Chapter 59: Calling All Titans
(Middle of the Pacific Ocean, a few days after the fight at Paradise Island)
The sun shined brightly over the seas as the T-Ship flew over the waves. After meeting Wonder Girl and the Amazons, they quickly repaired Sora's ship so that he could fly with the others, and soon enough they were back in the air, helping out any young heroes and fighting the Brotherhood of Evil.
"Finally. After months of fighting the Brotherhood of Evil, we're heading back to the Tower. First, I'll play Mega-Monkeys 4.2, then I'll eat a tofu burger. Or maybe I'll eat a tofu burger, then play Mega-Monkeys 4.2. Or I could eat a tofu burger while playing Mega-Monkeys 4.2." Beast Boy said through his headset.
"Anything else besides those two things?" Ravager asked.
"Sorry, Beast Boy but that tofu burger will have to wait. We've got one last mission before we can go home." Robin answered, pressing a button on his dashboard. Suddenly, a hatch opened in every Titan's cockpit to reveal a spare communicator waiting for them.
"The Brotherhood of Evil is targeting young heroes. There are still others who need to be warned." Robin said.
"Haven't we already given these things to everyone we know? Titans East have them, Kid Devil, Kole Gnarrk, Kid Flash, Tramm the fish-boy, the Russian dude, Wonder Girl-"Beast Boy listed off.
"Not everyone. Your coordinates have been programmed into your pods." Robin said.
"So, the plan is to deliver the communicators to these other heroes and meet back here?" Sora asked.
"Exactly. Once we're done, we'll meet back here and fly home together." Robin answered.
"Can't we just send them a letter instead?" Beast Boy responded, balancing the spare communicator on his finger, and twirling it occasionally.
"It'll be done faster if we split up. Then we'll all be ready." Ravager said.
"And the faster we finish, the faster we can go home," Cyborg replied, excited.
"Maybe it's better if we stick together. I-I've been fighting those guys most of my life, and I'm telling you, you can never underestimate the Brotherhood of Evil's evilness." Beast Boy replied.
"This is the best way, BB. I'm sure we'll be fine." Sora replied.
"Sora is correct. I wish to make the haste so I can see Silkie and Stitch." Starfire replied, having a mental picture of the two creatures in her mind.
"Let's just get this over with," Raven exclaimed.
"Once all the Titans and honorary Titans around the globe are connected, we'll be ready. Anything goes wrong, I'm just a call away." Robin responded. Beast Boy let out an annoyed sigh in response.
"It'll be okay Beast Boy. We just have to stay safe out there and then we'll head back home." Sora said with a smile. Everyone nodded in response to the boy's optimism.
"Titans! Separate!" Robin ordered as the T-Ship began to split apart into seven separate pod ships. The ships soon split off in different directions as the Titans headed toward their set destinations. Sora was piloting his ship when he heard his radio crackle again.
"Sora, please be careful. I love you." Raven said through the radio. Sora smiled in response.
"I love you too Raven. Be safe okay?" Sora answered.
"Right," Raven replied. He soon heard the radio cut out as he focused on his flying.
(Meanwhile, in an underground base in France)
The large map of the world in the Brotherhood of Evil's base showed the Teen Titans, represented as green triangles, spilt up and flew to different parts of the Earth. The Brain looked across the map while Monsieur Mallah continued playing their game of chess while Maleficent and Pete stood behind them.
"Our young Titans are spreading out far and wide." The Brain exclaimed.
"But that will not save them," Mallah replied, setting down the black and white pieces for the starting layout.
"Grgh, why can't we just take these punk kids out now? We know where they are and I'm getting tired of waitin!" Pete yelled out but was silenced by Maleficent stomping her staff on the ground.
"Quiet yourself, Pete. We will strike soon enough but first; we must have all the players on the board. Once these children have recruited the other young heroes, then we will take every last one of them." Maleficent replied. Pete nodded in response and kept his mouth shut.
"Indeed Maleficent. Soon, they will join our collection." The Brain said, rolling his container across the room towards a set of elevated platforms. The lights automatically turned on to reveal the platforms to resemble a trophy display base, though instead of trinkets, there instead stood two figures frozen in place: Hot Spot in human form and Wildebeest, both stuck in struggling poses. "Hot Spot, Wildebeest…one by one, your young friends will fall." The Brain said, stopping his container next to the chess table on the opposite side of Mallah.
"Shall we play a game?" The Brain asked as Mallah made a move for him. Maleficent and Pete smiled to themselves, knowing that soon they'll be free to conduct their search.
(Later, in the Tibetan Mountains)
Ravager was climbing up a high mountain obscured by cloud and fog with a pair of climbing picks or pitons along with a rope from her grappling hook tied around her waist and shot to the top. She had a scarf wrapped around her neck and goggles on her face so she can see clearly and keep warm from the cold. She soon reached the top and let out a breath, collecting her rope and taking her goggles off to see where she was so far. She wasn't far from the summit, but it was still a long way up.
"So, this is where you've been hiding? Gonna be a little awkward huh? Oh well…I'm on my way, Jericho." Ravager said. Reloading her grapple gun, she fired the hook up to the nearest ledge, tied it around her waist, and started climbing again.
(Meanwhile, in Seattle, Washington)
Sora was walking away from his parked ship towards a nearby solar panel farm far from the city. This is where the hero Killowat was located based on Robin's navigation and it seemed right based on the small profile that came along with the place. He walked under some of the solar panels looking for any sign of the meta-human.
"Killowat? Hello?" Sora asked out loud. Suddenly, a bolt of electricity bounced across a solar panel above him and towards another panel. He stepped back in surprise as other bolts bounced from other panels and towers and started forming together into a human being surrounded by blue electric energy. The being took shape into a young man with blue skin, and magenta-colored lightning bolts running down his shoulders and waist that form a white circle on his chest and back. He had two other lightning bolts running from his eyes down to his jawline while his eyes are pure white with no pupils and black spikes around the corners of his eyes. He had no hair except for a magenta, lightning bolt-shaped tip on his forehead. He wore black gloves, boots, and underwear, all with the magenta zig-zag pattern above them. Killowat landed in front of Sora as he absorbs the electricity around him.
"Who are you? And what are you doing here?" Killowat asked, shooting some lightning bolts into the solar panels and towers to keep them powered up.
"My name is Sora and I'm with the Teen- "Sora said.
"Titans, right? I thought you looked familiar. What are you doing out here?" Killowat asked.
"I came to warn you. A group called the Brotherhood of Evil has been going after young superheroes and we think they might come after you." Sora said.
"Sounds dangerous. I'll be sure to be careful if anyone comes for me." Killowat said.
"Good and just in case you need any of our help, please take this," Sora said, handing Killowat the communicator.
"I always did want one of these. Thanks, Sora." Killowat replied. Sora smiled and nodded in response.
"Say, did you need help with powering the towers?" Sora asked.
"Sure, I could use the help." Killowat said. Sora summoned his keyblade and readied some Thunder magic.
(Meanwhile, in San Francisco)
Beast Boy was walking around the busy streets of the city looking for any sightings of his superhero, Miss Martian. He opened his communicator up to see a picture of her: She had green skin like his, shoulder-length red hair, and red eyes. She wore a long-sleeved black suit with a red X on it, black shoes, and a blue cape.
"Okay Beast Boy, you're looking for a green teen hero in a gigantic city. How hard can that be?" Beast Boy asked himself, only to scroll down to see a short list of her powers: one of them listed as shape-shifting. He then looked up to see a bunch of people walking by him.
"Nah, great." He said to himself while a girl with red hair walked past him.
(Meanwhile, in the United Kingdom)
Starfire flew across the night sky looking for her assigned teen hero: Argent. She looked below her to see a heavily cracked dam spewing water out and a red glow trying to repair it. She flew down closer to see the red glow emanating from the girl she was looking for. Argent had gray-white pale skin, unruly, short black hair with red-dyed bangs, and dark eyes ringed with mascara. She wore a strapless black dress with a scarlet skirt, black knee-high stockings, full-length fingerless gloves, a small hairclip, scarlet Mary Jane shoes, and a black ribbon around her throat. She was creating giant red hands made of luminous energy that were pushed against the cracks in the dam.
"You are Argent?" Starfire asked.
"Who wants to know?" Argent asked in a jaded, British accent.
"Starfire, of Tamaran." The Titan introduced herself.
"You're one of those Teen Titans, right?" Argent asked.
"Yes," Starfire said.
"Cool," Argent replied.
"May I assist?" Starfire offered. Suddenly, a loud crumbling catches both of their attention and they look to see a new split open, releasing more water. Argent disperses the hands and creates a giant set of vise grips, and she moves them over the cracks. Starfire readies her star bolts and fires a beam at the fault, welding it shut.
"I came to notify you of the Brotherhood of Evil. They plan to harm us all. They are quite evil." Starfire exclaimed.
"Hence the name. What do you want from me?" Argent asked, releasing the vise grips. Starfire reinforces the rest of the dam before flying closer to Argent.
"We do not desire anything from you. We only wish to give you this." Starfire said, holding out the Titans communicator to her and placing it in her hand. "If you need our help, please contact us." She said. Argent smiled and looked closer at it.
"Sort of clashes with my outfit. This come in black?" Argent asked.
(Meanwhile, in a Japanese village)
A full moon hung over a small village as Robin swung on a grappling hook and landed on top of a spire. His communicator suddenly vibrates, and he opens it to see Sora on the other end.
"Killowat's been informed, Robin. I'll meet up with you guys soon." Sora replied.
"Good work, Sora. See you soon." Robin answered. Sora nodded and cut his connection until Starfire called. She soon appeared on the screen.
"Argent has been made aware. I shall see you all in the near future." Starfire said.
"Great work, Starfire," Robin said, smiling. He cuts the connection and puts his communicator away. He then stands to his feet and looks around the village.
"Bushido?!" Robin called out, his voice echoing across the small town. He hears nothing for a few minutes until he hears fighting and swords clashing not too far away. He fires another grappling hook toward the commotion and swings over to it. He lands on another building and leaps to the next one to see his assigned hero fighting off a group of red and black-suited ninjas. The young man was well built with his long black hair tied in a short topknot at the back of his head. He wore a short, sleeveless white kimono with black edging and a high-wing collar, black wrist guards, a broad gray belt around his waist, black pants, and a katana sheath tucked into the belt. Bushido manages to defeat the ninjas until Robin spots another ninja on the opposite roof preparing to throw a shuriken at the other hero.
"Bushido! Look out!" Robin yelled out and the hero turned to see the ninja throw the shuriken at him. He quickly brought his sword up and blocked it, letting the ends of the star run up and down the blade. Bushido then throws the still-spinning ninja star back at his opponent, destroying him in a puff of red smoke. Suddenly, smoke bombs go off in a circle around Bushido as more ninjas surround him. Robin quickly leaps and tackles one of the ninjas to the ground, taking him out. The Boy Wonder pulls out his staff and stands back-to-back with Bushido.
"Let's make this a fair fight!" Robin said, twirling his staff, and with that, the two engaged the ninjas in a large group brawl.
(Meanwhile, in Mexico)
Cyborg walks into a large building to see a wrestling ring in the middle and a huge audience cheering and shouting at the current match. He looks down at the ring to see two wrestlers going against the hero he was searching for: Pantha. She was a brown-skinned woman with a mane of wavy brown hair. She wore a black-striped, yellow cat wrestling hood, complete with cat ears, black wristbands with yellow stripes, a black sleeveless outfit, and a yellow belt with a yellow P in a black circle on the belt buckle. Cyborg walks up to the ring as Pantha tosses both of her opponents out of the ring in a big crash. One lands next to Cyborg as Pantha walks up next to the side of the ring.
"Hi. My name is Cyborg. I came here to- "Cyborg said, holding out his hand to shake. The only response he got was the beaten wrestler slapping his open palm. Confused, he looks up, only to be met with Pantha smiling down at him in a wicked way, believing him to be a tag-team partner to the other two wrestlers. Suddenly, Cyborg is yanked over the ropes and thrown across the ring, making him scream out in fear, before bouncing off the ropes and falling to the ground on his back.
He lets out a small groan until his eyes widened at the sight of Pantha leaping towards him with her fists aimed at his face. He quickly rolls out of the way as the wrestler lands next to him while backing into a corner.
"I'm trying to give you this!" Cyborg yelled, holding out the communicator to her. She instead grabs his wrist with both hands and heaves him over her head and spinning him around like he was in a blender. "Hey! Cut that out!" Cyborg called out from his screams. He reaches one of his hands down and grabs her by the wrist, bringing his spinning to a halt. He then throws her to the corner of the ring, making the wrestler fall on her back. Cyborg lands next to her and holds out the communicator to her.
"Just take it!" Cyborg yelled. Suddenly, Pantha leaps towards him and wraps both arms around his body before bringing him down onto the mat.
"Why?" Pantha asked, in a Central or South American accent. Cyborg manages to free himself and pin her on the mat but then she flips him away and starts driving her elbow into his back.
"Your friend Wildebeest is missing, and we think that the Brotherhood of Evil might have gotten to him!" Cyborg said through every elbow drive. Pantha stopped her assault at the mention of the missing honorary Titan.
"Those guys got Wildebeest?" Pantha asked, surprised while standing up along with Cyborg. "Where are they? I'll go after them myself!" She exclaimed, cracking her knuckles.
"We just need you to be ready. Stay in touch." Cyborg said, handing the communicator to her, to which she accepted it this time. She nods in response as Cyborg walked out of the ring, while she turned her attention back to the previous wrestlers. The Titan makes his way up the stairs towards the exit as he contacts the others.
"Mission accomplished. I'll meet you guys soon." Cyborg said through his panel when suddenly he felt pain shoot through his back. He winces and groans before walking out.
(Meanwhile, in Limbo)
In a white space with red and black streaks and splotches all around, Raven teleported in a black sunburst as her soul self manifested in the strange realm, appearing as a black copy of herself with glowing white eyes, while multiple asteroids and rocks floated past her. She starts floating around the empty space before landing on top of an orange-colored planet-like sphere.
"Herald?" She called out, her voice echoing as she searched for her assigned hero. She walks around the sphere until she was hanging upside down. "You here?" She asked again, though got nothing in response. She floated down to a nearby asteroid slab and started walking down it, passing by some blue globs embedded in the rocks. Suddenly, the globs erupt from the rock beneath her in giant bursts of dust and Raven looks behind her to see giant jellyfish-like creatures with green slime all over them. One of the creatures lashed at her with its tentacle, though she managed to avoid the attack and land further on the asteroid. Still, only more creatures erupted next to her, making the Titan back away even more. She looked to see that a dozen creatures stood before her as she summoned her keyblade.
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Raven chanted, shooting a beam at one of the creatures, destroying one. Another of the creature's tentacles wraps around her and shocks her, making her scream in pain. She's dropped to the floor of the asteroid as the creatures swarm closer to Raven when suddenly the sound of a horn blaring echoes across the space as a portal opens next to her. A boy in his teens leaps out of the portal wielding a gray trumpet in his hands. He was dressed in black pants, long sleeves, a blue-hooded tunic, gray gloves, a blue cape with black lining, a black belt, a gray mask covering the upper half of his face, and a gray horn emblazoned on his tunic. This was the hero Raven was looking for: The Herald.
He blows another note into his trumpet, closing the portal behind him before playing another note, creating a new portal behind the creatures, creating a powerful vortex that sucked them all into the rift. The portal closed behind them as Raven stood up behind Herald.
"Cool horn!" Raven said as her savior turned to face her. "I came to give you this. In case you need any help." She said. He nodded in response before creating a portal for her to return. She nodded and started walking through it.
(Meanwhile, back in San Francisco)
Beast Boy was flying around the city as a hawk looking for any sign of Miss Martian, though for the past few hours, he's had no luck. He landed on top of a roof and turned back into a human.
"Nah! C'mon! Why is it so hard to find her?! I'd thought it be easier but no, had to be in a big city!" Beast Boy exclaimed, running his hand down his face in annoyance.
"Um, excuse me?" a female voice asked and he moved his hand away to see a young girl with amber eyes, shoulder-length red hair, and freckles on her face. She wore a white T-shirt with a short-sleeved crop top sweater over it, a shirt, knee-high socks, dark blue shoes, and a headband. "Did you need help with something? You look…what's the word…oh distressed!" the girl asked.
"Ah, thanks but I don't think you can. I'm looking for someone. A superhero named Miss Martian but she's good at hiding and blending in." Beast Boy said.
"Oh, and what did you want with her?" the girl asked, confused. Beast Boy pulled out the communicator and held it out to her.
"I just have to give her this communicator in case bad guys show up and then we can finally go home and put this whole split-up thing behind us!" Beast Boy exclaimed in annoyance. The girl took a closer look at the communicator to see the large T embedded in it.
"*Gasp* You're with the Teen Titans! Why didn't you say so?!" The girl exclaimed in shock and happiness before suddenly swiping the communicator out of Beast Boy's hands.
"Wha-Hey! Give that back! I'm supposed to give that to Miss Martian!" Beast Boy yelled, trying to take it back but the girl skipped out of his reach, and he collapsed to the ground.
"Oh! Hello, Megan! I forgot!" The girl replied before closing her eyes. Suddenly, her skin turned green, and her clothes shifted into her uniform: black suit, red x on her chest, and blue cape. "Hi, I'm Miss Martian. Nice to meet you!" the girl replied, offering her hand to shake. Beast Boy's eyes widened in shock before lightly shaking her hand. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out his communicator.
"Beast Boy to Robin. Can we go home now?" Beast Boy asked, wearily, making the other green hero giggle to herself.
(Meanwhile, in the Tibetan Mountains)
Ravager finally made it to the top of the mountains and looked back to see the clouds hovering below her. She took her goggles off and placed her climbing equipment in a bag before continuing up to the very peak. As she continued, she started hearing the notes of an acoustic guitar playing nearby. She walked closer to the source of the noise until she saw the player sitting on a large boulder surrounded by trees and bright, golden flowers. The musician was the hero she was looking for. He had shaggy blond hair and sideburns, wide green eyes, and a calm smile on his face. He wore a white shirt with long sleeves, a high collar, and a violet vest over it, black pants, calf-length, violet boots with gold bands at the top, gold wristbands, and a gold belt around his waist. Ravager walked up to him as he stopped playing and looked toward her.
"A-are you Jericho?" Ravager asked nervously. Jericho nodded in response.
"I am and who are you?" Jericho signed. Ravager nodded at the signing in understanding.
"My name is Ravager and I…" Rose said, signing before pausing. She remembered long ago when she first learned about the connection between herself and Jericho. When Slade was away one day on personal business, she decided to do some snooping around and she found a file that held information about Jericho: he was Slade's son. He suffered an accident when he was younger, thus causing his muteness and eventually, Slade lost contact with his son and where he went. The file also said that Jericho had some form of powers, but Slade wasn't able to take note of them before he left. Now he was before her with a look of peace and happiness clear on his face and she had the opportunity to tell him the truth and who she truly was to him. She took a breath and made a decision.
"…and I'm with the Teen Titans. I-I came all this way to give you this." Ravager said, holding out the communicator to him. Jericho gladly took it as the Titan continued. "If you ever need help or if someone comes after you, just call and we'll be right there, okay?" Ravager said, signing the last of her sentence to him. He smiled in response and nodded.
"Thank you, Ravager. I'll be sure to call if something happens." Jericho signed. Ravager smiled at the statement.
"Good. I hope to see you soon. Take care." She signed before turning and walking away. Jericho smiled and got back to playing the guitar. Ravager stopped and looked back at her brother, smiling at how calm he was.
"Maybe…some other time." She said before going down the mountain.
(Later, back at the Pacific Ocean)
Robin was flying his pod across the water before pulling out his communicator at the ready for his test.
"Calling all Titans. This is a test of our communications system. Is everyone ready?" Robin asked, as all around the world, every Titan readied to respond.
"We're ready in the north," Kole answered as Gnarrk voiced a grunt through the system.
"And in the south," Pantha replied as she pinned her two opponents to the ring.
"Estamos listos en el oeste!" Mas reported in from the west.
"Y el Este!" Menos reported from the east. Soon all the Titans: Aqualad, Speedy, Bumblebee, Killowat, Thunder, Lightning, Tramm, the Herald, Argent, Bushido, Kid Flash, Jericho, Hot Spot, Wonder Girl, Kid Devil, Blue Beetle, Firestorm, Miss Martian, Melvin, Timmy, and Teether; all honorary and current Titans check in on their new system. Robin smiles at all the Titans currently active on his map.
"All sectors are secure. Await further instructions. Beast Boy, everyone, we're heading home." Robin said through his communicator.
"Wahoo! Race you to the meeting point!" Beast Boy exclaimed.
"See you all soon!" Sora replied.
(Meanwhile, back in France)
The Brain stood next to the chessboard with Mallah on the opposite side in the base as one of the Titan's communicators was hotwired to his dome with several cables around it so he can hear every conversation the young heroes have. Now he knew the time was right to strike.
"Your little reunion will have to wait. It is time we start taking out their pawns." Brain replied as Mallah moved a black knight to capture a white pawn. "General Immortus, make your move." The leader gave the order.
(Meanwhile, in Britain)
Argent was finishing up the last of the repairs to the dam with giant red staples before finally stepping back, proud of her work. She lands on the walkway of the dam until she suddenly hears a noise behind her. She turns to see a large saucer-shaped craft flying behind her, with General Immortus piloting it with a smirk on his withered face. She walks closer to the rails of the dam before putting her fists up at the ready. Suddenly, several robot soldiers rise behind the General, making Argent's eyes widen in shock. Immortus remains silent as he gives the order to attack, as the robots fly past him.
(Meanwhile, back in the Pacific Ocean)
The Titans were each piloting their pods toward the meet-up point after completing their objectives.
"I've got all of you in my sights. We should be in range soon." Robin said, through his radio.
"And soon, we'll be home sweet home!" Sora cheered.
"Yes! Tofu burger, here I come!" Beast Boy replied, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
"Wait a second." Robin suddenly said, worrying everyone.
"Not again!" Beast Boy replied.
"Robin, what's going on?" Ravager asked.
"Don't tell me we're not going home!" Beast Boy spoke.
"I'm sorry, Beast Boy, but we just got an SOS," Robin said as an alarm blared on his map, pointing to Argent's location. Just as soon, Argent radioed in.
"Argent to Titans! I'm surrounded! She said through her communicator.
"We're sending help. Starfire, I want you to fly back and help her." Robin answered.
"Argent, I shall be there as soon as I can." Starfire quickly replied.
"Just hurry!" Argent yelled when suddenly they heard explosions and lasers being fired on her end.
"If she's in trouble, maybe we should all go and help her." Beast Boy said, nervously.
"No. I just got another SOS. Aqualad's in trouble. Beast Boy, I need you to go to Sector Seven." Robin said, looking at Aqualad's location when suddenly another alarm went off. "Huh? We've got an SOS in Sector Thirteen! And one in Sector Twenty-Seven!" Robin replied, shocked.
"We're all under attack!" Ravager exclaimed through the radio.
"Calling all Titans! Prepare for battle!" Robin ordered.
(Meanwhile, back in France)
The world map soon started lighting up with multiple SOS signals from all the Titans as the Brain and Mallah continued their game.
"It is too late for the Titans to save their friends." The Brain replied.
"It is all just as you planned." Mallah quipped.
"All of our pieces are in place." The Brain replied as all the villains moved into positions: Billy Numerous and Gizmo went underground to ambush Kole and Gnarrk, and Johnny Rancid and Cinderblock were sent to chase after Mas and Menos.
"We will defeat them on the land." The Brain replied.
(With Mas and Menos)
Meanwhile, Mas and Meno were walking down a two-lane bridge under the night sky until they heard a distant rumbling echoing around the bridge.
"Que es eso?"(3) Mas asked and they looked behind them to see Johnny Rancid riding right for them on his motorcycle. They quickly join hands and speed off down the bridge but Rancid changes into his powered-up form from when Larry, Robin's clone, arrived. With his new power, he quickly got up to the speedsters, who quickly pulled a U-turn to get away from him.
(With Aqualad)
"We will defeat them in the sea." The Brain continued, as under the great sea, Trident and Plasmus ambushed Aqualad, who was sent crashing into some boulders. He dodges another attack from them and tackles Trident, sending the two hurtling down the water while Plasmus swam after them.
(With Bumblebee)
"We will defeat them in the air." The Brotherhood Leader exclaimed as two villains; Punk Rocket and Angel; attacked Bumblebee over a metropolitan city. Punk Rocket was a young man with white, spiky hair and yellow eyes. He wore a black shirt, an orange, sleeveless jacket, ear piercings, wristbands, orange pants, and a white guitar that he was riding like a surfboard in the air. His ally, Angel, had yellow eyes with no pupils or irises and a silver helmet that covered her hair. She wore a red tank top with a blue ruffled turtleneck, a blue skirt with a silver belt, red high-heeled boots with silver cuffs at the top, and two white wings sprouting from her back. The two attack Bumblebee but the Titan dodges out of the way and retaliates with her stingers. Her blast hits Punk Rocket's guitar and he quickly spins it around before he falls and swings back up, quickly playing a powerful screeching note, shooting shockwaves at her, that send Bumblebee into free fall.
"Wherever there are Titans…we will be there to stop them. Evil will prevail." The Brain finished as he and Mallah continued their game.
(With Wonder Girl)
Wonder Girl stood in a fighting stance as Mumbo Jumbo and a villain called Phobia stood before her. Phobia was a woman with pale skin, and black eyes with no irises and pupils, and her hair was covered by a black hood. She wore a green cape and a yellowish-green suit with dark spirals on her waist, arms, and legs.
"You two seriously think you could beat an Amazon?" Wonder Girl asked with a smirk.
"Miss Phobia, would you like to do the honors?" Mumbo asked.
"Gladly, Mumbo," Phobia said, bringing her hands to her head. Wonder Girl went to charge at the two when suddenly her surroundings went dark. She looked around confused until she spotted an object that appeared out of nowhere. She ran up to it and took a closer look until she recognized the object to be Sora, frozen in place.
"Oh no! Sora, hold on!" Wonder Girl said, punching the ice when suddenly, his figurine exploded, knocking off her feet. She let out a groan and looked up, only to be surrounded by a bunch of other frozen figurines of the Titans. She held her head in pain before pulling out her communicator.
"Can anyone read me? I need help?" Wonder Girl replied.
(Back with the Titans)
"Sora! Wonder Girl needs back-up in Sector Fourteen." Robin ordered, reporting to every Titan calling for backup.
"I'm on my way!" Sora said, turning his pod to face the right direction and taking off.
"Kole to Robin! We've got trouble!" Kole suddenly reported in.
"Cyborg! Kole needs help in Sector Thirteen." Robin replied.
"I'm on it," Cyborg answered.
"Raven! Go to Mas and Menos in Sector Twenty-Seven." Robin called out.
"Right," Raven said.
"Beast Boy! Back up Aqualad in the ocean." Robin said.
"O-okay, I'll be there soon!" Beast Boy answered nervously.
"Ravager! Can you back up Jericho?" Robin called.
"I'll be right there!" Ravager answered. Back in Paris, The Brain continued his game while overlooking his plan come to fruition.
"My players will make sure the Titans never reach their destination. Mammoth to Sector Thirteen." The Brain ordered.
(With Cyborg)
Meanwhile, Cyborg lands his pod in the snow of the Circle as he disembarks.
"Kole, Gnarrk, I got your message. I'm on my way." Cyborg said, but before he can even take a step, Mammoth erupts from the snow in front of him and drops back down with a feral scream, planning to smash into Cyborg. Though that fails as the Titan dives out of the way. "I might be a little delayed," Cyborg reports into his panel before switching his arm into a cannon.
(With Raven)
On the other side of the planet, Raven flew her pod towards the bridge where Mas and Menos were located when suddenly a portal opened outside of her canopy. It soon opened to reveal the H.I.V.E criminal Kid Wykkyd appeared, landing on the Plexiglas. The criminal had piercing red eyes, a black headpiece with bat ears, a dark blue cowl pinned with a big white circle under his neck, a light purple suit, black underwear with a white belt, black gloves, and boots. Raven quickly pulls out her communicator upon seeing him.
"Robin, I think they're expecting us." She replied when she heard a swish outside her pod, and she looks to see an elderly man in a long black robe flying in a standing position next to her craft. The man turned to glare at her, revealing that the upper part of his skull was a glass dome to expose his brain that started to glow with energy. This was the criminal Psimon. Raven readied her magic with a clenched fist.
(With Beast Boy)
Meanwhile, Beast Boy was flying his ship over the oceans, about to head below to back up Aqualad.
"Okay. Everybody's being ambushed. But I'm not scared. Ha. My heart's not even racing." Beast Boy said, before suddenly hearing a heartbeat, confusing him. "Wait a minute. That's not my heart." Beast Boy said, feeling his chest. He looks out his window only for his eyes to widen and he lets out a scream at the sight of the machine, Kardiak, hovering over his pod. The robot soon starts punching holes into Beast Boy's pod with its metal blood vessel.
"Beast Boy to Robin! They're everywhere!" The changeling screamed into his communicator.
"Where are you? Did you find Aqualad?" Robin asked.
"I told you we shouldn't have split up!" Beast Boy yelled as his pod started skidding across the water while Kardiak clung to the top of it.
(With Sora)
Sora flew his pod over the ocean to the small village where Wonder Girl reported for help.
"Hold on, Donna! I'm almost there!" Sora said through his radio when suddenly dark clouds brewed out of nowhere above his pod. Thunder roared as suddenly, purple lightning strikes shot down and hit his pod several times, making it spark and set fire to his craft. It started falling out of the sky as he tried to control it and land on solid ground. The pod soon crash-landed on an isolated sandy island, making the pilot rock back and forth in his seat, though he managed to avoid injuring himself. He took off his belt and opened the canopy, quickly jumping out.
"Not again! Okay, gotta get to Wonder Girl." Sora said when suddenly a green fireball came flying towards him. He dodged out of the way as the ball hit his ship again as he stood to see Maleficent standing across from him.
"Maleficent! What are you doing here?!" Sora asked, summoning his keyblade.
"I'm seeing to it that our plan comes to fruition. And for this matter, you are mine, boy." Maleficent replied.
"You won't stop me from getting to our friends. I can handle you alone." Sora replied.
"You're already too late Sora. And I didn't come alone." Maleficent replied, slamming her staff onto the sand, opening a dark portal before her. Suddenly, the Heartless that attacked Kid Devil jumped out of the portal and charged for Sora, who quickly moved out of the way.
"You again?" Suddenly, another green spell hit him on the side, making him slide across the sand. He groaned and looked up to see the Heartless roaring and Maleficent chanting another spell. He turned his keyblade into the sword and shield form and charged at the two.
(With Ravager)
Back in the Tibetan mountains, Ravager was quickly climbing up the rocks to support Jericho when suddenly, a fireblast was shot at her from above. She looked up in confusion only for her eyes to widen.
"You!" She exclaimed as she saw the Master of Games hovering next to her with Blue Beetle's armor, Firestorm's flames erupting from his head, and Kid Devil's tail.
"Ah, Ravager! It has been some time since our last game. Would you like to have another go for the title?" The Master asked. She gritted her teeth and leaped off the rock, tackling the power stealer as they crashed into the mountain several times.
(Back with Robin)
The leader of the Titans soon landed his pod on a small rocky island and opened his cockpit before quickly going for his communicator.
"Starfire! Are you okay?" Robin asked.
(With Starfire)
"I am, but I fear that Argent is not," Starfire said, flying around the now-destroyed dam as water cascaded down the destroyed walls. She zoomed around but found no sign of the honorary Titan, only scraps of Immortus' robots. "Robin, there is no one here," Starfire replied when suddenly the communicator is yanked out of her hand by a fiery whip. She looks up to see a giant moth like Silkie was when he mutated, only Kitten was at the helm in her pink dress and wielding the energy whip. She whips the communicator to Killer Moth, who was flying a moth of his own, who easily catches it and holds it in his hand.
"Remember us, Robin?" Killer Moth asked.
"Killer Moth?!" Robin exclaimed.
"Say goodbye to your friend!" Killer Moth replied.
"No, wait!" Robin yelled. Starfire readied her starbolts when suddenly a large swarm of moths surrounded her.
"No one can help you now." Kitten replied, as she rose the whip into the air and brought it down on the Titan and the only thing Robin heard on the other end was Starfire's scream, making him grip his communicator even tighter.
"Starfire!" Robin yelled out.
(Back in Paris)
"Robin's strategy has failed…and one by one, they will fall." The Brain commented as Mallah captured a queen with a black castle.
"The young are no match for your intellect," Mallah replied.
"Indeed." The Brain bragged slightly.
(Meanwhile, in the underwater caves)
Robin quickly gave a call to Aqualad's partner, Tramm, who was staying under his seashell in the caves.
"Tramm! Help Aqualad!" Robin ordered. Tramm hopped out of his shell and ran towards the water, only to be interrupted by someone jumping out of the water and landing right in front of him. The intruder was a humanoid male with light blue skin, pure red eyes narrowed in a glare, and two thin antennae on top of his head. He wore black pants, dark blue gloves and boots, a black belt, and a dark blue sleeveless tunic with a light blue arrow pointing upwards on his chest. This criminal was known as XL Terrestrial.
Tramm backs up surprised at the criminal's arrival but quickly finds his resolve and raises his fists, bouncing back and forth around XL. In response, the Terrestrial presses the arrow on his outfit, causing him to enlarge into a giant. Tramm backs away and jumps as XL brings down one of his boots to crush him. Tramm swings around a nearby stalagmite before suddenly growing his body into a gigantic muscular form. He then rips the stalagmite off from the roof and swings it like a baseball bat at XL Terrestrial as he swung his fist to counter it.
(With Mas and Menos)
The twins continued racing down the bridge as Johnny Rancid raced right behind them in his powered-up form. Mas and Menos share a knowing glance, before separating their palms, making them slow down and Johnny Rancid zooms right past them down the bridge. They smile and nod to each other when suddenly the road below them breaks apart and erupts in a large boom, sending the two flying in opposite directions of the bridge.
"Mas!" Menos calls out.
"Menos!" Mas yells in response as they both vanish in the dust. The rocks and smoke fade away to reveal Cinderblock bursting through the bridge.
(With Bushido)
The warrior found himself ambushed by Katarou, who tried punching at him but ended up hitting the wall when Bushido ducked. The honorary Titan then uppercut him in the chin, sending the criminal rolling across the ground as he pulled out a pair of nunchucks. Bushido pulled out his sword in response and the two leaped into the air, clashing with each other.
(With Speedy)
Speedy was running through the forest trees as another figure crawled along the branches above him like a cat. The figure was a woman with long black hair tied in two thick bundles, a white mask on her face, and a green kimono. Speedy kept running until he heard a noise in the trees, and he came to a stop and quickly knotted an arrow at the ready. He looks around the branches for any sight of his pursuer not seeing anything until he suddenly spotted a pair of green eyes and a green smirk staring down at him. He fired the arrow, but the figure jumped down from the branch to avoid it and she lands on the ground as he gets a look at the mask, revealing it to be a Cheshire mask.
Speedy stares dumbfounded for a second before pulling knotting a few more arrows and firing at her but the girl easily cuts them in two with her sleeves before throwing the cloth back to reveal claws attached to her wrist guards. Speedy fires a few more explosive arrows at her but she flips and weaves out of the way before dashing closer to him and easily cut the bow to pieces with her claws while whipping Speedy in the face with her braided hair, making him back up to a tree.
The archer goes for his communicator and presses the button for an alert, but it's kicked out of his hands by the figure, pinning him to the tree. Cheshire glared at him with a wide smile before whipping her hair around to hit Speedy again, knocking him out.
(With Pantha)
"Pantha, you're closest to Speedy. Go to Sector Eleven!" Robin called out to the wrestler, who was still in the ring in the building.
"I can't." She relayed to the Boy Wonder as the robot, Atlas and the criminal Adonis stood before her. The combatants charge at one another and collide in the middle of the ring.
(With Jericho)
The musician skidded down across the mountain with his guitar as the criminals, Private HIVE, and the spider-human hybrid, Fang, chased after him.
(With Herald)
"Herald! Help Jericho in Sector Nineteen!" Robin called out to Herald in the surreal landscape. He was about to play a note on his trumpet when suddenly a portal opens behind him and he was shot in the back by an eyeball projectile, knocking him to the asteroid floor. One of the HIVE's students, See-More walks through along with the time traveler, Warp.
See-More was a young, brown-skinned, man with a green helmet with one eye in it that was yellow as the default. His uniform was a one-piece white and green unitard, green gloves and boots, a belt, and a black eye assembled in the middle as his symbol.
(With Miss Martian)
"Miss Martian! Back up Herald!" Robin called out.
"I'm on the way." She replied when suddenly a pipe bomb was thrown towards her and exploded, sending her tumbling to the ground. She crash-landed on the street to see the jewel thief, Andre Le Blanc, standing in front of her with a smirk on his face. He wore a white suit with a rope around his chest, and a belt around his waist.
"Quite the throw, oui?" He quipped. She stood up and readied her powers when the evil dragon, Malchior, suddenly landed behind her in a giant crash. He roared as smoke flew from his open maw while Miss Martian backed away at the smell of fire.
(With Cyborg)
Cyborg was driven back across the snow before firing his sonic cannon at Mammoth, who dodges to the side and throws a punch at the Titan.
(With Raven)
Raven flew out of her ship and readied her magic while Psimon circled her and concentrates on his energy. Soon the two fire powerful beams of energy at each other, which ends up in a giant beam struggle.
(With Ravager)
The Master of Games flew over Ravager as he slashed at her with blue swords from Blue Beetle's armor. Ravager managed to block the strikes with her bo-staff before bashing the power stealer away. The Master then focused his heat powers on the staff, making it melt in Ravager's hands. She quickly pulled out her blades and leaped into the air, clashing with the Master in mid-air.
(With Beast Boy)
Kardiak continues to tear away at the changeling's ship until the glass for the cockpit was destroyed. Beast Boy let out another terrified scream before quickly changing into a giant squid, ensnaring the robotic heart. The two eventually tumble out of the ship and into the water, making a loud splash.
(With Kole)
Gnarrk was being dogpiled by a bunch of Billy Numerous clones before suddenly erupting with a powerful grunt, sending the clones flying. Suddenly, Gizmo marches toward him with his metal spider legs. Gnarrk holds Kole in the air as she changes form and poses like a boomerang before re-crystallizing. Gnarrk then throws her at the legs, easily slicing through all four legs. The boy starts to fall before hitting another button on his controller, retracting the stumps, and bringing out a propeller and shoulder-mounted lasers.
He starts firing at the caveman as Kole changes form and curls into a ball, solidifying into a shield. Gnarrk takes cover behind her only to notice the Billy clones sneaking up behind him.
(With Killowat)
Killowat stood before his current opponent, Control Freak, who was using his remote to recreate all the villains from the TV shows he watched. Killowat easily punched through the villains, turning them back into static. Control Freak tried again and again with different villains but Killowat used his electricity to destroy each monster and outlaw until eventually, he shot the remote out of the geek's hands.
Control Freak rubbed his wrist at the shot and turned around only to find Killowat standing right in front of him with an angered look on his face. Suddenly, the Puppet King tackles the honorary Titan to the ground, restraining him.
(With Wonder Girl)
Wonder Girl managed to punch through another mirage, only to have it fade in front of her until she was tackled in the side by another shadow apparition. She rolled across the ground to avoid another attack before clanging her wrist bracers together, creating a large shockwave around her.
(With Lightning)
The elemental-themed hero flew across the sky as Overload flew around him as multiple streaks of electric energy. They combined as a giant bolt to strike at him, but Lightning managed to deflect it and swing the bolt away.
(With Thunder)
Not too far away from his brother, Thunder stood against two former members of the HIVE, Steamroller and I.N.S.T.I.G.A.T.O.R., a giant robot with a human face implanted in it, a HIVE insignia imprinted on the metal and giant arms that ended in large pincers.
The Titan charges up his powers and slams his fist together, creating a booming shockwave around his two opponents. They're barely phased though by it as I.N.S.T.I.G.A.T.O.R. charges forward and grabs onto Thunder, making him yell in pain as he's yanked off his feet.
(With Robin)
"Anyone! Does anyone copy?!" Robin yelled into his communicator. Getting nothing but alarm sounds from his communicator, the Boy Wonder fell back into his seat with worry and frustration evident on his face. Suddenly, he heard some rock shifting nearby and he pulls out a birdarang in response. He looks closer at the source of the noise to see a familiar Titan walking out of the shadows, wearing a red and black suit in his powered-down form.
"Hot Spot!" Robin exclaimed, putting the birdarang away and jumping out of the cockpit. He ran up to Hot Spot, who remained close to the shadows and kept his face expressionless. "Am I glad to see you! When I didn't hear from you, I thought you'd been ambushed, too. I don't how they're doing this. It's like the Brotherhood of Evil knows every move we're making." Robin explained.
"They do." Hot Spot said, but the voice that came out of him was not his, it belonged to a familiar woman's voice. Robin looks towards him in confusion and shock when suddenly he's sucker-punched in the chin, sending him skidding across the rocky ground. Hot Spot walks towards him with his arm outstretched in a long and unusual length, only for his form to disappear to reveal Madame Rouge standing in his place.
"Madame Rouge. I thought Hot Spot took care of you." Robin replied, slowly standing up after being hit.
"You thought wrong." Madame Rouge said, lashing out at him with her arms, though Robin managed to avoid her.
"How did you get away?" Robin asked, still dodging and weaving.
"Hot Spot could not stop me. You cannot stop me!" The Brotherhood member retorted continuing to grab at the Titan's leader, who continued to duck and dodge until finally, she cornered him against a nearby cliff wall. She tries to strike him with her hands, but he moves his head at the last second before pulling out a smoke bomb from his belt. Suddenly, her fingers pin his arms to the wall, but he manages to drop the bomb as it explodes, obscuring him in smoke. Rouge pulls her hands back to see she lost her target, and she pushes the smoke away to see Robin missing.
She looks around in frustration before turning around to see the Boy Wonder standing behind her and throwing a disc at her. She throws up her arms to defend herself, but nothing happens for a few seconds, and she looks up to see the disc embedded in the cliff above her. It explodes and buries her under the rocks, while Robin pulls out his communicator to call for backup.
"Your communicator is of no use." Madame Rouge replies as she slips out of the rocks with nary a scratch or bruise from the rocks. Her statement brings a sudden realization to the Boy Wonder.
"Communicator? The Brain has been tracking our every move with the communicator I gave to Hot Spot!" Robin realized, looking at his device.
"Don't you mean the communicator you gave to me?" Madame Rouge said tauntingly, morphing her hand into a communicator of her own, making Robin's mask widen in shock.
"It's my fault. I'm the one who got us into trouble." Robin exclaimed.
"Game over," Rouge replied, turning her hand back to normal.
"Not yet. I can still warn the others." Robin stated, making a mad dash for his ship, while Madame Rouge leaped after him.
(Meanwhile, with Sora)
Sora dodged another meteor summoned by Maleficent while the beast Heartless jumped after him. He blocked another claw strike from the creature before retaliating with a counterstrike, knocking it back. The keyblade bearer quickly switches out his keychain with Cloud's chain, splitting his blade into seven blades that flew around him. Maleficent teleported next to him in a burst of green flames and shot multiple bolts of thunder at him, making him dodge and roll before shooting a Blizzard spell at her, stunning the witch.
"Why resist, boy? You and your little friends have already lost!" Maleficent asked while the Heartless landed next to her.
"That's not true! I know we'll make it through this. You won't win!" Sora replied. Just as he said that though his communicator went off and Robin's voice played from it.
"Calling all Titans! The Brotherhood of Evil has been listening! I'm breaking off all further communication!" Robin shouted out. A few seconds pass until he speaks again. "Take care of yourselves. You know what to do." He replied. Suddenly, the communicator short-circuited and started beeping erratically, making him grimace in pain and drop the device as it sparked and bellowed smoke.
"No…Robin, everyone…" Sora said, falling to his knees.
"As I said. It is over for you and your 'Teen…Titans' and the end for you." Maleficent replied, readying a spell while the Heartless fired a large fireball at him. Sora lifted his head with a determined look on his face and a bright light shining in his eyes. He thrust his arms out as a burst of light erupted from his body, dispersing the projectiles heading for him. Maleficent's eyes widen at the burst of light while the Heartless roared in response. Sora's shorts were now red, and his gloves were white with blue cross stripes, a black jacket, and yellow boots, resembling his old outfit for his first adventure. This was his Limit Form.
"You're not getting away with this, Maleficent!" Sora exclaimed, getting into his stance.
"You should know when to surrender. There's no victory for you." She replied, stomping her staff on the ground below, causing a portion of the ground to rise into the air with her. The Heartless meanwhile roared as it glowed its afterimage aura. Sora split his keyblade again into seven blades and started zooming back and forth around the Heartless, slashing it over and over multiple times. The strikes from the blades stunned the Heartless long enough for Sora to slash at Maleficent's platform with an aerial barrage. The witch swatted him away with her staff, knocking him away from the platform but he quickly recovered and threw his keyblade at the platform over and over, making the other blades strike at it multiple times, finally bringing it down to the ground. Before he could attack her, the Heartless dashed at him over and over in a powerful aura before stomping down in an earth-quaking shockwave, making Sora fall to the ground.
Maleficent suddenly chanted before morphing into a giant ball of swirling light, flying towards Sora like a gigantic meteor. The boy's eyes widened before dodging and weaving out of the way of both the witch's attack and the Heartless constantly pouncing for him. He stayed on the defensive until Maleficent finished his attack before unleashing a powerful barrage of strikes on the giant beast with his keyblade and the seven blades. He then manipulated the blades to stab into the Heartless' side before spinning around and bringing down a final slash on the beast, making it roar in pain. Sora brought the blades back, making the Heartless fall on its side, before dissipating in a giant burst of darkness.
'That was for her.' Sora thought to himself before turning to Maleficent. She grunted to herself in annoyance before casting a powerful Thundaga spell at him. He quickly dodged out of the way before attacking the witch directly by leaping in the air and hitting her with five strikes from the keyblade. He then charges up energy at the tip of his keyblade before firing multiple projectiles at her, which impacted in small explosions, making her real back in pain and lean on her staff. Sora lowered back to the ground while Maleficent glared at him.
"You may have won but your friends will not be so lucky. Your time is over here Sora and soon darkness will rule this world! Hahahaha!" Maleficent cackled before disappearing in a burst of green flames. Her words snap him out of his anger, and he changes back to his normal form before running back to his communicator. He picks it up and presses any buttons, trying to hear anyone.
"Hello! Raven! Robin! Can anyone hear me?!" Sora yelled but got nothing in response. He fell to his knees next to his damaged pod and looked up toward the sky. "I need to find them. I-I just have to believe they're all right. I better hurry." He said to himself, before going to see if his pod was still flyable.
(Meanwhile, in the Brotherhood's base)
Madame Rouge returns to the giant base and drops a tied-up Robin onto the cold floor. His arms were bound around his chest and his legs were tied together. He struggles to break free before looking up to see Wildebeest and Hot Spot frozen in place on stands. The Boy Wonder looks back at Rouge with a furious gaze directed at her.
"The Brotherhood of Evil will be defeated!" He growled out.
"No, Robin." The Brain spoke up, making Robin turn to see the leader of the Brotherhood, Monsieur Mallah, General Immortus, Maleficent, and Pete standing before him while Immortus' robots stood around them.
"It is you who has been defeated. I have captured the king. Your pawns cannot save you." The Brain replied, as one of the robots dropped Speedy, Menos, Aqualad, and Argent to the ground.
"You have lost," Maleficent spoke up.
And that is the end! Ooh boy, I'm so sorry this chapter took so long, it's just that there is a lot of detail in this episode by itself, and introduces a lot of new heroes as well. Not an excuse but still with this chapter and a lot of stuff going on in my life, I really get tired out ya know? Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and onto the reviews:
