Giorno had no idea how the hell he ended up in Remnant. At first, he was so frustrated, he got transported just after he finally sat on the throne of Italy's underworld at 18. But seeing as Mista, Trish and Polnareff had secured the position, maybe Passione is in good hands.

'Wait... Is Trish even ready to rule such a large organization??' he gulped and tried to calm himself 'Don't worry... Mista is with her.' he smiled, Mista is a very capable man. Not neccessarily leader material but a very reliable guy. And Polnareff is with them in case they need some adult guidance. But he still wants to return to Earth nonetheless.

As he continued to look around, the world he was in was fascinating. Vale looks like an incredible sci fi setting he usually finds himself imagining whenever he reads those books to relax his mind from studying.

The moon was destroyed, much to his confusion and awe, he sat on a bench near an ice cream stand on the side of the beautiful river.

Still, the thought of having success within your grasp only to get fucking teleported to fuck knows where infuriates him, so he decided to buy an ice cream to cool his head, only for the old man scoff and berate him for trying to pay with Euro.

Giorno tried to calm him down, claiming he was just playing a prank. Using Gold Experience to pickpocket the rather rich looking man that walked by.

Giorno sighed and played it cool, casually showing the old vendor his wallet stacked with Lien, causing the vendor's eyes to widen.

"I am so sorry sir! Please buy what you please!"

Giorno rolled his eyes 'Now you act nice, just to make sure I return huh?'

...

Tonight is a great night for Trivia Vanille. Its the 8th anniversary of when she finally freed herself from her abusive parents. When she was reborn as Neopolitan.

So technically its her birthday.

Twirling her parasol, she paused and took in the sight of the beautiful night sky and river in front of her.

Sitting on the bench and crossing her legs, she smiled to herself.

"Good evening." she heard a voice.

A blond young man, offering her strawberry and chocolate ice cream.

. . .

Giorno was planning to try every flavor but as soon as he got brain freeze after his first bite, he realized that he won't be able to finish the other untouched ice cream cone on his hand, so he looked around and saw a young woman sitting on the bench nearby.

He sat next to her, and greeted.

"Good evening." he smiled slightly. She seemed surprised and looked at him like offering other people ice cream is a crime.

"Would you like some ice cream? I've ordered way too much and I'm afraid i won't be able to finish this." Giorno offered.

The woman didn't reply, Giorno noticed her heterochromia and unintentionally got lost in them.

Neo's mind worked to process hundreds of information per millisecond, questions of 'why is he starring at me like that, why is he giving me food?' popped.

Neo had been a very talented thief ever since she achieved her freedom. She became selfish as she felt that hard earned prizes like money and loots should not be shared or just given around.

The idea of charity is foreign to her, but it touched her heart in a pleasant way for some reason.

She cautiously took the ice cream and starred at it in skepticism.

"Oh come on, I didn't touch it." Giorno joked.

Neo remained silent (as if she had a choice) but raised an eyebrow, starring at the ice cream. She then started eating it.

Giorno finished his cookies and cream cone and tried to make small talk. If he is gonna be stuck here, might as well make a friend. He figured that she was mute by pure intuition, so he decided to refrain from asking her questions.

"My name is Giorno Giovanna, miss. Nice to meet you." he politely introduced himself, turning his gaze to the beautiful scenery in front of them.

He saw her move from his peripheral vision, so he turned towards her.

She was holding a sign that says "My name is Neo." starring at him neutrally.

Giorno's mouth fell, unsure of what to say. 'Where did that sign... Did she write it when I turned my head? Does she keep that sign on her person just in case someone asks her name?'

Neo frowned and looks unamused, raising a new sign out of nowhere "You're thinking of something dumb aren't you?" it says.

"N-No!" Giorno denied. Leaning back to peek if she has a bag with her or something.

Neo observed his features, he was very attractive, and his hair is weird in an elegant way. She tilted her head in curiosity as to why there are 3 hair holes on his forehead. She then wondered what his agenda was, unaware that he's just being friendly.

"Is there something on my face?" he asks. A blimp then appeared on the sky, distracting Giorno 'Wait, they use those as public transport?'

Neo has always been on her guard all her life. If she can't trust her parents, she can't trust anyone, so this guy is up to something.

A pervert? A new thief on the block? Whatever it is, Neo is 5 steps ahead. She pickpocketed him discreetly and she succeeded.

Neo stood up, catching his attention. She smirked mischieviously as Giorno reads the sign she raised.

"Thanks, Gino- its Giorno, miss." Giorno frowned.

Neo shrugged before skipping away. Giorno then wondered why she was suddenly in a hurry, and why his backpocket felt lighter. She even stole the correct wallet too (the one with Lien)

"Of course." he rolled his eyes. He was an experienced criminal, it was naive for him to think that just because this place looks wealthy, its not devoid of thieves.

He was impressed by her stealth though, to the point where he wonders if she has a stand. He stood up and started following her.

Neo knew he was following her, so she decided to head to an alleyway with a dead end.

Giorno knew that it was a trap, as the alleyway leads to a dead end. Either Neo is going to fight back or she can escape vertically on to the rooftops.

"Give it back, Miss Neo." Giorno calmly demands.

"Its not even yours, Goro." her sign reads.

He rolled his eyes, she was intentionally fucking up his name to get on his nerves.

"What makes you say that?" he replied.

Neo then opened the wallet and showed him an ID picture of the guy he stole it from.

"Okay fine. Give it back, I stole it first." Giorno said.

Neo feigned sighing in defeat, putting a hand on her hip and holding the wallet out. She waved it at him, much to his caution.

Giorno raised an eyebrow "Just like that?"

She gave him a small smile and nods.

Giorno cautiously walked towards her, Gold Experience ready to defend just in case.

As he went within arms reach, his 6'0 frame was looking down at her short 4'10 frame, barely reaching his shoulder. Her smug smile did not falter.

Giorno grabs the wallet but Neo suddenly shattered in to millions of pieces, causing him to back away in surprise.

The real Neo was behind him with some distance.

"So that's your stand, huh?" Giorno muttered.

Neo raised an eyebrow and a sign that says "Correction: Semblance." confusing him even more. She then took the wallet back to her pocket before sticking her tongue out to tease the interesting human in front of her.

'Maybe its what they call stands in this world.'

Giorno copied her small smile "Well, this is what mine looks like."

The wallet on Neo's pocket turned in to a butterfly, surprising her.

The butterflies landed on Giorno's hand before turning back in to a wallet. Giorno mimicked her smug gesture, putting the wallet back to his pocket and stuck his tongue out for a brief second to mock her.

Neo's mouth fell in amazement. It was the first time someone tricked her, the first time someone had the upperhand over her, the first time she got outsmarted.

Giorno felt a shiver down his spine as he internally cringed at what he just did. He hid it well however and said "Now please get out of the way, I don't want any trouble."

Neo's face was blank, her chest felt fuzzy and warm for some reason.

She threw a sign at him before disappearing.

Giorno swatted the incoming sign away in annoyance. "Huh, she left."

He looked down and read the sign "I'll see you again soon, dum dum." Giorno pondered in awe about how the woman communicates. 'I wonder if that's a slang... Definitely an insult.'

Giorno frowned after noticing that Neo took a large chunk of the money out of the wallet, probably a precautionary measure just in case Giorno gets it back. 'Smart girl. But irritating, nonetheless.'

He spent the remaining money he had on a motel.

Awed at the infrastracture, it was nothing like Italy at all. From what he had seen in magazines and geography books, there's nothing like this on other countries as well.

'Are those... Mobile phones?' he pondered as he saw people in the lobby with scrolls. Not one to be easily amazed, he was absolutely awed at people videocalling eachother. An 18 year old man from 2001, witnessing a concept of not only calling someone from a highly detailed touchscreen mobile phone, but also being able to see the person they are calling.

It felt surreal.

The old lady behind the counter cleared her throat, catching his attention.

"My apologies, I would like to book a room for one." Giorno said.

"Uh huh... Here's your keys, sir." she replied boredly, handing him a pair of keys.

"What the..." he mumbled as he saw a giant thin TV in his room.

"Is this a picture frame or..?" he inspected the flatscreen. "How come its so thin?" he asked no one in particular. This TV is screwed and can almost cover an entire wall, he gave it a tug however and it felt so unusually light, he would chalk it up to his well built body but he thinks even Trish can carry this object for a few seconds. Back home the biggest TVs that can be bought that he had laid his eyes on are those large bulky gray or black television sets that weighs one and a half Narancias.

He paused, trying to push the sad memories away, he sat down on the bed and grabbed the rather small rectangular remote. Pressing the power button, the dark screen suddenly came to life and Giorno (who was used to 144p, 240p, 360p) was exposed to 4k video resolution, causing him to jump back at how lifelike the screen looked.

It was a commercial about cereals with an athletic gorgeous red haired woman. Giorno was in awe of the detail. The box, her bronze armor, her facial features, her cleavage, EVERYTHING.

Giorno came in to the conclusion that he was transported in to the future, but discarded that possibility after remembering the broken moon. The pieces are just there idly while from what he had read, those pieces should be drifting away in space.

He switched channels, in awe of the color, the brightness and the quality. Last thing he watched back home was a rented DVD of Mary Poppins, which were in black and white, and now he's watching some book adapted film called Ninjas of Love.

He watched the film from start to end in silence and all he can say was "Well, they didn't say it was going to be an R rated movie."

As he lied down at the increasingly colder room, he proceeded to let his mind wander. Did today just happen? How is he going to get back home? What if there's no going back?

Maybe he can adjust to the world while finding clues on how to return? Its the only choice he has.

And if he can't go back home.

Maybe he'll just be a gangstar in this dimension.

But before all that, his first stop tomorrow is going to be the library.

The next day.

The door opened and a man appeared, eyeing him up and down. "We aren't open til 7 in the evening, handsome."

"Uhh, no. I'm looking for the public library." Giorno said.

His disappointment continued to grow as he found out that the building that used to be the publlic library is now a gay bar.

The only available library was the one on this academy called Beacon. The prospect of riding an air vehicle excites him. He folllowed a group of what he assumed to be students because they looked like they were around his age walking towards an airship.

Giorno paused and starred in amazement, it looked different to the ones he saw in Star Wars, but nonetheless, it won't stop him from riding it.

Giorno tried walking to the Vale Airship entrance but he was told to go away by the guards because he wasn't a student.

"But I would like to inquire for tuition fees." he reasoned.

"Nice try, bud. Inquiries and enrollment are done ONLINE. Now take a hike, Goldilocks!"

'What the hell does online mean?!'

"... Fuck!" Giorno cussed, growing increasingly frustrated as time goes on. He heard someone groan from behind him.

"Why'd she have to leave me in the air like that?" Ruby whined, apparently, Yang went ahead without her.

"Miss, we're still on the ground. Would you like to walk with me to the spaceship so you can finally say she left you in the air literally?" Giorno sarcastically said. He was supposed to use her as cover so he can board the airship, but he can't help it due to his circumstance.

Ruby looked up and starred at him for a few seconds, she glared at him before realizing what he said about being literal, giggling "Pfft, spaceship. What are you, a dork? Lets go, smarty pants."

"I'm sorry about that. My name is Giorno." Giorno introduced himself, feeling bad about being mean to this nice kid.

"Name's Ruby. Don't mention it. I'm guessing, nervous for the first day? Me too." Ruby asked.

Giorno's hopes rose, he felt like this girl has a kind heart, but very easy to trick and manipulate. Contrast to the woman he encountered last night. Maybe things will go his way.

"Actually, I'm just trying to inquire for today but those guards won't let me in." Giorno said, to fit with his early excuse.

"Oh! Those are supposed to be done online." Ruby said.

'Shit.'

"Ohh..." Giorno mumbled. "Here, see? Here's my receipt of enrollment." Ruby showed him her scroll and a digital print of her enrollment receipt. Giorno was once again amazed by the piece of technology.

The guards halted them.

"Hey, didn't we tell you to take a hike?" the guard grumpily said.

"Don't worry sir! I'll just drop him to Professor Ozpin's office." Ruby said dismissively.

The guards then asked for her to show her ID, before letting them in.

"So! Giorno." Ruby liked the way his name rolls on her tongue. "Which school did you come from?"

"... Which school did YOU come from?" Giorno turned the question back to her.

"Not fair, I asked first." she frowned as they found a seat. Giorno looked around in awe, and was happy that they are next to a window. "Sorry, ladies first." he says absent mindedly.

"Well I came from Signal Academy. My uncle, my dad, my mom and my sister's mom was an alumni and of course I just had to follow their footsteps." Ruby said with determination.

'That's one large family, but then again what do I know? Madre never cared about me and her husband was a bum.' Giorno starred at her, allowing her to get a good look on his face. Ruby finally realized that the man in front of him was very attractive. His hair looked ridiculous on anyone else but it fits so well with him, that it looked beautiful. And his emerald eyes are bright, yet mysterious.

"Wow, that sounds noble. What are their professions?" Giorno asked. Which snapped Ruby out of her trance.

"Uhh... They're Huntsmen? They studied here, a Hunstman Academy." Ruby said as if the most obvious thing in the world. She finds it amusing and adorable that someone who looks like this can be such an airhead.

Meanwhile.

'Shit. I need to pay more attention to my surroundings if I want to blend in. She's going to think I'm suspicious.' Giorno frowned "Ah right, of course. I was just joking around."

'Wait, what's a Huntsman?'

Are they poachers? Is poaching a really popular profession in this world? Giorno consumes animal products but he despised the idea of killing them for sport. He really needs to get to that library soon.

"So what about you? What brings you here?" Ruby asked.

Giorno remained composed, but he still hasn't prepared an answer for that. He felt like he was in Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

"My... Father told me to study here." Was his lame fucking reply.

"Oh." she answered.

The ship started to take off, making him jump.

Despite scamming tourists off airports, he himself has never been on a plane, let alone an airship. He had been on a helicopter for a brief moment when he fought Ciocolatta.

And he was actually on a plane when they fought the Notorius BIG stand but he didn't get to enjoy it.

The feeling of ascending in to the air felt unreal. He was actually in the air now, in a normal circumstance, not fighting some psychotic asshole, not being forced to gain as much height as he can or else get eaten by mold. He's here, chatting with a newfound friend, on a science fiction vehicle, on the way to school (that he was planning to infiltrate to use the library)

Ruby, with nothing better to do, starred at his face, who looked so amazed at the view outside. She wondered why his face looked perfect, perfect symmetry, perfect skin, perfect lips. She shook away those thoughts of infatuation, but it was all useless, useless, useless when Giorno turned to face her.

Giorno gave her a genuine smile. He's grateful to finally experiencing something pleasant on his stay here at Remnant. Ruby however, was smitten. She felt her face heat up 'Even his teeth were perfect.'

The moment was ruined though as a tall blond guy behind them stumbled towards their seat and puked on Giorno's lap.
