Last time, Sora, Kairi, Link, Linkle, Pikachu, and Angel accompanied Impa to reach Hyrule Castle to meet with Princess Zelda who knew they weren't from Hyrule at all. And that was when Ganondorf's army led by the dark sorceress, Cia and a ruthless warrior named Volga. Not only did the army consisted of Moblins, Goriyas, and other of Hyrule's most feared creatures, but there were Heartless in the mix as well.
Using the attack as a distraction, Cia has successfully infiltrated the castle and captured the Princess of Hyrule. Sora, Kairi, and their Pokémon did lend a hand in assisting the battle, but they found out that Zelda have been captured as Ganondorf planned.
Now the time has come to put an end to Ganondorf's plan before he could escape and abduct the rest of the Princesses of Heart.
Sora, Kairi, Link, Linkle, Impa, Pikachu, and Angel have rode by horseback to make it towards Ganondorf's castle. They knew there will be some trouble along the way. And how right they were, because there were Heartless that looked like full-grown stallions, and the Heartless emblem is on the front of their necks. They had the traditional yellow eyes. These Heartless are known as the Crazy Horse.
"We got some company," Link said.
"Those are definitely Heartless," Sora said.
A Crazy Horse came charging at Sora, alarming the real horse. Sora summoned his Keyblade and he slashed the horse-like Heartless through the neck, destroying it. The other Crazy Horses came galloping at the group, so Link took out a bow and arrow and fired the arrow at the one coming at him. The Heartless dissolves into darkness once the arrow impales its chest. Linkle fires her crossbows at a couple of Crazy Horses and took them out. Impa drew her sword and slashed at the Crazy Horse coming at her. One more charged at Kairi, so she casts her blizzard spell and hits it and freezes it. Kairi then slashed through it while it was frozen.
"Is everyone all okay?" Link asked.
"Better than them," Sora said.
"I'm fine," Kairi said.
"You know me, Link," Linkle said.
"We must continue on," Impa said.
With that said, they continued to ride on towards Ganondorf's domain, but unknown to them, a Team Rocket member riding on a dragon-like creature that has a build like a horse and a horn like a unicorn. This creature is known as an Aquamentus. He has the same elf-like ears as the couple and Giovanni. He makes contact with several others.
"Look alive, boys and girls. Those kids survived a Heartless attack and they're still heading for the castle," the Team Rocket member reported.
"Roger that," a female voice responded.
Over to the Team Rocket members assigned, they all rode on Aquamentuses.
"I still can't believe there are worlds other than the world of Pokémon," one of the grunts said.
"Me neither. I just wish we didn't have to come here looking like Santa's helpers," another grunt said.
"Well, the higher-ups said that our appearance will change thanks to the magic that got sprinkled on us. Also, I kinda like the pointy ears," the first grunt said.
"You would. You have enough fantasy novels to dress a Rapidash up like a hippogriff," another grunt said.
"Enough talk," the leading female member said. "Look, those kids foiled our plans back home, and they had just sealed the Keyhole in that vampire castle, so we can't afford any slip-ups. I'm gonna make contact with Giovanni."
"Right," the other grunts said. She makes contact with Giovanni.
"Giovanni, sir. The two children have survived the Heartless attack and they're still heading for the castle," the female Team Rocket member reported.
Over to Ganondorf's castle, he speaks into the communicator.
"No doubt they'll be trying to rescue the princess. Keep them busy," Giovanni said.
"Yes, sir," the female Team Rocket member said, breaking contact.
"Those kids are more of a problem than I thought," the turtle-like creature said, coming up to him. He laughed. "And I thought you were afraid of those kids."
Giovanni scoffed, "I am not afraid of any child. They're just a nuisance to be dealt with. I just refuse to tolerate their interference any further. And I wouldn't be so quick to judge, Bowser."
"Whatever. At least the pest I deal with isn't a snot-nosed kid," Bowser said, laughing. "I don't even know why Ganondorf even bothered bringing you in."
"Those children were more persistent than I expected. But I learned from my past mistakes. I will go inform Ganondorf that the children are on their way, while you go an deal with your plumbing problems," Giovanni said, making Bowser growl in annoyance.
"Wise guy," Bowser hissed.
Giovanni approached Ganondorf as he enters the throne room.
"Ganondorf, the children are heading this way," Giovanni said.
"I see. After dealing with Dracula and Dr. Wily, they actually hope to end their little quest, but they will find it will be more difficult than they anticipated," Ganondorf said. "And we shall make it difficult for them."
Back with the group, they have arrived to a desert.
"What's this place?" Sora asked.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"This is the Gerudo Valley. It is home to the Gerudo Tribe. With the exception of Ganondorf, none were seen in any parts for many years," Impa said.
"What happened to them?" Kairi asked.
"No one knows. There were rumors of their disappearance," Linkle said.
"This land's been off limits ever since the Heartless appeared years ago," Link said.
They continued to ride on into the valley. They looked around and the only life they saw were the vultures flying above and the cacti they perched on.
Knowing that the Heartless may attack at any moment, they have kept their wits up, but they didn't wait for long as something moves among the rocks. A roar is heard, startling the horses.
"What is that?" Linkle asked.
"Whatever it was, it sounds close. Very close," Sora said.
"It has to be Ganondorf's forces," Link said.
"Agreed. And it's coming our way," Impa said, taking out her sword. It turns out to be a quadrupedal dinosaur-like creature. It roars loudly. "A Dodongo!"
"Why do I have a feeling it looks hungry?" Sora asked.
"And I have a feeling that we're about to become its meal," Link said. The Dodongo charges at them, making the horses scatter. Sora casts his fire spell at the Dodongo, but it bounces right off of it.
"That didn't even put a dent on it!" Sora said.
"Let me try!" Kairi said, aiming her Keyblade at the Dodongo and casts her blizzard spell and it bounces right off.
"Maybe we should both cast a spell that'll hit it at the same time," Sora said.
"Okay. Let's try something a little harder," Kairi suggested.
"Right!" Sora said.
"Stone!" Sora and Kairi both shouted, summoning a rain of rocks, bringing them down at the Dodongo, but they don't do a thing to its armor.
"You've gotta be kidding me! Not a dent!" Sora exclaimed.
"It's not even slowing down!" Kairi said.
"I don't think magic is going to do a thing to it," Link said.
The Dodongo charges at them again.
"Here it comes!" Linkle said.
"Take it down, no matter what!" Impa said.
The Dodongo roars as Link fires an arrow at the Dodongo, but it bounces off.
"Ugh, that thing has to have a weakness," Sora said.
"Hey! The weakness that monster has is to have it swallow an explosive! It can't defend itself from the inside!" A feminine voice called out. Sora looked around after hearing the voice.
"Who said that?" Sora asked.
"I don't know, but that was sound advise," Link said, taking out a bomb and he threw it right at the Dodongo's mouth and it swallowed the bomb. It explodes from the inside and it collapsed on its side.
"It's down," Kairi said.
"But who called out to us?" Linkle asked.
"I did," the female voice said. They turned to see what appears to be hylian girl, but the difference is that she has a lighter complexion, pink lips, long sky blue hair tied into a ponytail on the right side of her hair with fringes on the left with two gems, a sapphire along with a pearl, and she has a navy blue hair clip with white and orange feathers which holds the ponytail, violet eyes like Cia, golden bracelets that have white sleeves with golden stripes that in turn, white bracelets with gold stripes and embedded sapphires and their edges are gold, while on the right side of her neck she wears a white cape with blue and gold edges, she has a silver shoulder pad with golden edges, she also has a necklace that has a sapphire inlaid with iron and gold rings that hang from her necklace with a gold ring with an embedded sapphire with a blue support, with blue braces and blue edges which leaves her shoulders and abdomen exposed, rings on her left hand's fingers, a short skirt which is colored white, blue, and violet with golden stripes, long white stockings, and blue boots with golden stripes with white feathers. "Good thing for you, I was nearby when I saw it."
"Who are you?" Kairi asked.
"My name's Lana. Lana the white sorceress. And I am positively magical," Lana said.
"Why were you following us?" Impa asked, not trusting her.
"I wasn't. I was already in the area and I just happen to spot you, having trouble with that Dodongo, so I helped out from the shadows, so I helped out," Lana explained. She spots Link and she grinned a flirty grin. "You're cute. What's your name?"
"Link," Link simply replied.
"Looks like someone has an admirer," Kairi said, making Sora, Pikachu, and Angel chuckle.
"Link? That's a nice name," Lana flirted.
"We don't have time for this. We're on an important mission. We must rescue Princess Zelda," Impa stated.
"Right," Link agreed as he nodded.
"Since we're going the same way, I should tag along," Lana said.
"You're going to Ganondorf's castle, too?" Kairi asked.
"I am. I'm looking for a woman named Cia. I sensed she's somewhere around the valley, so I came here, and that's was when I bumped into you," Lana said. Lana climbed on the same horse Link is riding and held him tight.
About an hour later, they kept on riding on ahead towards Ganondorf's castle when they bumped into several more Heartless. The Heartless consisted of Shadows, Soldiers, and a new Heartless.
These Heartless are large blue ogre-like Heartless and they all held clubs in their hands. They wore a cave man's fur clothing. We shall dub these Heartless as the Mad Ogre.
The Shadows and Soldiers were easily dispatched, but the Mad Ogres have proven to be difficult opponents since they had thick hides. They swung their clubs down at them, only to be dodged. He and Linkle fired arrows at them, but the arrows bounced right off.
"You gotta be kidding me!" Link exclaimed.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt at one of the Mad Ogres, but it does little damage to it. "That didn't even tickle it!"
"Chu!" Pikachu said.
"Angel! Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fired Swift and it does nothing to them. "Not a scratch!"
"Vee!" Angel said.
Lana took out a spellbook and sends out a blue ball of magic and hits it.
"Those Heartless are too tough. It's like their bodies are made of solid steel," Sora said.
"But they got to have a weakness, don't they?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah, but what?" Sora asked. Linkle shot an arrow from one of her crossbows and it hits the Mad Ogre in the leg, making it fall on its knee. That gives Sora an idea. "The legs! That's it! Attack the legs! The legs are their weak spots!"
"You heard him! Do it!" Link exclaimed as the squad attacked the legs of the ogre-like Heartless, destroying them completely. "Good thinking, Sora."
"Thank Linkle. She gave me the idea," Sora said.
"I didn't know I was giving you an idea, Sora, but you're welcome," Linkle said.
With that said, the group continued on their way towards Ganondorf's castle. The Team Rocket squad growled in anger.
"Those damn kids took them down again," the leading grunt growled.
"We gotta stop them from reaching the castle now!" Another grunt said.
"You're right. Let's move!" The leading grunt said, making the Aquamentus he was riding on move. The same with the others. They jumped and hovered down in front of the group, stopping them in their tracks. Impa growled.
"Get out of the way!" Impa demanded.
"Sorry, but we're not letting you pass us," the leading grunt said, stepping off the Aquamentus and grinning. Sora and Kairi gasped.
"They're from Team Rocket!" Kairi gasped.
"Who?" Link asked.
"They're bad guys where we're from," Sora said.
"Villains?" Lana asked.
"And proud of it, blue! And we have a score to settle with those two for sticking their noses in our business," the leading grunt said.
"Why are you here?" Sora asked.
"I just told you, we have a score to settle with you. Giovanni has cut a deal with Ganondorf just to have a big part of the pie he was baking, and Team Rocket likes big slices," the leading grunt said.
"Team Rocket's in on Ganondorf's plan?" Kairi asked.
"You got that right," the leading grunt said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Gyarados!" Her Pokéball opened and her Gyarados came out. This Gyarados has white whiskers. The grunts threw their Pokéballs and several other Pokémon came out. The Pokémon consisted of Magneton, Muk, Pinsir, Scizor, Raticate, Fearow, Sandslash, Machoke, Golbat, Rhyhorn, Marowak, Arbok, Weezing, Primeape, Tentacruel, Hitmontop, and Magmar. Impa was about to engage them when Sora and Kairi stepped in.
"We'll handle them," Sora said. He turned to Pikachu. "You ready, Pikachu?"
"Pika," Pikachu nodded.
"How about you, Angel?" Kairi asked.
"Vee," Angel nodded.
Sora and Kairi threw their Pokéballs into the air to let out their Pokémon.
"Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pidgeot, Dragonite, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Alakazam, Golem, Machamp, Gengar!" Sora called out.
"Raichu, Clefable, Wigglytuff, Vileplume, Bellossom, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Glaceon, Leafeon, Sylveon!" Kairi called out.
Their Pokémon emerged from inside and glared at the Team Rocket Pokémon.
"Attack! Gyarados! Use Hyper Beam!" The leading grunt ordered. Gyarados roared and fired Hyper Beam right at the group.
"Alakazam! Use Psychic to block it!" Sora ordered. Alakazam uses Psychic to block Gyarados's attack and send it back, dealing some damage.
"Marowak! Use Bone Rush!"
"Raticate! Use Super Fang!"
"Machoke! Use Superpower!"
"Magmar! Use Fire Punch!"
"Magneton! Magnet Bomb!"
"Tentacruel! Use Bubble Beam!"
"Arbok! Use Acid!"
"Weezing! Use Sludge Bomb!"
"Primeape! Use Outrage!"
"Rhyhorn! Drill Run!"
"Scizor! Metal Claw!"
"Fearow Brave Bird!"
"Pinsir! Vise Grip!"
"Muk! Sludge Wave!"
"Sandslash! Use Slash!"
"Hitmontop! Triple Kick!"
The Team Rocket Pokémon all launched their attacks onto Sora and Kairi's Pokémon.
"Okay, Pidgeot! Use Wing Attack! Dragonite! Use Dragon Claw! Nidoking! Horn Attack! Nidoqueen! Body Press! Venusaur! Vine Whip! Charizard! Flamethrower! Blastoise! Hydro Pump! Golem! Rock Slide! Gengar! Shadow Ball! Alakazam! Psybeam! Machamp! Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered.
"Vileplume, Bellossom! Petal Blizzard! Raichu, Jolteon! Thunderbolt! Clefable! Dazzling Gleam! Wigglytuff! Disarming Voice! Flareon! Flamethrower! Vaporeon! Water Gun! Leafeon! Razor Leaf! Glaceon! Ice Beam! Sylveon! Fairy Wind!" Kairi ordered.
The couple's Pokémon launched their attacks at the Team Rocket Pokémon. Link, Linkle, Impa, and Lana were amazed by how they were handling Team Rocket and their Pokémon.
"Iron Tail!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Pikachu and Angel swung their tails and struck Hitmontop hard and fell backwards.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt at the Pokémon, shocking them, all except for Sandslash and Marowak since they're Ground-type Pokémon.
"Angel! Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fired Swift at Marowak and Sandslash and they land on the ground, beaten. Gyarados gets back up.
"Weaklings! I can take them myself! Gyarados! Use Aqua Tail!" The leading grunt ordered. Gyarados came at the Pokémon couple.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt at Gyarados, shocking it.
"Show them a real Thunderbolt!" The leading grunt ordered. Gyarados fired its own Thunderbolt at the Pokémon couple, shocking them. Then Golem, Nidoking, and Nidoqueen got in front of the electric attack, protecting them both. "Get out of the way! Hyper Beam!" Gyarados prepares to fire Hyper Beam at them.
"Raichu! Thunder Punch!" Kairi ordered. Raichu gave Gyarados a Thunder Punch in the underbelly.
"Dragonite! Use Dragon Rush!" Sora ordered. Dragonite flew at Gyarados while surrounded by a blue dragonish energy. Gyarados is struck hard. "Use Dragon Pulse!" Dragonite unleashed Dragon Pulse, hitting Gyarados hard. The Atrocious Pokémon fell backwards and she growled as she called her Gyarados back.
"Okay, you beat us, but by the time you reach Ganondorf's place, it'll be too late. She along with the other Princess of Heart will be in our hands and we will be one more step to ultimate glory!" The leading grunt said as the other grunts called their other fallen Pokémon back and rode off.
"You don't think she's telling us the truth, do you?" Kairi asked.
"If she was, we will have to hurry up. Come on," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu nodded.
They rode off to their rescue mission of the princess, only to hear there was another to rescue. Sora knew their mission just got even more important, so they had to end it soon. They rode on for hours right up to nighttime and they finally arrived to Ganondorf's castle.
"Wow, doesn't this place look cheerful?" Sora asked with a hint of sarcasm.
"It would be if he would grow some flowers on the front lawn," Link said, almost making Sora chuckle.
"We better remain on guard, because I can sense darkness in there," Lana said.
Everyone got off the horses and stepped inside the castle and saw how it was filled with so much evil. They knew the Heartless will come out from anywhere and they had to make sure they were ready.
Unknown to them, a set of eyes are on them. And they were being watched by Agahnim from his crystal ball. He chuckled to himself.
"Our guests have arrived," Agahnim said. Cia sees Lana is with them.
"And they have her with them," Cia said.
"I shall make their stay feel more welcoming. Perhaps Gleeok could use a hearty snack," Agahnim said.
Back with the group, they stopped when they heard the sounds of stomping footsteps. The room shook from each step. Sora saw a small puddle of water and he saw it vibrate from the shaking.
"I might be saying something obvious, but there's something coming our way," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"And it doesn't sound friendly," Linkle said.
And she was right when a large green five headed dragon-like creature came from the hall. It has large wings its torso.
"A Gleeok," Link said.
"What's a Gleeok?" Sora asked.
"A dragon that can have up to two and five heads at a time. They're one of the most scariest monsters you will ever have to meet; but that's not what makes them terrifying," Link said.
"And what does?" Sora asked.
"You will have to see," Link said, drawing the Master Sword. Sora and Kairi summoned their Keyblades as two of the heads spews fire. Link blocks it with his shield as Sora and Kairi swung their Keyblades, attempting to keep the Gleeok's five heads at bay. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt at it while Angel fires Swift. Lana casts her spells as Linkle shoots her arrows from her crossbows. Impa chops one of the heads off and it floats around spews fire at them. "That's what makes them terrifying!"
"You mean, you cut off one head and the head still keeps going?" Sora asked.
"That's exactly it," Link said.
"How are going to keep the heads from attacking us?" Kairi asked.
"Take out its body and the heads will die with the body!" Link said. The four remaining heads snaps at them.
"Easier said than done!" Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
The heads of the Gleeok kept snapping at them, so Sora and Kairi each chopped off a head, so the heads kept spewing fire at them. Link took out a bomb and threw it at the Gleeok, exploding on contact. Link chopped off one, leaving one left. Impa tried to chop off the least head, but it bats her back with its tail. The heads kept on firing at them. Sora and Link rushed at the Gleeok and then they jumped up and they slashed the last head off, killing the rest of the severed heads. The Gleeok fell on the ground and the skin turns to dust, leaving behind a skeleton before it turned into dust and blew into the wind.
"That takes care of the Gleeok," Linkle said.
"We should get moving. It won't be long until Ganondorf knows that we're here," Impa said.
Sora, Kairi, Link, Linkle, and Lana agreed and proceeded to move on in the castle.
Meanwhile, the Team Rocket grunts stood before Ganondorf and their boss to report their failure to stop them.
"You mean to tell me that you failed to stop them even with your best Pokémon thrown at them?" Giovanni asked, infuriated by their failure.
"It wasn't my fault, sir. It was because these weaklings slowed me down," the leading grunt said.
"Just head with Bowser and await further instructions from me," Giovanni ordered.
"Yes, sir," the leading grunt said, taking off with the others.
"Those brats just proved themselves to be a nuisance once again," Giovanni said.
"Perhaps, but you should be careful, because the Heartless will feast upon your frustrations," Ganondorf warned.
"Keep your warnings to yourself!" Giovanni yelled. A Stalfos entered Ganondorf's throne room.
"Lord Ganondorf," the Stalfos said.
"What is it?" Ganondorf asked.
"The Hero of Time, the princess's bodyguard, and the children have entered the castle They have dispatched the Gleeok and they're making their way through even as we speak," the Stalfos reported.
"Make certain that they make their way in here, but slow them down first," Ganondorf ordered.
"Yes, my lord," the Stalfos said.
"I can only hope Agahnim has identified the princess by now anyway," Ganondorf said.
Over to Agahnim's chambers, he finally found what he was looking for.
"So, it was Princess Midna who is a Princess of Heart along with Zelda. Ganondorf will be pleased by this bit of news," Agahnim said.
"I am certain," Cia agreed. "I shall assist you in taking them to Ganondorf," Cia said.
"Excellent. And what of Volga?" Agahnim asked.
"I have sent him down to finish them off. He has a score to settle with Link," Cia said.
"I am certain he will destroy them before they can reach the throne room, or they destroy him. Either way, it's a win for us," Agahnim said.
Cia said nothing. She actually hoped Volga would fail to finish them, because she wants to wipe them out herself.
Back with the group, they were fighting their way through as Heartless, Moblins, Goriyas, Stalfos, and a couple of crab-like monsters with a large eye in the center. These creatures are known as the Gohma.
"Outta the way, boneheads!" Sora said, taking it down.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said, firing a Thunderbolt, shocking them.
"These Stalfos makes the Moron Trio look smart," Sora said.
"Don't get distracted! Take them down!" Impa said.
They fought off the enemies that came their way. Kairi casts her thunder spell, sending them flying. They ran through the halls with the enemies giving chase. Volga came before them, slamming the ground.
"I've been waiting for you. I have a score to settle with you, Link. I haven't forgotten about our last encounter, so I have made it my statement that only one of us will walk away," Volga said.
"I won't have it any other way," Link said.
"Me neither," Sora said.
"And me," Kairi added.
Volga took out his spear and held it tight in his hands. He started things by charging at them as Sora, Kairi, and Link dodged the spear coming at them, but they swung their Keyblades at Volga, but he blocked with his spear, and he spews fire from his mouth. Sora and Kairi dodged as Link swung his sword at Volga, but he blocked it. Kairi casts her blizzard spell at Volga, hitting him.
"You will pay for that," Volga said, having his hands turn into claws and he came at her. Sora came to her rescue and he swung his Keyblade at his claws, hitting him. Link gave him a kick in the gut, sending him backwards. "Now I'm enraged! It's time to reveal my real self!"
He roared as he transformed into his true form, the Volvagia and roared. The Volvagia spews fire at Sora, Kairi, and Link, so Kairi casts her reflect spell to block the flames as Sora and Link came at the dragon as he snapped at them. They swung their Keyblades. Kairi came at him and gave him a stomped him when she jumped. Volvagia spews fire at Link, sending his shield flying.
"Take this!" Link said, throwing the Master Sword at the Volvagia into the chest, roaring in pain. He reverts to his human form and he grunts in pain with the sword impaled in his chest.
"Tell us. Where is Zelda?" Link asked.
"Probably gone by now," Volga said.
"You're lying!" Impa roared.
"Maybe, maybe not. You're too late to stop what has started," Volga said, painfully laughed, pulling out the sword and he threw it down to the ground. "I was glad to sacrifice myself for Ganondorf. The worlds will be at his mercy, and no one will ever stand up against him and live." He fell on his left and died from his wound.
"He's lying. He's lying!" Impa exclaimed.
"He might be just to throw us off. We gotta hurry and stop him," Kairi said.
"Kairi's right. We already came this far," Linkle said.
"Let's go. Zelda is counting on us," Sora said, taking off.
They entered the castle, but that was the first part, but the next part will be tricky. Let's hope it's not really too late.
