A/n: This is my first attempt at a self insert fanfic. I had thought about going with an oc, but went with a fan favorite instead. If you find any errors I apologise.

Normal POV:

It was just to be an average day. Just a normal boring day until it took a massive turn. I was on my way home from work as it had always been. But when unfortunate events happen there is no warning. It took a single loud bang to end everything. I guess this is what you get for living in a big city.

I had thought it was a dream, but the pain was real. I couldn't help but watch as blood began to pool around me. As my life began to fad everything seemed to slow down. As I looked around all I could hear was my own heart beat. I had no idea what it was I had done in my life for this to happen. Perhaps I ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Either way I knew what would come next. My vision began to darken as my heart began to slow. In a matter of seconds my life, my uneventful peacefully boring existence came to an end.

But just as everything faded I heard a voice.

???: This is not where your story ends.

Then everything went dark and thus the life I knew ended.

Ruins of Cybertron:

I awoke with a start as I tried to breath. Soon enough I calmed to a degree as I coughed slightly. A lot of questions entered my mind as my vision was changed completely. But that didn't concern me as much as when I saw my surroundings. As I rose to my feet I saw a land of ruin and destruction.

???: What in the hell?

As I looked at my surroundings I recognized where I was. A sense of disbelief and horror filled my mind. I was standing on the remains of a lifeless Cybertron. My mind raced as the questions continued to build, how did I end up here and how is it I was still alive. I decided to sit back on the metal ground, contemplating my situation. But before I could make sense of any of what was happening the voice returned.

???: Welcome child.

I rose to my feet once more and frantically looked around for whom the voice belonged to.

???: Who are you?! Show yourself!

???: Calm yourself. I will not harm you.

???: Forgive me if I don't believe you.

???: I Understand your mistrust. but believe me, there is a reason I brought you here.

???: Brought me here? How?

???: Before you awoke you had perished. Now you have been given a second chance.

???: A second chance? Just who are you?

???: I believe you know who I am.

I thought carefully. I was on Cybertron but I knew that no one would have remained as both autobots and decepticons had left. Soon enough it hit my like a semi.

???: Impossible.

???: Now you know.

???: Primus, but how?

Primus: I have used what power I have to grant you life.

???: But why? Why bring me back to life?

Primus: Because, I sought out a being who could aid the last of the primes.

???: Optimus. But why me? Couldn't you have found someone else.

Primus: As I have said, I used what remaining power I have left. And with your knowledge you could help Optimus Prime.

???: You make it sound easy. But in case you haven't noticed, I'm stranded here.

Primus: You would be right. But there are a few functional vessels left that will take you to him.

I could only shake my head and sigh. But as I did something clicked in my mind. I didn't notice or realize just who's body I had.

???: Dinobot?

Primus: I see you finally noticed.

Dinobot: Why him? And how is he or was on Cybertron?

Primus: Dinobot was a strong warrior, but sadly he fought for the decepticons. In his final moments he turned on his former comrades in order to safeguard those who could not defend themselves.

Dinobot: And now I inhabit his body. Such cruel irony, an honorable warrior gives his life only for someone else to replace his soul.

Primus: I know it is unpleasant but I had little choice.

Dinobot: Now that I've been given a second chance, involuntarily. I have questions that need answers to.

Primus: You may ask.

Dinobot: I know of the many universes, but tell me. Which universe do I inhabit?

Primus: You are within what you would call the Prime universe.

This made things more interesting. With my knowledge I could possibly help change the outcome of certain events. But even so, there would be no telling just what could happen even with the slightest change. Even my very presence here is one such change.

Dinobot: I am still angered by this situation. But, I will see what I can do. I will not squander this gift.

Primus: Thank you. If you wish I could help you find your way off of Cybertron.

Dinobot: That would be greatly appreciated.

I then began my trek to my only way off of the ruined world.

Time skip:

3rd POV:

It had been a while since he awoke on the desolate world. Memories of what had happened in the fall of Cybertron came to Dinobot's mind. An entire world brought to ruin because of one cybertronian's jealousy.

As he continued his journey he saw the remains of those who perished in the war. It was a very depressing sight to see so many fallen. The worst part for him and one he had hoped to avoid was to see any recognizable faces.

Dinobot: Is there anyone left on Cybertron?

Primus: Only scavengers remain. I believe you know who I speak of.

Dinobot: Insecticons.

As he mentioned said cybertronian insects he was reminded when Arcee and Jack encountered an insecticon when they went in search for vector sigma. Sadly he did not know how many were actually still around.

However unaware to Dinobot, he was being watched. On a nearby damaged building a shadowy figure stood at the edge and watched the former decepticon wander through the ruins of their now dead world. The figure soon began to follow him as he made his way to his destination.

Almost an hour of going through the ruins of Cybertron Dinobot caught sight of what he was searching for. Sitting upon a large platform was a decepticon ship.

He let out a small chuckle at seeing the ship. However an important factor came to mind, did the ship have enough fuel for such a journey. Dinobot proceeded to make his way to the ship unaware that he was being followed. As he got closer Dinobot got a better idea of how big the ship was. It was no nemesis but was definitely bigger then Wheeljack's ship.

Just as he was about to board the ship Dinobot heard something behind him. He recognized the sound as someone transforming. Dinobot turned around and was surprised to see who had just snuck up on him. Standing a few feet from him was someone he did not expect to see at all, Blackarachnia. From what he was seeing she looked vary close to her beast wars design with a few changes, namely she had three finger servos like her trans metal self and her spider legs were the same as Airachnid's. But the most interesting thing was she was about the same height as Arcee.

A/n: Pretty much she looks like this, just replace the hands and spiders legs as detailed above.

Blackarachnia: Sorry big guy, but this is my ship.

Dinobot: *chuckle* I don't see your name on it.

She then pulls out her signature weapon and aimed it at Dinobot.

Blackarachnia: Now look here. I've been stuck here for too long and I don't feel like dealing with smart afts, understand.

Dinobot just smirks at the small femme.

Dinobot: And what makes you think you can take me on?

Before the two could say any more they heard a loud buzzing getting closer to them. They looked around and saw an incoming insecticon. The two took cover once the insecticon began firing at them.

Dinobot: Friend of yours?

Blackarachnia: Like the pit he is!

Soon enough they heard the insecticon transform and land on the platform. Blackarachnia then took the initiative and her spider legs began firing at the insecticon. Sadly the insecticon was unaffected and charged at the small femme. Blackarachnia managed to dodge the insecticon who slammed his fist down where she once stood.

Dinobot began to think of what to do. Here he was in his first confrontation and the only one fighting was a small female cybertronian.

Said femme was dodging the insecticon's attacks. Sadly Blackarachnia missed a step and the insecticon grabbed her and slammed her against the ground. The insecticon reared it's right fist ready to strike Blackarachnia only for him to be tackled and released her.

Blackarachnia started to get back up and saw who had helped her. Currently the insecticon was dealing with Dinobot. Both were around similar height however the insecticon was a more experienced combatant compared to Dinobot. The two began trading blows as Blackarachnia recovered.

Just as the insecticon was about punch him, Dinobot caught the insecticon's fist. He was about to punch the insecticon only for his own fist to get caught. The insecticon let out a deep growl thinking it had the advantage. But that changed when an idea popped into Dinobot's head.

To the insecticon's surprise Dinobot's optics soon started to turn from red to green.

Dinobot: Eat slag!

He then fired his optic blasters into the insecticon's own optics. This resulted in the insecticon being blinded and screeching in pain. Without thinking Dinobot reached to his back which opened and gripped his sword. He then drove his sword down on the insecticon slicing into his opponent's right shoulder. Dinobot then gripped his sword with both servos and squeezed resulting in his sword's blade segments to begin spinning like a drill. This resulted in Dinobot bringing the sword further down eventually stopping at the insecticon's waist.

Dinobot couldn't help but smirk as he pulled his sword from the now offlined insecticon. The insecticon's body fell with energon leaking from it's massive wound. With the insecticon defeated Dinobot turned to the only other cybertronian on the platform. As before Blackarachnia had aimed her weapon at Dinobot. He then swung his sword removing the energon that was on it and sheathed his weapon.

Dinobot: Now since that's over with. I believe we are at a crossroads.

Blackarachnia: What are you talking about?

Dinobot: Simply put, we can stay here and continue our bickering or we take the ship together.

Blackarachnia: And why would I want to travel with you?

Dinobot: Because you'll need an ally. Your good in a fight theirs no doubt in that. But luck will only get you so far. And besides traveling alone could be quite boring.

Blackarachnia began to consider what he said. On one hand she could try and offline him and take the ship. On the other hand she could have a big bot like him watching her back. She shook her head and lowered her weapon.

Blackarachnia: I can't believe I'm agreeing to do this. So what's your name?

Dinobot: Dinobot, and don't look so happy we still need to see if this ship has enough energon to get us off Cybertron.

Blackarachnia: Agreed. And the names Blackarachnia.

Dinobot: Pleasure to meet you Blackarachnia.

Blackarachnia just groaned and made her way on to the ship. She was soon followed by Dinobot who was trying his best not to ogle her assets. Once inside the two began look around the interior of the ship. To Dinobot's relief it was able to accommodate his size which gave him plenty of room to move about. He then went to check the rest of the ship for anything useful.

As he did that Blackarachnia had walked into the cockpit of the ship and began checking the status. To her good fortune the ship did have energon for travel. However she still didn't know just how much was needed for the journey. Soon enough Dinobot had entered the cockpit.

Dinobot: I checked the cargo. Looks like we got a good bit of energon as well as weapons. So how's the ship's feul?

Blackarachnia: Good enough to get us off Cybertron. However it would be wise to be careful on where we go to.

Dinobot: Understandable. And I believe I know a good location for us to go to.

Blackarachnia: And where exactly is that?

Dinobot: Earth. A planet rich with energon.

Blackarachnia: Not a bad idea for a place to stop by. And how do we even get there?

Dinobot: Thanks to our great scientist, Shockwave was able to locate the planet.

Blackarachnia: Wait you mean that world he found, you actually want to head there.

Dinobot: As I said, the world is rich with energon. If we go there we could stock up. There's no telling how long our stock will last.

Blackarachnia: Alright. But I'm driving.

Dinobot: Fair enough.

The two took their seats and began to activate the ship.
