Chapter 1: That new girl...ummm...she ain't normal...

Harry sat on the main grounds in silence, watching as the giant squid slowly made its way toward a boy named Draco Malfoy, a Slytherin in his own year, who was throwing loaves of bread at the lake dweller. Harry watched in a amusement as the giant squid wrapped its massive, slimy tentacle around Draco's waist, and squeezed till Draco's head popped off. AN: Okay, so maybe his head didn't really pop off, but it sure is the most appealing sceanario, though maybe not the most realistic...but it makes us wonder..can reality be based on appeal? And if it could...would I be Queen of Australia? Analyze. Discuss. Harry watched in amusement as the giant squid created a huge wave and knocked down Draco and his cronies, Crabbe and Goyle. AN: okay...let's try this one more time Harry watched in amusement as Professor McGonagall stormed across the grounds and pulled Draco (by his ear) to the Headmaster's office. Harry felt a smile itching at his lips;but he didn't get to experience the satisfaction of showing Draco a huge, mocking smile, because he was too busy trying to keep his jaw from hitting his chest.

A girl was sweeping across Hogwart's grounds. And yet it was curious how she could sweep when she was wearing jeans bigger than the ones Aunt Petunia had given Harry from Dudly's old clothes pile. They were huge, black jeans with chains and bondage straps hanging all over them. Her shirt was black with white lettering across the front that he couldn't quite read from so far away. Her hair was dark auburn...and he was almost positive she had dyed the tips black, or dark blue, unless the tips of her hair were wet; he couldn't tell. She turned into a corrider to the far left of Harry.

He scrambled up from where he sat and rushed over to the corridor she had disappeared into. However, as he turned the corner, he was shocked to find her standing right behind the wall, already watching at him as if expecting him. She stared at him for several seconds. Her eyes were deep brown; she moved her head slighty, and the sun shone on them, making them an auburn color. Harry could see now, the tips of her hair were dyed black. Her shirt read, "My cat is my best friend." She kept staring at him. Harry felt akward, just standing there. He held out his hand,

"Hi, I'm..Ha-Harry...I haven't seen you around here before...Are you new?" the girl said nothing, but she cocked her head to the right, looking at him questionably. "Umm...right...well..have a nice day!" he said quickly before turning on his heel and rushing away from the girl. He looked behind him only once. The girl opened her mouth as if to say something, but then seemed to change her mind and watched him run away.

Harry stopped only when he had run into the Griffyndor common room. He felt as though he had just escaped from being burnt to a crisp by a Hungarian Horntail. That girl had scared him. He could still feel her eyes burning into him, never looking away. As if she saw something that she couldn't let her attention pass by. Harry shuddered. He'd have to do something to take his mind off things, so he picked up his shot gun and set out to find Draco. AN: okay...maybe he's not that desperate to get her out of his mind... He'd have to do something to take his mind off things, he picked up his broom and whacked a third year over the head with it. AN: hmmmm... He'd have to do something to get his mind off things, he picked up his broom and headed out to the grounds again.

---Okay end of chapter 1...I know it's not long...and it's not interesting...but hey! It might get better! Just hold in there...
