The months went by after the summer, and in the meantime the girls were still chewing on the whole idea of the probability of magic being real, much to their shock, But it was quite noticeable that three of these girls had a very big difficulty to perform the basics of magic, being them Amanda, Diana and Akko, as if something was blocking them from performing those spells, while the others were progressing in their own way, even Lotte who was the one who had practiced the least was improving substantially..
In Luna Nova, the orphan girls were trained by supervision of Croix and now Chariot, having quite a bit of help, the ones usually staying there were Marianne, Amanda, Constanze, Jasminka and Sucy, they were going to take classes usually after school period still in a very secretive way, without revealing to any of the other girls that magic could be real.
Akko and Lotte, went from time to time to the orphanage also to practice, Yanson was getting better with each class, but Kagari as always was having difficulties, the same ones that O'Neill also had, what was very suspicious, even a little strange how their magic was having these barriers.
The Cavendish sisters on the other hand had a training of magic well pushed mainly by the hands of Laura and Bernadette that were putting the physical and magical limits in both of them, a lot because Hellene already had some knowledge of magic, but that was what affected Diana a lot, who in those months she couldn't even get the basics, but even so she was pushed in the same level, she even showed an expression of giving up, because she thought that she was incapable of having magic, but it wasn't like that.
Another day was coming at the Cavendish mansion, for being a Saturday day it would be one that the magic of the two would be pulled for more time in the day, since their routine changed a lot pulling a training for the best of magic, besides the awakening also at least on Diana's part.
Early in the morning, both girls were awoken by their mothers, the redheaded one by her mother Laura and the platinum haired one by her mother Bernadette.
" Come on Diana, we have to keep trying " said mother Cavendish.
" Ah mum, why try? I'm useless, I'm not made for magic, train Hellene, I'll settle for being useless... " Said Diana and the mother was feeling enough of that in her heart, so much so that a one minute silence was passing through the room, with a motherly fondness, the older one holding her daughter's hand.
" Diana... I know this has been complicated for you all these days, look... We'll try one more time, okay? Just this once and then we'll never try again, I promise, all right? Then we'll try to solve this problem", said the older Cavendish with that way.
" Ok mum, I'll try this last time and this last day, then you train Hellene, because I'm just a dead weight " said the girl who even received a light pat from her mother.
The discouraged Cavendish got up from the bed, her mother left her alone to have her privacy, what she goes doing her morning needs, besides changing her clothes, putting on a running trousers, a t"shirt and over a coat, because the cold had already arrived and the winter was just a few weeks away from starting.
When finishing she finds herself with her younger sister in the dining room of the mansion, where both of them were enjoying with the huge variety of food, Laura and Bernadette didn't control so much their diet.
Finishing eating they went with the two mothers to the backyard of the house, where it was still a little bit dark because the day was still rising.
" Right... Let's go, starting with physical training, as usual, let's warm up " said Laura.
" My legs are killing me now Mama Laura, why do we have to do it every day? This has nothing to do with magic " said the eldest daughter complaining.
" You think so, but in reality training the body is part and parcel of the training of magic, your body is the receptacle of magic, if it is strong, you are with strong magic, you receive this magic better, you can use spells much stronger and advanced, everything depends on the balance of body and mind " Explains the redheaded mother.
The two began to warm up, which was very similar to what Akko did when he was preparing for the skateboard championship, a 10km run, some stretching, squats with weights, push"ups and finally they did a warm"up that was no more than that. The warm up took an
hour or so and it was already noticeable how Diana was panting a little and Hellene thought it was wonderful, still full of energy to run some more.
" Now that you are warmed up let's focus our magic, close your eyes try to just think about the magic, letting it flow through your body " Mother McLaren said.
The two go closing their eyes concentrating on the magic, what was possible to notice a greenish aura already involving the youngest daughter around her whole body was emitting that light with very familiar colours, already with Diana there was nothing, but mother Bernadette could notice one thing, on her back a glow that always emits.
" Keep emitting, Diana you can do it, just concentrate harder " Said the older Cavendish.
" Is she getting love? " asks the other mother.
" She has the same old light emitting on her back... I think I know, Diana try to think of something that caused it " Answers the platinum haired mother with her hand on her chin.
" I can't do it! I don't even know what this glare is on my back or what caused it! You have no idea how horrible it is! It's starting to feel like it's burning like always " said the eldest daughter practically crying in pain.
" I know, Diana try to stay calm, think about what you feel best, try not to let your head get full, calm down, don't let the pain take over you " Said the redheaded mother.
Diana calmed down a little, slowly the thoughts in her head were changing, instead of imagining becoming a witch and using magic, she was changing to moments she had lived in the camp, remembering those hours she had spent with Akko, where the two of them had a good time, so much so that the expression of pain was soon replaced by one of joy, a smile on her face as the tears of pain stopped falling.
" It seems to be working, keep it up Diana, we are on the right track," said the mother with the olive green eyes.
At that a little steam comes out from the left part of Diana's back, then a blue smoke that soon becomes something bigger, the smoke covered Diana's whole body, the lights of the whole house went out, the only light there was the aura of the magic of the two girls.
From this bluish smoke, lights began to rise through the sky as if they looked like stars, uniting in a line that ended up drawing a unicorn, as it all formed, then the creature goes flying into the air until it disappeared, which then the smoke dissipated.
Diana was panting, feeling something strange, opens her eyes and notices that she even has all this confusion with magic, feeling something strange, like a tingling, then the lights go back on.
" Diana? " Both worried mothers ask.
" Have I made it now? " wonders the eldest daughter.
" Are you all right, daughter? " the two mothers asked, still worried.
" I don't know, this is all very strange, what happened to me? My body, I feel a tingling sensation, at the same time I feel something wonderful " said the woman herself who then took a wand from her pocket.
" Has he finally woken up? " asks the red"headed mother.
" Metamorphie Faciasse! " Said Diana without hesitation raising her wand high.
When Diana uses the spell, it's possible to notice the magic emanating from her body, and then she herself ends up transforming into nothing more or less than a cat, on the spot, besides being able to reverse it in the blink of an eye, and she looks at her hands in surprise, also in shock.
" I did it? I did it! " said the excited eldest daughter.
" You did it sis! I knew you would one day! " said Hellene celebrating with her sister.
" That means one thing... " Said McLaren departing on a much more serious tone.
" Mum, why are you like this? Now I am finally a witch, I have awakened my magic " said Diana.
" That's right, I was just worried for nothing... It was silly of me, it means that you are no longer behind, that now we will be able to advance more and more, that you are no longer behind Hellene, that's it," Laura said, hiding her concern.
" So let's continue to train this magic, now that it's awakened, we'll finally be able to have a notion of continuing the training, I'll be able to advance and I won't lag behind, this is already wonderful, just having my magic awakened, I promise to dedicate myself more " said the excited platinum haired girl.
" So being so let's go " Said the red-headed mother hiding something.
As that morning went by, it was evident that Diana's own advancement was greater, her magic after having awakened, showed itself to be something quite malleable, she managed with extreme ease to perform any of the spells, without suffering too much with each one, going with the greatest ease of all the world.
Evident was the expression McLaren had been left with, especially seeing that it was all over, as if the drama of her daughter's magic being that way was a big deal.
After that morning, the two daughters went to rest, and the older ones went to a more private place in the house, where they discussed about this issue.
" I saw your expression my love, I saw that you were worried," Bernadette said.
" Love, Diana has awakened her magic, that means... " Said Laura worriedly.
" Only one of them has broken, Margaret won't wake up because of it, we can send someone there to keep an eye on all this, what do you think? " Cavendish asks.
" It's kind of an interesting idea, we can't tell them yet that we've done this because, you know... So let's communicate with Chariot and Croix " McLaren said.
[Laura: Croix, Chariot, I have some worrying news for you, we trained Diana too much, she pulled to where she couldn't, you better watch out, the seal of wisdom was broken with the awakening of our daughter's magic].
[Chariot: I will warn someone to go where Margareth's seal is, we cannot let the worst happen, or else she will be awakened, worst of all she can go after our girls to get the power of Claiomh Solais].
[Croix: I will tell Nelson to go to where the seal is, we have to check that everything conforms, then we will come back with information].
Laura and Bernadette block the mobile phone with the worry in their heads, not even imagining what can happen, much for the first seal to be broken, the seal that was precisely on their own daughter and the mother duo did not even know how they were going to tell about this revelation.
" When are we going to tell Diana about the stamp? " Bernadette asks.
" We won't, at least not now, we'll leave it to be revealed at a more crucial moment, especially since the other two sealed lassies are with us," Laura said.
" The worst of it is that we were the ones who put the seals on them, that's what leaves the heaviness in my head, imagining that we are the ones responsible for them suffering to use spells " Cavendish said.
" So let's not say anything, let's just leave it to tell at the right time, you saw how Akko reacted with Chariot, I'm afraid our daughters will be like that with us too " McLaren said.
" Unfortunately there is no way to escape the inevitable my love, this is what will happen to us, we have to tell them one way or another, but since you prefer to hold back, then I am with you on this, we have no way to control their reaction " said the one with olive green eyes.
The two mothers then went for a walk around the house, much to ponder on how they are going to go about telling about the truth in a way that isn't too revealing, without causing a huge impact, as difficult as it is not to happen since the situation isn't the friendliest for such an occasion.
Away from there in Luna Nova, in the boardroom, Mrs Alberta Nelson, who had once been one of the flight teachers at the academy in Luna Nova, was called into the room, as she arrived in the room she noticed Ursula and Croix's serious expression.
" Nelson, we have a mission for you, for the old days of magic, we are coming to new times, we need your help " Callistis said.
" What am I going to have to do? If it is to bring back the magic you can be sure that you will have my help," Nelson said excitedly.
" You're going on a trip to this place, just to notify us what happened to the hideout, if it's all right, the seal of wisdom has been broken, soon it will be a matter of time for the other seals to be too and we can't let it be awakened " Croix said.
" Oh, I'll help you with whatever you need, just leave it to me, I'll be right there," said Alberta excitedly, taking the paper with the coordinates.
The excitement was such that the former teacher went flying with her broom towards that coordinate, in an attitude that could not be noticed taking off, even appealing to use a spell to maintain a radar invisibility and camouflage with the sky.
Arriving in a few hours after a long journey north, she lands in Svalbard in Norway, continuing the trek across the icy islands, into a cave that was shown to have an entrance that only opened with magic.
Nelson uses the spell on this door which reveals a corridor, where he walks through it lighting a lantern, staring at the figure he had seen, a brown haired girl who was with her eyes closed, with three circles forming a triangle around her own body.
" This here is scary for a mister fuck, how come Croix and Ursula take me here? Although I also think it's kind of cool, I have to admit, but come on, I just need to take a picture and say nothing happened," Nelson said alone.
The former teacher walked further down the corridor, arriving at the end of the corridor, which was more open, with ice covering the witch entirely, having a crack right where the seal of wisdom is, which was right on Margareth's forehead.
" That's strange, such a young witch stuck here, I don't know why she is here, she must have committed some serious crime, worse than the two not even to tell what she did " said Alberta going to take pictures.
But something happens a bolt of lightning strikes Nelson's forehead, then something even worse happens, with herself being the one who stopped at the seal, getting stuck behind all that ice, while Margaret was getting out of there, warming herself a little, giving her neck a few pops.
" So you tried to seal me? But it turns out that you won't succeed, I just needed the seal of wisdom to perform my spell to exchange places, now she is here, let's see what this time has in store for me " said Margaret taking Nelson's mobile phone that took a picture of herself on ice.
Margareth sent Croix and Chariot the picture of her being sealed posing as Nelson, then goes looking in the pictures to get a sense of who Nelson is, a little later she cracks a smile looking at the former teacher now trapped in the ice seal she was putting on herself.
" Now you will see what suffering is, you stood in my way and I say I am back, nothing will stop me from accomplishing what I want so much to do, heh.
[Ursula: There's a crack in the seal of wisdom, how is everything magically, is it stable, are we in any danger of Margaret leaving?]
[Nelson: You can rest assured that I have already checked here, nothing will change this seal, even with the broken wisdom one, it will still need a lot, the rest of the place is all quiet, anyway, I'm going back to Luna Nova, so I'm cold and this place is too dark].
" I'm going to have to pretend to be her for a while, as for the stamp, I can't wait for the surprise when they go to see that I'm actually looser than ever " Benson Ford said smiling.
Then she takes the broom, flying away from where the seal is, saying goodbye to the old "house" to put an end to all this, flying back to Luna Nova, where arriving nearby she went disguising herself as Professor Nelson, using the many magical tricks she has up her sleeve.
Diana may awaken her magical power, but the world will face greater consequences, mainly because this has triggered one of the greatest terrors of the magical world to surface again, all over the world, in a way that no one has any idea is happening right in front of their eyes, just a single seal is enough to release this polemic witch that still has much to cause. Soon winter is coming and with it the reunion between the future witches.
