"I love him."

"I know you do darling, but some things just can't happen. We all have... Responsibilities to ourselves and our families." She answered him.

"It's not fair, I was happy with him."

"I know you were, and I was happy with Theodore, but this is the way it must be. Surely you understand."

"I understand I just..."

"What?"

"I just don't want this." He sighed

"I know you don't. None of us do, he'd like nothing more than to stay with you forever, but he needs an heir and I need to fulfill my promises." She said her eyes glassy with tears

"Those are your parents promises." He said

"They became mine when I came of age, and I am sorry. You know I am, and it's not like you'll never see him again." She pointed out.

"It won't be the," He choked on a sob before he could finish and she wrapped her arms around him, "It won't be the same." He finished

"I understand. Don't you think I feal horrid, breaking you up like this? I feel an absolute bitch." She confided

"But you shouldn't. You've been wonderful, you really have and I do love you for it." He said sadly

"Darling you must know it hurts me to do this."

"I know." He said letting go of her. They both wiped their eyes, and fixed themselves slowly.

"Are you ready?" She asked

"Yes." He answered

"Don't be glum luv, they'll all see it." She pointed out adjusting her dress. He forced a rather believable smile.

"We could have had such a damn good time together." He said opening the door for her

"Yes," She said taking his arm, "Isn't pretty to think so?"

"I love you Pansy." He whispered leading her down the aisle.

"I love you too Blaise. And so does he." They both smiled at Draco waiting nervously.

A/N - I guess by now you've gotten that they're talking on her wedding day, he's leading her down the aisle because her father's dead(convenient for me, eh?) It took me about 5 minutes to write out, I don't know where it came from but it would be lovely for you to review.

Also the the line "We could have had such a damn good time together." and "Yes, isn't it pretty to think so?" are from The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway
