Sophie takes a position backstage as Teddy prepares for her set. Taking a peek at the audience, Sophie is stunned by the sheer density of the crowd waiting in anticipation to see her baby sister. As the tag music flows from the speakers, a hush falls over the crowd. They are all bathed in the golden light of Anna Sun's intro light show. The peace explodes into motion as Teddy hits the first drop. Sophie allows the goosebumps to subside as she takes in the show, watching Teddy's alter ego work the room. For as many times as the family dismissed Teddy's career as folly, Teddy proved them wrong by building Anna Sun into an icon. Sophie laughs, she would pay good money to see Threeski at one of Anna Sun's sets.
Eliot leads Hardison and Parker to the backstage entrance for the venue. In hushed whispers, Hardison and Parker immediately prepare to dodge security to get into the show. To their surprise, Eliot walks up to security offering up his real name. The guard recites the name over his radio with the release of the velvet rope a moment later. "How in the hell did you do that?" Eliot offers with a smirk. "Hardison, I have been on the list since '99."
Eliot leads the way through the corridors from memory, this was always one of Anna's favorite venues to play. "This is so cool... just so cool." Hardison's head is on a swivel as they make their way backstage. Eliot notices Sophie standing just beyond the curtain as he makes his approach, Hardison, and Parker take up a position to vibe with the crowd and immerse into the show. Within moments, Hardison whips out his phone to facetime Brianna to show off.
Sophie is surprised by the familiar nudge to her back. "Pretty amazing," Eliot whispers into her ear. Sophie smiles in agreement. She has to admit the show can be mesmerizing between the music and the lights. Teddy notices Hardison and Parker giving them a wave from the stage. On instinct, she looks to stage left to see Sophie and Eliot waiting in the wings. A nod in River's direction sends him into motion with champagne for her guests. A quick whisper to Raffy puts Hardison's dreams into motion. At Anna Sun's request, Raffy sends two members of security to escort Hardison and Parker onto the stage. Hardison knows that this means he will have to wipe his image off of the internet in ten thousand places but dammit to hell, this will be worth it. To his delight, Anna Sun allows him to touch her decks during a show with her special guest, Nicky Romero.
Eliot wanders away from Sophie drawing closer to where Raffy is keeping watch. He wants a few moments alone to take in the show and to take in Anna Sun. Eliot realized back in the UK, that for all of the things that he thought he knew about Anna Sun, there was a whole other life that he knew nothing about. Perhaps the fates were not quite as cruel as he once accused them of being. Long ago and far away may have been the universe aligning two very different worlds. Parker had this theory about his love life. Though there have been good fits, no one was the missing piece. Parker's theory was rooted in a children's book about finding the missing piece, he was trying out different pieces to find the right one and that can take time. You have to be in the same place at the same time. The ven diagrams were not aligning.
As River hands off some champagne to Sophie, he beckons her to join the other guests where they are gathered backstage. Sophie is beginning to get why Teddy keeps River around. There is a bit of undeniable charm to him that is rather unique. The pair weaves in and out of the crew to a sitting area just off to the side of the stage. Numerous new faces have joined since the preshow as Sophie surveys the space. Sophie quickly finds herself wrapped in a hug from behind. A quick glance down provides the information she needs about who would make so bold of a move on her. The gold crested ring reveals that her baby brother has joined the tour. From her visit home and her father's common rant about the boy traipsing around the continent followed by commentary on him being a bit too much like his older sister. The whole peas in a pod thing, Sophie had wondered when Connie would appear. "Ted is banging tonight." Sophie acknowledges Connie with a kiss on each of his cheeks as he continues onward to mix and mingle.
Moments after Connie's departure, a strikingly handsome man approaches Sophie. "So is it Alex or are you also Sophie Deveraux? Sophie offers a sly side-eye, the voice and the face are familiar. "I guess you could say, it is both." The gentleman offers his hand in greeting. "We have met before but were not formally introduced. I am Harvey Specter." Sophie instantly places the name and face into Teddy's world, she gets what Teddy would see in this man. Damn. She proceeds to make small talk with Teddy's attorney, though she is curious as to why he would be here. Sophie dismisses her thoughts to enjoy the conversation and company.
Time passes quickly as all head to the obligatory backstage afterparty, with Teddy working the room. Though this is pure pleasure for a lot of the people present, this is another day at the office for Teddy and her crew. After a long while, Teddy finds her way to a couch and a bit of a respite. River hands her off a drink as he occupies those who may decide to bother Teddy needless. Sophie takes a seat next to Teddy. "Is this what it is always like?" Teddy actually laughs. "Midnights are my afternoons, Alex."
