked.
"You can say that." Rita smirked.
Sometime later Lincoln gets changed into a pair of orange swim trunks, he sees a bottle of green liquid that says drink it. Love Rita. Lincoln drinks get green liquid and gags. "Tastes like rotten kale!" Lincoln exclaimed.
He walks towards the beach where Rita is waiting for him. "Ok now what?" Lincoln asked.
"Ok did you drink the green liquid?" Rita asked.
"Yes and it was gross." Lincoln replied.
"You'll get use to it. Lincoln there's something I haven't told you." Rita said. "The only person who knows is your father."
"You're not going to kill me are you?" Lincoln asked as he gulped.
"No. I'm going to show you!" Rita said as she picked up Lincoln and ran into the water. Once the two surfaced Lincoln looked down and saw that Rita looked different. She has a golden tiara on her head with green jewels, two gold bracelets on her wrists. But the difference difference that her clothes disappeared and were repaired by a salon pink seashell bra and her legs are now a big fish tale with reddish pink take with pink fins.
"You're a mermaid!?" Lincoln exclaimed.
"Not so loud." Rita shushed Lincoln. "Yes I am and not just any mermaid but the Queen of Atlantis."
"So I'm spending Spring break in a underwater city?" Lincoln asked.
"Yea and don't worry the potion you drank will help you breath and talk underwater." Rita explained. "Now hold on tight,." Rita grabbed Lincoln's hand and they both dived into the water.
Ok yes Rita and the nine Loud sisters will be Lincoln's stepfamily. I figured why not. What would this mean for Lincoln since his future stepmom rules Atlantis find out next time. Please read and review.
