Okay, I'm basically redoing the entire RPG World Tournament. If you didn't see the first version, don't worry, you didn't miss much. Anyway, here's the intro.

-------

All across the omniverse...

Gobli sat up in his bed. He knew today was the day he had been expecting, the day he had spent the past 8 months preparing for. He walked over to his telephone and stood, awaiting the call he expected. Sure enough, it rang after only a few seconds.

"Hey, Gobli!" Said the voice on the other end. Gobli recognized it as his creator, The Creator. He continued, "Feeling good about today?"

Gobli nodded emphatically.

"Well, you'll be happy to know that I've made all the preparations. I've made a Warp Gate in the Zomar Citadel; you can meet up with Mark and Neko there. Have a nice trip. beep"

Gobli put the phone down and jumped in happiness. He rushed to gather up all his equipment and reach the citadel in the Zomar Forest.

Legendary heroes are gathering...

"Fuel settings?"

"Fuel gague is at maximum capacity."

Lucca looked down and crossed another item off her list?

"System check?" she continued.

"All systems are in working order." responded Robo.

Lucca crossed off another item.

"Current course?"

"No course is set, Lucca."

"Okay, who has the note with them?" inquired Lucca.

"I've got it right here," responded Marle, "it says we need to go through route X355, Y56, Z868."

"Great. You got that, Crono?"

Crono nodded and adjusted some of the controls on his console. He then turned to Lucca and gave her a thumbs-up.

"Alright, that's everything. Let's get going!"

Crono pressed one final button, commanding the Epoch to extend its wings and go rocketing off through time and space.

To meet with one another...

"I don't know," said Ness, "are you sure this thing is going to work?"

"My dad's the best scientist in the world!" responded Jeff, "Of course it'll work right."

Ness wasn't entirely convinced. "That's what you said the last time, isn't it?"

Jeff replied "The Phase Distorter V? That worked perfectly, remember?"

"Not that one," corrected Ness, "the one after that. The automatic bacon maker."

Jeff shuddered. "I was trying to forget that experience."

"Oh. Sorry." said Ness.

There was a short silence. Poo broke the silence. "So, have you developed any new psychic techniques?"

Ness turned his head. "Maybe. You'll have to wait until we get to fight to find out."

"I hope you have," said Poo, "because the other fighters have surely spent their time training as well."

"Hey, guys! I'm here!" interjected Paula, who had just arrived.

Jeff stood up. "Perfect timing. I just finished the machine, so we can leave anytime. Did you ge all of your supplies?"

"Yep, got everything I could carry."

"Okay then. Let's see if this thing works."

To test their strength...

"I'm still not sure about this, Mag;" said Gre, "we don't know anything about the tournament or its host."

"It's like I said a week ago, there's no reason to worry, so you shouldn't." was Mag's reply.

"We really need a break from all the dungeon exploring." interjected Linear.

"Besides," added Mag, "if we don't go we'll never find out what the Ultimate Item they're offering as a prize is."

"That's exactly what's worrying me!" said Gre, "We don't know what the prize is! It could be a false rumor designed to lure us into a trap! Or worse, it could be cursed!"

"I think you've been watching too many cartoons lately."

And win the ultimate prize!

Well, this is just an intro. The actual tournament is going to involve teams from various RPGs. If there's anyone you'd like to see in, tell me in a review!
