AN: So, I decided to make a new crossover story! This time, I'm writing a crossover on The Ghost and Molly McGee and Kingdom Hearts! This story is based on a crossover drawing a made on Deviantart awhile ago! While I am going to be shipping Molly and Libby together like in my usual fanfics, this story would involve both romance and adventure. I have been looking forward to writing this story for awhile, so I hope you would enjoy it!

Chapter 1

Beginning of Their Journey

Today is the beginning of another wonderful day for Molly McGee! After several days of waiting for this moment, Molly is going to go on a date with her girlfriend, Libby Stein-Torres! Throughout her morning, Molly spent her time getting dressed, combing her hair and thinking about how she would greet Libby when they meet up for their date.

Even Scratch noticed how much Molly is looking forward to the date. Even though he didn't care that much about romance, he was still happy for Molly.

"It looks like you are pretty excited for your date!" Scratch noticed as Molly just finished her preparations.

"I am, Scratch! I know that Libby and I are going to have a fun time together!" Molly smiled, excited for her date. "What are you going to do while I'm gone?"

"I'm just going to stay here and sleep the day away!" Scratch said as he laid down on a spiderweb hammock. "Good luck on your date, Moll!"

"Thanks, Scratch! I'll see you later!" Molly waved goodbye to her ghost friend before she got ready to leave.

As she made her way downstairs, Molly entered the living room to say goodbye to her family.

"Hey, guys! I'm going to leave to go on my date with Libby!" Molly happily announced.

"Well, I'm glad you are finally going on your date with Libby today! It got annoying when you wouldn't stop talking about this date for several days straight!" Darryl pointed out.

"Now, Darryl! It's understandable that Molly is excited for this date. She has been waiting for several days!" Sharon told her son.

"We hope you and Libby have fun on your date, Molly!" said Pete.

"We will! Bye, everyone!" Molly waved goodbye.

Once she was ready, Molly left the house as she made her way to the bookshop. Throughout her walk to Libby's home, Molly's date with Libby was the only thing she could think about. It had been awhile since the last time they went on a date together and Molly was looking forward to spending time together with Libby.

It wasn't long before Molly made it to Book Marks the Spot. She opened the front door, gaining the attention of Libby's mother, Leah. Leah looked up from the counter and was delighted to see Molly.

"Molly! It's good to see you!" Leah exclaimed, happy to see her daughter's girlfriend.

"It's good to see you too, Leah!" Molly replied with a smile. "Is Libby here?"

Leah nodded. "Yes! Libby is upstairs getting ready for her date with you! I'll see if she is ready now!" Leah then raised her voice to call out for Libby. "Libby, Molly is here! Are you ready for your date with her?"

"Yes, Mom! I'm coming!" Came Libby's voice from upstairs.

A few moments had passed before Molly could hear Libby's footsteps. As Libby reached the bottom of the stairs, she greeted her girlfriend with a smile.

"Hi, Molly! Are you ready for our date together?" Libby asked.

"I sure am!" Molly exclaimed. "I know that we would have an amazing date!"

"Well, I hope that you two have fun! I'll see you when you get back home tonight, Libby!" said Leah.

"Okay, Mom! I'll call you when I'm on my way home!" Libby explained.

With that, Molly and Libby left the bookshop as they were ready for their date. They both walked down the road to the restaurant as they were holding hands the entire way. Since the walk was going to take awhile, Molly and Libby decided to ask each other about their day in the meantime.

"So, how are things going at your house, Molly?" Libby started off the conversation.

"Everything is going well! My family is doing great and Scratch is just sleeping the day away, as usual! What about you, Libby?"

"Well, this week has been pretty exhausting for me and my mom." Libby admitted . "My mom and I have been pretty busy at the bookshop lately and I'm just glad that I can get a break and spend the day with you!"

"I'm glad to spend the day with you too, Libby! After all, I'm going on a date with the prettiest girl in all of Brighton!" Molly gave Libby a kiss on the cheek, causing her to blush.

About halfway through their walk, Molly and Libby began to notice that the sky was starting to turn dark. This confused them because the sun was out just a minute ago.

"Huh? What's going on?" Libby looked around, confused by the sudden change in weather.

"I'm not sure. The weatherman said that it was supposed to be sunny today." Molly pointed out, feeling just as confused as her girlfriend.

Just when Molly and Libby thought that things couldn't get any stranger, they jumped back in surprise when a bunch of shadowy bug-like creatures suddenly appeared in front of them. The creatures stared at Molly and Libby with blank yellow eyes before they began to approach the frightened girls as they got ready to pounce.

"Molly, wh-what are those things?" Libby asked as she and Molly slowly stepped away from the shadow creatures.

Ever since she started hanging out with Molly, Libby has been introduced to all kinds of ghosts and other mysterious entities, but she had never seen anything like this before.

"I don't know what they are, but I don't think we should stay around to find out! Let's go!"

Before Libby could react, Molly took her hand and ran away with her with the mysterious creatures giving chase. The girls ran as fast as they could as more of the monsters began to chase them every passing second.

The chase went on until Molly and Libby found themselves at a dead end. They tried to turn back to look for another way out, but it was too late. The creatures already had them surrounded. With nowhere else to go, all Molly and Libby could do was hug each other tightly and scream in fear. At that moment, the creatures pounced on Molly and Libby before everything went black.

The next thing Molly knew, she was laying on the ground of an unfamiliar place. She soon recovered and slowly got up to observe her surroundings. It appeared as though she was standing on shallow water and there was nothing in sight, apart from a blue sky and a bunch of clouds.

Suddenly, Molly remembered about Libby and looked around to search for her. Thankfully, Libby wasn't too far away as Molly found her lying unconscious on the watery floor.

"Libby!" Molly rushed over to her girlfriend before she tried to shake her awake.

Libby groaned before she eventually opened her eyes and glanced at Molly.

"Molly?" Libby rubbed her eyes, momentarily confused. "Where are we?"

"Your guess is as good as mine! I just woke up just before you did!" Molly explained as she helped Libby back up.

Upon taking a closer look at Libby, Molly noticed that there was something different about her. Libby's body appeared transparent as if she were some kind of ghost.

"Libby, what happened to your body?" Molly asked, concerned.

Libby took a look at her hand and gasped at this unexpected change before bringing her attention back to Molly.

"Molly, your body is transparent too!"

As Libby said that, Molly took a look at herself and was surprised as well. She wasn't expecting something like this to happen to her. Molly felt like that time she became a wraith to save Scratch from the ghost world.

"Whoa, this is really weird!" Molly said, surprised by her ghost like appearance.

Libby nodded in agreement. "Yes. I'm really starting to worry, Molly!"

"Don't worry! Let's just focus on finding a way out of here! There has to be some way back to Brighton!" Molly tried to encourage Libby.

"I guess so!" Truthfully, Libby didn't feel too optimistic, but she decided to trust Molly anyway.

With that, the girls began their walk through the mysterious world. They traveled for what felt like hours and still didn't find anything. Just when they were starting to get tired, they took notice of a light above them.

The light descended from the sky before appearing right in front of Molly and Libby. The two friends shut their eyes tightly from how bright the light was. It wasn't long before the light dimmed down, revealing a tiny creature standing in front of Molly and Libby. The entity was a cat-like creature that had a cape around its neck and had a pink purse with a star-like symbol at the front.

"Hello! Did you two get trapped in this world too?" The creature spoke.

While, Libby was confused with what was going on, Molly gazed at the cat-like creature with pure joy in her eyes.

"Oh my gosh, Libby! I don't know what this creature is, but it is so adorable!" Molly squealed in joy.

"Um, wow! I had all kinds of conspiracy theories of various creatures, but I've never seen anything like you before! Who are you?" Libby asked the creature.

"It's nice to meet you! My name is Chirithy!" the creature introduced. "I see that you two have found yourselves in the Final World!"

"The Final World?" Libby repeated.

Chirithy nodded. "Yes. If you two are here, that means that your hearts and bodies have perished, but there is something that is keeping you from death. How did you two end up here anyway?"

"Well, Libby and I were just about ready to go on a date together before these shadow creatures showed up and attacked us!" Molly explained before she just realized something. "Wait a minute! Are you saying that Libby and I just died? But we can't be dead! We have friends and family back home we need to get back to!"

Seeing that Molly was panicking, Libby did her best to calm her girlfriend down. "Molly, it's going to be okay! We'll find a way back!"

"But how? We're both dead! I know that I became a wraith that one time, but this is completely different! There is no way for us to get back home!"

At that moment, Chirithy raised their arms in an effort to calm down Molly. "Whoa! Whoa! Just calm down! Listen, Molly, was it? I can assure you that there is still a way back to your world!"

As Chirithy said that, Molly began to relax.

"Really? But how?" Molly asked.

"Like I said before, there is something that is keeping you from death, so you are not completely dead. Throughout this world, there are fragments of yourselves that you must find. Once you pull yourselves back together in a literal sense, you might be able to find a way back to your world. Find the fragments and I'll tell you what to do next! Good luck!" Chirithy wished Molly and Libby luck before turning back into a light and ascending to the sky.

This was too much for Molly and Libby to keep track of, but if it meant that they could go back to Brighton, they were willing to try anything. They both continued through the Final World and were shocked to see various clones of the two of them.

"Are these the fragments that Chirithy told us about?" Molly asked as she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"I think so! I wonder how this is supposed to work." Libby wondered as she stared at her own clones.

Curious, Molly stepped towards one of her clones and touched it. The moment that she touched it, the clone suddenly disappeared into light and a small part of Molly was restored back to normal. That was when Molly and Libby realized that they should find the rest of their fragments to return to normal.

At that moment, Molly and Libby searched for more fragments of themselves. The more fragments they found, the more that their bodies returned to normal. Before long, Molly and Libby were no longer transparent and were finally back to normal. Once Molly and Libby found all of their missing fragments, Chirithy returned to them to congratulate them.

"Great job! You two are back to normal now!" Chirithy exclaimed.

"So, does this mean that Libby and I can go back to Brighton now?" Molly asked, feeling hopeful.

"Um, while it is possible for you and Libby to go back to Brighton, I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to get attacked by the Heartless again." Chirithy cautioned.

"The Heartless? Those were the shadow creatures that attacked us before, weren't they?" Libby guessed.

Chirithy nodded. "Yes, which is why you two need to learn how to defend yourselves! When you leave this world, you two would find yourselves outside of a mysterious tower, where you would meet someone named, Master Yen Sid! He will show you how you can defend yourselves against the Heartless. Unfortunately, I would not be able to follow you two there, so you are on your own for now."

Now that they had to continue on without Chirithy, Molly and Libby let out a couple of depressed sighs. Even though they only just met Chirithy, Molly and Libby were thankful for all that Chirithy did to help them.

"I guess this is goodbye then." Molly guessed.

"It seems so. Be careful on your journey!" Chirithy said as they waved goodbye.

Molly soon waved goodbye as well. "We will! Thanks, Chirithy!"

"And thank you for everything!" Libby smiled.

Once Chririthy left once again, Molly and Libby held each others hand and closed their eyes as they were enveloped by a bright light. They soon opened their eyes to realize that they were no longer in the Final World.

As they took a look at their surroundings, they took notice of a mysterious tower standing tall in front of them, just like Chirithy said.

"Oh, this must be the tower!" Molly noticed. "It's just too bad that Chirithy couldn't come with us on our journey! Chirithy was really adorable!"

Libby nodded in agreement. "Yes, and they were really helpful too! Although, there was something about Chirithy's voice that sounded weirdly familiar to me! I just can't put my finger on it!" Libby pondered where she heard that voice from for a moment before shrugging her shoulders. "Oh well!"

It was at that moment when Molly and Libby decided to make their way towards the Mysterious Tower. They hoped that once they meet Master Yen Sid, they would be able to find a way back to Brighton. Little did they know that this was only the beginning of their journey!

AN: So, that's the end of the first chapter of this crossover story! For those who are wondering, I made that joke at the end about Libby and Chirithy's voices sounding similar since both characters are voiced by Lara Jill Miller and I thought that was a fun joke to include in the story! I hope everyone is enjoying the story so far and I hope to publish the next chapter soon!
