This is my first fic so go easy on my please! R&R PLEASE!
This is an AU fic in the year 1997. Inu-Yasha and Kagome are next door neighbors and are good friends. (Shockers) Kagome is entering a battle of the bands contest and wants to teach Inu-Yasha to play the drums for there can't be a one person band. But he gets a little pissed off because his girl friend (Kikyo) left him. Will they win and will Inu-Yasha behave well enough to learn the drums?
Getting Started
"Kagome, do I have to?" Inu-Yasha said in a whinny voice.
"Yes! You know the competition is in a few days!!" Kagome exclaimed and waved her hands in his face. There was a battle of the band competition and Kagome had entered. The prize was to first of all, get a pretty darn good reputation (and that was good those days), and one billion yen. (One million dollars in American currency.)
"Aren't you excited?!" Kagome said in her happy little voice. Inu-Yasha rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Well we need to prepare and write a song." he said, tapping on the drum with his long finger nail.
"…THAT'S IT!!!" Kagome yelled disrupting the entire house. "You can play the drums, and I'll play the guitar!"
"Well you know the story, Kikyo broke up with me and right know I can't bang on anything or else I'll go crazy!" InuYasha snapped impatiently, getting really annoyed at Kagome's happy-go-lucky attitude. Kagome looked down.
"Can you get over that just try to play? You never know………….!" Kagome said poking him hard with her guitar pick.
"OUCH! Okey, calm down! Fine. Maybe I'll give it a go." Inu-Yasha scowled. After a slight pause, he looked back up at Kagome and gave her a puzzled look. "What do you play drums with?"
"You use these." Kagome sighed and handed him thin creamy white sticks with a round-ish end.
"Chop sticks?" Inu-Yasha asked, tilting his head like a confused puppy. Kagome just laughed. 'This is going to be harder than I thought.'
