"Please do be safe, Mirlo," Yamul said to her daughter as the gang was heading off to free for the next kingdom.

"I will, Mother. Don't worry. I'll take good care of Narlo as well." The Waterdrop Kingdom's Princess said to her mother with a smile while holding Narlo in her arms.

"Gabiin~!" Narlo cheered, flapping his arms up and down.

"Thanks for offering to give us a ride, Princess Mirlo," Double-D said. "Ed kind of caused our previous ship to crash in a lapse of judgment."

"I said I was sorry, Double-D!"

"Well, it's a good thing we still have the rest of our airships." Bright noted as he, Altezza, Calvin, and Hobbes got on the Jewelry Kingdom Airship.

"Come on-a, Paisanos! Let's-a-Go!" Mario ushered as he and Luigi got on the Moon Kingdom Airship with Shade and Milky.

"To the Seed Kingdom next!" Tio declared as he and Lione boarded the Flame Kingdom Airship with Sonic and Kirby.

"Farewell!" Fine and Rein said together, waving Yamul and Pump off as they joined the Eds, Mirlo, and Narlo on the Waterdrop Kingdom Airship.

"Be careful, all of you! The Seed Kingdom was one of the first kingdoms to be captured by Bowser and Eggman. It's bound to be more heavily guarded than the others!" Pump called out.

"We'll keep that in mind!" Sonic called back.

With that, the airships took off toward the next kingdom.

"Babui~! Gabiin~!"

Ed and Narlo laughed as the lovable lump was carrying the infant prince over his head and running around in circles as Double-D talked with Mirlo.

"A friend of ours named Jimmy also is quite the artist. Perhaps at some point, if we can find a way back home, you two can meet." Double-D smiled.

Mirlo nodded. "I would like to meet him."

"Yeah, just be careful, he's a sneaky little weasel." Eddy frowned. "He once framed me, Double-D, and Ed for an act of vandalism we didn't commit!"

"Well, to be fair, Eddy, you did humiliate him in front of the rest of the kids first. He was acting out in justified anger." Double-D pointed out. "Though I do wish he hadn't lumped me and Ed with you in his revenge scheme."

Suddenly, an unpleasant smell wafted across Double-D's nose as he paled and pinched it shut in disgust.

"GOOD GOLLY OH MIGHTY! WHAT IS THAT HORRIBLE ODOR?!"

"Not I, Double-D! Ask Mr. Stinky Pants here." Ed said, holding out Narlo.

"Oh dear, he needs his diaper changed!" Mirlo realized as she turned to Eddy. "Can you steer the airship?"

"Sure thing, your highness."

As Mirlo got Narlo changed, Double-D watched over and couldn't help but admire how diligent and efficient she was in taking care of her little brother.

"I must say, that's a very good job!"

Mirlo smiled. "Thanks. Mother and Father are so busy most of the time so I have to take care of Narlo."

Double-D frowned, sympathizing with the Waterdrop Princess. "I understand. My parents...aren't around much either."

"Yeah, they're negligent bas-" Eddy was about to say before remembering there was an infant present. "Negligent...jerks."

"My mom is mean to me because she believes everything my Baby Sister says," Ed said, looking down sadly. "But I love my Baby Sister and she doesn't want to make Mom upset either..."

"Yes, Ed's mother...isn't exactly the best either. The only positive parental role model for Ed is his father and even he's a bit of a...how you say...lazy oaf." Double-D sighed.

"Yeah, how did I, the member of our trio who's arguably the biggest jerk, be the only one to have actual loving parents?" Eddy rhetorically questioned. "Seriously! Ed and Double-D don't deserve a lot of the crap they get."

"Gabiiin..." Narlo sadly said, having gotten his diaper changed as he pets Double-D on the hand as if trying to comfort him.

"Thank you, Narlo..."

Soon, the airships landed and the heroes disembarked to see a forest leading to the Seed Kingdom. Making their way through, they looked around to make sure no Koopa Troops or Badniks jumped them.

"It's quiet...TOO quiet..." Calvin noted as he held a hand to his medallion.

"I feel my tiger instincts kicking in..." Hobbes muttered, getting down on all fours and crawling stealthily like the jungle cat he was.

Suddenly, a loud buzzing was heard, causing everyone to get on guard and look around.

"What was that?" Fine asked nervously, hugging Rein.

"I don't know..."

"Wait...that-a sounds familiar..." Mario said worriedly as he zeroed in on the source of the buzzing to see...a massive swarm of giant bees with big cartoony eyes.

BGM: Trunk Twister (Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze)

"ZINGERS!" Luigi cried. "B-B-But what are they-a doing all the way from Kongo Island?!"

"No time for that, we gotta make like bananas and SPLIT!" Calvin said, cycling through his medallion as it settled on the Tech symbol before flashing orange, transforming Calvin into a magnet-headed robot with an electromagnetic energy wheel cycle.

"MAGNA CHARGE! ATTRACT TO ATTACK!"

Calvin wheeled forward as Hobbes picked up Fine and Rein, carrying them on his back as he ran on all fours.

"Looks like we gotta juice!" Sonic said, grabbing Narlo and Milky in his arms and boosting Tio onto his back as he dashed off.

"RUN AWAY!" The Eds screamed, each of them carrying a princess in their arms. Ed carried Lione, Double-D carried Mirlo, and Eddy carried Altezza.

Kirby took out a giant tire from...somewhere, and ate it, donning a red racing cap as he transformed into a bright pink racing wheel and zoomed after everyone else, Shade and Bright managing to hitch a ride on him.

The heroes fled from the Zinger Swarm, zig-zagging through the forest to try and lose them. Unbeknownst to them, as they were evading the swarm, the Zingers were shot down by high-velocity peanuts that had been fired from somewhere.

Soon, the heroes stopped to catch their breaths. Calvin remained as Magna Charge and aimed his left arm, which took the form of a cannon loaded with magnetic energy.

"I think we lost them..." Fine sighed.

"That was terrifying...!" Rein said.

"Well, we made it out of there. Now we just need to find where the Seed Kingdom is and free it from Bowser and Eggman's clutches."

Suddenly, the sounds of guns loading were heard as everyone looked to see anthropomorphic crocodile men aiming barrel-esque guns at them with glares. Leading them was a rather fat crocodile man wearing an army helmet and a big muscular crocodile man with spines on his head akin to a mohawk and an army-colored tanktop.

"We surrender!" Eddy cried, holding his hands up in a panic.

"Ol' Bowser and the Doc told us you'd be snooping around here!" The fat crocodile man said. "Alright, y'all are under arrest in the name of King K. Rool!"

"King K. Rool?" Fine and Rein questioned.

"Yeah! Leader of us, the Kremling Krew! Ol' Bowser owed a favor and offered to have us take this place over as our new home base!"

"We-a recognize you lousy lizards!" Mario said with his eyes narrowed as he and Luigi got into fighting stances. "We won't-a let you rule over this-a-kingdom, you scaly creeps!"

"Oh yeah, you and what army?" The big muscular crocodile man taunted.

"I mean, there's a lot of us, so..." Altezza pointed out as she readied her crystal rod.

"Babu!" Milky agreed, readying her moon rod as well.

"BANANA SLAMMAH!"

Before either side could make a move, a large hairy meteor crashed down, sending the Kremlings flying away except for the fat leader and the big muscular brute.

"Hey Klump, Krusha, picking on my pals, huh?" Spoke the meteor, which rose up to reveal it was actually a gorilla with brown fur and a red tie with the golden initials of DK written on it.

"Donkey Kong!" Mario and Luigi cried as they recognized their friend.

"That's a big monkey!" Fine and Rein cried.

"He doesn't look like he's part of the Ukky Tribe..." Tio noted.

"Hey, don't forget about me!" A nasally-sounding voice said as a smaller hairy blur zipped in and landed on Donkey Kong's shoulders, revealing a chimpanzee wearing a red shirt and hat with gold stars on it.

"Diddy Kong, too!" Luigi exclaimed.

"Oh, crud!" Klump, the fat crocodile man, gasped in shock. "Krusha! Attack!"

"You got it!" Krusha, the big brute crocodile man, said as he threw a punch but Donkey Kong caught it with his hand.

"I don't think so, Krusha! Mario, give it to 'em!"

"Oh yeah! Let's-A-Go!" Mario said as he took out his hammer and leaped forward, smacking Krusha upside the jaw and sending him sailing over the trees into the distance.

"Oh...uh...well, look at the time, see ya!" Klump hastily said as he dashed off as fast as he could.

With the threat gone, the Kongs turned to Mario, Luigi, and the rest of the heroes.

"Glad to see you guys here too. How'd you get here?" DK asked.

"We were called her by someone named Princess Grace because Bowser and Eggman are trying to take over this place," Sonic explained. "Long time no see, by the way."

"You betcha! Been a while since the last Smash Tournament, huh?" Diddy laughed as he and Sonic high-fived.

"Well, King K. Rool and his Kremlings had gone missing and we were worried about what they might be planning, so we looked around and soon enough met that princess you were talking about. She said they were helping Bowser take over someplace and she brought us here to defend it." DK said.

"We've mostly been sticking here since we kinda feel like it fits our style," Diddy explained.

"Can you tell us if our friends are okay?" Bright asked.

"Yeah! K. Rool and his Kremling creeps have set up shop and are causing all kinds of problems. We got the residents out and have made a safe spot for them to stay in while we free the kingdom." DK said.

"Can you take us to them? We need to make sure they're okay." Mirlo said worriedly.

"No problem! Follow us!" Diddy said as he and DK lead the heroes off.

After some walking, the heroes came across a small makeshift village settlement where the small denizens of the Seed Kingdom were currently residing.

"Fine! Rein! Everyone!"

Hearing the familiar voices, the Princesses and Princes of Wonder Planet turned to see twelve small individuals approaching them. They were the eleven Seed Princesses and their little brother, Solo.

"The Seed Princesses!" Fine and Rein beamed. "And Solo too!"

"It's good to see you're all okay-Pumo," Poomo said. "Can you tell us what this King K. Rool has been doing-Pumo?"

Gorchel, the blonde-haired Seed Princess, frowned. "He's holding our parents captive and is planning on turning the whole kingdom into an industrial zone of some kind."

"That sounds like K. Rool. He's never satisfied with anything jungle or nature-based." DK frowned.

"What?! That's not fair! You people can't afford industrial sites!" Calvin said. "We gotta stop him!"

"That's why we're here! We gotta take down K. Rool's operations and kick his big lizard butt outta here!" Sonic said, punching his fist into his palm.

"Well, we need a plan of attack, right? We can't just charge all crazy-like." Shade pointed out with his arms folded.

"No matter what, we'll stand and fight for the freedom of our kingdom!" Solo declared, holding out a tiny dagger.

"Still, we're gonna need a little extra firepower. Any ideas?" Hobbes asked.

Fine and Rein looked at each other and smiled, an idea already coming to mind as they took out their Sunny Luches.

"It's time to use the Prominence!"

"It's not just those appalling apes now?!" King K. Rool growled as he slammed his claws down on the armrests of his throne. "Now their festering friends have arrived as well!"

"Yup, that's exactly what I just said, sir!" Klump said, giving a salute. "We don't know how much time we have 'till they assault us..."

"I don't care! I've come too far to conquering this pathetic little kingdom and I won't be denied this victory! Bowser promised me that those meddlesome monkeys wouldn't interfere and I'm not going to let them take the chance! READY THE KREMLING KREW!

"You got it, sir!"

Klump and Krusha zipped off to alert the rest of the Kremlings of their duties as K. Rool stood up and scowled.

"And I will be joining the fight as well. This will be...MY FINEST HOUR!"

Using the power of Prominence, Fine and Rein had created battle gear for all the Seed Kingdom residents so that they could fight back against their larger foes. The Seed Princesses and Solo were even riding in a battle mech that was the same size as Hobbes which was made of magical oakwood and carried all sorts of weaponry in it.

"They took your home, your kingdom! Are you just gonna let them get away with this?!" Sonic asked the Seed Kingdom denizens, channeling his time as leader of the Freedom Fighters.

"HECK NO!"

"That's right! Let's-a-Go, Paisanos! TO VICTORY!" Mario shouted as the heroes all charged forward to the Mother Tree, which had the banner of King K. Rool stapled to it and was guarded by the entire Kremling Krew Armada.

"THE ENEMY IS APPROACHING! CHARGE!' Klump ordered as the Kremlings all rushed forward.

Hobbes pounced on a Kremling and began tearing into him with his claws as Bright clashed with another Kremling's mace using his Zap Sword. Altezza formed a barrier of crystals with her wand to protect some of the Seed Kingdom forces from the Kremlings' firepower.

As he was helping out Milky and Narlo as they defended everyone with stardust and bubbles, Calvin's medallion glowed bright green as he transformed into a giant tree monster.

"TREE REX! BE AFRAID OF THE BARK!"

"Whoa, he's huge!" Diddy Kong exclaimed as he fired his Peanut Popguns that knocked over some Kremlings in the process.

Tree Rex slammed his fist down, creating a shockwave that sent several Kremlings flying all around. The Seed Princesses and Solo used their new mech's weaponry, consisting of acorn guns in the wrists and an oakwood sword.

BGM: Gangplank Galleon (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)

"DONKEY KONG~! I'M HERE~!"

Donkey Kong narrowed his eyes and got on guard as King K. Rool himself crashed down, causing the Seed Kingdom residents to back away and some to even get blown off their feet.

"Stand back, guys. This lizard's mine!"

K. Rool grinned as he raised a foot and stomped down like a sumo wrestler while DK drummed his fists against his chest. Hobbes leaped down, grinning as he got on all fours.

"The ape and the cat think they can beat this big bad reptile? Go ahead and try!"

DK and Hobbes rushed forward as K. Rool charged to meet them. The three then leaped into the air and clashed fists, creating a shockwave that rippled throughout the entire kingdom.

"Oh my!" Double-D exclaimed as he took down a Kremling with a slash from his lightsaber while Ed picked up another and delivered a Tombstone Piledriver.

"That power is amazing!" Mirlo gasped as she swiped her paintbrush wand, creating a wave of light blue paint that froze the approaching Kremlings in ice.

"Your friend is pretty strong!" Shade noted as he fought some Kremlings back with his whip.

"DK is one of our toughest pals!" Luigi smiled as he sent a bolt of green lightning at Klump, shocking the Kremling General as he yelped in pain.

Back in the fight, DK winded up his fist before delivering a powerful punch but K. Rool thrust out his brass belly, absorbing the shock and redirecting it back at DK, who was sent tumbling back before righting himself and charging back into the fray.

K. Rool smirked and took out a large blunderbuss, aiming it at his nemesis before Hobbes pounced from behind and made him mess up his shot, firing it into the air as DK noticed and leaped up, grabbing the cannonball and then slamming it down on K. Rool, sending him flying through a horde of his own crew.

"Good job, cool cat!"

"No problem, monkey man!"

K. Rool got up and scowled before charging at the duo, leaping forward and donning a pair of boxing gloves before thrusting downward, forcing them to block as the impact forced the two heavy-hitting heroes to their knees.

"HOBBES!" Tree Rex gasped as he was nearly taken down by Krusha, whose brute strength managed to keep him pinned.

The Seed Princesses and Solo noticed after managing to trap Klump in vines before seeing DK and Hobbes getting overwhelmed. Deciding to help, they piloted their mech forward and delivered a flying Superman Punch to K. Rool's face, knocking out a couple of his teeth and getting him off the ape and tiger duo.

"Are you okay?!" The Seed Princesses asked collectively.

"Yeah, you girls know how to hit with that thing!" DK said, giving a thumbs-up.

"Heads up, he's coming back!" Hobbes called out as K. Rool charged again, fury in his eyes as he jumped again, twisted, and delivered a downward spiking punch.

"Not so fast!"

Shade's whip wrapped around K. Rool's punching arm, throwing him off-course and sending the Kremling King flying as Shade pulled. Kirby leaped up and took out a hammer before delivering a spinning swing to K. Rool's cheek, sending him flying over to Tree Rex.

"HERE COMES THE PAIN!"

Charging forward, Tree Rex leaped up and came crashing down on the Kremling King with a powerful elbow drop. Dust was kicked up as Tree Rex turned back into Calvin, who jumped back as the fighting stopped to see the dust settling...and K. Rool was defeated!

With their victory realized, the people of the Seed Kingdom cheered as the Seed Princesses and Solo led the heroes into the Mother Tree, where they soon found King King and Queen Flower in a cage held above a pit of ravenous Klaptraps.

"Our children return triumphantly and safely-Dane!" King said in relief as Sonic zipped over and swiped the cage he and his wife were in, placing it down before unlocking it.

With K. Rool and his Kremling Krew rounded up and imprisoned, the Seed Princesses and Solo decided to join the heroes in freeing the last two kingdoms in need.

"That was fun, being able to save our kingdom!" Ichele, the blue-haired Seed Princess, said.

"We'll stick around here and keep an eye on K. Rool and his cronies!" DK said as he and Diddy stood beside King King and Queen Flower.

"Stay safe, all of you. It wouldn't do my heart good to see you all hurt-Dane." King said.

"Don't worry, Father! We'll free the Windmill Kingdom next and make you proud!" Solo declared.
