"Hey Beautiful" said Jacob, his bare chest pressed warm against Elena's back, strong brown arms encircling her waist.
"Hey" she spoke back quietly. Hesitant. Sobering by the second.
"You okay?" he asked, dipping low, his chin nuzzling the top of her head.
"Mmm hmmm" she answered softly, Elena's feet leaving the ground as he turned her round to face him.
"Are you sure, sugar?" Jacob questioned solemnly, thumb grazing her chin, his earnest brown eyes searching out hers.
Then a cheeky wink. "We're having a good time, right?" he asked. Checked.
"The best" said Elena. And it was true. She hadn't felt so alive in... forever.
"Because, you know" he teased "we wouldn't want to keep you here against your will."
Elena smiled, then startled as Paul stepped from behind him.
"Speak for yourself, Black" he teased, then whispered in her ear "I don't want to let you go."
Elena shivered, her adrenaline spiking. She'd only met these boys tonight. These men.
They were huge. With personalities to match. Jacob with his easy banter and megawatt smile. And Paul with his brooding dark humour.
They were quite the handsome duo. And it seemed that's how they liked to party. Together.
Elena hadn't been sure to start with. Dancing first with Jacob. Then with Paul. They were equally flirty.
So when Paul said she didn't have to choose and Jacob invited her to come home with them...
Elena decided to live a little more dangerously.
