Rios: couples of things I want to clarify this for everyone, V is getting a pairing I just not sure who yet… now for the timeline, Both David and lucy are younger and won't meet up until the accident with Gloria BUT that doesn't mean I can drop a couple of hints here and there of her, another thing is that I know the Arasaka course has been going on for some time even for gloria to be that poor with cash, even a poor man can afford a private school with hard work, that means that with V that Gloria isn't going to stop her from sneaking cyberware.

The Solo.
David let go of the breathe he didn't know he was holding, the woman was mad, her constant teasing and laughing at his expense was just horrible, stepping through the security scanners gates he continued to his class, spotting the rest of the class he pulled out his BD set and stepped onto the chair, sitting upright he glances at Katsuo, his bully was still petrified of whatever Valerie had him look up… Virtue, now he was accessed into the Arasaka subnet in the virtual classroom he looked around and listened to the AI teacher drone away about the arasaka bombings by the terrorist silverhand.
His attention was glued on the screen in front of him, he couldn't get access to Virtue but he did get access to some loose files in ACI, Arasaka counter-Intel seeing the files not necessary for a encryption allowed for anyone to glance at them, it was during the cold war of Militech and Arasaka where a sole Agent took out 20 'cyber-psychos'. The Agent's name was not listed. Meaning it could be any of their agents, but the report labelled the Agent as virtuous which stuck out to david, it says the Agent has retired though which calmed david as he didnt want to have some Arasaka assassin near his mom, as much as he hated it, his mom needs the help, he returns his attention to his class.
With Valerie.
Driving like a demon she sped down the many winding roads of Night city, her face never dropped its smirk. Her Caliburn sped out of the city centre and into Santo domingo as she arrived back at the Megatower where the Martinez reside, she can see gloria standing waiting at the entrance of the tower, slowing the vehicle into a drifting turn onto the path off the road, its engine shut off, the screens showing her the outside return to their default black interior, the door slide open with ease as Valerie stepped out, Gloria's face was one of shock as she was not expecting Valerie to turn up in a Caliburn much less a car at all "What, no 'thank you for driving david to class'?" Gloria was imitating a fish much to Valerie's amusement "When you said take David to class I was expecting you to mean like walk him to the tram station or in a Delamian like the one you appeared in, where do you even get a car like that?" Valerie simply tapped her nose, Gloria huffed at the response her childish response caused the merc to chuckle.
Valerie walked by Gloria and motioned for her to follow, both of the females stepped onto the elevator "Tell me Gloria, why do you want David in Arasaka?" "I want him to have a better life than mine" Valerie nodded at this and waited for the elevator to ding and opened the gates onto the floor they desired, Gloria stepping out first walked back to the apartment with Valerie in tow… they both stepped into the apartment and sat down onto the sofa "Tell me Valerie, why do you help us so much" seeing the merc freeze up, Valerie not thinking she would be asked this question sighed "Tell me Gloria, do you believe in reincarnation, time travel and all that..?" Gloria was about to laugh but saw the serious face of Valerie shook her head.
Valerie sighed before stepping up to the kitchen and grabbing a Nicola blue and her hip flask, pouring the contents into a whiskey glass she sat down "Valerie, what do you mean?" taking a sip of her alcoholic drink she looked dead into Gloria's eyes "instead of telling you, let me show you" "what do you mean" "I have a Military grade implant which has a BD recorder, it recorded everything since my days in Arasaka up until now" Valerie held out her hand out to Gloria "give me your link so you can see yourself"
Gloria being a bit hesitant let in, handing over her hand with her link she felt the jack in the neural port of Valerie and in her vision fading showing her…
Gloria's vision
Gloria was standing in a massive room with many terminals, its walls looked transparent with edges being a luminous blue, Gloria looked down to herself and saw that she was fine but everything about her was red "Welcome to my mind" Valerie's voice echoed as her form materialised as the same red glow as her "here is where you can see every memory of mine" Gloria was speechless once more, hearing the light chuckle of Valerie gloria looked around "But we are not here to look at my entire life since my Counter intel days, no we are here because I want to help you and keep david alive to see his firstborn daughter.
Turning around Valerie walked away from Gloria and pointed at the terminal with no label, Valerie's face was that of sadness… gloria stepped up to the terminal and looked onto the screen "This was my first major job, with my best friend Jackie and we fucked up hard, so hard in fact that it was only until he was dead that I realised, Night city will chew up anyone" Gloria watched the heist go perfectly up until Saburo was killed by his own son at Konpeki plaza, the growing horror as she watched Jackie slowly bleed out as they made their escape and eventually died in the Delamian taxi… the scene ended as Valerie passed out from exhaustion. "This can't be real… can it" "It is" once again Valerie motioned for Gloria to follow to another terminal "This is where I learned about your son" gloria nodded as she looked at the screen as it showed the afterlife, the bar known for being a merc hotspot, gloria was not surprised seeing Valerie there, It shown Valerie sitting down at the bar and leaning in, the bartender claire stepping over to Valerie "What can I getcha V? A welles?" Valerie shook her head "Saving that drink for special occasions as it's the only way I can honour him" the bartender's cheery expression softened "I get that, how about another drink, Silverhand? Martinez?" Gloria's breath hitched "Martinez?" Past or rather future Valerie asked "Yeah Santo kid, real softy… poor kid and nearly all his crew wiped by smasher last year, though El capitan would have more info," Gloria eyes was tearing up as her hand covered her mouth "Keep watching" the Valerie beside her placed her hand on gloria's shoulder "nearly all his crew?" The memory kept playing "Yeah his netrunner fled to the moon and their driver went under" "the moon?" Claire nodded and the memory ended "I went to capitan and got more information. Eventually got in touch with Falco, the driver mentioned… turns out the Netrunner was his Girlfriend" this caught Gloria's attention "Did you meet her ``''yeah" Valerie stepped over to another terminal not far from the afterlife.
Gloria didn't need an explanation for this one she stepped up, the memory playing on the screen was Valerie passing through an airlock, into a very white room, Valerie in the memory glancing out the window seeing an endless white rocky expanse and the earth in the place of the moon, the past Valerie was walking counting the rooms stopped at a seemingly random room and knocked.
The door slid open to show a woman, long white hair barely in her 20's stepped out "Lucyna Kushinada?" the girl's breath hitched before stepping away from the door but it left open "Name's V… I took after The afterlife after rogue" Lucy's eyes snapped to past Valerie "what do you wan-" she was cut off by a little noise coming from a crib that Valerie didn't notice, Lucy seem to appear by the crib and lift the small baby out from it "David's Kid…isn't it" "yeah, it's his daughter…" she sat with the baby and Valerie sat next to her "I thought you were still under your old designation" was all Lucy said "Virtue? Nah… stopped being Virtue after January this year." The memory was cut short but Gloria stood there shocked. "He had a daughter…" "he did"
Reality.
David came home to see his mom and Valerie, seemingly going through a BD, but it was only a moment later that they came back and his mom had tears in her eyes "OI! What did you do to my mom?!" his fury was palpable "Nothing david, she only showed me her story as shes going to help us" the lie was obvious to david but he didn't pry as it clear that his mom wanted to keep it a secret, Valerie drunk her drink and stood and placed her glass in the kitchenette. "David, let me tell you something, knowing you, you looked up me in arasaka right" Valerie asked and david nodded "judging by your looks it wasn't much but enough, what i'm about to tell you is something you must learn, What do know about cyberpsychosis?" David seemed to ponder the question "It's a Genetic thing right? like how much your body can tolerate" ''False" this caused david to reel back a bit "Cyberpsychosis is pretty simple but complex, you see Cyberpsychosis where your brain gets messed by your 'ware right?" David nodded "but what people misunderstand is how people can go psycho with one implant while people like myself can handle almost most of my body having chrome, as I said simple… It fries your brian if you abuse it too much or have too much but complex as its tolerance isn't a genetic thing rather it's more like a mental fortitude and how you are stress wise and emotionally, for me I have all the good memories of my friends and what I fight for, now also you and your mother help me from going Psycho from all the fucked up shit I have done. Now there are some exceptions, like adam smasher who by all accounts is just a brain in a borg body but how he is able to tolerate it simple he was already psycho before he went borg… the man was already a monster during the corpo war, so he is what's called a High Functioning Cyberpsycho…" she paused for a breath and let david soak in the information "Now David heed my warning, no one is special for chrome, it's all about how you manage your feelings and stress" she leaned into the sofa "So when the time comes for you to Install, remember those words" she finished her lesson for david and stepped into the now shared bedroom of Gloria and Valerie "No peeking now" she teased with her smirk now back on her face, this threw david way off as she was just lecturing him and now teasing him about peeking.
David had no clue what the woman was doing, not a single clue… but his mom might.
